Where are you from? (poll included)

There is a thread asking what your hair color is and another asking how old you are. So, where are you from? What is it like there?

I was originally born in South Carolina and spent my early childhood years there until I moved to Florida and then later to upstate New York where I have lived most of my life now. I like it here. In a stark contrast to NYC, upstate New York has a lot of space, really nice people, a relaxed atmosphere, and is way cheaper. It has a lot of beautiful forests and mountains, too. Summers are pretty nice in that it rarely gets hot, but winters can be brutal with freezing temperatures and heavy snow sometimes.

I'm from Hessen in central Germany. It's nice, with mountains, forests, and a lot of farmland. It can be beautiful in winter when it snows, especially in gardens. I moved to California though, and there is no snow or seasons at all. Other than that, it's okay. I do occasionally miss my home sometimes, but California has a lot more sun, which is great.

It might be. I've never been there, but it could be similar.

Thus far, it seems that the majority (59% right now) are from the five nations I listed. Since it looks 99% of the stuff on this forum is in English, I thought it would make sense that the overwhelming majority of members come from English-speaking nations and those are the largest ones. I don't count India since English is just a secondary language there.

Depends on where you live in that part of the province, but the climate there is generally hot and humid.
