Card queries [season 3 queries available]

If for whatever reason you think having mixed-season queries would be useful, please post here.

Would this allow searching for cards which has been promoted or demoted between seasons? Or those who have lost or gained a badge or trophy?

That's not how I was originally thinking about it, but it is an interesting possibility.

For example, I could allow someone to do "+rarity:ultra-rare:season1, -rarity:epic:season2", to get all cards that are UR in S1 and are not epic in S2.

It'll take some extensive editing of the current codebase to allow for this third-level season specifier, but I'll add it to my TODO.

Right now, it doesn't support wildcards or regular expressions. It should be easy to add that (at least for fields where it makes sense, e.g., name, region, motto, and flag). It is a little busy right now in RL, but I'll try to add it soonish.

The card queries page has been updated to allow searches based on decks and collections. You can use this to check, for example, which cards meeting certain criteria re missing from your deck or a collection you are putting together.

Can you search for specific flags that were part of the nation creation menu? As in "default flags", "Iran flags", or in my case "Basque Country flags". That would be cool and possibly doable.

Once a nation CTE's, it card gets 10 times rarer. If it has 0 owners, the card still exists, because it can still be pulled, albeit very rarely. If someone who owns a card CTE's, that has no bearing on the card itself.

According to TNL's card market watch spreadsheet, the odds of a Season 2 card being a legendary card today, March 6th, are 0.16%. So that's a 0.8% chance of finding a legendary in a pack of Season Two cards (one every 125 packs). However, there's also a 1% chance that a pack will be a Season 1 pack, in which case the odds are better: up to 0.32% chance of pulling a legendary per card, or 1.6% chance of pulling a legendary per pack (exactly twice the odds of Season 2). Altogether though, the odds of pulling a legendary card from any season are still only a .808% chance per pack.

Additionally, there's a 10% that a pack (from either season) will be able to pull CTE'd cards as well (not ex-nation cards--that's different). These 10% of packs aren't guaranteed to contain only CTE'd cards, but rather than only turning up cards of currently active nations, they might also turn up other cards whose nations don't exist anymore, from the same season. I don't think anyone has the exact numbers on how many of these cards there are total, or how that changes the odds of pulling a legendary. Of course, legendaries and commons CTE alike, but in general it's assumed that legendary cards belong to the nations of players who have been around a while and are thus more likely to stick around. This means they CTE less frequently, so when you open a pack that may contain CTE cards, the odds of pulling a legendary card dip a little bit. If I knew how many cards there were total I'd be able to tell you how much exactly, but presumably the effect is negligible.

General questions would be welcomed in the thread for the Cards Guide. It would certainly be helpful to know what additional information should be included in the Guide if there are questions about content not covered in the Guide.

Yes. From the list, for example, +region:lazarus, it could find every card people current have placed on the market with something like +auction
