Driver

Name: Miko Kaukanna
Name Trigram: KAU
Nation: Auruna
Nation Trigram: AUR
First Preference Car Number: 37
Second Preference Car Number: 38
Reliability/Aggression/Technique (total: 12, max. per stat: 5): 5/3/4

Bio:
A driver at heart, he is the son of legendary Aurun rally driver Töru Kaukanna. Trained by his father, he started out with karting at the age of 8. With his father's motivation, he rose up the ranks of the local karting scene and eventually competing in the Junior's Karting Championship. He won the championship which led him to be recruited by Viska Racing, an in-house tuning and racing team of Schkeska Motors and VSK Motors. At the age of 15, he competed in the 2003 Formula Auruna season but an accident at the fifth race of the season left him unable to continue the season. He took a year off to recover and returned to racing in 2005, still with Viska but now a part of their Junior Masters programme. His return is a successful one, winning 14 of 16 races in the 2005 Formula Auruna season, winning the championship. He proved to be better than before.

Miko chose to drive for Schkeska's rally team from 2006 to 2012, with his father as his co-driver. Then in 2013, he was chosen to drive to Viska at the Auvotörennä Mestänna Auruna (AtMA), a touring car series, until 2018. He's one of the best Aurun drivers, even making underperforming cars into race winners. From karting to open-wheeled to rally then to touring cars, where next? Back to open-wheeled with the WGP2. Competing at the age of 23, he may pull off a few surprises on and off-track. His skill definitely got him to the top.

He is not that aggressive but he is great at out-braking his competitors at corners. With his extensive knowledge of cars, his car setups are always flawless in his terms. Although he is a team player, he always tries to come out on top of his competition and even his team mates. He will find a way to win a race, even with unusual strategies and setups, he will push everything to the limits.

Team

Name: Schkeska-VSK Viska Racing
Nation: Auruna
Nation Trigram: AUR
Team Colour (Hex Code): 9a00e2
Reliability/Acceleration/Turning (total: 12, max. per stat: 5): 5/2.5/4.5

Bio:
A racing team of two Aurun automotive companies, Schkeska Motors and VSK, dating back to 1964, the two joined forces to dominate racing for Auruna with each specializing in specific parts. Schkeska for the engines and chassis, VSK for the aerodynamics (VSK is an Aurun aerospace and defense company which decided to dive into the automotive industry). Successful in other series, both international and domestic, Viska is one of the top Aurun racing teams and is backed by the government-owned MNA. Focused on reliability and cornering, they can push harder on track without encountering any reliability issues which are rare. Although not one of the fastest, they make sure to catch their competitors at the corners and get ahead of them before the exit.

It's time for them to compete in WGP2 and expectations are high for the top Aurun racing team as this is their third time competing in an international series. They can manage with such competitive field, and expect to finish atleast 6th in the Constructors' Championship.

Nation Trigram: DCS
First Preference Car Number: 50
Second Preference Car Number: 28
Reliability/Aggression/Technique (total: 12, max. per stat: 5): 3.9/3.1/5

Bio: Sara Luna is a 37-year-old woman who enjoys charity work, walking and bowling. She is kind and careful, but can also be very lazy and a bit grumpy. She is a Christian who defines herself as straight. She didn't finish school. She is allergic to sunlight. She has a severe phobia of stakes, and is obsessed with tank tops and coloring in.

She is average-height with pale skin, white hair and brown eyes, with a birthmark on her left shoulder.

Growing up in a working class neighborhood, her mother left when she was young, leaving her with her father, who was a drunk. Running away from home proved to be a natural pasttime for her. A series of strange coincidental circumstances brought her to the WGP2 and by sheer grit and hard work she hopes to stay there. Perhaps it was way to distract her from her problems. Plus, being outdoors in a fully-enclosed race suit aids her in her sun allergy.

She is currently in a relationship with Tom Tomas Bennett. Tom is 16 years older than her and works as a senior programmer.

Sara has two children with late husband Dana: Violet aged 6 and Zac aged 8.

Sara's best friend is a trainee tradesperson called Jared Ortiz. They are inseparable. She also hangs around with Eliza Holmes and Valentina Li. They enjoy playing card games together.

Its founder is Ǧnziza of Kos, the grandson of the great general and statesman Pippin of Kos, who was heavily involved in the making of the Phoenician Road and Tread Light traditions. His partner is Herculex Catsar, who specialise in producing rim-tire variations on the classic designs. Currently, the company views the WGP2 as a test of its craft, for it is confident that its products can handle the rigor the races require.

Lap Length (km): 4.19

Bio: The wide and free-flowing nature of Diarcesian roads naturally rolls over to this raceway. The dedicated and illustrious test track of the Pryfors Bilar (PB) automotive company was built shortly after its founding, near the original location of its HQ. It has witnessed countless moments of elation, despair, and twisted metal in its many decades of operation. Now, through the tears and grime of times past, it continues to inspire fear and joy in drivers of all abilities. In a bid to spread recognition internationally, the company aims to host the Raceway in one of the WGP2's events.

The competitors and spectators will experience a mix of thrills and pitfalls along the way. They may come across ancient relics of a bygone era, or even find statues of ancient snakes and lizards that have died out altogether.

The start of the track is located at the end of the Grovedoor Straight, and cars enter the sharp and wide turn of the Console-Passant. Cars finishing the previous lap can retain much of their speed entering it and maintain their pace to take advantage of the following still-open stretch, named by one of PB's test drivers as Memories of Old Run: a hotly-disputed part where the lead can swap hands several times in a lap. Following a forced slow-down on Turn Three, the narrowest segment of the track, the cars go full-speed again in the next couple of smooth turns. However, drivers must be careful: borrowing from poker terminology, the Flop, Turn, and River corners can be unforgiving to those who err.

The second half of the track begins with the lead-up to the Cansay Drift, normally used by PB to highlight their offerings' handling characteristics. Things slow down a bit and the cars pass under a bridge as the elevation increases. Once they reach the apogee at the Crux of Experience (that it's PB's marketing slogan is no coincidence), the drivers go downhill with a mild meandering stretch towards Turn 11. Another hot overtaking spot, the drivers must maintain their momentum here and on the entrance to the Grovedoor Straight if they don't want to be left behind in the dust as the lap finishes.

The fans who make up the bulk of the racing fan base will be happy to hear that the track does indeed have dedicated sections reserved for special events.

Reliability/Aggression/Technique (total: 12, max. per stat: 5): 4.5/3/4.5

Bio: To say that she merely won the Superformula Nekoni would be a masssive understatement. In fact, she ended up completely dominating the competition in 2018, by a margin of twice the second-placed competitor. Naturally, this meant bright things for the plucky 21-year-old, but she had to take most of the next year out due to a life-threatening accident during the much revered 24 Hour New Years' Eve Race of Varea, where she crashed her car in the pit wall, injuring her right leg and arm in the process. Fortunately, she made a full recovery, and against her doctor's wishes, got back in the driving seat as soon as September, and, whilst not taking part in the 2019 New Year's race, still found herself quickly back into winning ways.

WGP3 was a cakewalk. But is that down to Neretti's skill alone?

Bio: It seemed like only a matter of time before the Polaris team got into the WGP2 scene. After the last WGPC, the team took it upon themselves to foster the next generation of talent instead of waiting for another country to do it for them. With a rejuvenated account book after a disappointing, yet financially heavily lucrative season, the former Fire and Ice team were able in January 2020 to purchase the now-defunct Taiga-240 team from Superformula Nekoni, and are determined to use their new acquisition to build the future for themselves.

For an enterprise that only started in the mid 2010s, they have seen success fairly soon with their use in both the aforementioned team, as well as becoming official suppliers for the WGP3-affiliated Superformula Nekoni.

Percentage Chance of Rain (max: 18%): 5.73
Overtaking Difficulty (1-5): 2
Margin for Error (1-5): 4.5

Qualifying Type (Traditional, Two-Tier, One-Shot, Elimination): One-Shot
Lap Record (m:ss.xxx): 1:32.742
Lap Length (km): 6.397 km

Bio: Faranelle is a tiny village in the leafy centre of Nekoni. Despite only having a population of 400 people, it is famous for precisely two things: its wine, and its infamous motor racing circuit. Built in 1964, it has been virtually unchanged since its creation, with the only notable addition to the layout being a chicane added in 1986 for safety reasons after a spate of fatal crashes throughout the turbo-charged era of the early 1980s. This has a reputation for being one of the world's most demanding circuits for both car and driver, with extreme speeds pushing engines and tires to the limit.

The circuit begins with a kilometre long blat down the pit-straight, the road slightly angled downwards. After a challenging slow left first turn, the driver slingshots through the next three turns, fairly simple bends that can be taken at full throttle fairly simply, which leads to a hard right turn 4. The Toboggan section is usually the driver's favourite part of the circuit, a quick left, then a long, banked sweeper begging to build speed on. The turn has a slight undulation, dipping in elevation at the centre, before rising again out of the turn.

Now, this part of the track at one point was a straight left to carry the rider's speed onto the Pleiades Straight, but the aforementioned deaths at the track has caused a chicane to be installed here. At first, the purists of the sport were up in arms about the alleged neutering of the circuit's danger, but in practice, the chicane can be taken without losing all too much speed and offers some mild respite for the car's engine. However, that respite is short-lived, for the longest straight on the circuit immediately follows.

The blast of driving the Pleiades may not be as scary as it once was, but the 1.2km straight still allows some monstrous speeds, and the dramatic elevation increase leaves the driver more in the dark about what comes next...the Poignard. Many a foolish driver here has been far too brave with the outbraking and launched his car into the gravel trap here (and with the cars of old, launching was very much the exact word to use!) Turn 12 isn't the tightest turn on the circuit, but by far it is the most difficult. Leading on from speeds potentially reaching 200mph in a WGPC car into a slow turn like this would be on its own difficult, but the height increase makes it incredibly difficult to judge where the best line through the turn is. Add to that the final few metres of the straight being noticeably narrower, to deliberately blind the turn, and then take into account the street circuit-esque layout of the surrounds of the tarmac, with a heavy concentration of supporter stands with high walls surrounding the perimeter to prevent a long, long drop into the valley below...A rite-of-passage for any Nekoni driver is to attempt a last lap attack at Le Poignard, and the stadium-like atmosphere of the section makes it glorious if the driver can pull it off...and humiliating if they fail. No driver wants to hear Le Poignard fall silent.

Steeled by the Poignard, the driver heads down the hill they just scaled, into the final complex. Both of these combination curves are puzzles in their own way; the second part is tighter than the first, and the most obvious line may not necessarily be the correct one, for carrying too much speed into Turn 16 leaves the driver wide open for attack on the pit straight.

Four miles, 16 turns. If you can win at Arnaud, you can win anywhere.

Second Preference Car Number: 14
Reliability/Aggression/Technique (total: 12, max. per stat: 5): 5 / 3 / 4
Height: 259,08 centimeters (8 ft. 6 in.)

Bio: Having debuted and won a race in NSSCRA 8, Jolyn figured that she would like to make a debut in WGP2, which she heard about from the rest of the team. She has crashed and died on the last race of NSSCRA 8, but with the power of synthetic bodies, Jolyn came back to life (as with the rest of the Valentians that have long-left their organic bodies). Ironically, even with the dislike for road courses back in NSSCRA, Jolyn decided to try out in Formula One racing, since she more or less trust that at least the way the races work will be much more reliable, having to expect road courses almost every single time. More about her can be found here. She will NOT be bringing her weapons, or time powers, or anything of that sort. Those are meant for Forum 7 and other lighter RPs, so they will have no place in NS Sports for unfair advantages. Not even slowing down time for faster reaction times.

Bio: While she might not have raced in NSSCRA 8, she has her fair share of helping out Clarissa, Jolyn, and Gwen as part of the pit crew. Having been excited about the prospect of racing, Adriana decided to try out the world of Formula One racing, hoping that Jolyn's experience will rub off on her as well. While not as reliable as Jolyn, as with the nature of the Valentians, they are not very aggressive. Given the computational nature of her as a robot, she is a bit more reliable than Jolyn when it comes to calculating on-the-whim. A Polish Robot who is a little too excitable, but still someone to count on. More about her here! She will NOT be bringing her weapons, offensive or defensive. Given the nature of her build, she is more resistant to crashes and take quite a fair amount of punishment.

Both of them will have an average human height in the car, but outside of the race, their full heights will be pronounced.

WGP2 Season Three - Signup

Postby Vilita and Turori » Sun Feb 02, 2020 6:05 am

Driver Name: Cocoabo #23 (Coco Fast or Fast Cocoabo)
Name Trigramme: C23
Nationality (Trigram): V&T
Preferred Number: 23
Reliability (Between 2 and 5): 2.5
Aggression (Between 2 and 5): 4.5
Technique (Between 2 and 5): 5

Short Biography: Cocoabo #23 is a product of the Cocoabo Park Enrichment and Enhancement Project (CocoPEEP). The Cocoabo Park Arena in Cocoabo Park was developed to train Cocoabo in the art of Footsports. Recently, however, Tropicorp and the Cocoabo Preservation Society unveiled the Cocoabo Park Circuit.

Cocoabo #23 - Known informally as "Coco Fast" or "Fast Cocoabo") is the first Cocoabo to have 'graduated' from the CocoPEEP Racing programme - having demonstrated sufficiently the ability to navigate the Cocoabo Park Circuit for 30 consecutive laps without going off course.

Cocoabo #23 finished as runner-up during WGP2 Season one. While they missed the podium during Season two they are ready to return during WGP2 Season III and challenge for the championship which could prove them ready to make the jump to the WGPC.

Driver Name: Jama'obo Pegasii
Name Trigramme: PEG
Nationality (Trigram): V&T
Preferred Number: 37
Reliability (Between 2 and 5): 3
Aggression (Between 2 and 5): 5
Technique (Between 2 and 5): 4

Short Biography: Pegasii is a racer at heart having previously competed and won in various levels of motorsport including openwheel, Formula Hodori and NSSCRA Stock Cars. A traditional Journeyman driver, Pegasii had considered a return to stock cars but with the Vilisorma Beverage Company's recent release of the Vilaye Roast product line, Pegasii has full financial support for any ride which they would be able to secure for a second season in the WGP2 ranks.

Team Name: VTM Tropicorp Engineering
Team Nationality (Trigram): V&T
Team Principal: Gary Cook
Reliability (Between 2 and 5): 3
Aerodynamics (Between 2 and 5): 4
Technical and Engineering Skills: (Between 2 and 5): 5

Description: Tropicorp Engineering will have their design headquarters in Tropicoast, Tropicorp but their Chassis and Engines will be constructed in Vilita & Turori. VTM Team Tropicorp finished 3rd in the constructors standings during WGP2 Season One and 2nd in the constructors standings during WGP2 Season Two. Of course there is only one goal for the team this season which is likely to retain the services of Cocoabo #23 but have an open competition for the second seat vacated by Edward Baker, the winner of the WGP2 Season Two Finale.

Circuit Name: Cocoabo Park Circuit
Location: Cocoabo Park, Cocoabo Forest, Atlantian Oceania
Nation Trigram: V&T
Name of Event: Cocoabo Preservation Grand Prix

Qualifying Type (Traditional or Two-Tiered): Two-Tiered
Lap Record (F1/WGPC Car): 1:41:00
Track Lap Length (km): 6.63km

Aggressiveness / Technical Difficulty: 4/6
Chance of being a wet race (1%-20%): 17%
Overtaking difficulty (0.5 - 5. 0.5 is easy, 5 is difficult): 2.9
Margin for Error : 1.6

Bio: Drivers will hug the line along the tributary between the hills around turns 1, 2 and 3; speeding out of turn 3 toward the over taking zones at turn 4, 5 and 6. Crossing the river they will bend around to set themselves up for the long, slow turn 8 - another prime opportunity for overtaking. Getting through the 'Esses' will be critical to set up back across the river for the 90 degree turn 12. Sweeping through 13 to set up for the Hairpin Turn 14 and then accelerate back across the line to complete a lap. While the turns are varied a moderately skilled driver will be able to handle them. The biggest challenge for drivers will be maintaining focus as a lack of any truly 'straight' sections means that the driver will always be on the wheel, setting up for the optimum line in every section of the track.

Bio: One of the major car manufacturers in the Imperial Commonwealth, SinVal specialise in the higher end of performance, with a wide range of sports cars and supercars in its production license. In terms of motor-racing, they have been a near constant in Eastfielder participation on the world stage, having supplied the engines to the joint MSA-SinVal team as far back as WGPC14. The team fell apart, and SinVal began striking out their own vision in the WGPC and the WGP2, albeit to mixed success. This is just their latest venture, but team principal Alaina Navarro will be desperately hoping its a successful one.

Name of Event: Grand Prix of Westmeadow Tavern

Aggressiveness/Technical Difficulty (total: 10): 3/7
Percentage Chance of Rain (max: 18%): 11
Overtaking Difficulty (1-5): 2
Margin for Error (1-5): 3

Qualifying Type (Traditional, Two-Tier, One-Shot, Elimination): One-Shot
Lap Record (m:ss.xxx): 1:32:00 (Projected WGPC)
Lap Length (km): 5.8 km

Bio: With the Mount Salt Raceway's WGPO contract under review following poor consumer feedback, the EAMR has had to look elsewhere to submit a track for consideration. And the Tavernia Parkway circuit was the biggest capacity circuit in the Imperial Commonwealth that was able to host at such a short notice - organisers couldn't agree a timeframe with the Port Lodgertia city council quickly enough to get that street circuit on board.

A fairly old racetrack, long overdue renovation works means that the facilities will be in top condition in time for the season (should the track be selected). It is notable for having one of the shortest start/finish straights in the Imperial Commonwealth, all of 180m between the line and the first corner's braking zone. A very winding first sector around the bottom of the hill keeps the pack close early on, the cars jostling for position before opening up onto the long back straight. This will be the fastest the cars go, before the fast turns 8 and 9 catapult them onto the uphill straight, climbing well over 30m on just that straight before reaching the apex of the turn 10 hairpin, the highest point of the circuit. Coming back down the hill through 40m of tight twisting turns kicks off the 3rd sector, a series of right and left low gear turns where the only the bravest drivers can find overtaking points - the barriers here are pretty unforgiving, unlike everywhere else on the track. The track levels out at turn 18, and the pace picks up, a couple of fast corners that then open up into the finish line. The pit lane entry is halfway around the long fast turn 20, and can get quite messy at times in when people try to overtake. The pit lane exit is specifically designed to stop people getting the jump on those out on track, a low gear right hander to slow the exiting cars down, and also allows a long pit lane for bigger events such as these.

A WGP2 coming to Tavernia is big news in the Imperial Commonwealth, where so often, international sporting events are mostly confined to the central region of Eastfield Lodge itself, with little love for the rest of the empire. Should Tavernia Parkway get the nod, it marks the first time an international motor race will be held outside of Eastfield Lodge, with Mount Salt City and Lodgertia hogging all previous races up to this point, and will be a big turning point in the fight to bring more international events to the outlying regions.

Lance was integrated into the National Football Team while Jester became one a stater at DE for the newly-formed National Gridiron Football Team.

Lane wasn't as athletic as his brothers. While Lance was performing in the Baptism of Fire, Lane was mastering the art of karting. When he came to TJUN-ia City, asked what he wanted to do, he said "I want to race".

In testing the new Jungle Circuit in Peninsula, the newly formed TJUN-ia Motor Racing Organistion (TJUN-ia-MRO) quickly discovered the talent of the 3rd Carter brother. He wasn't the most aggressive, taking the car around corners like a paintbrush. He knew how to get the best out of the test car. He was ready....

The Pre-Season Phase has begun!

Thank you for all of your submissions, everybody; of course, if you haven't done so yet, you can still submit a driver or tyre supplier and jump in whenever you'd like.

We are the Nexus Wardship of Former Citizens of the Nimbus System, not just a collection of people; please shorten to the pre-title or use the full name!

Emmet: You might see a mess -
Lord Business: Exactly: a bunch of weird, dorky stuff that ruined my perfectly good stuff!
Emmet: Okay. What I see are people, inspired by each other and by you - people taking what you made and making something new out of it.

So like I have a problem.
I want to use Racing Scorinator V2, but I'm on mobile and I can't access my parents' laptops(because studies and all), so like I may need someone to scorinate the results for me.
If anyone can scorinate the results for me it'll be fully appreciated!

I think I'm reaching my word limit, so I'm going to pop it here:

Name: Laurencia Lynds
Name Trigram: LYN
Nation: Eastfield Lodge
Nation Trigram: EFL
First Preference Car Number: 44
Second Preference Car Number: 77
Reliability/Aggression/Technique (total: 12, max. per stat: 5): 4/4/4

Bio: Now 22, Laurencia took to karting quite late for a professional racer, only finding out she had a knack for driving karts in her mid-teens. She rose quickly, the Marpacian born driver netting consistent podium finishes in junior formulas before signing on for SinVal in the previous edition of the WGP2 championship. It didn't go well, a mixture of the car being slow and her poor adjustment to the world stage saw her bottle quite a few races from good qualifying positions, barely avoiding the foot of the drivers' table in the process. Nonetheless, she's back, and planning to stick with the SinVal team this season as the more junior driver. Her instinctive driving style has won her plaudits back home, but can she bring it up on the big stage?

Name: Lorcan Greanaya-Matthewson
Name Trigram: LGM
Nation: Eastfield Lodge
Nation Trigram: EFL
First Preference Car Number: 73
Second Preference Car Number: 17
Reliability/Aggression/Technique (total: 12, max. per stat: 5): 5/2/5

Bio: A rarer breed of driver, one who excels in managing races from the front as opposed to taking on all-comers through the field. What's most impressive about Lorcan, besides his name, is how he drives in the more demanding conditions - slow, windy roads, wet weather, that sort of thing. His composure is breathtaking, not seeming feeling any pressure whatsoever, even when he's fighting to stay in front through the corners. Not the most aggressive driver however, as Lorcan prefers to play the patient long game as opposed to attacking the cars in front, and to that end, he has a brilliant mind for strategy and tyre management, often making calls himself out on track. Still, at only the age of 18, and the best domestic driver not to already have a WGPO superlicence, the Scholarly Empire-born driver has a lot of potential to show.

Player Submission

Name: Kitti Armbruster
Name Trigram: ARB
Nation: Nephara
Nation Trigram: NPH
First Preference Car Number: 41
Second Preference Car Number: 46
Reliability/Aggression/Technique (total: 12, max. per stat: 5): 2.5/5/4.5

Bio: 23 years old and freshly emerging onto the scene, Armbruster is good. She's damn good, and she knows it, and she's had to be all her life. In large part, this is due to the fact that Nepharim are not particularly renowned racers, and not in the sleeping-giant sense. But she's achieved what she can in Terranea, and is now in the process of pushing out tape to anyone who'll listen, aggressively self-promoting for the highest bidder in time-honoured Nepharim mercenary fashion.

For all her undeniable virtues, Armbruster is... erratic. Even by Nepharim standards, she is an extravagant drinker and outrageous flirt. There's a chance that she may not be the most professional driver on the books, and she is absolutely going to flash the cash the moment it shows for her. She's superstitious, as well; the inside of her car is set to be festooned with talismans. But she is a competitor- hell, a winner. And when pressed, she's fearless, determined, and very nearly as good as she thinks she is.
