Hey guys - new legislation on the legalisation of marijuana has been proposed in the WA. Please read and, hopefully, approve the draft legislation, and comment! Thanks

(OOC: Welcome to the General Assembly. Although you have posted in the GA forum, that doesn’t mean much if you have already submitted the proposal. Since this hasn’t been drafted, it would be a good idea for the legislation to be withdrawn so that feedback and critique can be given.)

BELIEVING THE MEDICINIAL AND RECREATIONAL ADVANTAGES OF MARIJUANA FAR OUTSTRETCH THE POTENTIAL DAMAGE CAUSED:

1) This bill would place all responsibility for the regulation, sale and supply of marijuana to public and/or private companies within each nation in the World Assembly. It is the firm belief of this nation that this would allow the following to happen:

a) The strength of the marijuana to be significantly reduced
b) The cutting of marijuana with other, more dangerous, substances would cease immediately
c) The drug usage in the World Assembly to drop significantly, due to vast numbers of people being forced into drugs by drug-lords and other illegal or ill-advised means.
d) The medicinal applications of Marijuana for treating conditions such as Epilepsy would begin to be more widely accepted and explored by member states
e) The taxation of marijuana, legally, could produce vast revenues for nations.

HEREBY LEGALISES MARIJUANA FOR ANY USAGE ON A PERSONAL AND NATIONAL LEVEL, FOR ANY AND ALL NATIONS WITHIN THE WORLD ASSEMBLY
