I support this.

Doesn't matter that its one or two tg's every 5 days. Clearly it annoys some people even to the point of quitting, why not have it be optional?

It's often an argument for why people don't join when pressured to join. You'd be surprised how easily annoyed some people can be.

Let us have bigger inboxes by default, or else let the canned WA telegrams be optional. This thread is now two pages; clearly that means it's not just one or two people complaining, and maybe it's an issue that needs to be addressed.

Actually, I delete the WA telegrams received. Not in support of them, but I don’t see how hard it is to delete them on the spot. Thus no reason for complaining. After all, telegrams are just pushed to the next page and are deleted when you logout. So just delete the WA telegram(s) before you logout.

Interesting method... I don’t do that because I want the actual copy of the telegram(s) as proof that a player sent something.

But thank you for mentioning — I now seriously consider your method.

This is what I do too, but it's still tedious.

Most of the time I'm not online when resolutions are passed (i.e. I'm not sitting in front of a computer 24 hours a day), which means that if I have 20 telegrams in my inbox and then I get a new one, from the WA or otherwise, the oldest telegram in my inbox goes bye-bye.

Stay logged in into your nation. That way the oldest telegram(s) don’t go. Unless, this nation is your puppet nation for another nation and you are logged in into your main account.

By definition, I'm not logged in when my computer is off. There's an auto-logout after 30-60 minutes anyway IIRC, and as I said, I'm not sitting in front of a computer 24 hours a day.

I agree that a block would be helpful on WA resolutions passed ... but the ones about being ejected are also from the World Assembly something-or-other, aren't they? Those shouldn't be blocked. This has been requested and ignored before. It's ultimately up to Admin to decide.

Hello,

I was thinking of a middle-ground change where notifications of new World Assembly legislation/repeals could be moved to the Notices system. The Notices system already has capabilities for compulsory notifications, such as incorrect password attempts.

That would be due to the fact that the mods don't implement anything except rules and warnings. Changing game code requires an admin.

Honestly, while those telegrams do seem annoying, it's better to know that the results are being changed accordingly than to wake up one morning and find out that your stats have changed without you noticing.

I feel we should not be allowed to block them, because if we can, the mods will be dealing with an angry flood of "why did my stats suddenly change!?" requests every time a WA resolution is passed.

So a Mod can call someone annoying but I can't say "annoying smiles" back? uhhhh, nice

Like I suspected though, game mods will defend their moderators even when they're in the wrong. Maybe warn the person who insulted first, thanks!
