I liked Black Flag, but Rogue is the one I go back to since it’s a little more polished.

And as a longtime fan, I still like the fun of being a Templar for once.

If you're into card games like Hearthstone and such, the open beta for Legends Of Runeterra (The League Of Legends card game) is live.

Why is it that whenever I see an enemy that looks like/actually is a Destiny Wizard, I fly into an unstoppable Doom Slayer rage until it or me is dead?

I can understand why the developer has a hard time maintaining support for three platforms… it would be less controversial if Windows 10 had not been so bad as to make NTLite de facto mandatory.

Windows 10 isn't bad though. Not anymore anyway. In fact it's a reasonably good OS all things considered. As far as what happens under the hood as opposed to the UX (which I will admit is worse than 7) I'd actually take it over 7 any day.

Purpelia does not reflect my actual world views. In fact, the vast majority of Purpelian cannon is meant to shock and thus deliberately insane. I just like playing with the idea of a country of madmen utterly convinced that everyone else are the barbarians. So play along or not but don't ever think it's for real.

Indeed they are. Boarding a Man O War is never not fun.

Never played Rouge. Though I do like how it presents the Templar vs Assassin conflict in a bit more of grey area.

Also as a side note thanks to the recent news about Horizon Zero Dawn I have been reading the lore of it(never played it though it looks really good) and now I want to travel into the game and murder Ted Faro in the most painful way possible.

Anyone who likes Black Flag should like Rogue. It’s got the same piracy gameplay.

I think of it as a New Vegas like expansion. It’s built on the same game, but with a new story and key gameplay changes. I much prefer Rogue’s North Atlantic map, and upgrading the Morrigan no longer requires all those diving missions.

AC3 is where i kind of gave up on that franchise (though i struggled with Brotherhood honestly). Story was soooo fucking dull and uninteresting which is a shame because i liked the setting. Only got into Black Flag for a bit the other year, and despite the fun naval combat, i didnt really give much of a fuck about anything else and fell off.

Tried the one set in London too for a while, and its combat and setting was fun but again i didnt care about the story again so fell off. Beating peoples faces in as Evie with a cane tho, good god.

Not bothered with any of the newer ones, im just... bored i guess of Ubisoft open world games because they are basically the exact same game with a new coat of paint.

Rising Storm 2: Vietnam is very fun. I love playing as the North, gunning down unsuspecting GIs, sneaking through tunnels, setting up punji traps, inevitably getting napalmed... It’s great.

It's so weird running around the Frontier. Back in the day, the map was huge. Intimidating. And in spite of that, it was still very manageable. Running everywhere without a horse is extremely doable and very productive for a completionist like me.

And now it's puny in comparison to the size of Egypt and Greece. Riding a horse is mandatory, there's so much empty space. They really sell well the idea that those maps feel like an entire country.

I can never wait to see the size of the next game, it's awesome everytime. The ambition of the rumoured Viking game could be insane, they could cover everything down to and encompassing the entire Mediterranean.

If it was possible I'd go down the Linux-only gaming route, but support for games is so patchy that the best one can do is have a dual-boot system.

Yeah, I can see why now that I'm awake. Voice acting is piss poor, the graphics look like something from the original X-Box and frankly the story (What little there is) isn't grabbing me.

And unlike Steam, I can't get a refund for a sucky game. What a waste of $15.
