TL;DR: Announcement of events with increased chances of pulling hard to find cards!

What is this?

Cards which nations no longer exists are extremely hard to find naturally. Buying them can be either extremely expensive or none of the owners are willing to sell. During a pull event, a card is put up at auction. This increases the chances of the card being able to be found by those card farming during the time period. Frequently, card farmers save us packs to increase their chances of pulling the card in the pull event.

Once a month, The North Pacific Cards Guild will be hosting a pull event, nominations for which card to be auctioned are open to the public, the Cards Guild Leadership will then determine which cards we can acquire for pulling (many thanks to the members of The North Pacific Cards Guild for volunteering cards from their personal collection as well as members from the cards community). Finally, members of the Guild will vote on which card to be pulled.

The date and time will be announced in advance, as well a post will be made in this thread once the event begins (as well as several Discord servers).

Inven got the most important fact down, and that user getting multiple copies had led many others to also gain the card.

For NASTIC 2, 3 nations found it (Card Farmer 511, Spice Harvester 385, and Spice Harvester 396), with 2 nations (aka the Spice Harvester ones) being alt accounts of the same user:

Later on, that same user (i.e. Leto II Atreides, the owner of the Spice Harvester accounts) would attempt to sell the card to themselves, allowing 4 more nations to pull it (90022, Camnicopia, The Mongo Empire, and Jamas Ragi). Xoriet also bought the card after Leto tried selling to themselves.

As to why this card is so popular, it is due to the fact that it's an extremely old (former) delegate of The North Pacific (along with the fact that it's one of the very few ex-nation historical resolution authors in the game). Even Koem Kab himself took the time to buy NASTIC 2 using his main account.

BTW, I have since realized that the Guild might not be able to do a pull event for quite a number of these since they do not actually have that card to run a pull event with. Most are low owners. Oops.

I don't mind a lot of nominations, it's just that with about a dozen votes on which card to be pulled, we don't need to have that many nominations.

The votes are in. Nervun Season 2 was the winner and will be pulled. Additionally, the runner-up of HMS Unicorn Season 1 will be pulled as well.

Yes. Nervun was found by Racoda—there are now three owners of that legendary. One copy of HMS Unicorn was found by Sakana/Feu De Glace. So a successful event for those two.

We'll be back in March with another event.
