Due to our nation's large size, bus and high-speed rail services are the predominant methods of public transport in the Democratic Republic. Both the bus and rail services are under state-ownership and managed by Gandoor Bus Services and Gandoor Rail; however, Gandoor Bus Services only directly manages the nationwide bus service, local bus services are managed by local governments instead.

Taxis and trolleys. Buses are banned because they are inefficient public transport. Privatization of transport is better utilizing constant flow in urban areas and no clog ups or traffic.

As the Synunder industrial complex has been proven time and time again to be non-compatible with standard automobile roads most transit relies on either walking or taking the Underground rail services. Though most of it is 'private' Synunder operates in a way that is semi-nationalized meaning the Underground can be considered public transportation.

Monorail trains are extremely common planet-side, though the majority of Imperial Citizens rely on established Passenger Routes, taking interplanetary luxury shuttles between worlds, though this is mainly reserved for the wealthy as the fees for such an act typically outweigh the benefits, and most reserve trips in these shuttled for special events, like vacations to 'Paradise' worlds or migration to a new planetary system. Some, however, even use these shuttle routes to get to work, especially in the case of working at orbital stations or in systems with several inhabited planets.

Currently the most popular form of public transport are buses (either electric, hydrogen-powered, or fusion-powered), followed by the National Metro Railway Network (rapid transit) with inter-city travel across the country done through the National High-Speed Rail Network (high-speed rail) and National Rapid Maglev Railway Network (high-speed maglev) while rarely through short-distance domestic air-travel. The Kangmukeli and political-hardliners saw it crucial to further expand Zhouran's already-massive railway infrastructure in order to allow more goods and people to travel across the nation while reducing reliance on motor vehicles and also reducing gas emissions in order to continue protecting the environment and fight against man-made climate change.

Although Zhouran already had one of the highest motor vehicles per capita for several years the country was also a leading nation in public transit and high-speed rail for decades as well, however The Kangmukeli saw the need to drastically decrease traffic congestion in order to allow goods and people to be transported quickly on the road, thus in 2028 The Kangmukeli made it an imperative to not only rapidly expand the National Metro Railway Network (rapid transit), National High-Speed Rail Network (high-speed rail) and National Rapid Maglev Railway Network (high-speed maglev), but also provide free ridership for public transit and further lower the cost of tickets for the NHSRN and NRMRN, thus in a single year the passenger ridership for public transit across numerous towns and cities such as the NMRN and buses had skyrocketed along with the number of inter-city travels within the NHSRN and NRMRN, meanwhile the amount of motor vehicles on the road per day had drastically decreased while the presence of traffic congestion became very rare.

In order to further reduce emission and achieve a cleaner, greener future, in 2028 The Kangmukeli made it an imperative to further accelerate national-level zero-emissions by banning motor vehicles that emit gas and only allowing nuclear power and renewable energy as the only form of energy source for the country, luckily a couple decades prior, nuclear power had already displaced coal power as Zhouran's main source of energy and the country was already the world's largest producer of commercial nuclear power by having the highest number of nuclear reactors in the world as well as being the largest producer of commercial wind power in the world by having the highest number of wind farms, the country was also already a large electric-car market that rivaled China in both total number of electric vehicles on the road and number of electric vehicles manufactured annually, by 2030 only nuclear, hydro, wind and solar were the source of energy for Zhouran's massive power grid while all motor vehicles permitted on the road are either electric, hydrogen-powered, or fusion-powered, thus paving the way towards a zero-emission future.

Transportation from private corporations are banned in Zhouran not only due to The Kangmukeli banning private entities in 2027 but also because private transport entities only care about profits, do not take into account the universal right to travel without restrictions, tend to ignore environmental laws until having to be reminded by the government, and reduce transportation efficiency due to focusing more on profit incentives than productivity incentives on solely transporting goods and people.

Some of the major arcologies near the equator are connected by hyperloop-like vactrains. However, public transport out in the sticks is far less advanced, relying mainly on "Megabusses", large tracked vehicles which roam continuously between the domed settlements of the frontier. Those with a little more money to spare might travel by SSTO, however this is rare as most of those with money to spare usually leave Bouwen altogether

There is little nationwide public transport due to the enormous physical size of the Radiatian Federation (the country spans six time zones east to west, and from the arctic circle down to just north of the tropic of cancer). The most common means of nationwide transport is aircraft, though it possible to catch a train (such as the Overland or Trans Radiatian Express) or even bus - but land based travel could be a matter of weeks.

Within individual cities, it depends on the size of the city - almost anywhere with a population of more than 100,000 people will at least have a bus service, larger cities will have a commuter train or light rail as well and very large metropolises such as Exegrad and Midgard have underground railways (subways) and sometimes monorails. (Also the capital, Xerconia FCT, is known for its unique "skytrain" which is a suspension railway - but it's become more of tourist attraction than an actual bit of transport used by commuters.)

However outside of very large, very crowded cities where mass transit is an absolute necessity, most Radiatians are more likely to use private cars than public transport.

What should also be remembered is that almost no city has actual "public" transport (except Exegrad where three inner city lines on the underground are free of charge and owned by the city) - almost all mass transit is actually provided by various for-profit companies, with ticket prices paid to those providers. (And in weird cases sometimes you'll have, for example, two competing bus companies doing the same route in the same city with consumers given the choice between who they think is cheaper, quicker and more reliable. If the Number 10 bus was late, why not try the Number 10 bus as provided by the other bus company?)

and put a stopping place within and easy walk of most residences.

larger traffic generating sites are of course linked by larger form factor infrastructure and vehicles,
but even these tend to be more modest in scale then those today's earth are familiar with or people in developed countries first think of.

by solar suplimental i mean on board trickle charging to supliment a rapid charging connections, such as a pantograph or other direct connection to the grid at major transfer points. other methods of propulsion include shaped magnetic field in resonance. but not the use of combustion in any form.

a.i. assisted dispatching is also integral to most systems, so you could say 'smart railways' and some but not all and probably not most, are even "driverless", thought there is at least one organic sapient person present who can over ride the automatics in case they loose coherience of the situation.

we consider minimal form factor key to energy efficiency, which in turn enables complete independence from any reliance of combustion.
also while our population figures are a projection based on an inaccurate and discredited premis, our actual communities are each relatively modest in population, though they are many and perhaps not greatly far apart in most regions, though nearly all regious are mountainous and even more of them are densely forested.

at any rate our public transport network is extremely dense and as mentioned, there are very few places, other then really complete wilderness, where you are more then half a mile from a stopping place for public transport of some kind or another.

We use many different types of public transport, with the main being Monorail, along with Boat and Small Aircraft coming in 2nd and 3rd respectively. Future Transit is being looked into.

There is none. Nobody's going to let someone else ride in/on him like some kind of horse. Plus, Decepticons can transform and fly to their destinations on their own just fine, so there is no need for it. Therefore, we've never bothered to develop non-sapient vehicles for that sort of work.
