Hello, Greetings, and Welcome to the Embassy of the Kingdom of Australia!

To begin, let us clarify a few things.

We are aware this isn't a new concept. We are aware folks will call this just another splinter region of one of the British regions. We are aware Constitutional Monarchies in general are overused, overplayed, and boring. BUT we don't really care!

The Kingdom of Australia is an annoyingly small region recently taken under the wing of a hard headed lover of executive work and general bossing people around who goes by Amelia Flynn. Here Amelia is the acting Prime Minister while the region begins further formulation to have a well established and well written constitution.
The region was founded by a hard headed angry Aussie at heart known as Arthur Pendragon who is acting Governor-General because reasons.

Our goals with this region are simple:
1. Have it do the things.
2. Avoid mistakes of our home regions.
3. Maybe R/D
4. Maybe do Foreign Affairs.
5. Have fun and see how close to the real Australia we can get without the annoying realities that take the fun of the political similation away!

It was a warm, summer afternoon in Sydney when the King said to Vamperiall; 'You know what, we should do a raid.'
'But my liege, we need to self isolate.'
'Lets just take this one region, and it's only got a few nations. The chance of catching the fendavirus is minimal.'
'Fine. I'll start making preparations my liege.'

And Vamperiall and Arthur did just that.

[center]Election Results[/center]

Near the beginning of June, the Kingdom of Australia held elections for Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister and for five seats in the House of Representatives. This marks the first election where citizens had their ballot full - all five seats for the House of Representatives were filled by a diverse set of candidates with different ideologies, but have already shown promise in working together to make Australia one of the premier Oceanic regions in Nationstates.

For Prime Minister, His Royal Highness, Sir Vamperiall Anses Ralticonis Mion-Norfolk put his hat in the ring and kicked off the election cycle being the first candidate to register. He swiftly won the polls uncontested and was subsequently confirmed by the House of Representatives to be the next Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Australia.

Vamperiall gave his first address to the Kingdom as Prime Minister and detailed his platform for the coming term, which included foreign service development, mandatory elector divisions and party membership, and emphasize recruitment efforts to increase the population of the Kingdom.

The following individuals were elected to the House of Representatives, with their party identification:

Albert Phillip Stuart, Independent;
Vamperiall Norfolk, Socialist Party of Australia;
Erika Akilinova, Independent;
Rayregalia Von Arcadia-Sova, Australia Coming Together Party; and
Valfor Talleyrand, Australia Coming Together Party.

As you can see, all five candidates have a wide range of opinions and beliefs on how to make Australia grow. Thus far, the political parties in Kingdom of Australia are committed to growth and have been working together already on a wide variety of proposals in the Parliament on ways to secure a strong foundation for Australia.

[center]Hustle in the House[/center]

The House of Representatives started the term with a bang and quickly sought passage of a World Assembly Delegate Act, written by The Honourable Valfor Talleyrand, that seeks to regulate the selection of the Kingdom's regional World Assembly Delegate, regulate and create duties for the Delegate, and the implementation of a regional world assembly endorsement cap to make sure the delegacy is always secure.

Valfor Talleyrand has also proposed a Constitutional Amendment to mandate candidates post campaign advertisements to detail their platform. Mr. Talleyrand has also proposed a Criminal Code Act, which the parliament is currently in debate, that seeks to codify certain crimes in the region. Mr. Talleyrand has spoken at length in the parliament of the important of such legislation, and it will serve as a foundation for law and order in the Kingdom moving forward.

Other matters that have required the attention of the Parliament is, of course, the confirmation of the Prime Minister vote and the selection of a Speaker to serve as the leader of the chamber. Members of the House of Representatives have resoundingly voted Albert Phillip Stuart to the chair. Congratulations to Albert and may he serve this chamber and this term admirably!

[center]King Appoints Electoral Commissioner[/center]

On 18 June, the King announced the appointment of Her Royal Australian Highness Madeline Haardrade as the Kingdom of Australia's first Electoral Commissioner.

As Electoral Commissioner, Madeline shall have the duties to conduct all elections within our borders and also shall approve all applications for parties within the Kingdom of Australia.
