Monty Python's Terry Jones has passed away.

This is a thread for sharing your memories of someone who once observed that Brian of Nazareth wasn't the Messiah, but was instead a very naughty boy.

I, for one, would have preferred to think about how we know the Earth to be banana-shaped. This new learning amazes me; it's a shame he'll never again be able to explain how sheep’s bladders may be employed to prevent earthquakes.

I loved Monty Python: they were such great movies. Sad to hear he has passed away. Rest in Peace, you'll be missed.

Smart and funny, he always seemed like a genuinely decent chap. I feel rather sad at his passing. Do not adjust your set was a joyous part of my childhood, and this death so soon after Neil Innes dying. :(

Monty python was my first exposure to British humor. I can still do line for line bits from the show and movies. He had a profound influence on my sense of what is funny

To be honest, I don't really know that much about Monty Python, mainly because of my age, and also because of cultural difference. Back in Burma, and even in Singapore, never heard of it until I got to the internet and someone recommended it to me.
