Princess Elisabeth arrived at noon in Montreal City Hall’s park area.^[1]

Her two Diplomatic Security officers, Björn and Torsten, looked around the area with sighs of relief. They had normally escorted very important persons, five days a week, in dangerous places outside Yohannes. Looking after Elisabeth in this city of light was like taking a holiday. They flanked her, Björn looking left and Torsten right, presumably to protect her. But Elisabeth was too absorbed in the scene—the charming food stalls, the sidewalk restaurants, and the traffic policemen, escorting young schoolchildren down the street, out of her view.

She was enthralled by this city of light, a very pleasant place in the New Quebec State. When Elisabeth received the Chancellor’s letter, she was told that she’d love her next assignment. The Chancellor was not wrong. Quebec was a neutral state, and Montreal was a very pleasant place to visit.

Elisabeth had purposely dressed herself as plainly as possible. She wore a creamy-coloured T-shirt with faded blue jeans to match her hair and eyes; and she looked at a group of young men nearby. One was staring at her, no doubt not realising there were two Diplomatic Security officers nearby, looking at him just as he looked at her. He was tall, with big thick lips, black curly hair, and wide and inviting brown eyes. Elisabeth smiled at him coyly.

The Germanian Motorcade pulled in front of the Housing and Ballroom. As three heavily armored vehicles drove in front and back. As soon as the armored Limousine pulled in front of the steps. The doors of the Motorcade opened up. And 10 men rushed to the armored. They were wearing traditional German uniforms with their helmets; but the biggest difference of these men was the fact they had masks covering their faces. As soon as they were in position. A man got out of the front passenger vehicle. Wearing a Butlers uniform with a long coat tail. He'd walk briskly; and regally to the front of the door. Before opening the door. A man that was fairly young for a man of his power; rose from the vehicle and placing his cap on his head. While he held the royal title of Viceroy; he preferred to wear the uniform of a soldier. His long leather officers coat had a fur trim from a bear. His butler removed the ceremonial sword from his belt and knelt before the viceroy passing it to him. "Your Sword my Lord." He'd take it and affix it to his person before walking to the front. As he walked the men closest to the building marched forward. They held onto G36A3's as they walked. Ballistic vests and all.

With that remark, their flight landed and they both disembarked.

The ball doesn't start until December 20th (Prone to change). As of yet, only local festival and tourist attractions are available, as well as encounters with other world leaders.

Well, technically you can arrive now and be early to the ball. The ball doesn't begin until December 20th (Date prone to change). For now, guests can tour the city, speak with residents, speak with other leaders, etc. Essentially a royal gathering. You can certainly ask to speak to the Master of Ceremonies or the Chief Conductor if you want to meet with the Premier or Cleric. Various smaller events will be held leading up to the main Ball.

Born Farid Bolkiah on July 7, 1877; he was the eldest son of then crown prince, Ghalib Mansur Bolkiah and Ghalib's first wife, Salwa Masuda Bolkiah. He had seventeen siblings all in all, and entered school at a young age. As soon a he finished his studies at age 29, a marriage was arranged between the young prince and Princess Fatin Jinan Kiram of the Sultanate of Sulu. The princess initially objected to the marriage, but over time the two supposedly grew to be a happy couple. Farid had also been known to have completed his hajj soon after this, and had "Haji" added to his name.

After completing Hajj, the prince was appointed the Governor of Negaraselatan; a large and rich, yet unruly province of Bruneian Malaya. Plagued by separatists formed from Malay settlers who had developed a distinct culture over time away from Malaya, Haji Farid made it his mission to crush dissent and resolidify the empire's hold on the province. He commenced a complete overhaul of the officials that governed Negaraselatan, particularly those rumored to either be corrupt or harbor separatist sentiment; and replaced them with the most fervent Malay nationalists and loyalists from the educated upper class in Negaraselatan. He also began to crack down on certain student organizations in various schools and colleges that advocated greater autonomy or even entertained the idea that citizens of Negaraselatan were culturally distinct, and encouraged the creation of youth organizations that advocated Pan-Malay nationalism and loyalty to Bruneian Malaya instead. Non-Islamic religions, such as forms of animism brought to the lands by Moluccan immigrants, experienced suppression as well alongside native aboriginal belief systems; in an effort to strengthen cultural unity with the Malay Archipelago. Marxism also experienced suppression in Negaraselatan. These policies continued for about four or five more years, when Sultan Raiz Zafar Bolkiah I died and Ghalib Mansur abstained from the throne. This called for Haji Farid to return to Kota Batu and assume the throne as the 12th Sultan of Bruneian Malaya.

Upon assuming the throne, Haji Farid Bolkiah I made sure to replace every major official across the empire; especially those closest to the throne. All of his grandfather's old advisors and officials were immediately dismissed, and replaced with the most zealous and loyal administrators the Sultan could find from his network. He made sure that many of the officials were easily replaced, and had no way of creating income without the gold provided by the Sultan himself. He was also swift to dismantle industrial monopolies, citing market stimulation as reasons for such; although it is suspected that the Sultan simply did not trust having wealthy bourgeoisie have more money than himself. Non-Islamic religious institutions and dhimmi citizens were also taxed heavily, and conversion to Islam was highly encouraged. Languages other than Malay and Arabic were also highly discouraged, and were not taught beyond private universities. Like his predecessor, Haji Farid Bolkiah I also practiced militaristic policies and displayed ambitions to unite Malaya by annexing portions of the archipelago not yet under Bruneian Malaya. However, unlike his predecessor; Haji Farid Bolkiah also expressed a desire to annex the Sultanate of Sulu and annex desired provinces from Ayuthayya, both of which have been historically considered allies of Bruneian Malaya.
