Just to give a bit of comment from a rookie of NSSCRA 8:

The guaranteed spot will no longer be guaranteed (pun intended) when you don't RP too frequently. It doesn't have to be too frequent for every race from what I have been told, or for every qualifications / race, but it pays to show that you're present in the RP and in the sports. ^^

Also and yeah, #31 Gwen had been in that situation before. All my Valentian drivers start from bottom places (30-40th finishes) and Gwen for disqualified a few times because her timing didn't cut it. Eventually, some folks didn't RP due to several reasons, so their guaranteed spots get taken one by one and are given to more frequent players.

And that is how Gwen got her guaranteed spot halfway in the season.

In short... Everything that was said before is true, and I'll add that the folks at NSSCRA and Newmanistan themselves have been very, very accomodating and rookie/newbie-friendly.

How perplexing that Valentina did better than the two relatively experienced drivers.

I suppose Clarissa and Gwen got themselves competition!

Also for the relative newbies or those with less-than-stellar results, don't worry! I have been there. Just keep pumping out good RPs (which you are all doing now) and your drivers will shine! Plus, this race doesn't count.

On topic: is Tian a rich spoiled guy who thinks he's a great racer, or genuinely determined to show his worth to the world?

Also, if his father really has the big bucks, why did he buy his son a Mercado? Why not a Chad, Dart or Blaze for example? Or if we're just going for Xannerian brands, surely the Knox has more success?

A little of both.

The Mercado deal was probably negotiated by Hengxing.

Mercado is the Knox luxury brand , like Lincoln is to Ford

Mrtcado also tends to go for ~~more gullible~~ smaller teams.

Though the Mercado might see more improvement this season with Appalachia hopefully RPING more.

Neither one. He expects to win and has an unrealistic idea of his own talent, but he's not as much of a sore loser as Li.

KRD is Knox Racing Developments, it's similar to Toyota's TRD. and presumably (I haven't really developed this part out) Knox would actually hold a small stake of about 25-33% in Team Iona through KRD.

Also think of it this way

Knox = Ford
Mercado = Lincoln

Knox would be marketed towards a larger working-class market while Mercado would target a smaller higher end market of upper-middle class and high class executives, such as Tiangs family.

Just thought I'd put this here since Xanneria/Appalachia won't respond to my TG:

But the issue was Thea Alverez. An issue developed with her car and she pit right away on lap 10 while leading. A loose wheel caused by loose lugnuts doomed her

Wrong. Alvarez lost the lead on Lap 4, and pitted due to a tight car. If you read my RP, that was stated there. Also:

Jeremiah Brooke ran a bit more steady race finishing third in a side by side duel with Lexi Patterson

Brooke was second. Come on, man.

To everyone else, if I'm the one who makes mistakes, tell me asap.

Sherpa: Reading your latest RP, I kinda feel bad for ol' Baozi there. He's being shouted at for a PEBSWAC* problem.

Guys, how am I doing when it comes to storytelling? I've been looking up to a lot of you guys (most notably Fleft, Sherpa, and also Hap) for inspiration. Gotta branch out from news articles, ya know. But those would still be a thing.

I enjoyed it. I thought it was an entertaining narrative of the incident from Mr. Nystrom's point of view, and it showed a side of him that I hadn't seen before - that of frustration with what had happened. Keep it up.
