Good mix of State, National and International stories. Biased slightly left on some stories, and biased against whoever is in government.

I sometimes cross-reference them to others like Russia Today, Press TV, Fox News WaPo and MSNBC to get various other, more radical slants on the topics covered. CNN, CBS, ABC are all garbage so I don't waste my time with them.

Outside of local news affiliates their stuff is just slow to hit the presses, shallow and bland as hell and they pretend to be neutral when a lot of their articles are heavily biased. With MSNBC and Fox I know I'm getting biased coverage, but they don't conceal the fact....it's just as shallow as any of theirs but at least it provides some alternative interpretations due to the obvious partisan slant. WaPo goes way deeper than any of them in its reporting and NYT in my opinion is the gold standard for its articles, especially anything related to foreign countries. WSJ is good for finance and economics related matters and its opinion section is top-notch.
ZeroHedge is good for alternative news without the insanity of InfoWars, as are RT and PressTV. I typically use the latter two to check against the stuff relating to the Middle East.

For local news I watch my local ABC affiliate and when I want a nice laugh, I read the Onion.

I also read state sponsored news, oftentimes from governments the West loves to demonize to get their point of view because each different culture has a different way of thinking
