So, George Zimmerman, the guy who was told not to follow someone but did so anyway and then Trayvon Martin died as a result.. is back burnishing his reputation again by filing a USD100M lawsuit against Trayvon Martin's family.

Apparently he feels his reputation was destroyed but also makes some specific allegations..

..that the state’s attorney, Angela Corey, and her team of prosecutors relied on a witness who falsely claimed to be Martin’s girlfriend to testify against him.

He further alleges that Benjamin Crump, the civil rights attorney who has represented Martin’s parents, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, since their son’s death, defames him in Crump’s recent book Open Season: Legalized Genocide of Colored People.

To the first..

The allegations about a fake witness center on a teenager called Rachel Jeantel, whom the lawsuit claims gave testimony as Martin’s girlfriend as “an imposter” for her half-sister Brittany Diamond Eugene, Martin’s “real” girlfriend at the time.

Although the prosector responded..

“This plaintiff continues to display a callous disregard for everyone but himself. He would have us believe that he is the victim of a deep conspiracy despite the complete lack of any credible evidence to support his outlandish claims.”

By continuing he might be referring to the fact that George Zimmerman tried to auction the gun he used to shoot Trayvon Martin to raise funds to fight the cause of Black Lives Matter.

However.. obviously he has a right to do this if he feels he's been wrongly victimised and god knows he's certainly received threats and it's had a major impact on his life.

One year earlier, a violent road rage incident resulted in a Florida man, Matthew Apperson, being sentenced to 20 years in prison for attempted murder after shooting at Zimmerman.

Yet the specific question is not what you think of him but, given criteria, whether you think he should?

I personally think he shouldn't myself, but then I think he should have been convicted for manslaughter so I accept that taints my view.

Trayvon surviving implies that he probably killed Zimmerman because it was Trayvon who assaulted him first.
