Commission
Karl W. M. Heine
First, a word on terminology. . . .
"The Diarcesian Commission on the Status of Refugees" (the "Commission") is a quasi-judicial body appointed by the Monarch Diarcesian to investigate allegations
of alleged abuses by the Holy Empire of Wochaystein in refusing refugee status to certain aliens. The "Commission" has jurisdiction in that dieresis within the
scope of its mandate granted by the Monarch, and has exclusive power to compel the attendance at hearings of any body politic and to summon witnesses and
produce documents.

"A very large warship, its sails clad in the finest royal clothing, with many rooms on board. The inhabitants of the ship were well-fed and had a good standard of living. However, the voyagers on the Strabben Sea knew better to keep watch for monstrous animals, out of sight of the mainland. These ferocious beings haunt the wilds of the Sea. Their flesh were raw and their minds were filled with pain and misery. A sailor is wise to prepare for the worst."
"For the Strabben, it was a place of great danger. The sea animals were abundant here, and the climate was harsh. But even for a woman, the danger was worth the reward.
"[The captains] of the Briseis were people who had the blood of kings and queens in their veins. They had an iron will and fierce determination. There was no other word for it. It was no doubt a ship of war, commanded by ferocious, reckless men. But unusually, now a woman is at its helm, a leader who possessed beauty and nobility in the eyes of her people, who loved her.
