Do you have any specific rebuttals to the points raised in the article?

Well, Orphan 55 is what Doctor Who is meant to be like, roughly speaking. I wish the Doctor would take a bit more responsibility for her horrible decisions getting people killed.

Chibnall's script edits are very, uh, evident.

Personally, I feel if they cut out the climate change stuff and trimmed a few little bits it would have been a really good episode. Or if the Doctor never actually learnt how the Earth was destroyed that could have made a good teaser for a future episode.

A fun episode, maybe a bit on the nose with the message but with good reason (in my opinion anyway).

Reminded me a lot of Midnight TBH.

It was very 5th Doctor-ish episode, in that the Doctor doesn't achieve a whole lot, and a bunch of people die.

Yeah, I can sort of see that. Even though Midnight was a mixed I personally liked it even though there was no monster seen.

Also was anyone else thinking these creatures were taken from the Vorcha in mass effect?

Jesus fucking Christ. He never quits, does he? I was actually enjoying this episode. A right spooky episode about running from freaky monsters. Felt like proper Doctor Who. But of course this asshat just can't give it a rest, so he ruins it by hamfisting in an environmental message so unsubtle even Captain Planet would tell him to tone it down.

Fucking Christ, I hate Chibnall.

Yugoslavia's back baby...

How the hell did this happen?
Well...we don't actually know. Just sort of happened one day.
Is it a reunited Yugoslavia in the 21st century? Is a rebel colony world in the far future? Is it a race of cyborg neo-life at war with any assimilating organisms they come across in the far far future? Who knows, who cares?
New Yugoslavia just is.

Nope. And it's never gonna change, cause this fuckface just ignores any sort of review or social media feedback. Course it won't matter soon, cause at the rate his run is losing viewers. it might be cancelled soon anyway.

It'll have to do much worse than that to get cancelled. The people in charge should only really start to be worried if they get less than six million viewers, and start to panic if they get under five million, which even Moffat only managed twice. (On the execrable The Lie of the Land and the uninspired The Eaters of Light.)
