1) What you, among not exactly few others, refer to as 'Imperialism' and 'land stealing', is nothing else but a Reunification of territories that should never have been split off in the first place. Besides, it was an entirely voluntary merger of states agreeing to (re)unify, thus in full compliance with existing international law and treaties. It is beyond me how this can possibly be 'land stealing'. Following this logic, the Shikonjimanese Mainland would have to devolve into five fully sovereign states again, for the voluntary agreement to end the Clan Wars and unify back in 1679 would be 'land stealing', too. (Which would now make me wait for Lillorainen to devolve into a bunch of city-states again.)
2) With the difference being, that 'Anglo' and 'Hispanic' are, at least according to the understanding widely accepted in Shikonjima (and various other nations), are rather broader terms for ethnicities/nationalities sharing certain cultural traits, rather than ethnicities in a narrow sense of the term. Similarly, many count Shikonjimanese/Yonrei as 'Japonic', ethnically spoken, albeit there is a myriad of differences in language, genetics, religion, and cultural heritage. Creating one unified 'Japonic' state would indeed by undesirable, whereas creating one Shikonjimanese/Yonrei state is more than logical.
3) Except the 'regime' is neither (extraordinary) distant, nor 'foreign', the reasons for which being stated above.
4) and 5)Nobody ever said, that the Ferinan-Islanders were 'unable' to govern themselves, and to an extent, they will continue to do so while being parts of Shikonjima under international law, as mostly autonomous parts of the Shikonjimanese Realm, at a greater level than any part of the Mainland. As for 'being better off' as a reason for the Reunification - it was not the only reason for it; further points are already dealt with in 1), 2), and 3). As for 'racism' - even if we did believe in the concept of 'race' in the first place (which we don't, as we aren't exactly fans of 16th century Western 'anthropology'), how would it be 'racist' to welcome people back into Shikonjima who are, by a larger majority than the Mainland even, Shikonjimanese themselves?

So, apparently one does a lot of political commenting around these parts and the current topic of being offended is the Reunification/Annexation of the Ferinan-Archipelago into Shikonjima. I must admit, that I have never been there (unlike Immy, best regards). Yet, I personally see the peaceful protest of supporters of this reunification as proof of there not only being supporters but also a, until now, silent majority. Of course, one could now argue, that they all have been bought, are secret agents, conscripts dressed up as civilians or something of that kind, but until there is definitive proof of such a thing, I am going to believe, that a few hooligans shooting at the police do not represent the will of the people living there.
I have, in my time, seen enough occupations and less peaceful annexations, been part of enough such operations myself, to tell you, that if there really is a large movement of people, who wish for the independence of the Archipelago, there would be a lot more violence and a lot more Mainland-Shikonmanjese Infantry around.

I am so happy with everything my people have built. If things ended tomorrow in an asteroid strike, we could look back at what we’ve accomplished and smile in the afterlife. Top ranked sports teams in international competition. Championships, even back to back. Developing a brand into one of the top car companies and adding titles in several race leagues. Superstar drivers like Jessica Franssen. Boxers who’ve won several tournaments and Olympic medals to boot. We have made major noise in a way we almost couldn’t have dreamed of on these fronts.

We are more than a nation of war. Yet we’ve stood up to major alliances, including the events of the 2014 Mirevia Crisis. We assisted after the nation of Turntry was struck by nuclear warheads.

We have made friends and enemies alike. The former are so strong and interesting that the latter does not really matter. We’ve led campaigns which lasted years and ended even longer ago. We are a diverse nation that’s a part of a flourishing society. We do not treat our soldiers like resources built to die for politics.

I am so proud to be Vannish, to be a Vangazi. We have reached out to those with different views and urged moderation. We’ve even funded clandestine operations to rile up certain establishments. And every, single thing was worth it. Every reaction. Every set of hurt feelings, false judgement and laugh at their expense. Just as every smile, bond and alliance was equally so.

Worth it.

I say to other world leaders, expand your horizons. Bring your nations into the sporting world. Build major companies and put them on the international stage. Not just with storefronts, but by getting those companies involved.

There's discussion the RAJ is looking to send RBI agents to probe further into the supposed protests of the Shikonjima-Ferinan Archipelago Reunification Process. Just my own opinion is Her Majesty the Empress and Agent Black should investigate to prove things are working as promised. There's all these rumors of suppression but I imagine it's nothing more than a bunch of republican nuts trying to spread propaganda and falsehoods. I'd even offer up myself if we set up a Military Mission to help oversee the process. As such that's the Empress's decison to make for now if civil law enforcement is the way to go, then so be it. Still I do feel our Empress is dragging her feet on the matter to please everyone.

This is the story of Linda Henshmen and why she really is a legend. Not just because I said so on social media. Vangaziland nor her puppet entities ran any of these tournaments. Some of the top, no, THE top athletics nations of the multiverse took part in these events. Look at how many years took place between these events. It started with a simple boxing title. Then she joined an MMA tourney and won a belt, as did her two teammates. Then she entered multiple events in the Olympiad and won gold-gold-gold. Winning those medals is really hard for one person to do three times. Winning one or two can be done with effort. But to pull three among so many competitors? Keep in mind that she fought men in some of these competitions.

I see you are in middle school. I say to you, train yourself to get on Linda's level. Refine your discipline. Win several medals, not in a regional Olympiad... But in the official Olympiad which encompasses challengers from across the multiverse. I can do the same type of listing with our basketball team, it's titles and official world ranking. Or our lacrosse team and that of Wrexwic which have multiple titles and also held ranks from #1 to #3. I could do the same with Vannish Motors in the WGPC and the WGP2 where Jessica Franssen almost became as much of a legend as Linda Henshmen. Especially with her international rally title also tacked on.

There are even many more stories of our teams who simply fought hard and well without earning this success. But they left the field, arena or stadium knowing they were true competitors. Real showcases of heart, endurance and perseverance. It took years to build our best programs to their standing on or near the top.

I do hope to see many of the nations I see at places like PiffleNet take to the pitch in the greater sporting world. It's easy to claim to be the best at one thing or another. It is a different story to build something over years and years. This type of thing is why I am so proud of Vangaziland. We have done more internationally than simply blustering and endless war.

So I say to you, middle schooler. Be the best you can be. Grow to become one of the top athletes in the multiverse. Feel free to show me links to your competitions to enlighten me as well. By the way, a mixed martial art which has grown to almost become an indigenous style here is called Van Judo Jitsu.

Vang: Remember, that you are talking to a middle schooler, yes (and starting this year, High Schooler), but that I can still place an arrow in the bullseye of an apple-sized target at 400 meters in nine out of ten shots and the same from the back of a galloping horse in three out of 5. Sadly, I would not be aware of any larger international competitions allowing me to display those skills at that distance (and our style of swordfighting finds little love outside of the Free Lands as well), but I can assure you, that I have a few trophies, both for team contests and for single contests. Among them my proudest are the Ironcastle Ironworks Junior Trophies of 2019 and 2018, not because of the wide field of participants, but because I won them in internal competition among the children of the workers of the company my Father works for. There're not many more honourable trophies, which I could achieve, if you ask me.
But you asked for more international competitions, so I ask you... ever heard of NASJAR 1 and NASJAR 2? Granted, I did not compete, but you did, in NASJAR 2... and it was aborted right in the middle of it, which is an utter shame. So, we do have our international successes outside of the more niche-sports like Sensha-Do (where we do have our successes as well, but I leave the tales of those to those who actually drove the tanks).
That being said, laddie, that little fist-swinging lassie is a nice, inspirational story. I personally prefer other stories.

Elements within the government of Shikonjma who oppose the annexation of the Ferinan Archipelago have leaked a cache of extremely sensitive documents to our journalists at VickyLeaks, confirming suspicions that regime forces and their allies are gearing up for a massive assault on the islands, backed up by significant naval power. This comes as calls grow internationally for the Shikonjimanese regime to reverse its decision and hold a referendum on the sovereignty of the Ferinan Archipelago. In the last number of days, there has also been evidence of massacres perpetrated by authorities against demonstrators who oppose the demonstration. This information was provided to us by anonymous, high-ranking officials in both the foreign affairs department of the government who sympathise with the plight of the Ferinan people.

It is publicly available information that Astarian naval unit Carrier Group 32 is currently transiting close to Shikonjima and the Ferinan Archipelago. A number of days ago, news broke of a catastrophic incident aboard the flagship IAS Ebon Atoll resulting in approximately 60 deaths, with many more injured. The pretext of 'military exercises' had been used to justify the presence of Carrier Group 32, but it is now clear through analysis of photographs taken from orbit and these leaked documents that their true purpose is to be used in crushing any uprising which occurs in response to the occupation of the islands by foreign troops. It is likely that this accident has set back plans for the invasion by a number of days or weeks as medical facilities onboard are overwhelmed.

The leaked documents show correspondence between Minister for Foreign Affairs, Jitsuko Sageshima, and individuals from countries friendly to Shikonjima, including discussions for plans to land a sizeable number of soldiers on the islands to assist domestic police forces in quelling the protests as well as combatting any possible armed resistance to the occupation, which officials predict to be extensive. E-mails from Sageshima also confirm suspicions that pro-Shikonjima rallies in the Ferinan Archipelago were organised and funded by the government in an attempt to prove domestic support for annexation and that Shikonjimanese state media is underreporting both national opposition and the size of anti-annexation protests to a significant degree.
