They're a sleeper cell that's been out of contact with you for a while. They've gotten bitter and angry, and have decided to take matters into their own hands.

While they swore allegiance to Saranidia, they aren't really controlled by it anymore. They were basically fighting for their warped view of it, which isn't helped by the fact that they're stressed, angry and bitter that Suleiman got away, and they have no way to talk to Saranidia or know what the hell is going on/receive orders.

The terrorist attacks in question were okay'd by the OP, happened a month before the start of this RP, and were carried out by disgruntled Saranidian agents.
Hence why I've already declared war.

What happened exactly will be posted in the form of flashbacks in my posts. You might have seen a little section with November 29 on it. That's where it is. I'll post more in my next post. Be patient.

This is a modern take on a numbers station, not only does it use short wave and shortwave teletype it uses internet social media and places like youtube. the text of the message includes authentication codes, alert warnings, activation phrases, encryption, and decryption keys. As well as a section of specifically chose text. The numbers at the end are the encrypted sequences that select which letter from the text is the next letter in the actual message. another layer of encryption is to have random gibberish for part of the message, embed the actual message in lines of gibberish, then use a second cipher to further encrypt the message..so even if the opposition can decrypt the first message, the second one is a mix of gibberish and another encrypted message.

No real message this time I was in a rush and didn't have the time to encrypt anything...I have used it in RPs before but then it was as a GM for modern setting tabletop games. Next time I may hide something to give ya something to do for giggles.


Valkiir would have had very limited interactions with anyone since it became independent in the 80s. before that it was a relatively minor commonwealth nation and most of its interactions would be as part of Commonwealth forces, or with the United States, Older veterans of WWII, WWI, and Korea style wars might remember Valkiiri Regiments a bit like Gurkha, or Anzac "Light Horse" regiments would be remembered IRL. For the most part, it just fell out of the international scene since the 50s. What you can find out is that before and after its independence it broke down into a very dirty civil war between various factions. and has spent a great deal of time rebuilding its economy and infrastructure. since several of its cities were rendered uninhabitable due to infrastructure collapse, pollution, and structural damage from the war that much would be available on a simple google or wiki search. More detailed information is hard to come by since it hasn't made much effort to establish outside ties.

Across multiple frequencies including military and civilian naval frequencies, the following message was played.

This is Admiral H'mdrig Hdratta. Republic Of valkiir Navy. Taskforce 23 aboard the HMS Leviathan. We are conducting routine training and freedom of navigation operations. We will pass through the straights of Gibraltar navigate to several locations within international waters, and exit The Area as per our operational Orders. We are not involved in any ongoing conflicts, or military operations, we do not intend to engage any forces within the region in direct action. By international conventions, we are allowed to make transit through international waters and along maritime trade routes without interference. Please maintain a safe distance from our vessels to avoid accidental collisions. I have aboard an Emissary from the Republic of Valkiir who can speak for the president and The Republic.

Including several massive cargo ships of their own nation entering and leaving the straight one of the Massive container ship had been on the same course for days and was now maneuvering to get through the strait ahead of the Leviathan its timetable seeming to be more important than a simple Fleet Flagships passage. "This is not the pace we want to have issues."

Almost as on cue the cargo ship began to veer and struck close alongside one of the destroyers. Klaxons, bells, curses and the overwhelming sound of bending steel filled the air. the two ships separated and the destroyer began to signal it had some damage from the collision, as did the container ship.

Within minutes the Destroyer was forced to break formation and veer toward the port sounding an alert and declaring an emergency seeking permission to dock to repair damage and get treatment for several injured sailors. The cargo ship leaked oil for short period then veered toward the port as well a string of Curse in English, Ojibwe, Russ, and other languages filling the air directed to the destroyer, between calls seeking emergency repairs.

To whom is the destroyer's emergency call sent? I'm not sure if it's specific to the nearest port or to everyone in range.

By the way, 3.4 Megawts is the same strength s HAARP and using ionospheric interference to skip signals is about as old as Shortwave itself

using it to amplify a signal would require very advanced computers and some serious hardware... antenna arrays of several kilometers length, and a power generators as big as the engines on a destroyer.

So, your guys will quickly figure out it is an advanced first-world nation sending the signals and they are pretty serious about overcoming simple jamming techniques....but ya did figure out where several of the transmitters are wth that trick

and EVERYONE with a short wave receiver can pick up those new chants.
