Remind me where I said he was a saint? He was a hardass who rubbed some people the wrong way for sure. He didn't put up with nonsense, which made him easy to dislike as overly serious, but he shaped the NBA in an overall positive way.

Because they can offer him a 5-year deal in free agency. Sources say he has absolutely no interest in leaving LA. He just wants to get an extra year.

The truth about Russell Westbrook: The Thunder without him this year are equally as relevant as they were with him last year (last year they were 6th in the West. This year they're 7th so far). He's a talented guy, but unless he's leaning heavily on a superstar like Harden or Durant, he's not getting anywhere near a title.
