City of Aeos-Captial City of the Hobbeebian Imperium- Palace of the Eternal- Throne room of Aetheria
Within the throne room proper the room was vaulted with staging steps of solid polish white marble with golden inlay depicting the history of the Imperium starting as three feudal kingdoms ruled by three brothers, the War of Unification which saws the three become one under the banner of Hobbeebius Ickarus the Eternal, and the numerous wars and advancements in Hobbeebian culture and society- in all some nearly 1200 years of recorded history all keep in detail through the carvings. The room which was circular was supported by massive pillars of polished obsidian each depicting a statue of other past Emperors whom died in battle while defending the Imperium and expanding her influence with the arms stretch upward as if holding up the roof. Around the walls of the room where tapestries of various scenes of history and Imperial heraldry... all illuminated by the sun which was brought in an defused providing soft golden light with no determinable point of origin.
The Call of Court had finally ended, where once a thousand citizens once stood clamoring for a chance to bend the ear of their Lords, now stood no one and the roar of the crowds gave way to the blissful silence of the void which filled the ornate and glittering halls of the throne room where Hobbeebius, Ca'rl, and Johnnius remainder seated in their respective thrones. Each savoring that very silence before one would speak and ruin it all. Behind them stood their ever-faithful watchers and protectors, the fabled Guardians-of-Light, 13 in all 4 to each with one presiding over as the Guardian Commander each nameless each an unknown- as per tradition. Like most things in the Imperium, the throne room, guardians armor and weapons, and the imperial palace exemplified to high attention to detail and the peek of craftsmanship.
From this room the full power and might of the Imperial family was seated and the weight of that power could be felt by all as if like a presence that lingered in the air and invaded the mind of those who entered... no matter whom they might be. As the Emperors sat in silence the massive carve stone doors slowly opened to the chorus of aged, yet strong wrought iron hinges. then entered the Imperial Chamberlain who carried with him a missive written by the Imperial Academy of International Affairs. As the Chamberlain came to a stop he lowered his head as a sign of respect and awaited to be acknowledged by the three... Hobbeebius was the first to speak.
"Chamberlain Mattaius... I see you bring news. Speak and let it be known." Mattaius lifted the missive which was ascribed upon vellum.
Your Imperial Majesties, May your reign by long and your wisdom unyielding. This missive comes from the Imperial Academy of International Affairs, and upon it are these words... (Clears throat) By your grace my Lords we bring you the news of the conglomeration of local states, of non-vassal status and the proclamation of the creation of a new regional authority provided power herein by the signatory nations of the region. The invitation has been extended to our great nation to accept the terms and join the budding authority. Since this invitation an election has been announced by the new governing body to determine the executive head, known as the Bishop." As the Chamberlain ended the missive he rolled the parchment back and offering it to his Lords if they so choose. Hobbeebius waved his hand to dismiss as did the others prompting the Chamberlain to respectfully bow before performing an about face and retreating from the room.
Chamberlain! Please wait. We wish to release a missive of our own... The Chamberlain turned about once more and riased his head as if to signal he was ready to receive the message.
"One can not stop the tide of the oceans much like no one can stop the tides of change. We applaud the nations around us in coming together and recognizing that their power does not come from them alone but from the unify strength of unified states. However, Bearing this in mind we can not abide by an election to head the region is what seems to be a super-state fashion that if not already will seek to erode the sovereignty and the very cultures of those nations that comprise of its membership. As such the Imperium will remain neutral in this "Golden Kingdoms" affairs, but will also expect in kind the mutual respect shown to it by that same Imperium.
