I'm concerned what a 'giant creature' might be? Is there anything in real life about this sort of thing?Bowzin wrote:The basis of the issue revolves around a city being attacked by a giant creature that is the last of its species. Options will include killing it, trying to capture it and put it in a zoo(depending on zoo policy), or capturing and researching it on rumors it can cure a deadly disease(or something of that sort). Still need to work on another option or 2.

Trotterdam wrote:This doesn't seem like something that comes up much in actual discussions of endagered species conservation. For one thing, if there is only one member of a species left, then it is already functionally extinct, since you need two to reproduce (and considerably more to reproduce without massive genetic bottleneck from inbreeding). For another thing, if a species is so rare that there's only a few of them left, it's unlikely that those few will just happen to be living near cities (not exactly a very attractive environment for most wildlife) and attacking people. Somewhat more likely than attacking people in a city is attacking livestock in a rural farming village, which is an actual issue sometimes, though we've already had at least one draft on the subject (this one is explicitly about endangered species, while this one is tangentially-relevant).

We have an issue about recognition of minority languages (#71), and it just seems like common sense that supporting a minority language would also entail supporting the alphabet that language is written with, assuming it's different from your main language. The Sapmi wrote:Is there an issue involving alphabets? I'm thinking of doing an issue where a linguistic minority uses a different script and are calling for another script to be official.

SherpDaWerp wrote:Got a lot of ideas that I'm working on in the background... and a couple questions to ascertain whether ideas are worth pursuing or not:Thanks!
- Are there any issues that cater specifically to nations with high Political Apathy?
- Is it OK to assume that the age of consent for anal sex is higher than other sex, especially in nations that have only just legalised homosexuality? This might make a good (adult) issue.
- How do the No Sex/Vat-Produced Infants policies work, and is there space for an additional policy of optionality? (so citizens can get kids from the vat, but they can still make their own)
- Are there any issues surrounding AI Citizens driving cars (especially in nations that don't have self-driving cars), or is it pointless given that self-driving cars is already an issue topic?

Is there some way this could be worked into a new issue (perhaps in a modified form, where it only applies to unflushed material and/or to public bathrooms)?
