Lucky Huckster APP

Postby Flarbinia » Sun Dec 01, 2019 7:11 pm

Name: Conroy Miller
Codename: Lucky Huckster
Age: 42
Sex: Male
Appearance: Blonde Hair, Blue eyes. Wears business casual
Biography: Graduating from business school, Conroy Miller began looking for a company in need of talent and found one willing to hire him: Stratton Oakmont. This was the beginning of his criminal career, as he realized that illicit activities can be more profitable than legitimate business. He entered costumed villainy once the firm was shut down, being assigned to the command of the Moray Eel, a low ranking villain. Unfortunately, he was a glorified clerk running numbers for the Moray Eel, taking a small pittance from the small-time scores his boss had to settle for. Conroy eventually had enough of the Moray Eel's ineptitude and penny pinching, accidentally and ironically unleashing his power during the outburst. The Moray Eel, seeing this as an opportunity to rank up, promoted Conroy to full time henchman and promised him a bigger share of the loot. Within six months, the Moray Eel had went from a joke to a breadwinner, Conroy Miller setting up overseas accounts to protect their ill-gotten gains from rival villains. However, this increase in notoriety resulted in him being arrested, the majority of his accounts being frozen, and his henchmen scattering to the four winds. Conroy Miller, having access to his former boss's accounts, closed the ones that were still accessible and used the funds to set up a small base of operations, adopting the moniker of the Lucky Huckster.
Powers: Lucky Huckster can use his telepathy to turn pennies into weapons or armor
RP sample: I Wish I Wasn't In Dixie: "Cattle die, kinsmen die, gods die, and with strange aeons, even death may die. Immortality is a myth. Nothing is eternal." Sean said to the singer as a smirk formed on his face. The singer screeched as she ran towards him on all fours, Sean Rockwell managing to stay ahead of her.

(Answer this as if you were speaking as your villain) -
Describe your abilities: I, The Lucky Huckster, in addition to using pennies as a weapons and armor, have experience as a financier.
Why did you turn to crime: I, The Lucky Huckster, was hired by Stratton Oakmont and figured out that I could make more money from crime than I could legitimately.
Why did you further become a supervillain: Once the company was shut down, I had nowhere to turn but Costumed Villainy, becoming a Henchman for the Moray Eel until he was arrested three years ago.
How do you feel about the Infinites: It is a great place to see how to write Superhero Comedy.
What's your end goal: I, The Lucky huckster, seek to steal enough money to buy a private island, turn it into a resort that acts as a front for my volcano lair, and sit back and rake in the jack.
You've captured the hero/heroine, what happens now: The first thing I would do is to make sure that my foes are properly secured before saying or doing anything. Then, I would lower them into the hot molten lead while my Henchmen keep their weapons trained on them with orders to open fire if they moved.
Do you plan out your monologues or do they just sort of happen: I only monologue when I am certain that there is no way my foe is going to escape from the death trap without being killed.
Let's hear a sample of your evil laugh (the noise you'd make when your plan is succeeding): MUHAHAHAHAHA
Let's hear a sample of your evil roar (the noise you make when your plan is failing): Imagine a lion's roar but smaller
Any lines you won't cross: No killing unarmed civilians and no expecting others to trust me without returning the favor
Would you prefer an archenemy, or would you rather just drift around from rogues gallery to rogues gallery: An archenemy that you are familiar with is easier to deal with than a new stranger every week.

Nice, Flar. Lucky Huckster is ACCEPTED! Welcome to the Infinites! We have a long-running gag here in the Infinites that I prefer to get followed if you would. And that is, your character starts off with the villains group, where they are at, and your character has been with them from the beginning (post 1). Even if you as the player don't always know what's happened. Regardless, your character does. Please post some reason why your character has been quiet all this time that the villains have been acting (since, he technically has been with them).

Also nice! If I may? Lion's roar. How's that?

And the Cast roster is updated, with Lucky Huckster now added.

Just to let you know guys. I have some IRL commitments out of state coming up Thursday and Friday. And a family thing on Saturday. Nonetheless, I welcome any and all posts that come in the meantime. If there are any questions, I will address them before Thursday and after Saturday, OP time.

Ah man. Flarbinia, you didn't want to continue our running gag with your character starting with the villains? Ok. Now I need to figure out if this is the small town savings and loan of Orient (which is probably closed), or perhaps some Hong Kong bank. I'm guessing it's going to be a Hong Kong bank.

We'll get you joined up with the villains eventually, I guess.

I'm going to finish up my other two heroes shortly. Apologies; neither have very much to work off of, and I've been trying to build posts that would encourage responses.
I use my NationStates stats, because a population of billions/trillions and an economy of hundreds of trillions is totally viable, trust me.
But seriously, aside from the population and GDP, just assume that my NS stats are roughly accurate.

Support: Paleo-imperialism, conservatism, libertarianism, Christianity.
Against: Stupid people, resistance to industrial progress, alt-right, any form of government at or beyond socialism.

I hail from The League of Conservative Nations. Hearts unthawed, hearts unshaken!

I gave an opening for Staple Remover Guy to meet up with the heroes. (And I had thought Aubry had gone off to the bathroom, and I was trying to be discreet. I know - hard thing for this RP, right.)

Hey guys.

On the first page, 3rd post, I included a list of favorite characters of mine from all of the Infinites' arcs. I'm allowing requests. If there's a funny character you remember or like from this arc or former arcs, nominate them and if you get a second, I'll update the list. It's for no reason other than that those characters stood out to me. I love and appreciate everyone's characters. You all help make this the best RP on NS (albeit rather slow at times - humor needing to recharge and all that jazz). Some guys have stood out to me more than others. Feel free to take a look at my all time favorites, and don't feel slighted if your character didn't make the list. This isn't meant to criticize anyone - just to share character ideas that made me laugh.

Had an idea for another hero type if someone (or someone new?) is looking for an idea - Slow Moe. Moe gains exponentially in power and strength, the slower he hits someone. Which could make punches very easy to dodge, and could make for some long-running humor if Moe tries to hit someone over the span of about four posts.

Cool that you're writing. What's it about?

The name of the book is called Alpha 5. Archie Gamo is a teenage boy who is prone to bullying following the death of his mother when he was a child and the ability to communicate with spirits. He knows almost every martial art by watching movies about it. One day, he met a hot-headed girl named Megumi Zaibatsu who is a Muay Thai fighter after she saved him from the bullies. She guided Archie to a dojo in a rural area.

There, he met Alexander Brown who is the former disciple of Moto-sensei (or Master Moto) and the leader of an international organization for Superhumans (people born with superpowers). He agrees to teach Archie martial arts as both lost their parents. Archie's dream of becoming the greatest martial artist are yet to come true.

Hey Talchyon, sorry for the relative inactivity from yours truly. I'll be sure to have a post up soon. And also, you mentioned 'hear stupid thoughts' as a superpower one time, since then I've come up with the rather vague idea of a secret police guy who can read minds for dissent.. and only dissent. Not sure what to do with it, maybe I can hand to one of you guys for fleshing out.
NS stats are not used.
This nation does not reflect my IRL views on anything.
Sorry for any mistakes I make with regards to history while roleplaying in historical RPs. Also I am not a qualified historian or academic. None of the make-believe I do is likely to stand up to academic scrutiny.

Not sure about the concept of a secret police guy who can read dissent. That seems a bit too serious of a power and not comic enough.

Couple of things.

Flarbinia - In this, you gotta go back and deal with the attacks. You can't just up and leave. You have to strike back, or somehow deal with it. If the laughing gas guy is doing something, give everyone a chance to react before you make a break for it. Also, somehow, make mention of the attacks your thugs and Lucky Huckster have taken.

Speyland - Grandmaster Yuan has been taken into the villain's car and is riding with them. He doesn't get to do whatever it was that he was doing solo.

Comedy Club APP

Postby Flarbinia » Sat Dec 14, 2019 3:27 pm

Name: Jacob Seymour
Codename: Comedy Club
Age: 28
Sex: Male
Appearance: Wears a gas mask and a blue parka when committing crime
Biography: Jacob Seymour aspired to be a comedian, as it was easy money. However, on his first day of the job, he failed to tell a good joke and was kicked out of the comedy club. Distraught, he headed home, only for a mugger to pull a knife on him. While trying to disarm his attacker, a mist appeared from his fingertips and in mere moments, they were both laughing. Once he realized the power he had, he realized that costumed villainy was the way to go. Unfortunately, like his roomate Baxter, he simply didn't have enough money to become a full time villain, so they decided to hire themselves out to an established villain. Unfortunately, the only one they were qualified to work for an up-and-comer, the only one available being the Lucky Huckster.
Powers: Spraying laughing gas from his fingertips
RP sample: I Wish I Wasn't In Dixie: "Cattle die, kinsmen die, gods die, and with strange aeons, even death may die. Immortality is a myth. Nothing is eternal." Sean said to the singer as a smirk formed on his face. The singer screeched as she ran towards him on all fours, Sean Rockwell managing to stay ahead of her.

Why did you turn to crime: I chocked on stage and there wasn't much I could do with a GED, so once I discovered my power, I signed on with an up-and-coming villain.
Why did you further become a supervillain: I need to network if I hope to make a name for myself in costumed villainy.
How do you feel about the Infinites: A bunch of glory hounds who only fight crime in the hope of gaining a
What's your end goal: I wish to become an independent villain with a henchman army, a lair, and a black and blue costume with a smiley face belt buckle
