I believe they left before TITO came in- likely so they could feel like they were in control.

Either way, they left and Shadow burned a puppet in the process. A win in my books.

It doesn't have a password on it... and even so, mostly everyone is voting against.

What? That you couldn't hold a region behind a password? Yep seems pretty embarrassing to me.

I don’t know whether you’re trying to say that this proposal wouldn’t have passed, or that you don’t know what liberations do.

Wasn't there another one where the region got refounded by invaders before the vote completed, or did that happen before the proposal actually went up to vote?

From what I can remember/dredge up: Liberate Femdom Empire (passed in 2018 and then repealed by yours truly); Liberate Deep Space (defeated in 2013 - long before my time - invaders defeated two days before coming to vote). Neither of them from Kuriko; now opposed in line with her wishes.

EDIT, 1943 GMT: See below from Kuri; my memory's failing me :P

What I’m saying is that we chose not to hold it, so that this liberation would be a waste of the defender’s time. We could have held that region indefinitely if we so chose to do so.

I think that you knew that TITO, LibCord, NPA, etc alone have at least 5 times the pilers you could pull without even including all the other militaries and just random players that would want to get involved. If you want to pretend like you had control, don’t expect anyone to believe it.

Regardless of whether he is moving goalposts or this was always their plan, this proposal gave them unwarranted attention. I think we should all learn our lesson from this and not bother proposing anymore liberation proposals that target dead, irrelevant regions these folks are pestering. If they want attention, make them work for it by invading something that actually matters, and until then we should just ignore them, even if they do refound their targets.

They're doing this for the attention. Proposals like this, responses in these threads, this is what makes it fun and worthwhile for them.

Just. Ignore. Them.

Seriously, they will get bored and go away, but not while we're continuing to give them the attention they so desperately seek.

I've personally learned my lesson from this and will be voting against future liberation proposals targeting dead regions that serve no purpose other than to give these people attention. If they hit something with an actual, real native population who are actually upset, then I'll reevaluate. What they want right now is to force us to be their opponents, force us to play the game with them, and I'm not going to play the game with them. Not doing it.

"We are going AGAINST this resolution as the invaders are pushed out already and the founder has consequently returned back. Following the facts, this will render this resolution purposes of it, moot and does not serve any more necessary purpose for its intended goal from its liberation. " He then walks back when a woman looks at him with scary eyes. He was taken aback and quickly leaves.
