World Cup Links: RP | Rosters | Results | OOC Discussion | Signups | Host Bid | BOF 71 |

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to World Cup 84, proudly hosted by Cassadaigua and Baker Park!

This is the official roster thread for the World Cup. If you have signed up for the World Cup, then it is time to inform us of those who will be representing your nation. A typical roster will have a list of eleven starters and reserves, at the very least. It should also include the manager/head coach. You can even feel free to name a complete list of staff.

Roster posts are also the place to provide your national stadium(s) information. Half of your qualifying games will be played on home turf, so this will allow everyone to know about your facilities.

It can also include: formations, strategies/tactics, team background, traditions, kits/jerseys, fans, players' roles, team achievements, nicknames, and anything else you can think of.

Style Modifiers:
Nations are also invited to include a style modifier for their team. Style mods range from -5 to +5. A team that plays offensively, attacking more and focusing on scoring more goals at the cost of defense, should choose a positive style mod (anywhere from +0.001 to +5.0); they will both score and concede more goals on average. Teams that would rather sit back and focus on defense to prevent their opponents from scoring too many goals should choose a negative style mod (anywhere from -0.001 to -5.0); they will give up fewer goals, but will also have more difficulty scoring goals than their offense-first counterparts. For those who want the best of both worlds, or just don't really care to choose one style over the other, a neutral style mod of 0 is the best option. Nations that do not indicate a style mod will be assigned a neutral one.

After the first match day, if a participant wishes to change their style mod to one different from what they initially posted, they may do so by sending the host scorinating their next match a request via telegram. It is asked that participants include an in-character rationale for the change in their TG to the hosts. Nations will only be allowed one style mod change after the first day of qualifying, so choose wisely when asking.

RP Permissions Box
It is also asked that participants include information on what their opponents can and cannot include in RPs about their team by posting an RP permissions box (or its equivalent) with their roster:

Code: Select all
My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:
Choose my goalscorers: Yes/No
Godmod scoring events: Yes/No
RP injuries to my players: Yes/No
Godmod injuries to my players: Yes/No
Hand out yellow cards to my players: Yes/No
Hand out red cards to my players: Yes/No
Godmod other events: Yes/No

Posting a roster for your team will earn you a small RP bonus as well as the gratitude of other nations in your group, since writing match reports quickly becomes boring if one is unable to name any of their opponents' players. If you have any OOC comments, questions, or concerns please post them in the World Cup Discussion Thread or send one of the hosts a TG.

The Hapilopper National Football Team
Image

Full nation name: The Dominion of Hapilopper
Trigramme: HAP
Nicknames: The Thrashers, The Haps
Team Colors: Blue, Green and White

Info:
The Hapilopper National Football Team started off strong. Winning every match en route to Baptism of Fire glory, the Haps found themselves struggling in a hurry. After coming so agonizingly close to qualifying for its first World Cup, the team struggled mightily in the ensuing Cup of Harmony, and the less spoken about their run in the last AOCAF, the better. The team has retained some of its original talent, while picking up some new ones. Regardless of how badly some of its recent performances have gone, however, the general consensus is that the team's future looks bright.

MANAGER/HEAD COACH: Thom Perkins
Perkins, 54, was recently named the manager of the national team, and is known for his ability to rally a team together. The former manager of The Soldiers, Perkins rallied the troops together a year ago to help The Soldiers score the HFA Championship. Perkins likes to rely on an attacking form of football, and will likely rely on the 4-2-3-1 formation for most of the time. Perkins has come under fire for what has been an unfortunate run of luck, particularly in the last AOCAF, and for some incidents involving the Under-21 team. Regardless, Perkins is still seen as the best guy that could lead the HNFT in these troubled times.

Perkins's staff includes:
ASSISTANT MANAGER: Buddy Martinez
ASSISTANT COACH: Charles Waters
GOALKEEPING COACH: Duke Wright
TRAINER: Marc James
TECHNICAL DIRECTOR: Jim McNeil
PHYSIO: Russ Oliver

Typical Lineup:
Image

The Fans:
Typically, Hapiloppian fans, including the members of the "Traveling Thrashers" supporters group are among the wildest fans in sport, and promise to be exactly that for the World Cup. Expect to see fans dancing along to 1970s funk music, slamming drums as loudly as possible, waving their flags, and throwing streamers for every Hapiloppian goal. Hapiloppians like to have fun and they'll find ways to get under the opposing team's skin, within reason, of course. They travel well, they make the most of it, and they'll make your World Cup a memorable one, in a good way.

Stadium:
Capital Stadium, Hapilopper City, Hapilopper
Built: 1970 | Seating Capacity: 66,025 | Open-Air | Artificial Turf
Image
(Pictured: Capital Stadium in baseball configuration)
Capital Stadium, Hapilopper's de facto national stadium, is the last of Hapilopper's classic cookie-cutter venues, used for a variety of applications, including the Hapilopper City Nationals baseball team, the Hapilopper National Baseball Team and is the home of the Hapilopper National Football Team. As is custom with cookie-cutter stadiums, the park is completely symmetrical and is surrounded by multiple decks of stands, typically filled with screaming fans when the home team is doing well. Back in the 1970s, the HC Nationals, and their vaunted "National Machine" dominated Hapiloppian baseball, and brought over four million fans through the turnstiles on six occasions. Hapiloppian fans have vowed to come to Capital Stadium in force for HNFT games.

Uniforms:
ImageImageImage
From left: The team's primary kit, the secondary kit and the goalkeeper's kit.

These uniforms, as seen here, are the HNFT's designated regular season kits. Should Hapilopper, by some miracle, make the knockout stage of the World Cup, the team will unveil a gaudier, livelier uniform for its team to wear. These uniforms, the "playoff specials," are a Hapiloppian sports tradition, and a tradition held very dear since the early 1970s when the West Hampton Royals introduced the "playoff special" to the Hapiloppian sports culture.

TYPICAL STARTING PLAYERS:

Image
#1 | Rod Hughes | United Hampton Cities | Goalkeeper
Rod Hughes has been named the starting goalkeeper for the HNFT after Cooter Harris was drummed off the team following a series of high-profile incidents during the last World Cup cyle, culminating with a full-fledged meltdown during the first match of the AOCAF. Hughes did just fine for himself, thank you very much, and is expected to be the team's top keeper for some time to come.

Image
#2 | Kendrick Ayers | Capital City United | Defenseman/Right Fullback
The first of several new players on the HNFT Senior Team, Kendrick Ayers was a crucial member of Hapilopper's Under-21 squad that came very close to winning the Di Bradini Cup its first time out. Ayers, 20, is the youngest member of the Capital City United team, a team that finished 4th in last year's HFA Championship. Ayers, last year's HFA Rookie of the Year, was seen as one of the important pieces of the CCU puzzle, stopping offensive efforts with impunity.

Image
#3 | Colin McLain | Hapilopper City Highway Patrol | Defenseman/Left Fullback
Colin McLain, the Highway Patrol’s left fullback, is one of the more aggressive players in Hapiloppian football, and one of the more temperamental players, too. McLain will tackle players with impunity, regardless of if the player actually has the ball, or if he’s going for the ball. McLain is known for his rivalry with the team's striker Ernie Stevenson thanks to several high-profile incidents that have happened in Highway Patrol-Soldiers matches. With Stevenson's sale to Nepharim side Leichhardt, that rivalry is expected to cool down somewhat.

Image
#4 | Paul Dibble | Juavi FC (Valanora) | Defenseman/Centerback
One of the "Hapilopper Ten" that wound up going to international clubs during the transfer window, Dibble was originally selected to the HNFT before the last World Cup Cycle but an ACL tear put paid to those plans. Dibble is known to be a fiery defenseman and will not think twice about putting himself in card trouble - or even at risk of injury - to stop an offensive effort. Dibble plays bass guitar for a band, "The Yellow Cards" in his spare time with several other defensemen.

Image
#5 | Nathan Ellis | Southfell United (Nephara) | Defenseman/Centerback
Nate Ellis, Southfell United's ill-tempered centerback, was, believe it or not, the first of the "Hapilopper Ten" to get transferred, in spite of the hype surrounding other players. Ellis is an aggressive defensiveman, but is known just as much for fits of anger, most notably earlier this year when he suplexed Vermillion Rage team captain Isabella Cassadore in a fit of rage in the middle of Vermillion's 5-0 drubbing of Southfell United.

Image
#6 | Fernie Fairburn | Surrey Perimeter College | Defensive Midfielder
20-year old Ferdinand Fairburn, whose friends - and his many girlfriends - call "Fernie", is another of those players that ran roughshod over the competition, for the most part, during the last Di Bradini Cup. Fairburn is the only member of the HNFT senior team not tied down to a professional club team, declining to sign with a team while he completes his studies at Surrey Perimeter College. Fairburn majors in business administration at SPC. His parties at his Kensley Hall dormitory are rumored to be the stuff of legend.

Image
#7 | Auggie Burton | Hapilopper City Soldiers | Defensive/Central Midfielder
August "Auggie" Burton is the third Under-21 player to make it to the senior team. Burton impressed many with his performances during the Di Bradini Cup. Burton was primarily used as a central midfielder, but can be pushed to a defensive slot if more convenient for a team's tactics. Ranked #2 in H-Sport's "100 Young Hapiloppian Athletes To Watch" last month, ahead of Team Blue's newest NSSCRA driver Taylor Henderson and behind Claire Randall, the darling of the Under-21s.

Image
#8 | Murray Hunnisett | Istria City FC (Banija) | Central Midfielder
Murray Hunnisett, the younger brother of former HC Nationals star third baseman Leroy, is another of the "Hapilopper Ten" that got picked up by an international team. Hunnisett now plays for Banijan side Istria City, where he has reportedly enjoyed the change of scenery very well in comparison to life in Hapilopper City. Still one of the key pieces of the HNFT, and a crucial piece of the national team's midfield.

Image
#9 | Steve Erickson | United Hampton Cities | Playmaking Midfielder
Steve Erickson of United Hampton Cities is a playmaking midfielder and striker, but is being used as an offensive midfielder for the national team. Erickson scored 15 goals last year for United Hampton Cities, but is unfortunately known for his tendency to “simulate” injuries at convenient times that may draw penalties. In other words, he’s a flopping jackass. Erickson's flopping has raised the ire of opponents and has been closely watched by HFA officials, who have vowed to strike out diving at all levels as the sport grows in Hapilopper.

Image
#10 | Bobby East | FC Kaiserhaven (Siovanija and Teusland) | Attacking Midfielder
Bobby East, the quiet attacking midfielder for FC Kaiserhaven, was one of the crucial pieces of Garvinson's infamous "Midnight Express" that won them last year's HFA Championship before that team was broken up in a fire sale last year. Known as "Beautiful Bobby," East is known for saying very little, letting his play on the field do the talking, but is also known for being one of the nicest people in all of Hapiloppian sport.

Image
#11 | Ernie Stevenson | Leichhardt (Nephara) | Center Forward
Ernie Stevenson, the younger brother of racing driver Drake Stevenson, is one of the top strikers in all of Hapiloppian football, and it was his prowess last year against Brenecia - scoring three goals against one of the top 10 teams in the world - that got the ball rolling for Hapiloppian players getting discovered by international clubs. Ernie wound up getting signed by Leichhardt, who finished 10th in the First Division of Nepharim football last year, one of the top football leagues in the multiverse.

TYPICAL BENCH PLAYERS

Image
#12 | Claire Randall | Clayton City Ladies FC (Baker Park) | Center Forward
The darling of the Junior Haps, Claire Randall came, saw and conquered with numerous goals during the last Di Bradini Cup. Her prowess during the DBC led to her turning pro and signing with Clayton City Ladies FC in the Commonwealth of Baker Park, and is expected to be one of the top Hapiloppian athletes for years to come. The first woman to play on the HNFT Senior Team, Randall is expected to be a strong replacement for Ernie Stevenson should that become necessary.

Image
#14 | John Cornett | Gladerial United (Valanora) | Center Forward
John Cornett, Garvinson’s foul-mouthed striker, is one of Hapilopper's ten players that got transferred out to international football teams. Formerly the leader of Garvinson's "Midnight Express" Trio, Cornett is known for his vile temper and his poor behavior, such as that time he threatened to attack a referee with a beer bottle.

Image
#15 | Patrick Morris | Pinkerton City SC | Forward
Pat Morris, one of Pinkerton’s top strikers, scored 23 goals last year, but was put #3 on the striker’s depth chart due to the diving of teammate Rufus Weeks. Morris is a threat from primarily the right side of the pitch, and defenders would be very smart to trap him on the left side, as his usefulness typically goes downhill very quickly on that side of the pitch.

Image
#16 | Stan Long | United Marietta (Xanneria) | Playmaking Midfielder
Stan Long, one of Garvinson’s “Midnight Express” trio, is the more charismatic of the two Midnight midfielders. Long, a creative playmaking midfielder, will elude defenders any day of the week and twice on Sunday as he sends the ball to John Cornett for a Trojans goal. Reportedly has a black belt in karate.

Image
#17 | Brandon Herbert | Peoria City FC | Midfielder
Hybrid defensive-offensive midfielder Brandon Herbert is a multi-purpose threat for Peoria City. He can either stop an attack or he can start one. How he plays depends on the players he’s with, and Peoria City is not known as one of the top teams in the HFA Championship. However, experts agree that their poor standing is in spite of Herbert, not because of it.

Image
#18 | Steve Swindlehurst | Raceway Football Club | Midfielder
Steve Swindlehurst, who can be placed anywhere ahead of the midpoint of the field, is a strong midfielder for Raceway Football Club in Buckridge. Swindlehurst actually scored two goals last year in incredibly lucky circumstances, one from 55 yards out when nobody was paying attention.

Image
#25 | Clive Blackburn | Hapilopper City Soldiers | Defenseman
Clive Blackburn, a right fullback for The Soldiers, is a strong defenseman and will likely be named as a constant bench player, eligible to be subbed on. Blackburn, 29, is one of the more efficient defensive players in Hapiloppian football.

Image
#28 | Donnie Armistead | Hapilopper City Highway Patrol | Defenseman
Don Armistead, left fullback for the Highway Patrol, will also be considered as a bench player to be subbed on. Constant injuries have plagued Armistead’s career, and this alone has placed a question mark on his playing time.

Image
#32 | Nick Seward | United Hampton Cities | Defenseman/Right Fullback
Nick Seward, the right fullback of United Hampton Cities and of the national team, is one of the strongest defensemen in all of Hapiloppian football. His tackling ability from the right side of the pitch helped get UHC out of a few unfortunate situations, but unfortunately, that same tackling ability can go too far, as Seward is known for getting in card trouble. In fact, he was suspended twice last year due to yellow card accumulation, and unfortunately, it happened when UHC needed Nick the most.

Image
#34 | Scott Dukes | Kingsland Warriors | Defenseman/Centerback
Scott Dukes, one of two centerbacks for the national team, is the Kingsland Warriors’ top defensive man, but he typically plays on the left side of the pitch. Dukes has been asked to move to the center position, and has been extensively practicing from the center of the pitch. Once one of the cleanest defensemen in Hapiloppian football, Dukes has turned up his aggression to new levels. Dukes lost the starting centerback position for this year's World Cup cycle as the HNFT attempts to improve its lot in life.

Image
#46 | Pancakes Taggart | Capital City United | Defensive Midfielder
Poor Pancakes. Pancakes Taggart, considered by Hapiloppian media to be "the meat and potatoes" of the HNFT during the last World Cup Cycle, was relegated to a bench role for a variety of reasons, including the fact that the HNFT had seen a better player at that position in Fernie Fairburn. Pancakes, however, has vowed to stay on the team to be one of the top substitutes on the national team.

Image
#60 | Colt Delaney | West Hampton Sports Club | Goalkeeper
Colt Delaney is the third-most efficient goaltender in Hapiloppian football, registering one goal allowed per 141 minutes last year. Delaney, however, has been also plagued by injuries and his playing time could be non-existent.

Image
#75 | Eli Tyrrell | Surrey United | Midfielder
Eli Tyrrell was added to the Hapilopper National Football Team following the injury of Kelvin Beverly and the promotion of Doug Morse to a starter's role. Tyrrell is a roughhousing midfielder and can take the ball away just as well as can run with it. Eli is also known to be one hell of a scrappy player and will try to find a way to make a starting lineup or two based on will alone.

The Wreckerian National Football Team
Image

Full nation name: The Reformed Republic of Wreckeria
Trigramme: WRE
Nicknames: The Bulldogs
Team Colors: Orange and Black

Info:
It's been a long time since Wreckeria fielded a national team for World Cup qualifiers. 54 cycles, to be exact. Since then, Wreckeria has gone through decades of civil war, strife and general unpleasantness. Recently, those leading the nation's two warring factions have decided that "enough was enough" and have agreed to a truce, but how long will this truce last? A group of Wreckerians, led by businessman David Simmons, have started the Wreckerian Football Association with an intention of bringing Wreckeria to the glory they thought they could have had, had the nation not gone into 54 years of strife, brought on by the assassination attempt of President John Adler.

MANAGER/HEAD COACH: Marvin Byrnes
Byrnes, 36, like Simmons, has attempted to present football as a way to unite Wreckeria and get away from the decades of violence and infighting that has plagued the nation. Byrnes, who used to play for Sporting Milwood Town before the Wreckerian Premier League collapsed 10 years ago, was a star striker for the team. Now, he's just hoping his fellow Wreckerians can pull off a miracle in the World Cup. Byrnes will focus on a neutral style of play for the World Cup, and will rely on the 3-4-3 formation for most of the time.

Byrnes' staff includes:
ASSISTANT MANAGER: Abner Crewe
ASSISTANT COACH: Nick Donaldson
GOALKEEPING COACH: Quentin Joyner
TRAINER: Charlie Garner
TECHNICAL DIRECTOR: Darrell Glazier
PHYSIO: Gabriela Petrescu

The Fans:
A small group of Wreckerians have vowed to make the trip to whatever nation will play host to the Wrecks during the World Cup Qualifiers. There's not many of them, but they're passionate and want to present as positive image of their land as they can. They'll be there to cheer on their fellow Wreckerians, some of whom they fought in battles with. While Wreckerians will want to present as positive of a picture of their nation as possible, they do like to have fun, and they look to make your World Cup as enjoyable as possible.

Stadium:
Patrick Stadium, Halsted, Wreckeria
Built: 1958 | Seating Capacity: 30,000 | Open-Air | Natural Grass
Image
Built back in the late 50s for the Halsted State University football team, William Patrick Stadium in Halsted wound up becoming the nation's de facto national stadium after the nation's original national stadium, Wreckeria Stadium, was blown up by the True Wreckerians after they thought it to be a outpost for the Party of Pride. Patrick Stadium has seen better days, but the Wreckerians are in the process of fixing the stadium up so it can look about as nice as can be for the World Cup qualifiers.

The Players:
(Starting players in green, typical subs in red)
GOALKEEPERS:
## POS Player
1 GOL Harold Leslie
21 GOL Florence Northrop
22 GOL Carey Atwater

The goalkeeping squad is led by Harold Leslie, a native of the capital city of Halsted. Leslie was found by the Wreckerian Association of Soccer in a pick-up game of soccer with his friends, when he was seen fending off the challenges of a number of attackers. Leslie's close friends, Florence Northrop and Carey Atwater were signed as well.

DEFENDERS:
## POS Player
2 DEF Scott Murphy
3 DEF Cash Brewster
4 DEF Aaron Boatwright

12 DEF Emerson Danielson
13 DEF Francis Hayward

14 DEF Hayden Derryhouse

Scott Murphy, a native of Minortown, was picked up by the WAS after ruthlessly taking down several attackers in a pick-up game. Brewster, a native of Halsted, was a member of the HFA team from Pinkerton in Hapilopper for four years. Boatwright, meanwhile, has played on a number of amateur soccer teams in Wreckeria for about a decade or so. Said to a pretty decent individual.

MIDFIELDERS:
## POS Player
5 MID Mike Hamilton
6 MID Gerald Heath
7 MID Sig Justice
8 MID Cale Wyatt

15 MID Sid Clifton
16 MID Riley Pratt

17 MID Kelsey Camerson

Michael Hamilton and Gerald Heath are defensive midfielders, while Sig Justice and Cale Wyatt are the team's offensive midfielders. All four are top amateur players in Wreckeria. Sig Justice is rumored to be a huge fan of softball and has been rumored to skip out on league matches to play softball. Sig denies these rumors.

FORWARDS:
## POS Player
9 FWD Claude Tindall
10 FWD Darcy Carman
11 FWD Oliver Bloxam

18 FWD Scott Boatwright
19 FWD Hunter Bell

20 FWD Viv McKinley

Claude Tindall, Darcy Carman and Oliver Bloxam were picked as the team's leading forwards after a shoot-out with the other forwards on the team. All six players could concievably start at one point or another. Boatwright, who is not related to Aaron Boatwright, will likely sub with Hunter Bell.

PINK FLOYD FC

Image

Pink Floyd FC
Nickname: Floydians
Formation: 4-5-1
Style mod: +5

Kits:

Pink Floyd FC don't have an uniform and never will. Players are allowed to wear what they want, like clothes from the sixties, a gown or even play football naked (Gerald actually play naked).

About Pink Floyd FC:

Pink Floyd FC is a football team founded in the late '60s in Cambridge by tortured rock star Pink Floyd and his friends. Soon they hired Pink's overprotective mother as a head coach.

Club record: 8-4-9

Baptism of Fire 68: 1-0-2
World Cup 81: 7-4-7

Venue:

Pink Floyd FC is playing it's home game at Grantchester Road, a rugby field located just south of Cambridge in the Grantchester Meadows.
Hear the lark and harken to the barking of the dog fox
Gone to ground
See the splashing of the kingfisher flashing to the water
And a river of green is sliding unseen beneath the trees
Laughing as it passes through the endless summer, making for the sea

The stadium holds around 1250 spectators.

Here's a map of Cambridge and the surroundings. It's actually a replica of Cambridge located on the Dark Side of the Moon:

Image

The red dots between Cambridge and Grantchester are the Grantchester Meadows. To the north, in red, it is The Wall. The ground is yellow because it's located on the Dark Side of the Moon.

If your nation don't have the technology to land on the Dark Side of the Moon, just ask Dan Dare and he'll pick up your players, journalists and fans aboard his spaceship (capacity of 100 people). Dan Dare just finished exploring Jupiter and Saturn, Oberon, Miranda and Titania
Neptune, Titan
Stars can frighten

Schedule:

Not now John

Staff:

Head Coach: Pink's Mother

Mama's gonna make all your nightmares come true
Mama's gonna put all her fears into you
Mama's gonna keep you right here under her wing
She won't let you fly, but she might let you sing
Mama's gonna keep baby cozy and warm
Ooh baby, ooh baby, ooh baby,
Of course mama's gonna help build the wall

Formation (4-5-1):

S-------------------------------------PINK FLOYD------------------------
ACM---------------------EMILY--------------------------------------------
SM------GERALD----------------------------------------LUCIFER SAM---
DCM-------------ARNOLD LAYNE-----JENNIFER GENTLE--------------
SB------HENRY McCLEAN---------------------------------ALAN---------
D---------------------EUGENE--------GRIMBLE GRUMBLE---------------
GK---------------------------THE SCARECROW---------------------------

Starting XI

GK: The Scarecrow

The black and green scarecrow as everyone knows
Stood with a bird on his hat and straw everywhere
He didn't care

He stood in a field where barley grows

LB: Henry McClean

Hey Eugene, this is Henry McClean
And I've finished my beautiful flying machine
And I'm ringing to say
That I'm leaving and maybe
You'd like to fly with me
And hide with me, baby

CB: Eugene

Careful, careful, careful with that axe, Eugene

Luckily, Eugene have been forbidden to bring his axe onto the field.

CB: Grimble Grumble

A gnome named Grimble Grumble
And little gnomes stay in their homes
Eating, sleeping, drinking their wine
He wore a scarlet tunic,
A blue green hood
It looked quite good
He had a big adventure
Amidst the grass
Fresh air at last
Wining, dining, biding his time
And then one day - hooray!
Another way for gnomes to say
Hoooooooooray

RB: Alan

Alan isn't playing well in the 1st half but at the halftime he's cooking his psychedelic breakfast and eating it. Then he's one of the best player on the field in the 2nd half. He can share his psychedelic breakfast with the opposite team if they wants to.

Oh, um, flakes, oh... Then, uh, I don't know
Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, tomatoes
Toast, coffee. Marmalade, I like marmalade
Marmalade, I like marmalade
Porridge is nice
Any cereal, I like all cereal

DCM: Arnold Layne

Arnold Layne steals female clothes and wear them on the football field.

Arnold Layne had a strange hobby
Collecting clothes
Moonshine washing line
They suit him fine
On the wall hung a tall mirror
Distorted view, see through baby blue
Oh, Arnold Layne

DCM: Jennifer Gentle

Jennifer Gentle plays football on a broom kinda like those who play quidditch.

Jennifer Gentle you’re a witch
You’re the left side
He’s the right side
Oh, no!

ACM: Emily

Emily tries but misunderstands, ah ooh

You'll lose your mind and play
Free games for may
See Emily play

Put on a gown that touches the ground, ah ooh
Float on a river forever and ever, Emily

LW: Gerald

I know a mouse, and he hasn't got a house
I don't know why. I call him Gerald
He's getting rather old, but he's a good mouse

RW: Lucifer Sam

Lucifer Sam, siam cat
Always sitting by your side
Always by your side

That cat’s something I can’t explain

Jennifer Gentle you’re a witch
You’re the left side
He’s the right side
Oh, no!

S: Pink Floyd

Pink is a tortured rock star, his father was killed in the war and he has an overprotective mother. The school system didn't help when he was a kid, and his wife cheated on him when he was an adult. Then, he build a figurative wall around him to isolate himself from the rest of the world. You can see he's pretty much different in the 2nd half than he was in the 1st half:

(1st half)

So ya
Thought ya
Might like to go to the show
To feel the warm thrill of confusion
That space cadet glow
Tell me is something eluding you, sunshine?
Is this not what you expected to see?
If you want to find out what's behind these cold eyes
You'll just have to claw your way through this disguise

(2nd Half)

So ya
Thought ya
Might like to
Go to the show.

To feel that warm thrill of confusion,
That space cadet glow.
I've got some bad news for you sunshine,
Pink isn't well, he stayed back at the hotel
And they sent us along as a surrogate band
We're gonna find out where you fans* really stand.

Are there any queers in the theater tonight?
Get them up against the wall!
There's one in the spotlight, he don't look right to me,
Get him up against the wall!
That one looks Jewish!
And that one's a coon!
Who let all of this riff-raff into the room?
There's one smoking a joint,
And another with spots!
If I had my way,
I'd have all of you shot!

A Pink Floyd FC player died before the first game was played:

GK: Effervescing Elephant

the tiger came and said: "Who me?!
You know, I wouldn't hurt not one of you.
I'd much prefer something to chew
and you're all to scant." oh yeah!
He ate the Elephant

Folmara has well prepared for the qualifications, by scheduling friendlies with other nations, as well as with region mate Plai Nukchai yesterday, which ended in a 5-2 victory, with a brace from Chlodowig, and a Hat-trick from Feroardus, as well as two hard fought goals by Plai Nukchai's Ruang Suk Jivacate, and Thanid Pureesrisak. Despite the fact that Folmara's domestic league is yet to take shape, the king has boosted the process, and is set to have four seasons gone by the time of the 2nd Hozo World Cup in 1925.

The Stadium to be used is the Stade de Ragnac, which has a capacity of 65,000.

TEAM INFORMATION
WC Record: 123-33-39 (wins/draws/losses), 430 scored, 246 conceded
Overall Record: 161-47-56 (wins/draws/losses), 592 scored, 362 conceded
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Style Modifier: +1.5
Denonym: Chromatik
Nickname: The Anomalies
Venue: Capitalizt Dome, Chromatk City, Chromatika (144,000)

CURRENT TEAM INFORMATION
A valiant effort from the Chromatiks, who needed to survive a Playoff Group Stage to make it to the World Cup Proper. Then... they went 0-0-3, gave up fifteen goals, and crashed out. This led to Silian Parker and Jillian Nier both calling it quits, the recent AOCAF being their last cycle. The Chromatik Football Federation, recently freed from the lawsuits that have plagued it, went and grabbed a foreign Manager for the very first time. This cycle's goals will be very simple - return to the Knockout Rounds of the World Cup.

MANAGEMENT

MANAGER
Image Konrad Evans, 50 WC Record: 0-0-0 Overall Record: 0-0-0 Debut Cycle: 84
Formerly of Corvette Maulers and Crisisbless United, Konrad Evans is the polar opposite of the Manager that Silian Parker was, being a motivator more than a tactician. Signed to a three-year initial term by the Chromatik Football Federation, Evans has actually been present at all the press conferences. The journalists of Chromatika have been shocked to get to speak to the Manager at all. Evans has been cautiously optimistic yet confident, paying reverence to the importance of Chromatik football to the country, but excited to get back onto the pitch and put the focus on returning to the Knockouts of the World Cup Proper.

ASSISTANT MANAGER
Image Katherine Everdeen, 39 Debut Cycle: 84
Formerly an assistant manager and scout for Appleoosa HC in the United League, Katherine Everdeen is a former Equestrian international who earned 26 caps as a forward for the Ponies during her career. Her younger sister, Elaine, has been far more successful as a player, but it has often been said that Katherine had a better approach to the mental side of the game. Everdeen has taken to get to know the players on a first name basis, and with the pair deciding on a fifty-person contingent, there's been a lot of work to do.

TEAM PHYSICIAN
Image Zoe "Z" Benne, 34 Debut Cycle: 80
After graduating summa cum laude from Chromatik City College University with a degree in Sports Physiology, Zoe, affectionately called "Z" by her peers, worked at the Capitalizt Dome until the CFF came calling. Strikingly beautiful and fit, nobody would question her if she put on the uniform herself and went out on the pitch; her physique definitely belong out there. Smart, calculating, and personable, there were actually some concerns about her becoming a visual distraction to the players, which were shot down quickly by her professionalism and integrity. That being said, the Chromatik locker room will be... a bit more spicy than before. The players have done an admirable job of keeping things professional between them, which has allowed her to perform her duties without a problem. It is hard to believe that the team didn't have a physio for a long time. Now rumored to be dating a now-retired Erika Morningstar - much to the conservative Chromatik media's chagrin - "Z" has really settled into her role.

PLAYERS

GOALKEEPERS
1. Mia Ria, 26 | Image Cassandra City | 5 ft 10 in| Caps: 50 | Goals Allowed: 58 | Debut Cycle: 77
12. Nova Williams, 26 | Image Chatswood | 6 ft 7 in | Caps: 15 | Goals Allowed: 11 | Debut Cycle: 80
23. Ferret Tioux. 22 | Image Sabrefell Athletic | 6 ft 3 in | Uncapped | Debut Cycle: 84
34. Finn Nichols, 23 | Image Tyrysier | 6 ft | Uncapped | Debut Cycle: 84
The time is finally here and now for Mia Ria. Forever in Nier's shadow - Nier had been around since WC 74, it's now her turn to be in the limelight. Shorter but having all the intangibles, but she's now even signed with Cassandra City of Cosumar, and is chomping at the bit to have a go at the world. That being said, Evans' decision to field a fifty-man roster is working against her, not that she is willing to show that. Nova Williams is now the second-string keeper. Williams is a solid communicator and leader in the locker room, and starting her career in the Nepharim Premiership in Chatswood. She also has the height to give opposing would-be scorers fits. Ferret Tioux (don't laugh at the name) is an understudy at Sabrefell Athletic who is learning behind Echani star Aurelian Gautier, learning the set piece game. Tioux has great anticipation and reflexes. Finn Nichols had a rough stint in the first season for Tyrysier, but he is someone who knows how to be a pure shot stopper. He shone in some spots as Tyrysier stayed in the SuperLiga.

RIGHT BACKS
2. Aoife Ruth, 29 | Image Miare CosmoStars | 6 ft 4 in | Caps: 31 | Debut Cycle: 80
13. Olivia An, 31 | Image Hokuto Rangers | 5 ft 11 in | Caps: 26 | Debut Cycle: 79
24. Zheide McBee. 27 | Image Raikennax Charge | 6 ft 4 in | Caps: 31 | Debut Cycle: 79
35. Kai Xiao, 23 | Image Farrenton Athletic | 6 ft 2 in | Uncapped | Debut Cycle: 84
One of the concerns of the offseason was that the duo of Aoife Ruth and Olivian An would not find any teams to play for. Thankfully, the Hinodejin clubs came through, and both the pacing back of Ruth and the physical presence of An will have clubs to pay for. Olivia seems to be absolutely returning to the fold of focusing on football after the recent burial of her mother, but may be emotionally vulnerable. Zheide McBee has turned out to be an aerial specialist who lacks many of the other skills that would turn her into a regular starter, but she deserves a spot on this roster. That being said, the future seems bright for one Kai Xiao, the big, lumbering back who is basically a younger, male Erika Morningstar. Morningstar is rumored to have tried to talk Xiao into playing for Urrheddiao in the upcoming season of the Rainbow System, but he has decided to go to Farrenton Athletic. Chromatika needs a long term solution at right back.

CENTER BACKS
3. Henri de Aea, 22 | Image Holdenberg | 6 ft 7 in | Caps: 36 | Debut Cycle: 80
4. Yeri Ibex, 30 | Image Chenoworth Rovers | 6 ft 1 in | Caps: 33 | Debut Cycle: 80
14. Kattie Will, 24 | Image Raynor City United | 6 ft 2 in | Caps: 14 | Debut Cycle: 79
15. Cierra Anderson, 25 | Image Vermillion Rage | 5 ft 4 in | Caps: 33 | Debut Cycle: 79
25. Nicole Friedman, 26 | Image Alissar Phoenix | 6 ft 4 in | Uncapped | Debut Cycle: 84
26. Theodore Rondeau, 24 | Image Franscisca Orient | 5 ft 9 in | Uncapped | Debut Cycle: 84
36. Giles Ken, 22 | Image AC Holmenkollen | 6 ft 3 in | Uncapped | Debut Cycle: 84
37. White Baugh, 23 | Image Hokuto Senateurs | 6 ft 11 in | Uncapped | Debut Cycle: 84
Henri de Aea is the tall and stocky center back, he of a master of the air and a sure tackler. Well-spoken, de Aea has stated that he loves this opportunity to play with so many other backs and continue his game. Yeri Ibex seems to be on his way out with the table of backs behind him, but still brings some speed and solid marking. Behind that line, Kattie Will is now on a loaded Raynor City United team, trying to add more to her arsenal of Luuk Aart's school of frustrating strikers, while Cierra Anderson remains flexible, being able to play both center and left back. Anderson is the best crosser of the bunch, though the shortest. Nicole Freidman is very good off of set pieces, especially corners, while Rondeau is a stocky man who can make a mean tackle. Making their debut this cycle will be Giles Ken, a solid aerial defendder who can keep up with most attackers who has strong intangibles, and White Baugh, a spitfire enforcer who does not shy away from contact.

LEFT BACKS
5. Valence Ilya, 27 | Image Eastweald | 6 ft 5 in | Caps: 42 | Debut Cycle: 79
16. Aysu Damjana, 34 | Image Vermillion Rage | 6 ft 7 in | Caps: 106 Goals: 1 | Debut Cycle: 75
27. Miles Austic, 26 | Image Barbury Town | 6 ft 2 in | Caps: 20 | Debut Cycle: 80
38. Jarret Rowles, 23 | Image Diamondqueen | 6 ft 4 in | Uncapped | Debut Cycle: 84
45. Derron Nocturne, 23 | Image Ziemelu Skaida | 6 ft 3 in | Uncapped | Debut Cycle: 84
Valence Ilya has really blossomed into one of the cornerstones of the Chromatik defense. Now fully entrenched in Eastweald, this is his defense to take over. The tall, coachable lad has blossomed into an in-game leader who knows how to tackle, pace, communicate, you name it. Damjana the beanstalk provides the reliable backup leadership presence in the backfield, and will be instrumental in how Xiao grows. The time seems to be running out on Miles Austic to determine if he is the player the Chromatiks are looking for - he has decent pace, a good head, and solid jumping skills, but seem to lack the "it" factor. Behind him, are two hungry youngsters in Jarret Rowles the colorblind player who is an inspiration and a master of microagression and Derron Nocturne, he of amazing game sense and a knack of being at the right place at the right time to stop shots from crossing the net.

DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDERS
6. Alyss Montague, 33 | Image Brinesmouth | 6 ft 7 in | Caps: 121 Goals: 22 | Debut Cycle: 75
7. Enigma Armageddon, 22 | Image Club Valanora | 6 ft 2 in | Caps: 40 Goals: 10 | Debut Cycle: 80
17. Kai Dias, 27 | Image Port Patrick United | 6 ft 3 in | Caps: 5 | Debut Cycle: 83
18. Drew Limones, 26 | Image SC Rinaldi | 6 ft 1 in | Caps: 17 | Debut Cycle: 80
28. Delilah Anisov, 26 | Image Crossroads | 6 ft 8 in | Uncapped | Debut Cycle: 84
29. Keeley Avis, 27 | Image Urrheddiao | 5 ft 9 in | Uncapped | Debut Cycle: 84
39. Nevin Ingalls, 32 | Image Z'ai'ai | 6 ft 2 in | Uncapped | Debut Cycle: 84
40. Min-Seok Kim, 22 | Image FC Flen | Uncapped | Debut Cycle: 84
Konrad Evans's strategy needs two defensive midfielders, which adds a new wrinkle that the Chromatiks have never had. That did mean that those playing center midfielder previously had to figure out where they would fit, and this is where everyone has ended up. Alyss Montague returns for her ninth cycle, she of the field experience and quality shots. Montague has never been one to shy away from contact. Elevated to the starting lineup is Enigma Armageddon, the one-eyed field general who calls out plays on and off the field. That tandem will be the brains on the pitch. Kai Dias was the best defensive midfielders in the CCFA, and now he will have even better chances to shine. Delilah Anisov, Keeley Avis, and Nevin Ingalls are three journeymen who have been waiting for Chromatik domestic league to return. Anisov has no concept of tiring, Avis has a great first touch, and Ingalls isn't special but well rounded. Rounding out this bunch is Min-Seok, twin to Mi-Jung, a fundamentally strong youngster.

RIGHT WINGERS
8. Kaytlyn Victoriane, 28 | Image Mallox | 5 ft 8 in | Caps: 107 Goals: 73 | Debut Cycle: 77
19. Molly Thorben, 26 | Image Crystal Fair HC | 5 ft 10 in | Caps: 57 Goals: 6 | Debut Cycle: 79
30. Whitney Kelly, 27 | Image Cornellians | 5 ft 11 in | Caps: 29 Goals: 7 | Debut Cycle: 79
41. Laure Etienne, 30 | Image Brentford Ladies FC | 5 ft 11 in | Caps: 40 Goals: 3 | Debut Cycle: 77
The striker pool in Chromatika has been deep for so long, and now, they get to play the positions that they want. Kaytlyn Victoriane was always a winger in Lammerton, and now, the second player to ever reach one hundred goals for Chromatika gets to play her native position. Behind her is the duo that keeps playing and pushing each other - Molly Thorben the possessive midfielder and the speedster of Whitney Kelly. Rounding out this group is Laure Etienne, whose contribution is measured mostly off the field. She is a reliable backup who has a steady rate of pay and quick wit that leads to rapid decision making.

ATTACKING MIDFIELDERS
9. Hermaeus Mora, 23 | Image Club Stein-los | Caps: 42 Goals: 2 | Debut Cycle: 79
20. Mimi Kuzami, 26 | Image Cedina Beach AFC | Caps: 49 Goals: 7 | Debut Cycle: 79
31. Victorina Bird, 26 | Image Ibini FC | Caps: 15 Goals: 12 | Debut Cycle: 80
42. Miranda "Lightning" Gail, 27 | Image RGS Athletic | Caps: 33 Goals: 13 | Debut Cycle: 79
46. Herlinda Sterling, 26 | Image New Island | Uncapped | Debut Cycle: 84
49. Mi-Jung Kim, 22 | Image FC Flen | 5 ft 11 in | Uncapped | Debut Cycle: 84
A new position in this formation, a few strikers have also moved over to this one. Hermaeus Mora is a risk taker who knows when to be flashy, while Mimi Kuzami is the blazing speedster. Victorina Bird had a solid tournament in World Cup 83, and gets the nod as the third attacking midfielder - she has strong work ethics and is looking to get better every single match. Miranda Gail, the Lightning, has hit a bit of a snag as of late, having been left off of the latest AOCAF roster after a troublesome bout with her ankle. She is still an in-your-face striker, though. Rounding out the attacking mids is Herlinda Sterling, a solid contributor in New Island of the Schottic Premier League who has the pace and creativity to make a splash, and Mi-Jung Kim, a recent college graduate who knows how to lurk and then pounce when it matters most.

LEFT WINGERS
10. Jazmin Dragana, 31 | Image Brinesmouth | 5 ft 11 in | Caps: 87 Goals: 17 | Debut Cycle: 76
21. Retta Conrad, 26 | Image Creed United | 5 ft 9 in | Caps: 22 Goals: 10 | Debut Cycle: 83
32. Ga-yeong Han, 25 | Image North Laithland | 5 ft 3 in | Caps: 24 Goals: 1 | Debut Cycle: 79
43. Xi Xe, 28 | Image FC Samotath | 5 ft 4 in | Caps: 30 Goals: 13 | Debut Cycle: 79
47. Andréa Croix-Pierre, 22 | Image Willox Street Pirates | 6 ft 7 in | Caps: 17 Goals: 5 | Debut Cycle: 80
50. Sylvie Reynolds, 23 | Image Galatica | 6 ft 2 in | Uncapped | Debut Cycle: 84
Retta Conrad's rise to fame has been rather sudden, scoring ten goals in the last twenty-two matches. Conrad is a shoot-first winger who will now be allowed to be even more aggressive. Ahead of her at least is Jazmin Dragana, who took the AOCAF off, emerging having adopted her niece after her sister passed away due to a car accident. This is the eighth tournament for the wily veteran, her calling card being knowing when to switch from the defense to the attack. Ga-yeong Han continues to soldier on, small, fast, quick, and playing with a chip on her shoulder. Xi Xe may be running out of time as well, but she can also provide the speed needed. Andréa Croix-Pierre? Still on the roster, knowing how to use both feet and head to make plays. A stable of speedsters who will dictate the pace of the game, the Chromatiks seem set here.

STRIKERS
11. Keira Andisori, 30 | Image Cassandra City | 5 ft 3 in | Caps: 144 Goals: 111 | Debut Cycle: 75
22. Rowena Sierra, 27 | Image Aries Chariots | 5 ft 7 in | Caps: 35 Goals: 20 | Debut Cycle: 79
33. Olimpia Vidal, 24 | Image Cazadores Cathair | 5 ft 5 in | Caps: 30 Goals: 18 | Debut Cycle: 79
44. Beaunia Andisori, 26 | Image Rozelle United | 5 ft 2 in | Caps: 22 Goals: 19 | Debut Cycle: 79
48. Kristian Non, 23 | Image Alliance Barossia | 5 ft 9 in | Uncapped | Debut Cycle: 84
With the strategy shift, this position purely exists now to just score goals. That's not a problem for Keira Andisori, the leading goalscorer in Chromatik history who has recently switched teams to Cassandra City. Andisori remains the true #1 for Chromatika. Rowena Sierra's Aries Chariots career continues to chug along, and the supermodel-turned player has a knack of being at the right place at the right time. Olimpia Vidal is a born finisher, Beaunia Andisori is a mainstay on the roster now, and a solid teammate, and Kristian Non is the most recent CCFA player of the year who makes up for his lack of speed with creativity, finesse, and a great spin move.

Set Piece Taker: Hermaeus Mora, Keira Andisori

Head Coach: Andriy Shevchenko | Prussia FC Image | Age 55 | Preferred formation 4-4-2 |
The amount of skill Prussia FC has Andriy Shevchenko led them to a 5-4-5 season, failing to qualify for playoffs. He has done wonders for this in-experienced Bliujian squad in the past; such as leading them to the quarterfinals in BOF 70 with a 5-0-1 record. Despite all that he has tried new formations with the team that have not worked out. Which means he will be sticking with the 4-4-2.

Assistant Coach: Mauro Tassotti | Lakewood Image | Age 39 |
Led Lakewood 6-3-5 last season.

Assistant Coach: Andrea Maldera | North Shore Legends Image | Age 36 |
The only female on this squad. Before you accuse the country of Bliuji for hating women that is not true at all. Andriy Voronin has not recruited women because he is afraid of players having sex during practice. Overall she is a very good coach.

General Manager: Andriy Voronin | Hamza Coast Image | Age 24 |
He makes all the moves, on and off the field if you know what I mean. And no that was not a sexual related joke. (It actually wasn't he is a single man and always has been)

Team Analyst: Volodymyr Onyshchenko | holvah.com Image | Age 26 |
A recent graduate from Prussia University. Responsible for analyzing team game play to help the coaches strategist. Also known to make very good waffles during team breakfast. Currently working with the popular Bliujish website "holvah.com" making 6 figures a year; life is good for this young handsome man.

Goalkeeping Coach: Pedro Luis Jaro | Prussia FC Image | Age 45 |
Back in '89 he played amateur soccer. Got a ton of offers from top tier clubs and never made it because of a serious knee injury that still hurts him till this very day. So he decided to sign with Prussia FC in 2007 for a coaching position, crazy how that turned out for him.

Fitness Coach: Ivan Bashtovyi | North Field Image | Age 37 |
Was an absolute star during high school soccer where he attended Waterford Prep. Became a free agent, and got signed to North Field where he played 2 seasons then dropped out because of family issues. Still a "decent" soccer player till this day might I add. Went back to school for 2 years and got his degree in fitness. Now finds himself again on North field as a fitness coach for them.

Starting 11

GK: Andriy Pyatov | Lake wood Image | Age 24 |
The notorious Bliujian goalkeeper has been in this position ever since the team started competing at the international level. Holding a 83% save percentage and a 1.22 gaa, he has proven that he is able to compete with the best in the world. And things wont be changing anytime soon for the 24 year old

DF: Lawrence Biryukov | Odessa Sound Image | Age 26 |
There's nothing special about Lawrence other than the fact that he is also a "veteran" player much like Pyatov is. He has great defensive ability and passing ability, the only thing he lacks is speed.

DF: Karp Yuriev | Prussia FC Image | Age 20 |
When someone talks about Bliuji's defense Karp Yuriev is the first player to pop up into their head. He is the heart and sole of this defense. Not to mention he is the strongest on the team and has outstanding passing ability and a "shutdown" defense-men.

DF: Lenoid Ozerov | Hamza Coast Image | Age 21 |
Lenoid Ozerov took the starting position from Tim Kolesnikov after his amazing preformance in the IAC 8 and Bliuji's pro league. Known for his extremely passive and calculated playstyle, makes him unique from the other defense-men and is even giving Karp Yuriev a run for his money if he keeps up the great performance.

DF: Roman Aksakov | Backwoods Image | Age 29 |
He literally has good chemistry with whoever you put him with, he is just "that guy". Also has very good man to man coverage and can clear the ball in high pressure situations. Nothing really special about Roman though.

MF: Sviatoslav Vasiliev | Backwoods Image | Age 24 |
With Sidor Alexandrov retiring, Erik Belov needed an amazing replacement and that's exactly what he got. Sviatoslav Vasiliev is the number one ranked player in Bliuji's pro league and leads the league in goals with 7. However he has no international experience.

MF: Vitaly Aksakov | Prussia FC Image | Age 23 |
The competition to make Bliuji's starting 11 for WC84 was tough and Vitaly Aksakov was one to make it. He has pure mechanical skill and is not known for having a smart playstyle.

MF: Gabriel Kolesnikov | Prussia FC Image | Age 23 |
Another veteran player, known to be a defensive midfielder. He can still play aggressive when he needs to and overall has good skill.

MF: Erik Belov | Prussia FC Image | Age 24 |
Erik Belov is by far the best player on this team and some might even argue he is one of the best midfielders in the entire world. He has amazing shot accuracy and power, not to mention he is fast as all hell. Let's not forget he is amazing at creating chances for his team mates, which explains why he has the most assists on the team.

FW: David Izmaylov | North field Image | Age 29 |
Izmaylov was selected because of his amazing chemistry with Daniel Lyskov. These two players go hand in hand. During the IAC, the staff tried out other combinations of forwards that just didn't work out. We do know that Izmaylov does not have good mechanical skill but is known for having a very smart and creative play style which helps him outplay opponents who are better than him.

FW: Daniel Lyskov | Backwoods Image | Age 20 |
Daniel Lyskov is known for his extremely aggressive play style, which explains why he leads the team in goals. Not much else to say about Daniel.

Bench

GK: Philip Tretiakov | Odessa Sound Image | Age 20 |
One of the "better" goalkeepers in Bliuji, still developing and has a lot of potential.

DF: Tim Kolesnikov | Backwoods Image | Age 22 |
Lost his starting position to Lenoid Ozerov, Still one of the best defenders in Bliuji

MF: Nikon Kotov | Prussia FC Image | Age 23 |
Known for a calculated and passive play style. Doesn't have extremely good offensive ability; but rather a playmaker.

MF: Erast Bezrukov | Odessa Sound Image | Age 21 |
Pure good skill, wasn't selected in the top 11 for chemistry reasons.

MF: Kyle Gordon | North Shore Legends Image | Age 21 |
Similar player to Bezrukov.

FW: Spartacus Yuriev | Odessa SoundImage | Age 21 |
Another good Bliujian forward on the come up. Only seems to play well with Yefremov though.

FW: Philemon Yefremov | Lake wood Image | Age 23 |
He is Spartacus Yuriev's duo partner. Both have good skill and both weren't chosen because they don't play well with Bliuji's current midfield.

FW: Xanderikek Miles | Waterford Bandits Image | Age 19 |
Him and Carl Mackwood are dangerous together. Both were products of the U-18 national team and were immediately signed to Waterford FC in the BSL

FW: Carl Mackwood | Waterford Bandits Image | Age 19 |
Tied for leading the BSL in goals with 7. Extreamly good shooting ability and speed. Still developing though.

Roles
Captain: Erik Belov
Assistant Captain: Karp Yuriev
Assistant Captain: Daniel Lyskov
Corner Kicks: Vitaly Aksakov & Nikon Kotov if Vitaly Aksakov is not on the field
Free Kicks: Daniel Lyskov & Spartacus Yuriev if Daniel Lyskov is not on the field
Penalties: Erik Belov, Daniel Lyskov, Sviatoslav Vasiliev, Spartacus Yuriev, Philemon Yefremov, Gabriel Kolesnikov and Carl Mackwood.

Hand out red cards to my players: No

Cory Greenwood M C, Ulsa Rovers [EUR], b. Natanel, Lupinissa (age 28) - 12 caps, 1 goal
Ball-winning defensive midfielder with above-average athleticism. His game is to win the ball and pass it off to a more creative teammate.

Matthew Lister ST, CS Saint-Rémy, b. Vickery, Conryia (age 28) - 46 caps, 19 goals
The archetypal target-man, a prolific scorer when he's on form, but tends to be a streaky player.

Can freeze the defence with his excellent close control.

Has a powerful shot and a better first touch than most, but can be lacking in composure sometimes.

Records and history
Honours: Cup of Harmony 43 champions

Stadiums
Qualifying matches will rotate between three stadiums. You may choose which one if you are the first to RP the match, but Kirkenes is generally preferred.

Exhibition Place, Kirkenes (cap. 38,600)
Home of Kirkenes FC and recently renovated to include roofs and a standing section of 3,200 on the southwestern corner section. Kirkenes is the largest city in Kelssek and has a 540m observation/broadcasting tower. It hosted the Cygnus Cup final not too long ago.
Kirkenes is the biggest city in Kelssek, a huge and bustling multicultural metropolis. The city's character comes through in neighbourhoods like Little Ariddia, Bathurst Gardens, and Lancaster Hill. Fashionable boutiques and other opportunities for bourgeois consumerism are located in the Rosewood area. The 540-metre Panopti Tower is an iconic landmark, the St. Jude Market is a good stop for fine foods or a quick meal, Melbourne Square and Caron Street are where to go out, and the Museum of Global Civilization is pretty cool to learn about history and cultures and stuff. The Loyalist Fort National Historic Site is where the enemies of the revolution holed themselves up. The city also has a lively microbrewery scene. See also the street map, and the TComm Subway.

Stadium Konoha, Burnaby (cap. 54,400)
Home of Kelssek’s most notable soccer club Burnaby SC. Retractable roof and strings of pretty LED lights, access via Stadium B-Train station. An unusual feature of this stadium is the jumbotron suspended above the playing surface.
Burnaby is the centre of Kelssek's 3rd-largest metro area with a population over 7 million, nestled between the mountains and the shores of Lake Konoha. The city and its surroundings is a mecca for outdoor sports especially skiing, mountain biking, and climbing. A walk along the Seaforth Park Trail promises spectacular views of the mountains, lake, and the landmark Sanoqua Gate Bridge. Junction Beach was Kelssek's first clothing-optional beach and its adjacent Khatsalano neighbourhood was a focus of the new-age counterculture.

Kingswharf, Breton (cap. 42,700)
Home of Shearwater FC and located across the harbour from central Breton, which makes for some nice establishing shots on TV.
Breton (Breçan in French) was founded as a military fort and the ancient Breton Citadel, which occupies the hill overlooking the city, is its main landmark and tourist site. Its large natural harbour is today used as the largest base of the Kelssek Navy, and the city's naval heritage is a major feature of Shearwater, the district across the harbour from central Breton adjacent to the base. Breton also has a large student population as home to three major universities: Dartmouth University, Saints University, and the University of Haligonia. Attractions include Granville Square, Keefe's Brewery, the Maritime Museum of Kelssek, and the deliciously fresh seafood offloaded at Dartford Market.

Fan culture
Kelssek's national teams are nicknamed the Voyagers in reference to the fact that major international tournaments are practically always in a different region and many time zones away (unless Kelssek is hosting it, of course).

A relatively recent tradition is the singing of "Maybe Tomorrow" at kickoff:
Voyagers, they keep on calling me
Down the road, that's where I'll always be
Onward Kelssek, the shout from everyone
Step by step, fighting on, till glory's won
Maybe tomorrow, our journey will be done
Until tomorrow, we'll just keep movin' on

Tune: "Maybe Tomorrow" (Littlest Hobo theme song)

Stadium Information
Main Stadium: Libira National Stadium (capacity: 68,000)
Other stadium used: Dreamers Park (capacity: 55,000)

Both stadiums are located in Fiskadaha City, within city limits. Libira is a stadium reserved for the national team, and is only used for main matches such as Cup Finals, or the Semi-Finals of the home leg of the international club competitions, etc. Dreamers Park, on the other hand, is the home of Fiskadaha FC, the capital's home club. It is one of the 3 major fields around Poafmersia (other than Warriors Stadia and Red Mudra Lane) that utilises artificial turf.
For visitors to Poafmersia, Poafmersia is widely considered as a conservative nation, and having just opened its doors to the world, foreign visitors might find themselves subject to questions from locals. Regardless, fans are very welcoming of foreign teams, and they are very supportive of the local football teams, as seen by the numerous rivalries in club football, and people's unexplainable craze over football.
Within Fiskadaha City, private vehicles are banned, so visitors, locals and even football teams are expected to take public transport around the city within the city limits. (Even the President takes the underground and buses between his official residence and the Parliament House, knowed in Pomish, the official language, as Rasal Ridimag. Only foreign diplomats are allowed to get private vehicles with special conditions, such as being allowed only in Fiskadaha City and Mancodas city limits, as well as areas with no car restrictions. Mancodas and Fiskadaha are the only two cities with embassy areas.)

Fans
Poafmersian fans are crazy about football, and their loud cheers ring about in the stadiums they visit. They are very willing to disturb the peace in the area to celebrate their win after matches, so matches are best held in the afternoon or early evenings. Apart from that, they do pick up after themselves, and prevent causing much trouble apart from celebrating. You can be assured, however, that they would be traveling around to support their team, so do reserve half the spots in stadiums for them because they would pack it to the brim.

NOTE TO THOSE RPING A GAME VERUS XANERRIA

Xannerian Football is played differently than most countries. For one it is hyper offensive with most teams using either 4 or 5 forwards who run directly at the goal with balls being passed only when necessary. Defense is even more alarmingly different as Xanneria RARELY calls penelties on diving (unless injuries occur) and its actually common for players to attempt to bump other players out of the way, granted this is also heavily moderated (Shoving a player with your hands is a penalty and shoving a player perpendicular to you is also a penalty). International players are trying to surpress excessive brutality, but sometimes in the heat of the game they forget. So feel free to have some of my players get Yellow carded for aggressive play.

World Ranking: 114 (pre-BoF 71)
Manager: Takra Resak + Halle Kram
  • Style Mod.: 4
  • Pref. Formation 3-5-2
  • Alt. Formation: 3-4-3

Tamgu Squad

    Goalkeepers
  • Sami Felter* (GK, N91, A22) New first choice goalkeeper after controversy with Estogas leading him to get ejected out of the squad.
  • Sona Galitas (GK, N52, A31) Old member of the national team who's having a second wind.
  • Hert Yonyi (GK, N35, A27) nothing special, third goalkeeper.

    Defenders
  • Dano Teilar* (CB, N2, A26) a strong and tall centre-back that excels at headers and sending the ball up the pitch.
  • Pate Konar* (CB N3, A27) another strong and tall centre-back, is the best tackler the country has seen in decades.
  • Eren Postas* (CB, N4, A23) the young star has been rising up in the recent years. POTM of the Tamguna League in November.
  • Marke Larsin (CB, N65, A24) reliable defender that could very well be playing in the first 11.
  • Dano Lekser (CB, N41, A28) a solid backup.
  • Dünser Yakem (CB, N42, A25) great player, but he gets benched for postas a lot.

    Midfielders
  • Sayken Ilko* (CM, N8, A30) Free-kick specialist, also a great passer. Captain.
  • Canke Elak (CM, N31, A27) Nothing special, but very strong.
  • Yann Ulsima* (CM, N88, A19) Wonderkid that has shown good performances in club and country. Has earned his place in the first XI.
  • Uruke Mantes (CM, N12, A24) Recently got back into form and back into the national team roster.
  • Aleida Leima* (CAM, N10, A25) An all around number ten. quick, good passer, good shooter, has great vision.
  • Halku Orantez (CAM, N17, A31) Another talented number ten, but he is past his prime, can't stay on the pitch as long as he could before.

    Wingers
  • Tanel Tayman* (LM, N7, A27) talented and quick dribbler, makes a lot of assists.
  • Enzo Amor (LM, N77, A21) A failed wonderkid, very talented but doesn't have a professional attitude, plays because nobody else can.
  • Reki Reizo* (RM, N20, A28) Technically strong right midfielder that is good at shooting and long passing, doesn't dribble as much as Tayman.
  • Egan Duman (RM, N61, A26) A carbon copy of Reki Reizo, can be swapped and nobody would see the difference.

    Strikers
  • Ante Nekir* (ST, N9, A24) Striker that can fire rockets with both feet. has good movement to make up for his lack of pace.
  • Paletar Soros* (ST, N11, A25) Tall aerial threat. has great chemistry with Nekir.
  • Federik Umar (ST, N21, A29) Quick striker, doesn't get played much since he can't link up with Nekir.
  • Uras Timider (ST, N88, A22) A supersub, can be really effective off the bench but can't play 90 minutes.

Starters have * next to their name.

National Football Team of Schottia

World Cup 84
Cassadaigua and Baker Park

------------------------------
Manager: Raven Cullen 65 Image
Assistant: Merry Osbourne 42 Image
First Team Coach: Richard Dachs 40 Image
First Team Coach: Darren Hanlon 45 Image
First Team Coach: Sophie Gilmour 52 Image
Gk Coach: Jeremy McNott 41 Image
Physio: Claire Hanson-Conavacio 47 Image
------------------------------

On the whole, Raven Cullen looks like a solid choice as manager. Given the state Schottic football finds itself in right now, the Brenecian is probably as good a manager as they could have hoped for. The 65-year-old has already taken two ‘less-glamorous’ footballing nations to the World Cup in the form of Anglatia and her native Brenecia, but Schottia could be her toughest challenge yet. Four years with Handon side, Kings Park, will have given her a good overview of the Schottic game, and this likely helped seal the deal for the FA. Her fast paced, pressing style of play will probably ensure an easy transition for the Schottic squad who were used to that under Lionel Mah. However, given the dearth of any real self belief in the side, it will be Cullen’s ability to motivate players that is most needed. Third place at last summer’s Copa Rushmori will have also inspired confidence in Cullen’s ability to make progress in the short and medium term.

Cullen has been reunited with Merry Osbourne, who served as her assistant during her time at Kings Park. The former Lammerton and Kingsgrove striker has only ever worked under her countrywoman, and this is her first taste of international football as a player or a coach. Richard Dachs and Darren Hanlon are also familiar faces, having played under Cullen at Kings Park. Hanlon is no stranger to the Schottia set-up, having won 42 caps, mostly during Jane Gullie’s time in charge. Dachs, by contrast, had a pretty unremarkable playing career, but by all accounts is a highly promising coach. Sophie Gilmour worked with the Port Christopher branch of the national performance academy, and her coaching style is largely compatible with what Cullen is trying to do. Jeremy McNott was brought in as goalkeeping coach under Jock Sonny, and seems to have done enough to keep his place on the staff list. The longest serving member of the team, Claire Hanson-Conavacio, is an unsurprising inclusion as physio.

Squad information
Cullen as now had a Copa Rushmori campaign - meaning six competitive matches - to try and get her head around this side. It will have been lost on no one (least of all her) that Schottia currently have an issue with defending. This was exacerbated by raft of injuries and retirements, which left the Brenecian with very little wriggle room at the back. In the forward areas, however, the team have generally performed oaky, and the current three-up-front system has been able to hurt even the bigger teams. Depth has always been an issue for Schottia, and given the number of players who’ve made themselves unavailable during and after the hiatus, there will be question marks over their ability to perform consistently over a long WCQ campaign.

Cullen is putting a lot of faith in the new centre-back pairing of Michael Koller and John Hare. This is an area of the pitch that Schottia really need to sort out, and if the two of them fail to hit the ground running, then there could be trouble. While both play at a high level domestically, they only have eight caps between them, and that’s not what you want to see at international level. It’s a problem throughout the entire national pool, with young centre-halves, Joel Kamara, Harvey Roseroot, and Kara Lyndonton only chipping in another four caps in total. This issue is less pronounced in the wingback areas, with Rian Corello and Bonnie McGillivray having had good regional competitions. Trying to get forward in these wide areas has been a feature of the team’s play under Cullen, and that is also reflected in personnel she has called up. Louis Hornern, Dawn Morham, Lene Kiefer, and Beat Colgan can all take the game to opposition and that will prove important over the campaign. The Goalkeeper position if one of the few that picks itself with V-League star, Ed Lorrey, starting to look composed between the sticks. Pirates stopper, Cooper Granely, will hope to win his first cap at some point, and there is also a surprise call up for Holdenberg City’s Will Lewis.

Despite the fact that midfielder Evelyn Conjure continues to make herself unavailable, there are no real headaches for Cullen in this department. Crisisbless’ Maeve Bronte is the kind of defensive midfielder any side would be happy to have, and her inclusion will help gloss over any aforementioned defensive frailties. Keeping her fit will be key, because while Porty’s Colin Loweson can fill in there, he doesn’t have that same top league experience. Camile Soria Luna was Schottia’s best player at the Regionals, and her move to Pasarga will have likely helped, following a difficult few years in Farfadillis. In terms of which player the manager selects to partner her, she has a straight choice between Dilon Bánach and Valentine Roxel. When it comes to energy and drive, you would choose the latter all day long, but Bánach has far more international experience under her belt. Luna isn’t a natural central-midfielder however, and it will be interesting to see how Cullen copes with this, and whether she’ll be tempted to hand chances to James Inescourt or Rosy Donaldson. There is also the option of bringing in someone like Thomas Still of Seyda Artîn, but it’s unclear if the manager is willing to comprise experience for shape.

All things considered, Corinne Martel-Burns probably had her best Schottia campaign at the Copa Rushmori. She adapted well to Cullen’s system, there were no head-in-hands moments, and the little striker looked well up for it. If the Directus star can hold a true course then she’s exactly the kind of player they need to lead the line in a campaign like this. While none of Schottia’s other strikers possess the same star quality, there are other decent options out there. Ross Renshaw is a reliable number nine, and Jack Jevđenijević has matured into a good striker in the ANL. There are other interesting options in the form of Keeva Crowe and Jonte Bestatter who have both done very well at Port Sebastian and Tanrısal respectively.

Is it a 4-3-3 or is it a 4-5-1..? The debate will rage on. One thing for certain though, is just how important the wide forwards have been to Schottia under Raven Cullen. Bastion’s Jack Avelione is the current golden boy, and with his ability to play anywhere along the forward line, be brings flexibility as well as a real goal threat on the left flank. On the right, Reay Cnocstanger seems to have nod at the moment, and the Pirates winger contributes much in terms of raw pace. Schottia also have two of their rising stars in this position, Kelly McInnes and Annlaug Larsen. There is most certainly an argument for moving Avelione more central and trying to squeeze McInnes in on the left, given the impact she made in the Copa Rushmori.

Kits

Home--Reverse--Away

The kits for the most recent cycle are designed by Schottsport of Schottia
----------------------------

Full Squad
Players considered as key, by the current manager

1. GK. Ed Lorrey, 27 | Image Mliona-Lpaka AFC | Height:189cm Weight:77kg | Caps: 11 Goals: 0
The last line of defence in more ways than one, Lorrey is Schottia’s one true international quality keeper in this new generation. After breaking into the first team at Dundee aged just eighteen, he was quickly snapped up by Lammerton, before moving to the V-League shortly before the hiatus. The twenty-seven-years-old is a tall yet agile keeper, who has a (nice) habit of pulling off saves at critical moments.

2. RB. Rian Corrello, 31 Image Treason Height: 176cm. Weight: 66kg | Caps: 17 Goals: 0
Rian Corrello loves a robust tackle the way Gary Corsie loves a strawberry. This no-holds-barred right-back started her career at Christopheran Porty, where she was part of their golden generation, before making a big money switch to the Willox Street Pirates. She became a key player for the now defunct Port Christopher national side under Jim Reid, before catching the eye of Nepharim Premiership heavyweights, Treason. Corrello has always been a lean, powerful wingback, but her pace has suffered over the last eighteen months. She’s past her prime, but still and important player for club and country.

3. LB. Bonnie McGillivray, 24 | Image Mliona-Lpaka AFC | Height:175cm Weight:65kg | Caps: 11 Goals: 0 C
McGillivray shot to fame back in Schottia at the age of eighteen, when she was given the captain’s armband at relegation doomed, Snubbeak Rock. The youngster displayed tremendous grit and leadership, as she fought bravely but failed to avoid the drop. Despite a number of Schottic clubs clambering for her signature, McGillivray opted for the sunny shores of Turori, joining up with Mliona-Lpaka AFC. The 24-year-old is a solid, standard left-back, and a natural leader who had been long marked out as a future Schottia skipper. You know what you get with her, passion and leadership.

4. L/CB. John Hare, 27 | Image Ramusok United | Height:187cm Weight:73kg | Caps: 7 Goals: 1
Jock Sonny’s former prodigy at Ramusok is going to be absolutely vital to Schottia’s success in the short and medium term. A reliable central defender, in his prime, with top league experience - players who fit Hare’s profile are thin on the ground for Raven Cullen. He was thrown in at the deep end during Schottia’s Copa Rushmori run, and the former Handon United and Coast defender rose to the challenge.

5. CB Michael Koller, 29 | Image Corett Hawks | Height:194cm Weight:83kg | Caps: 1 Goals: 0
Glistening in the sun, Koller’s shining dome of a head will be a comforting sight Ed Lorrey in the Schottia goals. Injury prevented the Hawks defender from receiving a call up for the regionals, and the defensive mess in resulted in isn’t worth talking about. There’s nothing fancy about the former Leichhardt man, he’s a big, bruising defender, who does the simple stuff well and clears up in the air.

6. DM. Maeve Bronte, 33 | Image Crisisbless | Height:175cm Weight:65kg | Caps: 25 Goals: 0 (Caps: 91 Goals: 2 for Port Christopher)
Bronte is your bog-standard defensive midfielder. She does all the unglamorous stuff, all the mopping up, and plays the sensible pass. She’s rather good at it though, and her abilities have won her much praise at both Crisisbless and previously the Pirates. Bronte is a player who allows others to play. Her style might not be easy on the eye, but hers is a name other midfielders are delighted to see on the team-sheet. The 33-year-old proved to be crucial for Cullen in Pasarga, but ominously, she’s more or less the only player in the squad who can play in that role.

8. CM/CF. Dilon Bánach, 29 | Image Lonngeylin Coast | Height: 171cm. Weight: 63kg | Caps: 62 Goals: 8
One of the stand-out performers from the golden age of SPL football, Bánach will be best remembered in a Handon United jersey, playing for Jane Gullie’s all conquering side. When she moved to Vilita, it was rumoured to be for a Schottic record fee of $40 million, almost unheard of at the time. Her value and profile never seemed guaranteed her a place in the starting line-up under Mah, but the agile little midfielder has been a key figure since Schottia’s return to competitive football.

10. AMC. Camila Soria Luna, 28 | Image CA Paulinthal | Height:176cm Weight:65kg | Caps: 89 Goals: 29
Camila Luna's career has been nothing if not eventful. She first made the headlines aged thirteen, after pledging her allegiance to Schottia as opposed to her island of birth, Port Christopher. On the park she has turned heads for all the right reasons, however, picking up a U15WC winners medal before going on to win her first cap aged only eighteen. Having already played in Schottia, Dainer, Vilita, Farfadillis and Pasraga, Soria Luna brings a wealth of experience to the team, and was arguably the side’s best player during their run to the semi-final of the Copa Rushmori. As an attack-minder playmaker, she’s normally more comfortable pushed a little further up the pitch, but the CAP star has adjusted well to the three in midfield system.

11. RWF. Reay Cnocstanger, 23 | Image Willox Street Pirates | Height:177cm Weight:60kg | Caps: 10 Goals: 3
There was a lot riding on the shoulders of young Cnocstanger, as she was thrust into the starting line-up upon Schottia’s international return three years ago. With her blistering pace, she’s been terrorising defenders for a number of years, but recently, we’ve seen her add a little more to her game. Schottia have never been blessed with an abundance of natural right-wingers, so this is a real chance for the Pirates girl. Good performances in the SPL and the DIT have seen her handed a chance to impress, but she’ll need to work hard if she wants to stay there.

7. ST/AMRLC. Jack Avelione, 25 | Image Bastion | Height:188cm Weight:80kg | Caps: 31 Goals: 15
Jack Avelione has always had a lot to live up to; given the standing his father and uncle both have within Schottic football. That said, the 25-year-old has already surpassed the achievements both, given the fact that the previous Avelione generation never managed to cut it in one of the Multiverse’s top leagues. The Bastion attacker can play anywhere across the front line, and combines speed and trickery, with a physicality that makes him hard to defend against. Avelione is arguably the only true “World Class” player in the current NT set up, and keeping him injury free is going to be important over the next few cycles.

13. FC Corinne Martel-Burns, 29 | Image Directus | Height:173cm Weight: 66kg | Caps: 123 Goals: 99
Few players in Schottic football have ever achieved the infamy as CMB. High profile disputes with managers, assault charges, and a constant battle with mental illness has resulted in the striker commanding a lot of column inches for the wrong reasons. Despite her off field troubles, Martel-Burns’ ability has never been in doubt, topping the goal scoring charts in the now-defunct Q-League, aged just seventeen. After leaving Quebec she struggled a little for consistence, with mixed fortunes during stints in Ceni and Chromatika before completing a $40 move to Directus. Internationally Martel-Burns has been utterly prolific, homing in on the hundred goal mark by the age of twenty-five. She looked like she was dead and buried after an explosive fall out with Jock Sonny two years ago, however, she was resurrected under Cullen, and put in a superb shift at the Regionals.

Substitutes

23. GK. Cooper Granely, 28 | Image Willox Street Pirates | Height:189cm Weight:81kg | Caps: 0 Goals: 0
Granley has been with the Pirates all of his career, but only took over the gloves three years ago. As keepers go he’s very good, but probably not one you would call outstanding. Granley is undoubtedly a safe pair of hands, but has the Pirates’ recent domination to thank for his inclusion.

22. RB. Louis Hordern, 31 Image Handon United Height: 181cm. Weight: 72kg | Caps: 57 Goals: 1
An important player for Schottia in the past, who stuck it out with Handon United throughout the UICA boycott. The 31-year-old is a steam train going down the right flank, and is the kind of full back who can juggle defensive responsibilities, alongside getting forward to support the attack. Hordern is United through and through, and resisted several offers back in the day, staying with his boyhood heroes at a time when he probably could have played for any club in the world. He is a strong, yet down-to-earth character, who brings a positive influence to the dressing room.

15. LB. Dawn Morham, 27 Image Marionville | Height: 182cm. Weight: 68kg | Caps: 3 Goals: 0
Morham is undoubtedly one of the best left-backs in the SPL right now. She is a cool head at the back, very patient, and avoids flying into rash challenges. What makes the 27-year-old so effective, however, is her ability get forward and support the attack. Morham has a work rate that makes coaches tiered just watching her, and a crossing ability, which would make wingers weep. Dawn is the younger sister of Corvistone star Krista Morham, and both players came through the ranks at West Coast Warriors.

14. CB. Joel Kamara, 22 | Image San Marco Storm | Height:190cm Weight:81kg | Caps: 4 Goals: 0
There’s a lot of excitement around this young player, who was heavily tipped for a move away from San Marco in the summer. The big centre-half got his chance in Pasarga last year, as injuries and dips in form thrust him into the starting XI. It’s perhaps still a little early for him, but once he works on his position and the technical requirements of playing at centre-half, he’ll be a big player for Schottia.

17. WR. Annlaug Larsen, 24 | Image Samaj FC | Height:169cm Weight: 63kg | Caps: 0 Goals: 0
The former National Academy star has seen her career rocket in an incredibly short period of time. Her name wasn’t even mentioned during the Regionals, but the Samaj winger looks set feature heavily in this year’s qualifiers. With most of the national pool either too young or too old, having a wide-player in her prime, playing regularly in the HL, is a huge boon for Raven Cullen. The 24-year-old is yet to win a cap for Schottia at any level, but that will surely change before long.

18. WL. Kelly McInnes, 23 | Image AFC Treason | Height:178cm Weight: 64kg | Caps: 4 Goals: 2
[i]Riding high on the back of a breakthrough tournament at the Copa Rushmori, and a big money move to the Nepharim Premiership, it’s fair to say McInnes has a spring in her step right now. The wing-forward spent Schottia’s international exile tearing the A-League a new one, and her patience has been rewarded with a huge vote of confidence from Raven Cullen. She is currently behind Avelione in the pecking order, but now that she’s playing in the Premiership, there’s no reason why that can’t change.

21. DM. Colin Loweson 28 | Image Port Sebastian | Height: 186cm. Weight: 74kg | Caps: 0 Goals: 0
One of the SPL’s stand out stars at them moment, Loweson will likely get his first chance to impress in a Schottia jersey at some point soon. He worked his way up through the ranks at Holin, before moving to Porty, where he slowly built himself into a key player under Barry Gorman. He has the kind of strong, defensive qualities the team needs; and with a shortage of players in that position, don’t be surprised to see him drafted in.

19. CM. Ava Rose Donaldson, 24 | Image Handon United | Height:178cm Weight: 65kg | Caps: 5 Goals: 0
The name of Donaldson is one that carries with it a fair amount of pressure in Schottic football. However, the eldest daughter of former NT skipper and assistant manager, Colin, is perfectly well equipped to forge her own reputation. Rosie, who previously played with Northampton in the Isle of Avon, has been one of the shining lights at United during the hiatus. With good awareness and a broad range of passing, she will likely fit in well with Cullen’s high-tempo, attacking system. There is competition for places in the midfield right now, but with the three-in-the-middle system, Donaldson has as good a chance as any.

16. CM. Valentine Roxel, 26 | Image Starling | Height: 188cm. Weight: 73kg | Caps: 0 Goals: 0
Regional Development product, Valentine Roxel is a player at the top his game right now. “Rocky” built up her reputation at North Sabrefell, as his strength and stamina helped him establish himself as one of the best box-to-box-midfielders in the Premiership. The 26-year-old narrowly missed out on a call up to the Copa Rushmori, but following a summer move to Starling, he’s most certainly front and centre of Cullen’s plans.

24. CM. James Inescourt, 26 | Image FC Soessch | Height: 183cm. Weight: 77kg | Caps: 4 Goals: 1
One of the next generation starting to emerge, James Inescourt will probably be an important player for his country over the next five years. With Brotnte, Bánach, and Stenberg not getting any younger, it’s to players like him that Cullen will have to turn. Originally a bog-standard striker, Inescourt has never looked back since making the switch to centre-midfield, winning a smattering of caps over the past two cycles.

12. FC. Jack Jevđenijević, 25 | Image Oldhem Knights | Height: 182cm. Weight: 73kg | Caps: 6 Goals: 2
Jevđenijević is a competent natural goal scorer, who shot to prominence as teenager while still at New Belfast Warriors. After taking advantage of an injury crisis, he burst into the starting line-up and made an immediate impact. Pace, strength, and composure in the box helped him win a move to Oldhem Knights, where he has slowly been making progress. With the dust yet to settle, Jevđenijević may yet establish himself as the long term replacement for Martel-Burns.

9. FC. Ross Renshaw, 28 | Image Colonial Sile | Height:181cm Weight: 71kg | Caps: 49 Goals: 20
As a striker, Renshaw is one you would call ‘steady’ as opposed to ‘prolific.’ He’s been a decent source of goals wherever he’s been - Vilita, Turori, Port Christopher – but he’s never set the scoring charts alight. Arguably his most fruitful period came at Blue Coast, where he spearheaded the sides CEdC and CC runs, and ultimately won a move to the V-League. Lionel Mah was a fan of his old-fashioned number-nine qualities, and for that reason he was a big part of Schottia’s WC78/79 campaigns. Off the pitch, Renshaw’s biggest claim to fame was his relationship with fellow striker Connie “CMB” Martel-Burns.

National Pool
Not considered key squad members, the players listed below are the likely to be called-up to the squad of twenty-three in the event of injuries and suspensions.

GK. William Lewis, 27 | Image Holdenberg City | Height:190cm Weight:84kg | Caps: 0 Goals: 0
A solid Gold League keeper, who has previously played in Chromatika.

RB. Lena Kiefer, 22 Image Willox Street Pirates Height: 181cm. Weight: 68kg | Caps: 0 Goals: 0
Young attacking wingback, who brings flair the side.

LB. Beatrice Colgan, 29 Image Stahlburg Rovers Height: 177cm. Weight: 63kg | Caps: 0 Goals: 0
An experienced left-back, who can get forward and launch the attack.

CB. Kara Lyndonton, 23 | Image Cornellians | Height:181cm Weight:65kg | Caps: 0 Goals: 0
Talented young centre-half with good tackling and positioning, her jumping is a little suspect.

CB. Harvey Roseroot, 22 | Image WAE | Height:188cm Weight:70kg | Caps: 0 Goals: 0
A strong centre-half, with experience already under his belt.

DM. Seyda Artîn, 26 | Image Willox Street Pirates | Height: 180cm. Weight: 72kg | Caps: 4 Goals: 0
A battling, hacking, ball-wining midfielder.

WR. Anna Meyreani, 23 | Image Port James Athletic | Height:169cm Weight: 63kg | Caps: 0 Goals: 0
Quick right winger, great going forward, not the best when it comes to tracking back.

WL/ST. Isaiah Vaught, 26 | Image Marionville | Height:188cm Weight: 81kg | Caps: 14 Goals: 4
A big, powerful forward, who can either play wide left or through the middle.

CM. Thomas Still, 25 | Image Cornellians | Height: 185cm. Weight: 74kg | Caps: 0 Goals:0
A standard central midfielder, who works his socks off.

CM/AMC/WL. Line Stenberg, 30 | Image Handon United | Height:168cm Weight:63kg | Caps: 43 Goals: 14
Highly experienced and versatile midfielder.

AM. Mirka Shitakuari, 27 | Image Cornellians | Height: 169cm. Weight: 61kg | Caps: 3 Goals: 1
A creative playmaker forward.

FC/LW. Kajsa Kupper, 22 | Image Tropicorp City Height: 169cm | Weight: 65kg | Caps: 0 Goals: 0
A short, stocky attacker, who brings pace and physicality to the side.

FC. Jonte Bestatter, 22 | Image Tanrısal | Height:187cm Weight: 74kg | Caps: 0 Goals: 0
Broad-shouldered targetman striker.

FC. Keeva Crowe, 24 | Image Port Sebastian | Height:178cm Weight: 67kg | Caps: 0 Goals: 0
Feisty little forward, who performs best in a two-up-front system.

Schottia
Situated region of Rushmore, Schottia is a small diverse country of 6.6 million people. Throughout the Multiverse, Schottia is best known for its progressive social policies, far left politics, and whisky distilleries. The southern Schottic landscape is largely characterised by arable farmland, pine forests, and windswept pebble beaches. The North Island, by contrast, is almost entirely made up of rugged mountain ranges and bleak scree-slopes, where the towns and cities, for the most part, hug the narrow bands of flat land around the coast.

Schottia was once a distant colony of the Ossorian Empire, the remnants of which still stretch around most of what are now the region of Tyran. Schottia broke away from the Ossorians in 1867, following internal unrests, which saw the small fledgling nation take the first steps down the road towards becoming a republic. Schottia as we know it today was constituted in 1922, following a workers' uprising, out of which the country's socialist politics was born.

Today, Schottia is a small, peaceful nation; with thriving fishing, tourism, and drinks industries. Most people living in South Schottia are ethnically Schottic or Ossorian, although particularly in the bigger cities, you will meet a range of people from all over the Multiverse, who have at one point fled major conflicts, or simply chosen to study or settle. The North Island of Schottia is similar, however it also has a large Shalumite-German population, as well as pockets of French speaking communities.

Handon
The most international of all Schottia's cities is its capital Handon. The diverse population of 1.1 million includes over 200,000 students who attend the city's four universities and five technical colleges. The harbour city is a unique blend of the old and the new, with modern buildings slotted into gap sites around 17th and 18th century architecture. Of all Schottia's towns and cities Handon is by far the most vibrant, with award winning restaurants, clubs, and bars; as well as no shortage of excellent hotels and apartments. For most people, Handon is synonymous with Schottia, and it is often the case that visitors rarely take time to see some of the more remote, rural communities. Built on a peninsula, the south of the city is what many would consider to be the 'city centre.' As well as being the location of Harbour Hill Stadium, it is also home to all of the main administrative buildings, and the more affluent parts of the city.

Travel
Getting to Schottia is reasonably straight forward, if not a little time consuming. Despite the fact that the country consists of five islands, it is unlikely that many visitors will arrive by sea, due to the distances involved. Almost everyone arriving in the country, either fans or players, will fly into Handon International Airport. H.I.A handles almost all of the nation's incoming flights, as well as being a main stop off northwest in or out of the region. Anyone arriving by sea will most likely dock at the ferry terminal in Granton, just to the north of Handon.

Travel within Schottia is usually painless. Public transport it well funded, and free bus and tram services make getting around the cities cheap, and stress free. For longer distances, all major towns and cities are connected by a high-speed rail service. Schottic citizens pay high levels of tax, but one of the plus sides is that they have a public transport system that works.

Languages
The official languages of Schottia are Scots, English, German, and French, however, English is the one most likely to be heard in the streets. Most people living in Schottia are multilingual, speaking combinations of the four national languages, depending on the area they were born. In addition to this, there is a heavy emphasis on languages in schools from the age of five onwards, meaning that it is not unusual for Schottians to speak up to four or five of the main regional languages with some degree of fluency.

Weather
Most of Schottia has a temperate maritime climate, with warm summers typically around 25°C, and cool snowy winters ranging from -8 to +8°C. Whatever time of the year you're fans and players are visiting Schottia, it is likely to be wet, and it's perhaps best to bring an umbrella.

Currency and Shopping
The currency in Schottia is the Schottic Pound. The current exchange rate is just under two NS dollars to the pound, meaning that certain luxury goods might seem expensive. On the flip side of this, food in the supermarkets is available at cost price, as is clothing in government stores - the same can also be said for most non-luxury items. Schottia isn't exactly one of the world's main shopping centres, and strict rules on advertising can often mean that the High Streets can seem a little drab to those more used to eye-catching posters, and flashy billboards. That said, the larger more international cities of Soessch and Handon have their fair share of fashion outlets, and foreign eateries. While these regulations might have limited the expansion of international businesses, the gap in the market has been filled up small independent clothing boutiques, family-run bars, and restaurants.

Fans
Schottic fans are generally peaceful, and are solely there to have a good time. Apart from the fact that your city's bars will be ram packed before and after the matches you shouldn’t expect any trouble from them. They are prone to picking out the opposition's foibles with their catchy (and not particularly witty) chants, but is always meant in good humour.

Formation: 4-4-2

=================================

Manager: Kevin Connelly (58 years old)
Connelly agreed to come out of retirement to help novice manager Bryan Ostrom with learning the ropes of being an in-match manager during AOCAF, and agreed to one more go as an assistant manager during World Cup 84 qualifying. He is more defensive minded than Ostrom is. He takes over the team after Ostrom's suicide.
Assistant Manager: Kevin Wilson (56 years old)
The former "B-Stars" national team manager previously served as the AOCAF team's manager, but now steps in as an assistant for the main national team with Connelly's ascension to manager. He takes over the more offensive role from Ostrom.

HOME GROUND: Dave Wilson Stadium, Woodstock (105,690 capacity, natural grass field); alternate home ground i Joe Gibbs Stadium in Woodstock (75,900 capacity)

Roster (Starters in bold)

GOALKEEPERS
26 Mateo Sandoval, 31, 6-foot-4, 205 pounds (Woodstock Wild)
Sandoval just finished his sixth season in the Cyanea League as the Wild's starting goalkeeper and led the Sarzonian teams in the league with the lowest goals against average (0.74). He is a take-charge keeper and will often re-position players for free kicks.
30 Paolo Gomes, 25, 5-foot-9, 165 pounds (Portland Timbers)
Gomes recently migrated to Sarzonia and earned a spot on the Stars national team with his quickness in the box. Plays a lot on instinct.
1 Carlton Sandt, 19, 6-foot-3, 215 pounds (Lakiska SC, Banijan Soccer League)
Sandt is the younger brother of legendary Stars goalkeeper Horace Sandt. He won the starting job for the Wanderers as a true freshman and led a previously downtrodden side to the national semifinals. He has catlike reflexes and is quick off his line. Can get too aggressive.

DEFENDERS
4 Charlie King, 24, 5-foot-11, 155 pounds (Saugerties Snakes)
King plays as a defensive-oriented fullback, often marking the opposing team's top striker. He relies more on positioning and reading his opponent's tendencies and body language to figure out where to run than on speed. He's not exactly a burner.
5 Tommy Benignati, 27, 6-foot-2, 200 pounds (Wilmington FC)
The older brother of Marco Beningnati, Tommy plays a much more rugged style than Marco does. Can play sweeper in a three-back lineup.
7 Matt Taylor, 22, 6-feet, 185 pounds (Burlington Browns)
Taylor's speed lends itself to being a fullback, but he plays halfback for the Browns. He has a tendency to struggle with more physical forwards and offensive midfielders.
13 Russ Howard, 33, 5-foot-10, 170 pounds (Nicksia Knights) Captain
Howard is on the roster as much for his veteran leadership and for being a coach on the pitch as he is for his manmarking abilities. He and Taylor are rooming together during qualifying.
18 Ben Russell, 29, 6-foot-1, 190 pounds, Rochester Renegades
In his first season as team captain of the Renegades, he led the team to a Sarzonian Football Confederation championship, resulting in the team's promotion to the Cyanea League. If he's on the pitch in the event Howard gets subbed for, he will don the captain's armband. He is a reserve halfback for the Stars.
22 Carmela Bowen, 26, 5-foot-8, 145 pounds, Woodstock Justice
Brown plays fullback for the Justice, a Sarzonian women's football team, and typically marks whomever the playmaking midfielder is. Her stamina earned her a spot on the national team.
6 George Morrison, 33 M 6'2 185 pounds, Nicksia Knights
Morrison is the only Stars player with significant international experience prior to this year, having competed in an AOCAF 10 years ago. He is here to help provide veteran leadership and bench depth.

MIDFIELDERS
8 Ernie Mabree, 23, 5-foot-10, 175 pounds (FC Corcorran)
Mabree has one of the better left-booted shots in the Sarzonian league structure and is one of the fastest players in Sarzonia. He'll play an important role in Sarzonia's offence.
10 Brady Reynolds, 27, 6-foot-2, 185 pounds (Portland Timbers
Donning the 10 shirt for the Stars, Reynolds can be very creative with the ball and will often take corner kicks and free kicks. Predominantly a right-booted player, but he's worked a lot during the offseason on improving with his left boot.
16 Trisha Collins, 29, 5-foot-6, 125 pounds (Portland Thorns)
Collins will assume the same role with the national team that she does for the Thorns in Sarzonia's women's football league as a defensive midfielder and general pest.
18 Carlos dos Santos, 22, 5-foot-11, 175 pounds (Woodstock Wild)
A right wing player, he will sometimes be called upon to take free kicks if Reynolds is unable to for some reason.
20 Clayton Wilson, 20, 5-foot-10, 170 pounds, (Woodstock Wild)
A grandson of legendary Stars forward Brian Wilson and great-grandson of coach Dave Wilson, Clayton is not just a fourth generation star among the Stars, he served as the playmaker for the Under 21 Stars and is a sterling wing player on the Wild.
28 Travis D'Agostino, 28, 6-foot-2, 200 pounds, (Wilmington FC)
D'Agostino will provide depth for the defensive midfield for the Stars. He starts for Wilmington in that role.
30 Erik Swann, 21, 5-foot-11, 175 pounds (Portland Timbers)
Swann's strength is being a late-match offensive substitute who can score in a pinch.

FORWARDS
11 Cayden Aguirre, 29, 5-foot-10, 170 pounds (Nicksia Knights)
Aguirre is the creative forward on the squad with an ability to pinch hit as a playmaking midfielder in late-match situations in the event of defensive-minded substitutions.
21 Jake Campos, 20, 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, (Portland Timbers)
Campos is a straight up target player in the front line. His leaping ability makes him a prime candidate for headers in the box off corner kicks and indirect free kicks. He played on the Junior Stars team that competed in the most recent AOCAF.
17 Mek'hi West, 30, 6-foot-3, 215 pounds (Woodstock Wild)
West is similar in style to Campos, but with West 18 months removed from a torn ACL, he's still working toward being match fit for a full 90 minutes. He can give a good 45-50 minutes at a time before he has to be substituted for when he's a starter.
19 Holly Cambrio, 23, 5-foot-7, 145 pounds (Woodstock Justice)
Cambrio adds flair and ball movement skill and the ability to serve as a sparkplug off the bench, but would be a starter for a women's national team if that competition got resurrected.

About Terre Septentrionale:

Terre Septentrionale consists of 20 Townships (Cantons) and a federal district. Terre Septentrionale is located on an island in the northern part of the globe and the climate is similar to a ReallifeStates nation called "Iceland". In summer, the weather ranges from 0°Celsius (32° Fahrenheit) to 20° Celsius (68° Fahrenheit). Terre Septentrionale was discovered during the 16th century by French explorer Jacques-Cartier and was colonized in the 17th century by French, English, Polish, Croat, Slovene, Magyar, Spanish and Czech peoples. After some fights, the eastern part of Terre Septentrionle was a French colony and the western part, a Polish colony. The eastern part got it's independence from France in 1792 while the western part became independent from Poland in 1907. East and West Terre Septentrionale united in 1957 and it's now a single nation on the island.

Terre Septentrionale, once a catholic nation, is now one of the most secular nation in the multiverse. The "loi pour la laïcité" (secularism bill) was passed in the '90s and since then religious signs are illegal in the nation. In Terre Septentrionale it's illegal to wear a veil, an hijab, a burka and however they call it. It's also illegal to display any religious sign, such as catholic crosses, in public and religion is now looked with disdain.

To reach Terre Septentrionale, you have to take an international flight and land at one of the three international airports. All gas vehicles (except planes) are banned in Terre Septentrionale. For inter cities transportation, the best way to travel is by electric bus because the train system isn't developped. Our inter cities buses, made by InnovaBus, are luxurious with lots of spaces between seats. You can also rent an electric car with Hétu Car Rentals. Most common rented cars are the Chèvrefils Volt and the Niedzwiecki Leaf. If you prefer luxury cars, you can rent a Mercedes-Belzile EQ car. For intra cities transportation, we suggest taking the bus. Intra cities buses aren't as much luxurious as inter cities buses but they're still comfortable. Buses are passing every 30 minutes in non rush hour and every 10 or 15 minutes in rush hour. Ville Jacques-Cartier is the only city with a subway system with 5 metro lines.

We have many hotel chains in Terre Septentrionale. Claremount hotels, like Claremount Château Frontenac in Ville Jacques-Cartier, are 5 stars hotels. There's a Claremount hotel in Ville-Jacques-Cartier, Trzebiegoszcz, Yamaska and Papineauville. The two largest hotel chains are the Skrzypczak Hotel Group and Massicotte International. Both have an hotel in every major cities in Terre Septentrionale and they're all 4 stars hotels, except the Massicotte Château Champlain in Ville Jacques-Cartier, which is a 5 stars hotel.

If fans from your nation made it to Terre Septentrionale, but they didn't got tickets for the game, they still can watch the game at our many pubs and sports bars. Ostrzeszow Pizza Restaurant and Sports Bar has 59 restaurants and sports bars around Terre Septentrionale.

Home Away Third
Modifier: +1

Manager: Srđan Jakšić, age 49
Assistant: Michael Mueller, age 49

Home Stadium: Stade de Torgos (90,000)

Goalkeepers
GK: Sasa Szatmáry, age 30, Club Stein-los (F)
GK: Thorsten Gerber, age 35, CA Paulinthal
GK: Szescõ Mezei, age 22, Hellinic Rouge
GK: Ambrus Galambos, age 27, Stein-los Turkish
GK: Guglielmo Lo Duca, age 27, Stoneshore United Image

After being completely dropped out of favor for the Copa Rushmori, Gerber decided to prove that he was still the man for the job and had one of his best seasons ever with CAP, putting up eighteen clean sheets during the season, seeing him retain his position. However Galambos has moved into the second spot in the pecking order with his brilliant display for the majority of the Copa Rushmori and looks to be the successor to Gerber following this World Cup. Szatmáry is as reliable as ever and will likely feel a bit hard done by dropping to third in the preference spot, yet she knows she has to be ready whenever she is called upon. Lo Duca and Mezei are unlikely to see starts, especially the latter given his age, but both are known for some reliable reflexes and good positioning and could do a job if an injury crisis occurs.

Defenders
LB: Rozalia Sebeôk, age 25, Duke of the North (F)
LB/LW: Deli Ács, age, 24, Directus Image
LB: Carlo Iadanza, age 26, Galatica
CB: Lazar Meier, age 25, Directus Image
CB: Renata Novaković, age 26, Baskita FC (F)
CB: Laborc Szöllössy, age 24, Spartangrad Image
CB: Ralf Bader, age 30, Directus Image
CB: Torsten Mueller, age 28, Stein-los Turkish
CB: Christian Berg, age 30, Starling Image
R/CB: Tabor Csikós, age 24, Spartangrad Image
RB: Igor Topić, age 26, Ramusok United Image
RB: Linka Polak, age 30, Baskita FC (F)

It seems fitting that Berg get the armband, given that he very quietly became the heart of the backline, with both he and Bader being stalwarts in the middle of the defensive unit and difficult to break down. Neither can be put at fault for the Wanderers being unable to secure qualification two years ago, which they showed in a very memorable Copa Rushmori performance. On the flanks, a pair of pacy and resiliant fullbaks with a lot of tenacity makes the back four look like they will be what the team as a whole will likely look to rely on as they attempt to rectify the failures of last season. The versatile Deli Ács will be one to keep an eye out on, especially to see if the managers decide he is better at fullback or out on the wing bombing forward against defenses, with blistering pace and a very good cross of the ball. The reserves are solid, with a good deal of the defensive pool plying their trade in Eura, a domestic league known for stiffening up the players who play their and producing quite remarkable players in the process, a trait that the coaches no doubt will be hoping to bank on in the upcoming months.

Midfielders

Where once it was a plethora of amazing center midfielders that the Wanderers' built their squads upon, there now seems to be a bit of an absence of talent on the surface of things, though the same is not true of the wingers that are in the Wanderers' player pool. With Eisenhower and Feierabend left of the team, a pair of talented youngsters will have their chance to prove their worth, with the youngest Földessy brother seeing himself into the starters role when the eldest is dropped from the pool, and the middle unable to dislodge the right wing spot. Mária Vöröss had an exceptional Copa Rushmori with her playmaking abilities and many will hope that she can continue that into Qualifiers and get this squad back among the elite of the game, though with the likes of Gere and Berecz on the wings it will be much easier given their top caliber status. If the younger players in the center of the park can mature and play up to the potential that many believe they have, this could once more turn into the strongest unit for the national team but for now only the wingers are sure things and known quantities.

Strikers

AMC/ST: Alexander Jager, age 28, Revolutionaries Image
ST: Petar Galić, age 28, Hellinic Rouge
ST: Alexander Kárpáty, age 33, Crawford City FC Image
ST: Réka Szôllôssi, age 26, Stein-los Turkish (F)
ST: Nataša Horvat, age 26, Olympia FC Image (F)
ST: Júlia Müller, age 25, Cloudsdale Flyers Image (F)

As Kárpáty replaced Thor last cycle, it is now his time to step aside and let someone with a bit more pep in their step to step into the starting role, as Petar Galić has rode his way not just into the full national team but also a starting place on the back of a domestic season to remember with the Spartans. Many will remember his exploits in the DBC and will hope that that calm under pressure attitude is still their and he can bang in the goals that were very inconsistent last cycle. However the true key player will be Alexander Jager, who will have the burden of having to lead this squad forward with very few familar faces around him. However it was his ability to shoulder such a load as a youth that had so many speaking his name, having nearly almost won a DBC by himself. His speed and shot power are among the best in the world and now he will have to prove he is worthy of all the attention he garners. The Copa Rushmori definitely did a lot of favors for Horvat and Müller, who both find themselves on the roster, though the latter is more likely to get the spot starts than the former, and Réka Szôllôssi also having a bit of speed off the bench if needs be.

Formation And Tactics
Image

Srđan Jakšić came into the job very unexpectedly after the Wanderers' embarrassing crash out of the World Cup Qualifiers and on the heels of his own blushing moment with Tani in the domestic scene, before bouncing back both domestically with a PSL title and internationally in guiding the Wanderers to an unexpected retaining of the Copa Rushmori. However the PFA decided that they needed someone who knew how to drill in consistency into the squad and that is something that Jakšić is known for, with Tani squads being one of the most conditioned and least carded teams in the SuperLiga. It is suspected that he will keep to the traditional 4-4-2 of the the Wanderers, but do not be surprised if he employs a 4-3-1-2 or even a diamond midfield with the players at his disposal. What is for sure though is that the Wanderers' will be pressing their opponents hard and will look to get into the attack as often as possible, also seemingly more keen on bringing on players into the pool who can play in a variety of positions to allow greater tactical flexibility heading into matches.

Probable formation

Overview
The golden generations of Audioslavian football were cycles 59 to 65, during which time the national side won a Baptism of Fire, three AOCAF Cups and two NS World Cups. The national team won nothing of import before or since, despite competing in international football between cycles 4 and 29, 59 and 78 and since World Cup 80.

Historically, the national side has a history of doing reasonably well in tournaments. In recent years, this has slipped to simply ‘sometimes doing ok’

Stadium
Audioslavia’s home stadium is the 66 Stadium, referred to as the Arena Kirola for advertising purposes. One could call the Kirola Arena 'modern', but as the word tends to imply abstract minimalism and modest use of space, the word isn't quite the right one to use. The arena features a large shopping complex, complete with cinema, an array of chain cafes and restaurants, three gyms, a swimming pool and even a sauna. The conference rooms are numerous, large and lavish, and the media centre for visiting journalists and television crews is enormous, even if it is starting to show its age.

As for the football part of the stadium, one could be forgiven for thinking it was an afterthought, squeezed in at the last minute between the vast media complex and larger of two fast food restaurants. In truth, the narrow, long pitch is perfectly suited to the cautious, defensive, kontrapuntzeka brand of football played by the Audioslavian national team and adopted by club tenants 1830 Cathair. The narrow playing area, towering stands (the FFA's insistence on large, comfortable seating for each punter necessitated the stadium's vertigo-inducing height, with three tiers encircling the pitch) and a large roof that lets little light in during the day, but keeps the sound of the crowd echoing around the arena allowing for a deafening atmosphere.

The stadium’s floodlights are bright and numerous, causing players to look un-naturally like they have no shadows on the pitch. The goal nets are bright white, made of very heavy netting in a hexagonal style, pulled tight and positioned only two metres behind the goal-line, often causing the ball to spring back onto the pitch when a goal is scored. High white walls between the grass and the stands - onto which murals are often painted before big international games - give the stadium a distinctive look.

In order to get from the tunnel to the pitch, players must walk down 13 shallow steps, with home fans surrounding them. The home fans *probably won’t* throw anything harder than an insult, but the insults themselves will be quite hard.

Players
Manager Wilfred Lidgley, an Apoxian who spent his entire latter career at 1830 Cathair before taking over the job of national team manager, has been careful to keep his Audioslavia team playing in an Audioslavian way. His side will play a typically balanced formation with the emphasis on a strong back four protected by two defensive midfielders, with three attacking midfielders supporting Desya Kuznetsov up front.

Style
Kontrapuntzeka, a dialectal word for counter-attack, has long been Audioslavia’s weapon of choice. The footballing ethos of the isle has long been that, in order to a score a goal, you must first bring your opponent out of its shell. Even against ‘weaker’ teams, Audioslavia tend to line up cautiously, even if they do expect to have the lion’s share of possession.

Audioslavians tend to be very fit, and have a habit of stealing games at the death when their opponents tire. On the negative side, such emphasis on physical fitness and organization does mean there’s less time for technique drills. Audioslavian footballers are typically a couple of notches below their international counterparts in terms of pure technique. Audioslavia do employ a physical style when necessary, but as they tend to be built on the lithe side they can be bullied out of fiercer midfield battles.

When things aren’t going their way, Audioslavians will cheat. If things *really* aren’t going their way, they’ll start to get petulant and violent.
