Tropicorp Racing Supply - SIFAKA Racing Tyres

Tropicorp Sifaka Tyres set for NSSCRA Return

Tropicorp Racing Supply, Tropicoast, Tropicorp :: Tropicorp Racing Supply are set for another big season as the NSSCRA circuit prepares to kick off its season in Tundra Falls. The specialty Sifaka tyre compound developed from Calanian rubber has been one of the most successful racing tyres in the multiverse since its introduction.

During NSSCRA Season 8, 50% of all teams in competition were using the Tropicorp Sifaka Tyre compound. Over the thirty-one race season including the pre-season Tundra Falls Exhibition, Tropicorp Racing Supply drivers earned 24 pole positions and 26 race victories - reaching Victory Lane in over 86% of events and being shut out entirely from the top spot on the leader board just once over the 30 race season, at the Jusnkyo Training Ground in The Sherpa Empire when a pair of IRACT-backed drivers took Pole Position and the Race Victory.

Many of the top teams in the sport have confirmed they will once again align themselves with Tropicorp Racing Supply and utilize the Tropicorp Sifaka tyre in competition while a number of new teams will be taking part in their first ever NSSCRA Season. Tropicorp Racing Supply welcomes new teams looking for a proven partner to commit to the Tropicorp Sifaka tyre prior to the season opening Tundra Falls Exhibition. Debutant teams that commit to Tropicorp Racing Supply for their tyres for the NSSCRA Season 9 campaign will receive free tyres for all Exhibition events as well as use of the Tropicoast-based Islander Racing Simulator (IRS) developed by Tropicorp Engineer Euroli Islander to aide inexperienced drivers in preparing to drive at circuits recurring on the NSSCRA calendar.

Image

Tropicorp Racing Supply will be bringing truckloads of their Sifaka branded motorsport tyres to each NSSCRA event regardless of the number of hard commitments they have from teams, as they will also have more than enough tires on hand to support any teams that are not weekly Tropicorp customers who wish to switch their tyre allegiances on race weekend. Tropicorp engineers will have three primary slick variants with a Super Speedway tire with an inner liner, an intermediate and a thick-walled tire with no inner liner to be used at Short Tracks and high impact road course events.

Additionally, Tropicorp will bring its 'Storm' variant tyre to select road course events where the sanctioning body could decide to attempt racing in the Wet if desired. This new derivative of the Tropicorp Racing Supply Tyre line and may represent a crossover into the personnel transport market through the "Storm" branding which replaces the Sifaka word mark on the wet tyres only.

Tropicorp Racing Supply will be looking to continue their success on the biggest stages in motorsports. In the most recently completed 17th World Grand Prix Championship, the Tropicorp-backed TRAE team handily won the constructors championship scoring nearly double the total points of their nearest opponent, Nexus Racing. In the Supplier Performance Standings which considered only the highest finishing drive on each Tyre Compound, Tropicorp Racing Supply backed drivers were similarly dominant with the Sifaka Tyre accounting for 264 points ahead of the 137 earned by second-best performer Brutus-InMotion

Tropicorp Racing Supply will accept all requests for teams to align themselves with the Sifaka tyre for the NSSCRA 9 season. Teams wishing to align with Tropicorp, the most decorated Tyre Supplier on the market, may do so simply by expressing their desire to commit to running Sifaka tyres or by contacting their Tropicorp Representative. Teams do not have to get pre-approval to use the Tropicorp Sifaka tyre. Early commits will also receive priority testing data from Euroli Islanders most recent competitive laps at the Tundra Falls Super Speedway. Teams who have not yet committed to Tropicorp Racing Supply prior to the start of the season will still be able to purchase Tropicorp Sifaka tyres at the track for their evaluation on a weekly basis at full cost.

Tropicorp is a quasi-governmental corporation created to conduct Research, Development and Production activities primarily on behalf of the Tropics of Vilita. One of the byproducts of Tropicorps development in a remote location on the Calanian mainland has been the removal of native and wild tree species to make way for development space. Tropicorp engineers discovered a dense grove of Calanian rubber trees.

Tropicorp Engineering developed the special Calanian rubber to create high performance racing tyres for testing purposes. After the tests proved successful, It wasn't long before the tooling was done and Racing Tyres were popping out on an hourly basis from the workshop and Tropicorp Racing Supply was born. Everything on Tropicorp Racing Supply's standard product line from Crew Uniforms to Composite-Material suspension parts will be on offer. - even the potential for advanced product opportunities through Tropicorp Engineering to include Chassis and Hybrid Power systems.

While Tropicorp Racing Supply have made a name through their high performance tyres which have earned championships in the NSSCRA, World Grand Prix Championships and Formula Hodori, they also supply parts for every component of a racing vehicle in addition to pit crew, engineering and data analytics solutions for racing teams.

(OOC: “Good Anywhere” should be interpreted as just an advertising campaign. Whether these travelers’ checks actually are accepted in your nation is entirely up to you. In other news, DAMN am I glad we're back!)

TEAM BLUE GETS NEW SPONSOR – HAPICORP BANK TO SPONSOR ALL THREE CARS
SPONSOR DEAL SAID TO BE IN THE “LOW NINE FIGURES”
By Darius Buford, the Hapilopper Television Network

HAPILOPPER CITY – Team Blue team owner Amanda McAlister announced Monday morning that HapiCorp Bank, also known as the First Bank of Hapilopper, will become the team’s primary sponsor for its three-car NSSCRA effort.
The cars will be used to advertise the bank’s Travelers Checks, which has been boasted as being “good anywhere” in an extensive advertising campaign from the bank.
“What better place than the multiversal NSSCRA series than to demonstrate that our Travelers Checks truly are good anywhere?” said Patrick Norton, president of HapiCorp Bank, at Monday’s announcement. “As you know, Team Blue competes in dozens of nations across the multiverse, and they’ll need something that will be as good as cash no matter where they compete.”
Representatives from both HapiCorp and Team Blue declined to discuss specifics concerning the deal, other than the fact that the bank will sponsor all three of Team Blue’s full-time cars in the NSSCRA. However, a source close to Team Blue indicated that the deal is somewhere in the “low nine figures” per year.
Until about a week ago, it was strongly suggested that the team would run three different paint schemes for its three-car team. Chris Holmes was expected to run a factory-sponsored blue and green car, similar to last season, Frank Bronson was expected to run a new paint scheme reflecting Hapilopper Airlines’ new livery for its planes, and rookie Taylor Henderson was expected to run alternating orange and green paint schemes for Sharpe’s Coffee Company, a company her family owns a stake in.
A source close to Team Blue indicated that both Hapilopper Airlines and Sharpe’s was more than happy to give the primary role to HapiCorp owing largely to the sheer size of the sponsorship package. Both sponsors have stayed on with Team Blue, which includes Hapilopper Airlines’ reported free airfare and cargofare for the team throughout the season. The team flies from Hapilopper to other nations on the Team Blue Shuttle, a commercial long-range airliner, while the transporters are loaded on the Team Blue Express, a long-range cargo plane.
According to reports, a series of commercials featuring the Team Blue three for HapiCorp Bank will debut during HTN’s coverage of the NSSCRA season opener in Newmanistan and are reportedly being filmed at the West Hampton Motor Speedway.
While Team Blue will run three HapiCorp-sponsored cars in the NSSCRA, their reported return to the HASCAR Challenge Cup will have sponsorship from Preston Autos for Mark Arbuckle and Brooks Benson.
This year, Team Blue will run the newer, sleeker, Super Skychief from Preston Autos in both the NSSCRA and HASCAR this year. The car made its world debut last year during the NSSCRA’s first ever race in the Dominion, the Super Skychief 500 at the Hapilopper National Exhibition. Before the car’s world debut, Team Blue drivers Chris Holmes, Chet Byrd, Frank Bronson and Drake Stevenson broke the record for the Anderson Run, the long-distance trip across Hapilopper, in a stock Super Skychief.

TEAM BLUE LINEUP, NSSCRA IX

Team Owner/Principal: Amanda McAlister
The daughter of former team owner/principal Ken Henson, McAlister took over the team in an inner-office coup last season. McAlister, 40, rarely went to motor racing events, opting to stay in her office role as Team Blue's finance director. Much more conservative and calmer than Ken Henson, McAlister is expected to present a calming touch to Team Blue's NSSCRA efforts. McAlister was, for a brief moment last season, in a romantic relationship with lead driver Chris Holmes, but the two have remained friends.
Driver Coach/Consultant: Chet Byrd
Chet Byrd's 40-plus year career came to an end last year, not with a bang but with a whimper. Regardless, Chet has taken the role of driver consultant this season, a position previously held by Drake Stevenson. But Drake is competing in the World Grand Prix 2 Championship, and Chet has agreed to travel with Team Blue this season as a driver consultant. Chet likes the finer things in life, such as cigars and very fine whiskey, which helped him get a sponsorship from Mark Taylor's Bourbon Whiskey last season after the chicken suit incident at the Pencurve 500 in St. Kanye cost him a sponsorship. With Chet traveling, the season is expected to be fun, to say the least.
Preston Autos Representative: Marty Lewis
Did I say "fun"? Right. Marty Lewis, the manufacturer rep for Preston Autos, will be traveling with the team this season as well. Lewis, of course will represent Preston Autos throughout the year, and if you have any questions about possibly running a Preston Super Skychief this season like Team Blue and an independent team from Wreckeria, he's your guy to talk to. Marty is known for his party-loving attitude, and has been known to pull off some ridiculous stunts over the years at race tracks. Reportedly, fireworks manufacturers have restricted sale of their goods to him, thanks to his past tendency to get a hold of firecrackers and shoot them off at people when they least expected it - or wanted it.

#81 | CHRIS HOLMES | Age: 25 | Hometown: Buckridge | NSSCRA Starts: 30 | NSSCRA Wins: 1 | NSSCRA Cups: 0

The pre-eminent stock car driver in Hapilopper today, Christopher Holmes is preparing to start his second season as Team Blue's leading driver for their NSSCRA efforts. Holmes' first season in the multiverse's leading stock car series demonstrated that he could drive the hell out of a race car, but also demonstrated that he was prone to silliness, as seen in multiple incidents during the last season, including an incident involving a golf cart and one involving an iguana in the car of eventual series champion Kai Qiang. Chris will also find himself without team consultant and roommate Drake Stevenson, who will be competing in the World Grand Prix Championship. Retired driver Chet Byrd, who served as Chris's teammate last season, will fill Drake's spot as team consultant this year. Last season, Chris made it to the NSSCRA Chase, so it'll be interesting to see if he can top that performance.

#8 | FRANK BRONSON | Age: 40 | Hometown: Hapilopper City | NSSCRA Starts: 30 | NSSCRA Wins: 1 | NSSCRA Cups: 0

The second of Team Blue's returning drivers, Frank Bronson starts his second season with the team, a season highlighted by a victory in Xanneria. Bronson is a spokesman for Hapilopper Airlines, and his involvement with the team has allowed for the team to travel anywhere in the world on the Team Blue Shuttle and the Team Blue Express, the airliner's cargo plane. Bronson has a large fan following, owing to his years of hitting above his weight in the HASCAR Challenge Cup as a mere journeyman, and typically receives amongst the loudest cheers in driver introductions.
Crew Chief: Sal Freeman
Spotter: Paul "Sharp-Eyes" Glover

Image

#73 | TAYLOR HENDERSON | Age: 20 | Hometown: West Hampton | HASCAR Starts: 32 | HASCAR Wins: 2 | HASCAR Cups: 0

Considered the finest female talent in all of Hapilopper, Taylor Henderson replaces the retiring Chet Byrd as the third driver in the Team Blue stable. Henderson stunned everyone with a fantastic victory at her home track in West Hampton last season, and she followed it up with a victory in the Buckridge 500 near the end of the season. Henderson brings sponsorship from Sharpe's Coffee Company, a company that her family has owned for over 30 years. Away from the track, Taylor enjoys watching old movies and playing online computer games.

The Hawking house, the outskirts of Halsted, Wreckeria
Several weeks before the start of the season
For days, a group of six people had been working on the construction of three race cars for the coming NSSCRA season. They were led by Scott Hawking, the son of Michael Hawking of Hawking Motors, the designated Wreckerian importer of Preston automobiles. Scott had won two straight track championships at Halsted Raceway, a 4/10ths of a mile flat short track located near an old True Wreckerian encampment, and his crew of five men felt that they had the capability of constructing a car that could compete with the world’s best in the NSSCRA.

To say the very least, it seemed like a pipe dream at best. To them, and to Wreckeria, it seemed like some of the top NSSCRA teams were mega-million dollar operations with eight-figure sponsorship deals and race shops that resembled the world’s most advanced technological operation. Meanwhile, these six gentlemen were working in an old garage in the backyard of Michael Hawking’s house after they were done with their day jobs. They were hot-rodders from Halsted, guys who knew how to coax an extra mile per hour or five out of an engine. They knew how to build a race car, even one to the strict technical specifications of the NSSCRA.

There was no major corporate sponsorship – at least, not now. While Team Blue in Hapilopper had just boasted a nine-figure sponsorship with HapiCorp bank, the Hawkings had… Jill and Matt Lawrence of Halsted, an independent TV station, a friend’s gym, a dialysis center in Paulson County and a small trucking concern. None of them could boast even seven figures put together, much less nine, but at least the Lawrence family had promised the team free sandwiches for their race weekends traveling abroad.

Aside from that, that would be it. The six-man crew would likely find it hard to get across the multiverse and compete in the NSSCRA all season. More often than not, the team might have to find volunteers out of the infield or the grandstands to serve as pit crew members. The six would likely be staying in one rat-trap hotel room for a weekend, and heaven knows how they could actually travel to and from the races. They didn’t have a travel deal like Team Blue had with Hapilopper Airlines. They would have to hope for some kind of miracle to make it.

But if anything, they had a lifeline, and it came in the form of a representative from Preston Autos, who found his way to the Hawking house after several wrong turns and several stops to get directions. It wasn’t Marty Lewis. He was tied up with Team Blue. But it was one of his assistants, Hayley Chapman, who introduced herself to Scott’s wife, then came out to the garage in the backyard, where the six men were working hard on building the cars.

“I’m looking for a Mr. Scott Hawking, is he here?” Hayley asked.

“That’d be me,” Scott said.

“Right. I’m Hayley Chapman,” she said, introducing herself. “I’m with Preston Autos. Marty Lewis sent me over here. I’ll be your manufacturer representative for the coming season. Are these the cars you are going to bring to Tundra Falls?”

“That’s what we’re hoping for,” Scott said. “You know, we’ve been working for several weeks on these cars. It’s not really as if we’ve got a lot of resources behind us, so whatever help you can give us, it sure is appreciated.”

“Well, that’s why I’m here,” Hayley said with a smile on her face. “We at Preston Autos appreciate the work you and your family has done over the last 40 years importing our vehicles into Wreckeria, and as a result, we are prepared to give you whatever you need. Would you be in need of some bodies?”

“Shit yeah,” Scott said, leaning onto a bookshelf.

“That’s wonderful,” Hayley responded. “We’ll send you several Super Skychief bodies every week as you prepare for the coming races. We think their aerodynamic qualities will help you out throughout the season.”

One of the mechanics, sitting near the back of the garage, thumbing through an old workshop manual for a 1970s Preston Airstream sedan, looked up in shock.

“We’re getting the Super Skychief?” the mechanic said with some shock.

“Yes, you are,” Hayley said. “We’ve cleared it with Team Blue, and they’ve agreed to help you out with sending spare bodies over. Apparently they’ve produced more than a few, and they’re willing to send over the spares.”

“Probably had to whack Ken Henson’s ass with a boat paddle to make that work,” one mechanic cracked.

“Actually, Mr. Henson is no longer with Team Blue,” Hayley explained. “His daughter is there now, and she was more than happy to lend you the assistance you need.”

“Well, how about that.”

Sure enough, a few days later, two transporters carrying the “PRESTON AUTOS” logo appeared in the neighborhood. A few neighbors expressed concern why two giant trailers had pulled into the mostly-rural neighborhood, but they slowly started to understand once they saw the Super Skychief sheet metal. The car bodies were the last piece of the puzzle. The cars were ready to go to Newmanistan.

The Proving Grounds, Tundra Falls, Newmanistan
The first part of race weekend
Somehow or another, Scott Hawking and his friends had arrived in Newmanistan with their two cars on the back of a used auto transporter. The difference between them and the rest of the NSSCRA teams couldn’t be any wider. Team Blue, for instance, showed up with four transporters carrying two race cars each, the finest tools and equipment, a full-fledged mobile office called “The Team Blue Center,” and deluxe luxury motorcoaches for their three drivers to stay in. Hell, their team consultant brought his humidor with him to every race.

Scott Hawking and his five friends, meanwhile, had two race cars built in a backyard garage, tools that had been handed down from generations of parents working on automobiles, and all six shared one room in a hotel. Scott would get the bed as he would be driving the car, while the other five slept on the floor, in a chair, and even in a bathtub. They would rely on volunteers picked out from fans that had just come to watch a race in person for additional work. The volunteers wouldn’t get paid jack shit, but they would have the privilege of working for an NSSCRA team.

What the team from Wreckeria had was hope and the ability to work about as hard as anyone. This team had put in days and weeks of sleepless nights to build the absolute best cars they could, and as they got ready for the exhibition race at the Proving Grounds in Tundra Falls, they knew that, win or lose, they had finally made it.

They didn’t know it, but fans in Wreckeria had found out that one of their own would be participating in the multiverse’s premier stock car racing series, and had decided they would do whatever they could to support them. A reporter from Wreckerian Sports News, the leading sports publication in Wreckeria, walked over to Scott, who was sitting in a lawn chair in front of his car, wiping sweat off his brow.

“Scott Hawking, right?” asked the reporter, Ashley Crewe.

“Yeah,” Scott replied. “You are?”

“Ashley Crewe with Wreckerian Sports News. You’d be surprised how many people have been contacting us over the last week or so trying to figure out how they could support you.”

“What do you mean?” Scott said, his ears perking up.

“They found out you’re running NSSCRA,” she explained. “It’s the most popular racing series in Wreckeria. More people watch the NSSCRA than any other sports league in the nation, and people were over the moon when they found out one of our own would be competing. People want to see you race and do well.”

Scott stood up and leaned against the rear of his car. The news was extremely exciting to him, but he wasn’t sure how to take it.

“So… what you’re saying is…”

“Regular people across Wreckeria want to pitch in,” Ashley said. “You know, people that survived the Civil War and want to see us do something incredible on the world’s stage. We were wondering where people could send in their donations.”

Scott’s eyes got wide.

“Can I get back to you on that? We don’t have anything prepared.”

Scott Hawking and Team Wreckeria would compete in NSSCRA IX, alright, and they would compete on a wing, a prayer, and with the support of every man, woman and child that lived in the Reformed Republic of Wreckeria.

IRACT -- the Sherpa Empire's primary governing body for stock car racing -- is returning to NSSCRA for the 3rd season. Every spring, before the start of the NSSCRA season, IRACT hosts a short domestic racing series in the Sherpa Empire, and the drivers who finish at the top of the rankings in that series are allowed the represent IRACT in NSSCRA.

Prior to IRACT's founding, three Sherpa drivers from the Guilin Racing Club competed in NSSCRA 6. However, due to financial difficulties and conflicts with the Sherpa Ministry of Culture, the Guilin Racing Club was forced to sell one of its three charters to a team from Saint Kanye. The charter was then sold again, this time to a group of sponsors backing a young driver named Tsering Chu. Chu's sponsors leased the charter to IRACT for the duration of NSSCRA season 8, but they refused to renew the lease for season 9, so there are only two IRACT-managed teams:

Image

Image
#89 Liangmei Li 李亮美
Age: 23
Hometown: Chengdu, Sichuan
Car: TMW Phoenix

Liangmei Li is reputed to be one of the Sherpa Empire's best drivers, and she qualified for the Chase in NSSCRA 7, but due to IRACT's eccentric qualifying system, she was not able to secure a full-time charter for season 8. She was humiliated to miss out on most of the action last year, and now that she is back in NSSCRA, she is hungry for revenge.

When she is not racing, Li also works as a fashion model. Her good looks and racing ability made her a natural choice for sponsorships from Xianglian Sportswear and Baiyue Beauty. Both companies use Li as a model in their ads. Li is also sponsored by the Turorian herbal extract manufacturer Inura Extracts, IRACT's tire supplier Highland Tire, and her fuel supplier Caravan Oil.

Image
#06 Rinzi Aogar Zakhilwal
Age: 29
Hometown: Dali, Yunnan
Car: AutoModi 378

When Rinzi began his racing career, he drove a Hongxing sponsored by his mother's carpet shop and he became the laughingstock of IRACT because his car broke down so often. However, his failures proved to be a lack of funding rather than a lack of ability. Last year, he was discovered by AutoModi, who supplied him with a reliable car for the first time in his career, whereupon he qualified for NSSCRA and became season 8's Rookie of the Year. Now he is returning for season 9 and hoping to build on his success from last year.

Rinzi is a playful guy that sometimes plays pranks on people, but he does have a serious side when it comes to religion. He is a devout Muslim.

He still has a token sponsorship from his mom's carpet shop, Wolf Totem Carpets, for old time's sake, but he no longer relies on it for the bulk of his funding. His primary sponsor is the Kanyean men's care company Mayhem. Other sponsors include CocoMart, Seven Peaks Tsampa, Highland Tire, and Petrohan.

Image

The reason Tsering Chu's sponsors refused to lease their charter to IRACT is because they have their own plans for it. The charter is jointly controlled by the Deaf Cultural Association of the Sherpa Empire and Yulha Sherpa College for the Deaf. YSCD negotiated a deal with defending NSSCRA champion Kai Qiang, in which he will be allowed to use the charter and their students will be offered educational opportunities related to NSSCRA. Since Qiang already had an experienced pit crew and did not want to use YSCD students in that role, many of the educational opportunities are related to journalism reporting on NSSCRA or marketing products for the team's corporate sponsors. Don't be surprised if you see some YSCD students around the track filming a documentary or serving up samples of Auntie Shang's fish cakes.

#44 Kai Qiang 强凯
Age: 27
Hometown: Guilin, Guangxi
Car: TMW Phoenix

Kai Qiang is one of the Sherpa Empire's most dramatic rags to riches stories. He is originally from a poor farming family, he lost both his parents at an early age, and he never finished high school. For the first couple of years after his father died, Qiang lived in grinding poverty and his sister was pressured into an arranged marriage with an abusive jerk. The Guilin Racing Club helped Qiang get into racing because they wanted to incorporate his family farm into the grounds of the Li River Speedway. Qiang was still limited to entering local races in his native Guangxi until a wealthy friend gave him the chance to compete in NSSCRA 6.

Qiang has been consistently successful for the past three seasons of NSSCRA, and he is the defending champion from season 8. His success in NSSCRA has done wonders for his personal finances, but his personal and political views are still influenced by the experience of growing up poor.

He was able to secure a deal with Yulha Sherpa College based on a combination of his success at the track and his marriage to Tsering Chu. The Sherpa Empire allows polygamy, and Qiang is also married to Chu's best friend, a slightly deranged medical student named Mendok Sherpa. They have a daughter named Kami.

Qiang's largest corporate sponsor is Khamdo Electronics, a huge company that makes everything from guided missiles to programmable rice cookers. He is also sponsored by TMW, Auntie Shang's Fish Cakes, the Guilin Tourism Board, Highland Tire, and Petrohan.

THE TEAM

Image

Glorious Free Republic Motorsports was originally founded three seasons ago as St. Kanye's official entry in the Electric Grand Prix (eGP). However, that series never took off, and so the team refocused their efforts into stock car racing. GFR debuted in the sixth season of the Nationstates Stock Car Racing Association (NSSCRA) with three full-time drivers, who are still with the team to this day, and have combined for over fifteen wins and consistent playoff performances. The current team president is Lucas "Luke" Brown, a former driver and champion in KURT (Kanyean Unified Racing Tournament), the country's top series, and the vice president is Eunice Radetsky.

THE CAR

Image

The team uses the Chadwick C-1000 model in NSSCRA. This car has been St. Kanye's top-selling full-size sedan model for fifteen years running. "Chads" also compete in KURT alongside the Sentoza Speedhawk and the Binkham Bushido, and have won five of the last seven championships. Aside from GFR, Direwolf Auto Team from neighboring New Northwesteros also utilizes the Chad, as does Esmerel's MTAC Motorsports, which has signed a technical alliance with the Kanyeans during the offseason. GFR's tires are provided by Tropicorp Racing Supply, and fuel by Argo Petrol.

THE DRIVERS

Image

#3 Skip Stiller

Twii.tur: @SkipStill3r
NSSCRA 6 Regular Season Champion
1-Time Tundra Falls 500 Winner
1-Time Pencurve Electronics 500 Winner
1-Time Vilaye Energy Drink 314 Winner

Crew Chief: Jackson Cohen
Spotter: Bart Easton

Stiller has been a veteran force at GFR since its inception, with a daring, aggressive style of driving has led him to visit victory lane multiple times. However, the 37-year-old has announced that the ninth NSSCRA season will be his fourth and last one as a full-timer. deciding instead to focus on his family and the racing school he founded back in St. Kanye. To fill the void, GFR will be moving R&D driver Sage Caldwell (see below) to the "Blue Trey" next season.

Image

#18 Jeremiah Brooke

Twii.tur: @Jeremiah_B
NSSCRA 6 Championship Four
NSSCRA 7 Regular Season Champion
NSSCRA 8 Regular Season Runner-Up
1-Time Vilaye Energy Drink 314 Winner

Crew Chief: Ben Warwick
Spotter: Raymond Goldfarb

Sometimes, nice guys finish first, and Brooke is definite proof of that. Always polite, approachable, hard-working, and a good sport, the 28-year-old looks not only to win races or championships, but also the hearts of fans and the friendship of his fellow racers. Often calm and collected, but could get really flustered when witnessing big crashes. He can't really be blamed though, as he was sidelined late in the seventh season because of one.

Image

#46 Thea Alvarez

Twii.tur: @Luna_Althea
NSSCRA 6 Championship Four
NSSCRA 7 Championship Four
NSSCRA 8 Championship Four

Crew Chief: Kaley Curtis
Spotter: Naomi Hoff

Alvarez is a shy, sensitive girl who enjoys fantasy books and movies, stuffed animals and shoes, and would rather dress cute than sexy. At 21, she is the youngest member of the team. But behind the innocent exterior lies a very tough challenger who has mastered the art of last-second wins ("Yeezie magic", as the media calls it) and has three straight Championship Four appearances to show for it.

Image

#19 Sage Caldwell

Twii.tur: @SageTheRacer

Crew Chief: James Fellows
Spotter: Ethan Petrov

Caldwell is currently the team's R&D driver. He will be moving up to a full-time ride in the #3 next season, where he will be given more opportunities to surprise the fans, like he did in last season's Five Star Mobile 500 in Cassadaigua. In that race, Caldwell finished sixth and outran all three of his full-time teammates. He is an easygoing fellow who loves racing, basketball, beer, girls, and his dreads.

THE SPONSORS

QED Car Rentals: Short for "Quick, Easy, Dependable", it is Skip Stiller's primary sponsor. For over thirty years, QED has been renting out RVs, limousines, trucks, helicopters, and of course cars, including the road version of the Chad C-1000.

Skip Stiller School of Racing: Founded by GFR's veteran driver himself, it aims to train the next generation of champion drivers in St. Kanye. Stiller has hand-picked local track stars to be his instructors; he himself will make appearances once he is done with being a full-timer in NSSCRA.

Hyde Medical Group: The biggest healthcare company and seventh biggest private company overall in St. Kanye, Hyde operates hospitals, manufactures medicines and medical equipment, does research, works with medical schools and charities, and gives primary sponsorship to Jeremiah Brooke.

Vylet: An internet service provider which operates in St. Kanye, New Northwesteros, and soon other countries as well. With their distinctively colored uniforms and vehicles, it's easy to see if someone is having their internet installed or fixed. Vylet is also parodied in the Kanyean sketch comedy R.O.F.L. as "Vylent", a company which sends hitmen after customers who fail to pay up.

Multiversal Automotive Coatings: A sponsor with a long history in KURT, it also appears primarily on Thea Alvarez's colorful car. Multiversal paint covers all GFR cars, as well as some from other teams. (OOC: if it's painted by me, it uses Multiversal paint.)

GGtech: Pencurve Electronics' brand of gaming accessories like mice, keyboards and controllers, as well as gadgets such as laptops. GGtech also manufactures the track simulators used by both GFR and Stiller's racing school.

Blood Moon Beer: Appears on Sage Caldwell's R&D entry. It is a strong, dark beer. Coolers filled with Blood Moon are always on hand whenever GFR travels, and the drivers and crew (save for Alvarez) often enjoy a cold one after every race.

Thrown Into The Burner at Jusenkyo...

For Kohan,it had been a very tough time after the Jusenkyo incident.
Many nations hated his home nation, and would would jump on the chance to nuke it forever.
Kohan though, was ready to fight back.
Partnered with NAME REDACTED,who many thought died in a 2011 racing crash in Las Vegas,Kohan would seize the chance to become.
Become.
At the track,he laid, looking at the Wreckrian team, and readied to qualifly.
Kohan had developed a Social Media rivalry with the previous season's champ.
(OOC:I am looking for perms for a crash rp with the S8 champ, should both him and Kohan DNF in the race.)
(FYI:The unknown im talking about is Dan Wheldon) (and yes,i am bringing a IRL driver into the multiverse.)
Kohan had plans. Big plans.
And Kohan? Kohan never changes.
For Kohan, being supplied by Bomvardier Racing is a dream, trust me.

NSSCRA Update
YOGYAKULTA, Filindostan - Badai Angin Tim Motorsport has announced that the NSSCRA operation will be reduced to a single full-time team, and a possible entry in Yoggy Oval if the track is selected as one of the races in this season. The decision has been consulted with Joko Ajartambun, majority owner of Badai Angin and owner of Petrofilindo Corporation.

Only the #0 team driven by last season's driver Hana Bhe will be retained for this season. Despite the struggle last season in which the team scored in 53rd place after losing their charter mid-season, all the sponsors, including Solymok will return to the team. The operation has ensured that all the races this season by Ms. Bhe, will be sponsored by Descension, Solymok, Puroll, and VeniLoans, with the former sponsoring 75 percent of the schedule. The only event that Badai Angin will be the primary sponsor will be at the event at Yoggy Oval.

Image

Mr. Ilham Lukas Jenie, and Mr. Franklin Egar will be transferred to the Hodoran GT400 series, where one entry with collaboration with Monghit Motorsport, as part of the deal which signed Rod Gozum to our open wheeler operation, will be made.

The Badai Angin Kecepatan and Solymok Megfogo STx will be available to any team that needs a stock car for the season. For additional details of any technical alliance, please contact Mr. Werner Ragos.

Vanda Rosa was nervous. Although the period between NSSCRA 8 and 9 had given her plenty of time to practice and prepare, it was still hard for her to get used tot he idea that she had gone from being a one-race wonder to having two companies sponsoring her to race, this time for the season. While it was true she'd have to qualify in to actually drive in each race, Vanda Rosa would be making the trip to each track all the same, and Die Sportler had seen to it that she had a simulator to help her when she didn't make the cut.

Overall, though, the experience had been positive so far. Her shaky Kermanic and even shakier English were being compensated for by a translator droid (and would be by human and Kerbal translators in countries the droid couldn't go). Her racing team had been picked from among the best mentors, pit crew, crew chiefs, and other racing staff Jebslund had to offer, with most of them speaking Brazilistani fluently. She'd been given plenty of encouragement from her family and the staff of Die Sportler, and the other Jebslunden drivers had proven as friendly as any domestic league Kerbal drivers she'd raced against and had no problems giving her pointers and other advice.

Lexi, in the meantime, had gotten used to being in the big leagues, with her time between NSSCRA seasons spent racing in the domestic leagues to keep her skills sharp, her modeling in Sie Nah advertisements taking a back seat to her keeping herself in good shape, physically and skillwise, for NSSCRA. She'd finished 16th overall last season, which had put her last place in the Chase. That wasn't going to be her this season. Lexi would accept no less from herself than a top four finish, though her sights were set on the top spot. Gone were the notebooks from last year (though she'd lent some, mostly those concerning returning tracks and drivers, to Vanda Rosa for the season), as experience had made most of them obsolete, and even her laptop had considerably less space taken up by learning materials for NSSCRA (though there was some for her online college courses and study materials for an application for Kermanic citizenship). While it wasn't officially part of her name, Eva, as well as most of Lexi's pit crew, had taken to calling her Schülerin (Student) as an unofficial nickname, considering she was always studying something (she played it off as necessities for her continued sponsorship deal with Sie Nah, but, in truth, Lexi had started to like learning and studying, so she'd spent some of her pay from last season on college courses in subjects she'd always wanted to study.). Still, it felt great to be back in Newmanistan for the start of a new season, and Lexi couldn't wait to see how far she'd come between seasons.

The first race of the season saw Eva hitting the simulator most of the time she wasn't on the track practicing or meeting with her pit crew or her superiors. She'd made the Chase last season, and even advanced through one round, but, in the end, she failed to even make the final, let alone get the top spot, and that was not a pattern she or her sponsors wanted to see continue. That meant she needed to find and remove every flaw in her technique. It would be a long, grueling season, but the taste of victory at the end, if she could get back into the habit of winning, would make it all well worth it. That said, Eva made sure to make time for Lexi and Vanda Rosa Cordeiro Kerman as any good teammate would. Rivals on the track though they may have been, it would have been bad form for her to refuse to help them, and even a rookie could have valuable insight into aspects of Eva's racing she might have missed, to speak nothing of the companionship of the occasional breaks from work to just go have lunch or beer and snacks.

The Valentians – The Second Time. The Overused Electric Boogaloo

Image

The second foray of the Valentians into the world of NSSCRA, this time, the two familiar faces would be coming by once again, while the two others would be new into the race. Without further introduction, here they are!

Image

ImageImage
The familiar face for the Valentians and the other people around her alike, Exuberant Superintendent T-1000/2904 Surveillant Clarissa Alanis Star Breya « La Amoureux Chéri » Millie Taissa Butterfly Mélody Coraline Jolijn Trini Clementine Hollie Samantha Zeta Harumi is once again ready to sport her Lhotse Love sponsored car, and to use her calculative and yet adorable mind into work. The Sherpa Empire, specifically Lhotse Love, has approved of Clarissa and the Valentians to use their logo as part of the deal, and Clarissa would be all the more happy with that idea! There were also talks between Valentijn and the people behind the Lhotse Love franchise on starting up their businesses in Valentine Z. After all, the Valentians could not get enough of the food. The agreement would be for Valentijn to start opening in regions of old Burma, old Singapore, old United Kingdom, and old USA for the time being, and then expanding out to other countries along the way if there is more and more demand and popularity. Clarissa is once again happy and glad to be in the team. Clarissa would be seen to have more of a synergy with Jolyn, and she would lament a little about the absence of Jolyn, since the latter was gone for a race in WGP2. Still, she knows to respect other people’s choices, and wished Jolyn well and a safe journey with her races, along with Adriana alongside. More about her can be found by clicking her name.

The newcomer to the world of racing, and perhaps to technology, Valentina “De Sierlijke en Vrij High Valkyrie ov Valentine Z” Anastasia Freya Ada. Jolin Annelijn Caitlin Trijntje Crystal Clarice Constance Judy Voi. Nexitros Annile. Teresa Thida Myat Yadana Aye is the genderbent version of the leader of Valentine Z – Valentijn. Her backstory is that she came from another universe where it was parallel to Valentine Z in every way, but there was magic involved. However, one day, an invasion came along, they were overpowered, and Valentina was forced to leave to save herself, much to her dismay and leaving her friends and families behind. Imbued with a tremendous amount of magic inside her, she would find herself in rather difficult situations – both emotionally and especially physically. For the purpose of NSSCRA 9, she has made herself a concoction and a spell that would shrink her to 9.5 feet tall for the duration of 24 hours. After that 24 hours is up, she would need to find herself a good place to be alone, so as to prevent anyone from being affected or demolished by her sudden increase in size again. This might prove to be rather counterintuitive and destructive to the rest of the Valentians and to the other fellow racers, but the Valentians have assured everyone that they have taken every single step to make sure that Valentina has at least 30 minutes of window time before she went back to her original size of 55 to 60 meters. Contrary to what others might think, Valentina is not sexually confused and she confirms that she is indeed a woman. “Genderbent”, is perhaps a word too complicated for other leaders that have talked to her. She might not show her face, but she is more than welcome and happy to have pictures taken of her, and perhaps to show off her original height as a giantess to the natives of the lands. More about Valentina can be found by clicking her name.

“Cheers, Loves!” she shouts out her catchphrase. Chief Aviator Gwen Tracer Hepburn “Fate of Existence and the Omniverse” Ellen Trixie Caitlin Foxworthy Avril Verlene Eveline Celinda Sammy Doris Wt. Oxton Arielle Lindall Leslie Vitesse Allison is the last but not the very least of the three in the regular roster. Her bright car, along with her social network presence (with partial thanks to Jenny), might be the reason why she is slightly more well-known compared to Clarissa and Jolyn. Of course, three of them are well-known, but it was just that Gwen simply stood out more, owing to her height and her cheery and rather loud-in-a-positive-way attitude. She was still a bit bummed out from the previous season, what with her finishing 2nd as her best result, and not winning a single race. She took the podium finishes heartfully, but still… it would be nice for her if one day she finished first on her NSSCRA 9 career. Gwen is back, and she is more than determined to make sure that she would bring back to Valentine Z a gold medal with her name on it. Her time and role as a Fate of the Omniverse would have been certainly be very useful around here and she could win every single race, but… where is the fun in that? After all, she told herself not to abuse these powers, or she would be no better than the others that have caused instabilities, or worse. It’s all about the fair game, and Gwen is certainly more than happy to abide by that and told herself not to use her time-powers (except in emergency cases where she seriously needs to use a toilet). More about her can be found by clicking her name.

With Marcus resting off and supporting the team in another way (such as being part of the pit crew; after all, he’s got his armour going for him), another person would join the team as a part-timer. Also dubbed the Lady Luck, a Badass Sniper, along with many other roles and names that having one could simply not have enough, Head Secretary Jamie Izabella Maxie Clara “The Elegant and Magnificent Mathematician” Pernella Ellie Natie Lexie Marie Valerie Ruby Æstriðr Fni. Clementine Millicent Cassandra Alex C. Eirian felt that she could race for a few matches, though not for the entirety of the race. After all, she still has other commitments to taken care of. As aforementioned, she can get very lucky and is also a sniper, but of course, she was not going to use the latter skills for any gains; she is simply going to be in NSSCRA 9 for a race, not for a shootout and to turn the place into a horrible mess. After the recent events, she would also show a bit of disdain for any kind of conflict, citing as “It was probably one of the more terrible and shameful things I have ever seen. We are supposed to be racing and having a good time with one another and yet, there were nations that were absurd enough to cause panic and a state of war over something else that is NOT even theirs.” You can probably guess what she’s referencing. She left her beloved AS-50 (tailored specially for her) behind safe and sound with the security of the other Valentians, while leaving her secretary work to Germaine if she was going for a race now and then this season. She can be rather shy, but she will make her position and her opinions well known with no less than 300 words. She was simply quite a talker! Also has an excellent and authentic Transatlantic accent that attracted more and more people towards her. More about her can be found from clicking on her name.

The Season in Preview
By Lee Iyokoka

KRD Team Iona is back for their third season of racing in the NSSCRA. The cars will once again be sleek looking Knox Hawkeyes and they will be running a combo of colorful cars with four drivers and some of the sleekest machinery in the multiverse. The driver line up will be back with Roman Gwinnett and Gordon Orton, alongside popular East Rowe native Eddie Walters Jr, who will be leading the charge. Walters once again brings his friends over from Ben Foster's Farm Fresh Diners to help both fund the team and to give out free frozen meals to any team who requests it (One per crew member). Speaking of sponsors, Best Stores, the premium retail outlet from Vanosdale, did not renew their contract. In steps in long time sports supporter XANAir. While Xanneria does not officially have a national airline, many locals treat XANAir as such.

Another big change is the tires. Out are Presto in are Rollie. Rollie is an Appalachian manufacturer of Rubber Products, and should provide a stable ride compared to the Presto tires of last season. Hopefully Rollie tires can stay more stable than Presto and hopefully the team can figure them out better than Valentine Z did with their Tropicorp tires. Meanwhile in the fuel and oil department, XP got the nod again this year. There was talk about the team switching to Helvetic Oil, but from what we understand the Knox and Helvetic Oil talks had to actually deal with Mercado and their four cars this year, all of whome will have Helvetic as their fuel and Lubrican provider. Speaking of which The Appalachian based Mercados are back. After much concern after the EsportivAir Flight 24 accident near Laguada, that team has been sold to sponsor Jim Lowe who will run Jeff Shreeves and Troy Butterson Jr the son of a prominent Appalachian sports writer.

Now you may be wondering where's Tucker Capps? Knox sent Capps over to help develop the Mercado, but Capps struggles. Well Capps is now running for KRD again, but in XCAR the Xannerian domestic stock car series. Though it is likely he is going to race a #61 in four events this year. With the two Xannerian events he will race as a Open Charter car and the two Appalachian events under non-charters auspices.

Here is a gallery of the three main rides at KRD

NSSCRA Pick 'em - Fantasy Sports Competition

Vilita & Turori Racer is preparing for the kick off of the Ninth NSSCRA Season with the return of its NSSCRA Pick 'em Fantasy Sports Competition.

Fans looking to participate in VTRacer's NSSCRA Pick 'em Competition will have to finalize their team selections prior to the season opening Tundra Falls 500 (The Tundra Falls Exhibition will not be part of the VTRacer NSSCRA Pick 'em Competition).

Each Pick 'em Team will consist of 5 drivers; 1 each from five different Tiers of drivers with the defending championship Four drivers; Kai Qiang, River 'Shark' Suzgar II, Yraaga Gilli'i and Thea Alvarez joining NSSCRA Season 7 Champion Stacie Houston and Regular Season Champion Jeremiah Brooke as Tier 1 Drivers. Entries will earn points based on the performance of each of their five selected drivers during each event. Throughout the season a user can make change to trade one driver within a tier for any other driver in the same tier at a cost of 2 fantasy championship points per transaction.

VT Racer will re-seed drivers at two points during the regular season based on their performance in the NSSCRA standings while adding any drivers who were not assigned an initial tier. If an entry includes a driver who is promoted to a higher tier during a re-assessment, that driver will be grandfathered in their original slot and continue to count as against that entries original tier until such a point they are dropped from the team and subsequently re-added at a later date.

The Pick 'em Competition will culminate with the Pencurve Electronics 500 at the Jalton Superspeedway after which Fantasy prizes will be awarded and the VTRacer NSSCRA Chase Pick 'em competition would begin.

The NSSCRA Season 9 Schedule was released and expands by seven events to 37 races with a 27 race regular season, up from 20 one season prior. The increase continues the trend that has followed since NSSCRA Season 6 where the subsequent regular season schedule is of similar length to the prior seasons entire race calendar. It is believed that the calendar is 'about as full as it gets' and if any event should need to be pulled from the schedule for any reason it is unlikely to be replaced. Many traditional events retain their spot on the schedule including the majority of the NSSCRA Chase events, including the penultimate round at the Imperial Speedway in Vangaziland. The biggest changes come in the expanded Regular Season with a number of new venues and nations added to the schedule although it will still start in Newmanistan and conclude in Saint Kanye. The NSSCRA Chase has a very familiar look from round to round with only minor venue changes in a few nations to note.

41 Drivers will be guaranteed a spot in each event with a further four slots available to non-chartered drivers and the final spot on the grid to an open charter driver. It has not been announced whether Newmanistan driver Ashley Matthews will be participating in the season opening event at Tundra Falls or whether the Open Charter spot for the kickoff event was still up for grabs. As for Vilita & Turori Motorsports open charter, due to a horrid run of results during NSSCRA Season 8, Lotara Novorali was unable to secure sponsorship outside of her personal financing from the Arcticala Electrical company who will continue to fund Novorali's participation in events within Atlantian Oceania. As a result, it is likely that Novorali and the #49 team would not hit the track until Round 5 at the RTC 400 in Banija. While Novorali will not be in Tundra Falls, Vilaye Roast backed driver Jama'obo Pegasii, currently in talks about joining the World Grand Prix 2 circuit, will be at the track to promote the Vilaye Roast product along with River 'Shark' Suzgar II. It would not be a surprise, however, to see Pegasii discussing with any team with an open seat about the possibility of giving their car a spin, or even taking a chance at qualifying in one of the Vilita and Turori Motorsports backup cars should the Open Charter spot be made available for the taking in competition either through time trial or qualifying race.

The Team Blue Center, The Proving Grounds, Tundra Falls, Newmanistan
The first part of race weekend
Chris Holmes had a huge smile on his face. He had just walked into the Team Blue Center for the first time in the new NSSCRA season. The facility was Team Blue’s nerve center for a race season, the mobile office for the team when it travels all across the multiverse for the NSSCRA’s 37 race season. In the front, a lounge area where drivers, crew members, administrators and invited guests could come in and enjoy the day, watch some Hapiloppian television and snack on something tasty. Off to the left, the kitchen and catering area, where several hired chefs were responsible for feeding Team Blue with some of the finest meals they could make. In the back, office space for team principal Amanda McAlister, driver consultant Chet Byrd, and manufacturer representative Marty Lewis, as well as conference rooms just in case they were needed.

For Chris, it felt like he had come home. The offseason had been interesting for him. He had broken his arm in a devastating accident in the season finale at this very speedway, and he spent several weeks in a cast waiting for his arm to heal. At the same time, he and team principal Amanda McAlister, who had been in a romantic relationship, decided it was in their best interest to go their separate ways. They remained friends, but they realized it was a pretty serious breach of contract for Chris to be dating the boss. Not long later, Chris ran into Claire Randall, a member of the Hapilopper National Football Team, at a restaurant, and before long, the two had fallen for each other. It had been a turbulent offseason, but Chris was ready to return to normalcy.

When he came in, he was greeted by the shouts of “HOLMES!” from Frank Bronson, Chet Byrd, Lawrence Malloy and “Sharp-Eyes” Glover, all of whom were sitting at a table, enjoying some lunch. It was obvious they were excited about the coming season as well and had, to say the very least, high hopes for the upcoming season.

“How’s the arm?” Chet asked.

“Fine,” Chris replied. “Never better, amigo. Hurt like hell for a bit, but I can use it now.”

There had been some changes with Team Blue for the coming season. Chet, 56 years old, decided last season that he had enough, and retired. Drake Stevenson, meanwhile, took a seat with Nexus Racing in World Grand Prix 2, and the indications were, as of the time of the Exhibition at the Proving Grounds, that Drake was no longer employed by Team Blue in any capacity. Drake, who had been the driver consultant for the team last season, had been replaced with Chet, who was more than happy to take the role.

Taylor Henderson, who had made her HASCAR debut the year before, and impressed with two wins in her rookie season, was picked up by Team Blue to fill Chet’s seat for the upcoming season. Taylor was out and about at this point, checking out the impressive Proving Grounds speedway, which reminded her of the Raceway in Buckridge, the old three-mile superspeedway that held the September classic, the Buckridge 500.

As she walked around the garage area, she walked amongst fans who, for the most part, did not know who she was. In Hapilopper, she was a low-level celebrity, having gained a following for what had been a fantastic first season as a driver in the HASCAR Challenge Cup. Had she been in the garage at a track in Hapilopper, she would probably be mobbed by fans wanting her autograph. As it were, there was a couple of Hapiloppians that had made the trip to Newmanistan and noticed her instantly. She was more than willing to oblige those fans, who had brought diecast cars and a copy of the race weekend’s program with them. As she walked through the garage, she was also wondering if any of these drivers out there would help her out with drafting during the exhibition race and the Tundra Falls 500. She wasn’t going to do something silly like what Chris Holmes and Frank Bronson had done last year, when they slapped hundreds of pictures of them all over the garage, seeking out a drafting partner, but she figured she might try to find a driver or two to speak to.

The fact was, Taylor was a rookie in the NSSCRA. The other drivers didn’t know how she would react in traffic, nor did they know if she could behave herself in the midst of a massive draft pack. Sure, Chris and Frank would gladly work with her, but the other teams and drivers? Doubtful. She figured she would at least try to talk to other drivers to see if they could help her out a bit in the next two weeks, but she figured that she needed to prove herself on-track first. A safe, yet fast, run in the season-opening exhibition race would help her case out.

Chris and Frank, however, didn’t have that worry. They had run superspeedway races with a lot of these guys before. They knew who to draft with and who not to draft with. So instead of canvassing the garage area, they were enjoying some lunch and watching some Hapiloppian pro wrestling. Team Blue loved watching the weekly wrestling shows the Friday night before the race, and it was considered great entertainment that the whole team could get behind.

Sometimes, the team would take it a little too far watching pro wrestling, like the time Chet Byrd threw a TV tray through a television a few years back, but it was great Friday night entertainment for the team. Everyone was loose and in a great mood. The team had very high hopes for the coming season, that they could bring a championship back home to the Dominion.

Sports, Sports, Sports: Maybe This Time?

POCONO CITY, NEWMANISTAN, ESPORTIVA- After several months of excitement, the NSSCRA, or NationStates Stock Car Racing Association for the unaware, has finally launched into its next season.

The NSSCRA is the premier stock car racing series in the Verse, filled with energy, excitement, and entertainment. Whereas the WGPC and its feeder series showcase technical driving on technical tracks with the absolute highest caliber of open-wheel vehicles, the NSSCRA keeps things simple, with big hunks of metal and a focus on rewarding endurance-based consistency rather than hotlapping. Out there on the track, it's one third about the driver, one third about the car, and one third about the likelihood the field of 45 cars around you makes one small mistake and piles up into an almighty big one. It's a rough world out there, but it's a world the drivers, fans and sports commentators much enjoy.

The Post team is here in Newmanistan's capital of Pocono City, waiting at the moment for our group tour bus to take us to the Tundra Falls Proving Grounds, which will kick off the ninth season of the NSSCRA with what some have dubbed "the Week of Speed," starting with general running around the circuit, before leading into an exhibition shootout in the middle of the week, and the Tundra Falls 500 itself at the end, seeing the field full of cars from countless nations roar down the high speed superspeedway for the season's first shot at fame.

Out of all the nations participating in the season, ranging from giants like Saint Kanye and Vilita and Turori, to humble newcomers like Banija and Ceroat, and even a nation attempting to enter after the registration cutoffs, there's one who's stuck somewhere no one's really sure about. Meet Esmerel- and its team, rebranded MTAC Motorsports.

We're in- but who's in for us?

Image

In season 8 of the NSSCRA, Esmerel tried its hand at stock cars with Phoenician Racing- a small garage outfit running zombie Pontiac Grand Prix models from the early 2000s and decent talent behind the wheel and in the shop but no money to show for it. A bump of funds from multibillion NationStates Dollar tech empire Atlas was what the team were hoping would give them a real chance out on the track- but it wasn't meant to be. After small promise with two early season top ten finishes, the team went into radio silence and fell off the map, running almost exclusively in the back and pretty much only due to their charters. It wasn't a humiliation equivalent to the embarrassment of Obey Sport that Esmerel had suffered earlier that same year, but it wasn't making them known anywhere, especially equivalent to the other rookies of Valentine Z and Hapilopper that were taking names almost every race.

It wasn't bad by any means in the end- but it wasn't enough. Something else had to happen if anything.

Luckily, something did. During the offseason, someone was nice enough to approach Atlas-Phoenician and give them their second chance. So who was it? A rich investor? A racing professional? A car company looking to get out on the track and which had the backbone to support the thing?

Oh. it was GFR Motorsports of Saint Kanye. You know, that Saint Kanye.

The deal was finished in a heartbeat. With a name rebrand to MTAC Motorsports and an equipment upgrade to the latest of the Chadwick brand of vehicles, the C-1000, the team might actually have a fighting chance to make an impression at the top.

What about behind the wheel?

The team made their picks for the ones behind the wheel this season a while back. Let's go ahead and take a look at what we've got.

Image

Elio Aaron (R)- #38 Eon Energy Drink Chadwick

Gender: Male
Date of Birth: 15/07/1982
Hit: Racing- win or lose, he just likes to do it.
Miss: Playing dirty- don't give him a hard time on the track, or he'll give you one back.
Previous Racing Experience: 10+ years of local stock racing, 1 NSSCRA race (S8, Atlas 799K), WGP3 Atlantic Division season 2

-----

BIO: Aaron's always just been a racer at heart. He doesn't care where he ends up when the checkered flag drops. As long as the hours getting to it were fun, he's satisfied.

With Esmerel always being an introverted country until 2017, Aaron never had a real chance to go multiversal. He always spent his time at the local short tracks, ringing his way around and around and bringing home the checks at the end. Over that time, he developed a passionate hatred for beating and banging. At the short tracks, with rules rarely being enforced on the local level, it was always wrecking your opponent before they wrecked you. Elio held to himself a code not to wreck others to win- but, of course, few others did. Yet his passive driving style still led him to the occasional win simply because his car was always the one in the best condition after so many laps. And, it led him to fans. In his later short track years Elio made a push to get a nationally sanctioned series. The government, unfortunately, while they appreciated the enthusiasm, were more focused on their tech development and attempts to remain quiet in the community, and the push never went anywhere. It was almost always "We have touring cars, go race those if you want attention."

That is, until touring car master Jean Mercer-Daly shattered the boundaries and announced his intention to compete in the WGPC's fifteenth season for team Kjeligsted, later Red Lion Racing. And when he scored third place on his debut in rainy Mattijana, the floodgates opened.

Eventually, Elio settled in as an advisor to Atlas-Phoenician Racing during their meh attempt at racing in the previous season, and even raced the #85 Atlas Pontiac for one race at AMP in the first round of the Chase. During the NSSCRA offseason, Elio was offered a chance to drive an open-wheel WGP3 car for Cygnus Atlantic in the Atlantic Division. His love for racing won him over, and he accepted. By season's end, he'd done well, scoring tenth of twenty drivers with 48 points. It wasn't all, though- he'd aided teammate Rachael Lyndroem in securing the teams' championship by a two point margin over Redwood Racing.

With the ninth NSSCRA season about to begin, Aaron clamored for a proper race seat, and now drives the #38 Chadwick, sponsored by Eon Energy Drink. He'll be eligible for the Rookie of the Year award, as well, seeing as he entered fewer than seven races in the previous season, and intends to run this season in full, using MTAC's current single charter.

The moral of it all is this: never underestimate a driver with a passion for racing, no matter their age. Aaron's still a man with countless potential, and he's just waiting to use it.

Image

David Rockingham- #20 Brynhildr Supermarkets Chadwick

Gender: Male
Date of Birth: 18/01/1986
Hit: The professionalism of the NSSCRA.
Miss: When people don't take things serious enough.
Previous Racing Experience: Various tests for various vehicles, 1 full season of NSSCRA (S8)

-----

BIO: You could call Rockingham the team leader of MTAC. People look to him for guidance, for tips, and for management- and he's not afraid to do it all.

David Rockingham was always a man in the background. He just tested the fast things that other people made for a living. It paid. It was interesting. It challenged him. And he was alright with his social standing. But there was always something in him that wanted more.

He got his chance when the NSSCRA happened, as did many others. The flagship driver for APR's season 8 campaign from the very start, Rockingham was always the one people were talking about to lead the charge and do the best of the team. At least, before it all went south and basically nothing happened for the rest of the season.

Luckily, it didn't get anyone down. With Rockingham's longtime favorite supermarket chain, Brynhildr, coming to sponsor him this season, he's ready for another go, and, hopefully, something to talk about.

Image

Ben Carpenter- #45 Axis Hyper Clean Chadwick

Gender: Male
Date of Birth: 30/11/1996
Hit: Impressing his benefactors and fans.
Miss: Getting scolded for something out of his control.
Previous Racing Experience: 3 years of local stock racing, spokesmanship for Atlas, 1 full season of NSSCRA (S8)

---

BIO: Carpenter's always been a money man.

After spending a couple of years driving in the same local races as Elio Aaron, Carpenter, heir to a rather rich lineage, was taken up as a spokesperson for Atlas's tech lineup, featuring in their commercials. It was always this: wherever he went, funds followed.

Many fans were turned away from him due to his quite obvious pay driver status when Phoenician signed him, and then Joseph Rawlings' charter was moved as part of the Atlas merger- part of his arc, he called it, was proving his detractors wrong. As we all know, though, he never really got his chance- the team was quiet all season. However, never getting down, his money stayed, allowing APR to stay afloat for their next chance and possibly being the best reason they're still here today, name change or no.

This year, as part of the deal between MTAC and GFR, Carpenter's running a Yeezie (an alternate Kanyean demonym) sponsorship- that being Axis Hyper Clean, the same product Lisanderian driver Mor Holstein displayed on his car in his occasional appearance. While only four opportunities exist in each race for nonchartered drivers to enter, Carpenter and teammate Rockingham hope greatly to do the best they can in their racing.

How about racing on Esmerelian ground? Got any of that?

As a matter of fact, we do. Two circuits were submitted to the bigwigs at the NSSCRA, and while only one was chosen, it was known that that was a possibility from the very beginning. The circuit we'll be running on is the legendary Raleigh Raceway, located just fifteen kilometers from Lapiz Point and a quick ~1mi speedway with opportunities everywhere to either dominate or end the race early.

With the schedule announcing the race at Raleigh would be held just a week after the Tundra Falls 500, sponsorship was quickly finalized. It can now be officially stated that the race held at the circuit in a couple of weeks' time will be the Absomax 400.

Image

Absomax is a "materials business," dealing in assembly, crafting, and delivery of high-quality metal and technology for various needs. We just had to write that as part of the announcement here. If you want to know more, go Google it or something. Don't actually do that. It's fictional, of course.

Anything else to say?

Well, that this season is sure to be big for Esmerel, like it or no. With the country sitting out on the WGP2, the WGP3 being offseason, and the WGPC not yet starting either, all eyes will be focusing on the action that will take place in the coming months.

It looks like our transport is here, so we'll have to hold off on further journalism for now. We'll be back soon enough with track action from the exhibition race and more during the Week of Speed.

Stay cool, readers.

You can check out the NSSCRA online at their various websites, and tune in to MNN, EBN, or BOX for flag to flag coverage of the season's races. Bookmark lapizpointpost.co.em for more news like this, or follow us on Twitter at @lpptweets.

Scene: Stafford City Speedway
Conversation between Track CEO and Shellshock Batteries CEO

Shellshock CEO: I want to know what the hell is going on. This is some punishment for our sponsoring the track in Marquette other then here.

Track CEO: Look, I know why you are upset, but given the current rules concerning charters, our race team is only given one guaranteed spots. We just missed the cutoff for getting Kevin Cosgrove in. I feel bad about that, really.

Shellshock CEO: I understand the rule, but there was no communication to us at all that Alex Knight was going to get that spot over Kevin.

Track CEO: Alex made the chase two seasons ago, Kevin did not.

Shellshock CEO: Two seasons ago. Long time ago.

Track CEO: Which is still more then Kevin did. Look, I know you know I am upset with your decision to sponsor the race in Marquette other then here, and I know you know that I cannot always be a trustworthy person, but the decision to go with Alex Knight is due to him having more success then Kevin Cosgrove. You can put a logo on the 6 car, I’m sure.

Shellshock CEO: I know that we can too, but that’s not the point. Why can’t we rotate who gets our automatic spot, one race Alex and the next race Kevin. That is the most fair way to do it. We have a lot of money invested in our sponsorship and I respect that Charged Up (Transmissions) does too, we can split the races.

Track CEO: That would be a really great way to ensure that we would never get a driver to finish high in the point standings if we had to split their starts. Kevin is a good driver and able to get one of those spots people qualify into. I should be hearing Starlight Suites bitch at me more then you guys. I thought you guys would understand this more.

Shellshock CEO: Starlight Suites is used to it with James McCurty. We have been a part of every race field for the last two years. How many other drivers out there that now are subject to qualifying in can say that. A couple, but not many.

Track CEO: The fields get stronger and stronger. All of our support has to be behind one driver who we know will be in the race, and that driver right now is Alex Knight. Kevin can qualify in.

Shellshock CEO: Kevin Cosgrove is a better driver, and you know it.

Track CEO: Oh, stop. If he is, then he can qualify in.

Shellshock CEO: So be it, but I hate it.

NSSCRA-Bolgano Stock Car Raceway Information
The team was founded just for NSSCRA 9, to select the pilots, 20 young people were selected, 17 male and 3 female, because in Bolgano there are no runners of older ages, bringing the new generation for this edition, the races were organized in The Marele Tropical Raceway as proof for your professional career, will be number 25, then information of the runners.

#09 Daniel Crettom
Age: 19
Weight: 69kg
Height: 1.82
City of birth: Fedek

Daniel was the winner of the series in Marele Tropical, a basketball player in high school but the opportunity to drive race cars came, he decided to enroll in the preliminaries where his training, speed and performance on the track led him to participate in the series, from the first race he was the favorite runner winning 4 of the 5, his career style is calm and strategic, sometimes he puts on an aggressive problem that I already control, he knows that winning NSSCRA is impossible being a rookie but he will do what he can.

#35 Melissa Nilis
Age: 18
Weight: 60
Height: 1.65
City of birth: Valls Nilem, Rytuk

In both the preliminaries and the finals, Melissa was the “Queen of the Track” at that time, won the only race that Daniel did not win, from Valls Nilem, a city in Rytuk State, his father is the mayor of that city where She lived a quiet childhood with money, thanks to that she is very believed and spoiled, making her aggressive while running, for many the reason that she did not win the series was because of that problem, something that must change if she wants to go far in NSSCRA.

#26 Roger Bipacks
Age: 20
Weight: 78
Height: 1.89
City of birth: Freikis, Dartsak

Coming from a small town in Dartsak, and a small soccer player, Roger lived in the small town of Freikis in Dartsak State, which affected him since he is not used to being with many people, at the beginning of the preliminaries he was not one of the best in the basics and many believe that I only classify the series of a miracle, before that he was not taken into account by many, which in the first race he went badly staying with position 11, something changed in the nerves were, I'm not sure, in the second race I managed to reach the second position being above Melissa and only behind Daniel, in the third I also remain second, only that Melissa won Daniel and took the third place, Another 2 races were in third place, enough to qualify, always strategic and afraid to make a crash, his nerves can grow before a lot of public (As happens in NSSCRA) but he received a tip, just see the track and nothing else.

Tundra Falls Proving Grounds, Tundra Falls, Newmanistan
Day of qualifying for the Exhibition at the Proving Grounds

Skip Stiller awoke at 4 AM. Unable to sleep, he made himself a coffee and a sandwich and called back home while he ate. He talked to his wife (who was pregnant with twins) and then to the employees of his new racing school. Stiller then showered and got dressed and took a taxi from the hotel to the Proving Grounds, where he would hit the simulators at the GFR garage area.

Jeremiah Brooke woke up at 5 and decided to watch TV. A replay of the World Cup final was on the air. Eventually he grew tired of it and got himself prepared for the day. He would eat at the hotel's breakfast buffet, hoping to maybe meet other drivers. Having done so much time at the simulators since the team arrived in Newmanistan at the start of the week, he decided he'll only have a quick go at it later.

Thea Alvarez got up at 6 and started deciding on a cute outfit for the day. (She would only change into her firesuit later anyway.) After picking, she went to her teammates' rooms, only to find them both gone. So she just stayed in her room, got her phone and browsed, but not before posting on Spacebook:

Thea Alvarez just now

Good morning, fellow racers! Who's up? :)

She was already friends with Lexi, the Dagans, Valentians, and her own teammates, but she's still waiting on a friend request to the newest girl driver in the league, Hapiloppian Taylor Henderson.

Stiller arrived at the garage area at 6, where some team areas are already open and filled with chattering crew members. He gave a thumbs up to his own tire changers and sat down at the GGtech branded simulator. The day earlier Brooke had changed the #3's paintjob in the simulator to what Kohan the Newarker used last season as a prank, to Stiller's annoyance. Stiller went through different scenarios in the simulator, like starting on pole, from the rear, restarting after a caution, green-white-checkered finish and more.

By 8 more drivers and crew were arriving at the Proving Grounds. Brooke had gone around and greeted some of them. "Morning, Stacie." "Rinzi, my man!" "Tyler Linde, the new kid. Good luck out there." "Sup, Frank?" "Hey, if it isn't the Shark." "Elio, right? Congrats on the alliance between our teams." "Skip! You're up early!"

SS: Hey. You gonna put my car back the way it was or what?
JB: Come again?
SS: My car. On the simulator. I wanna stop racing as Kohan and start racing as me.
JB: Yeah, about that ....
SS: Yeah?
JB: We talked about this, right? If you do better than me in the Exhibition, I'm changing them back. And if I do better .....
SS: (surprised) Hehehey, hold up. What's he doing here?
JB: Who?
SS: Speak of the .... Kohan. Look.
JB: Yeah, I thought he missed the registration deadline?
SS: Must've made an exception for him.
JB: You know what, let's not let him bother us and just focus on having a good qual and a good race. Yo, Clarissa, how you doing!
SS: Right. Where's Thea, anyway?

Alvarez had been wandering the surroundings of the Proving Grounds for about an hour, taking pictures and talking to herself and the so called spirits of the area just to calm her nerves before qualifying. When she was done, she walked back to the garage area, passing Kohan's parked hauler, but thought nothing of it. Her teammates finally caught up with her and they continued on walking and talking as they looked forward to another season of stock cars.

#99- Jelan Ozoemena

Image
Sentoza Speedhawk, art designed by St. Kanye

Crew Chief: Boro Secka
Spotter: Isaka Jassey

Jelan Ozoemena was born just over 27 years ago, in Aissa, Hangaza. Hangaza has always had a small motor sports scene, consisting of the largest, and what many would reasonably say the only, motor sports scene in the country. The region is located in Eastern and Northern Banija, in what many would consider part of the northeastern quadrant of the country, sharing Banija's external borders with both Timuria to the North and Geisenfred to the East. Aissa itself is located right along the eastern border of Banija, right on the Kuanen river that separates the two countries.

The history of motor sports in Banija, or specifically, in Eastern Hangaza, is long. There has long been a circuit at the Ruwani Motor Speedway, consisting of races entirely at the same track. But Ozoemena did not always have a sporting career destined for the paved racetrack. Growing up, he proved to be an adept gridiron player. He has the size for it- he is 6'7, and weighed almost 300 pounds in his heyday. When he was in high school, he dominated competition in the gridiron hotbed of eastern Hangaza, and did not pay much attention to motorsports- even though his father was a very big motor sports fan, regularly tuning into domestic races across Atlantian Oceania, like HASCAR and domestic competition from the Vilitan Cove.

But fortune only favors the fortunate, right? Gridiron is a violent sport, and any play can be a career changer. His senior season of high school, he was trying to help his own high school win their first state championship in quite a number of years. But then, when engaged with an offensive tackle, an offensive guard came in and took him out at the knees. An extremely dangerous hit. But while the flag was thrown, it was Ozoemena who paid the price. It was ultimately an ACL tear on his left knee in his senior year of high school, and that drastically changed his outlook and outcomes going forward. Before, he had been pledged a scholarship offer to play at one of Banija's 'Big 2' schools, at Northern Moravica University. But with the gruesome knee injury, and this being the unholy sports that are intercollegiate athletics, a scholarship offer was withdrawn. Almost all the major BCSG schools withdrew scholarship offers, and he decided to enroll locally, at Hangaza Tech University right in his own city.

While he spent his freshman year rehabbing, he came back his sophomore year and was, once again, a football star. The star athlete hadn't lost a step- and playing in one of the weakest BCSG conferences, he was able to be dominant. He helped Hangaza Tech earn their first playoff berth in 11 years his sophomore year, and led them back to the playoffs his junior year. But his senior year, he wanted to compete for national championships. That type of thing would never be able to happen at Hangaza Tech. So he transferred to Kizza I College, located in the Banijan capitol, They were competitive, and he was trying to improve his own GFLB draft stock. But then, tragedy struck again. This time, on a different sort of play. He had been brought in on a special offensive package. He was lead blocking on a goal line play. And this time, it would be a defensive tackle that would go straight through his left knee.

It was a brutal ACL tear, the second time on the same leg. Ozoemena had tears flowing on the field. A second ACL tear, to the same knee, before he could even go professional? The doctors said that a full recovery could be made, but he was torn down by this. The bad luck, the anger, it caused him to quit gridiron entirely. And Ozoemena's life really spiraled for the next year. He started drinking- hard. But it would be a DUI at age 22 that would cause him to turn his own life around. Moving back into his father's home, his Dad told him that he needed a new purpose. He needed a sport. And his Dad, forever having a biased opinion, told his son to get into his own favorite sport- motor sports.

Now, of course, this family was middle class, but nothing special. And yet, his father had connections. His father was the Sergeant-In-Arms for the Hangaza Regional Legislature, and therefore had all sorts of political connections. The Ruwani Motor Speedway was having an exhibition for people who were interested in getting into the sport. And Ozoemena went, with his father. And the first time he got into a stock car, and drove it, he absolutely loved it. Now, of course, this was Banija- not many people had their own stock cars. The Ruwani Motor Speedway owned them, as Banija's racing circuit. So the senior Ozoemena worked hard to raise money. Took out loans, spoke to local Parliamentarians, did what he could to help pay for his son to train and be able to rent a car to get onto the track.

And from the beginning, he was a known star. Funds were the only thing keeping him from racing more often. He was driving the #45 car, renting that for 2 years. His first year, of course, he was raw- but people saw that he had the talent, he just needed more time on the track. But, as is true for so many athletes, he finally had a break that went his way. Of all the people who could finally put him on the track full time, it would be his former football coach at Hangaza Tech. The Tech coach had left to be the head coach at the Islamic University in Busoga, and of course, had gotten a big raise along the way. And he knew what Jelan was trying to do. He wrote him a check for $30,000 NSDs- a large sum, but enough so Jelan could pay for enough track time to actually improve his skills.

His second season, he came out and dominated the competition. Of course, he had the most practice time out of any of the Banijan racers, so it wasn't that much of a surprise, but still- just in his second season on the race track, and already dominating Banijan competition. THere had been drivers who had been there for years who couldn't do the things that Ozoemena was doing. Ozoemena, driving that #45 car, was able to complete a full season of 16 races at the Ruwani Motor Speedway, and won a stunning 8 races, blowing his competition out of the water. People were talking about him. Could he be Banija's first big thing in terms of motor sports? But it was clear- if he wanted to improve, he'd need to go against some of the multiverse's best competition. And of course, the funds for that would be wanting.

Realistically, the RTC would be the organization that could provide enough funding, both short and long-term, to put him abroad. But when Ruwani Motor Speedway organizers wrote to the RTC about their new talent, they were dismissed out of hand, with the RTC saying that motor sports could not be a profitable venture, and that they needed to focus on their core function. But how could they get Ozoemena out of Banija, against better competition? The generosity of a former RTC board member- Andrew Mavuto. Mavuto was one of Banija's richest men, indeed, he was responsible for the oil deposits that were found in Northern Hangaza. It would be Mavuto Holdings that would take him out of Banija, to elsewhere in the Glorious Southwest- Hapilopper.

HASCAR competition was easily the strongest in the Glorious Southwest, and Mavuto thought he saw a chance to make a killing. He bought Ozoemena his own car, and Ozoemena got to finally choose his old football number- #99. But of course, moving to Hapilopper domestic motor sports competition was quite a rough transition. The car that Mavuto Holdings had bought for him was not on the same levels as the stock cars in Hapilopper. And plus, in a country where there was actual passion for the sport, where drivers had been driving for a lifetime, well, Ozoemena could not compete- at least, not at the beginning. But he slowly improved. Instead of consistently finishing toward the bottom, by the end of his first season, he started finishing toward the middle. And it was season #2 where he finally made a breakthrough.

The Mavuto Holdings driver was going to take Hapilopper by storm. Opening his second season with a fourth place finish surprised many observers on their domestic scene, and it made news back home in Banija. He started to consistently finish in the top half of the table in HASCAR races, and then, tv ratings started to go up in Hangaza for HASCAR, with many wanting to supporting the local kid. And then, in the 10th race of that season, he finally took home a win- and what a moment it was. That's when the RTC took notice. As the season ended, the RTC approached him about them becoming his primary sponsor and taking his talents to the NSSCRA.

Ozoemena was not about to say no, was he? And now, here is where he finds himself. Driving a Sentoza Speedhawk. #99. His first season in the NSSCRA. Sponsored by the Regional Transit Corporation. It's likely, of course, that they will join some sort of a team alliance- the RTC does not have motor sports expertise, and they will need some sort of help to ensure that the car stays in good driving condition throughout the season. We'll see how the former Banijan HASCAR driver can fare against the multiverse's top motor sports competition.
Former champion of quite a few things. Former President of even more things.

Jaguar Racing: The International Community's Team

Postby TJUN-ia » Mon Feb 10, 2020 11:29 am

The TJUN-ia Motor Racing Organisation (TJUN-ia-MRO) has been very busy lately in two forms of motorsports. In WGP2, it's trying to get a dream fulfilled for Lane Carter. However, this isn't about the Forgotten Galarian of open-wheel racing at all. This is NSSCRA!

Stock-car racing is a different beast compared to open-wheel. In stock-car, the long game is played. Lap after lap going round and round, the endurance factor plays hugely in this series. NSSCRA has some of the best stock racers in the multiverse: and we're tying to compete against them.

Jaguar Racing
Jaguar Racing was set up to try and put TJUN-ia's name on the world of NSSCRA. As the International Community get more involved in the sporting world day by day, JR is one cog in this new Jaguar machine.

This new team has been practising behind the scenes for the last 2 months, preparing our drivers for this grand opportunity to become the first "champions" in the history of TJUN-ia. But who are these young stallions?

Micheal Stefan
20 year-old Micheal comes from the NAU town of Studtgraff. He usually competes in open-wheel, but decided to dip into stock just in time for NSSCRA 9. He can be aggressive when it come to overtaking, but he can do it in a very consistent manner. He may be considered the #1 driver by the team and by TJUN-ia-MRO but in all regards he is a rookie to this class. He will race in the #0 car, coloured in orange.

Alfonso Mercado
18 year-old Alfonso comes from the UAC City of San Pedro del Vasquez. He is more familiar to this class, having competed in junior stock championships since the age of 15. He nay be considered the #2, but don't let that underestimate his ability. He was in those junior categories for a reason. He will race in the #64 car, coloured in light blue. He was originally going for #13, but that has been clamed.

All in all, TJUN-ia-MRO has chosen a young duo, looking to leave their marks on this class. With the state also hosting Race 21 of the series in Peninsula's Jungle Circuit, TJUN-ia as a whole is gearing up for the new frontier. We'll see you all at the Exhibition at The Proving Grounds.

Second verse, not quite the same as the first.
By Delma McDuffie-Hylton

NEWMANISTAN - A lot of instability was brewing in the Mercado camp last year. A woefully overweight and ill handling car, and an owner who would eventually end up in jail for negligent business practices. At the end of S8 EsportivAir motorsports was essentially doomed and the Mercado project coming back was highly unlikely. Driver Jeff Shreeves had taken a position as an engineer within the Knox/Mercado camp for the domestic cars and a return trip to Wilkes county looked highly unlikely unless XCAR stepped in. But in stepped sponsor Jim Lowe, owner of Appalachian Multi-pupose stores Jim Lowe & Co. He came in in the 10th hour and saved the former Murray Spicer team. As we know Spicer was in hot water when his airline EsportivAir got in trouble over the infamous flight 888 accident. In steps Lowe though and he will retain Mercado funding and will bring along Jeff Shrevees and Appalachian youngster Troy Butterson Jr into the Fold

#52 Jeff Shreeves - Jim Lowe and Company
Jeff brings a wealth of knowledge. He started off in Central Shanvesville, his nation of birth. Shreeves was a brilliant engineer int he automotive field but after that nation folded he ran in Xanneria for EsportivaAir, now he works as an Engineer for Mercado and is looking to bring the car out of its slup it had last year.

#57 Troy Butterson Jr - Peidmont Airlines
A contender for Mercado in the Starcom Racing Motorsports League, He is the son of Troy Butterson, a prominent Appalachian Soccer writer. His sponsor is Piedmont Airlines, Appalachia's second largest airline and whose name is derived from the Piedmont region of southwest Appalachia, where the terrain is more noticeably rolling hills than it is Mountains like most of the nation.

#71 Brett Pickles - Stub-It Payroll Pervices
An Owner-driver in XCAR, this Xannerian native is likely being run as a third car in at least the two Appalachian races as a thank you from Mercado for his loyalty to the brand. Everything except for the entry fee should be handled by Pickles XCAR team.

Direwolf Auto Team from New Northwesteros returns for the ninth season of the Nationstates Stock Car Racing Association, hoping to do better than their DNQ-filled debut in the eighth season. The team gained one charter, giving it to native Northwesterosi Paul Nystrom. Nystrom will be back in the #21 Chadwick with primary sponsorship from Argoil, the lubricant brand of St. Kanye-based Argo Petrol. However, the paint scheme of the car will receive an overhaul, with more focus on red rather than yellow.

Secondary sponsorship also came in the form of Drawk Seal, a local adhesive brand. Despite the name, this is a Norwestie brand, though they chose the name because "Drawks are strong, and our adhesives also hold strong". (OOC: Permission from Drawkland was asked through TG.)

Direwolf also added to their roster the 19-year-old prodigy Tyler Linde, who was scouted by Nystrom at a late model race, similar to how St. Kanye's Skip Stiller found Thea Alvarez at the local dirt track. Linde was put through an extensive training course through the offseason; he will drive the #33 sponsored by Chadwick Dealers and his father's own company, Apocalypse Pest Control.

Sherpalander Liuyong Xu was retained after he didn't make the cut for an IRACT (the Sherpa stock car league) charter. With the Banijan team requesting the #99 (Xu's number last season) due to it being the old gridiron number of their driver Jelan Ozoemena, Direwolf switched Xu to the #9, which in turn became available due to Lisander's Dunneot GT Racing Team and former #9 user Licio Granado leaving the sport. Prime Insurance will sponsor all of Xu's races.

For the Exhibition at the Proving Grounds, Nystrom will use the Argoil scheme, and Linde will attempt to qualify with the Apocalypse scheme.
