Like a third of them out right died. The rest were injured in some form or another. Owen lost a leg.

So Owen's Dad bought Anikins mom after the little shite left for the Jedi, and when the raiders took her, he and 40 other farmers saddled up and went to get her back, he's the one who lost a leg and is one of like, 4 to survive out of the 40. You still see him in ep3 in his hover chair that Owen built.

Since like, Owen Lars was a total unit when it came to mechanics.

Personality: Passionate but timid, proud but self critical. Awfully cynical but respectful. More often than not she will allow the 2nd party to talk on their own and not participate in conversation if she feels its not her place, it's pointless, or the other person is just air headed. She's a firm believer that words are weapons but silence is mass destruction. She's analytical and prone to over speculate on words and demeanor but keeps her calculations to herself unless she seriously feels the urge to respond. She's proud of her people and sadly disappointed in their struggles and horrific history of death and only wishes it were not so- often fighting the concept of unfairness but disdainful of pity. She toils on self improvement but fundamentally harbors low self esteem. She's very open to criticism but detests condescension from weakened grounds. Highly prone to isolationism, its easy to say she's an extroverted introvert.

Goals: To clearly understand the distinction and differences of the Republic and empire. To see the Galaxy prosper and function without conflict.
Fears: Idle time, letting down others and not appeasing their expectations, crowded spaces among various other small things.

Background: Despite Alpheridies being an independent outskirt system, when the opportunity had come to aid the civil war it had been obvious who 'free' Miraluka would side with... Finding their bastion of hope with the rebel alliance. The scantily developed, largely self-sustaining, agri-world was imposed upon and further renovated into an ideal police state; unable to stave off imperial influence. It's peaceful Miraluka populatoon having less than amicable means of defending itself from molestation. Having suffered at the hands of the empire impart of the Jedi purge and/or coerced into service as agents for its inquisition branches; many Miraluka could be found fleeing to join the ranks of the rebellion.

The systematic genocide of countless Miraluka along with the general repression of their species had effectively scattered them via exodus about the galaxy in small communities and pockets. Khaza, herself being born to a father she only knew through holo-net, a man in service as a Rebel administrator from middle until just before the end of the galactic civil war. Her mother a teacher on Alpheridies, stolen from her by the imperials and subjected to summary execution for inspiring rebellious conduct. Her parents were always aware of the direness of Miraluka situation, tales of Old revolving around their original planet along with that of Katarr; Her father's absence was never questioned as he was constantly on the move with the rebels in pursuit of the greater good.

Being left behind in the care of others, it was almost an undeniable requirement that Khaza would be put into the clutches of the Imperial inquisitorious. A branch of the empire that had deep seeded interests regarding the force sensitive Miraluka. Khaza was forcefully ingratiated with their politics, academic syllabus, and also their philosophical mantras; future stock for the dark branches tendrils to withdraw from on a whim whether it be testing or application. Further, this transfer of ideas and education was meant to propogate and stifle dissidence and yield loyal tools to its sovereign. If it were not for Khaza's mother in her ear, perhaps she would be a very different woman. Then again, if it weren't for Khaza being so near to the inquisitorious purview, her mother may not have been so easily picked out from the haystack.

Alpheridies as a whole rejoiced and was gladdened by the withdrawal and later the conclusive results of the empire's defeat. Khaza, the last of her direct family, was only able to share this fleeting moment with friends and fellow Miraluka... News of her father's demise arriving shortly after during the empire's death throes.

When Alpheridies began it's transition to rejoin the galactic society as a whole, Khaza had found herself feeling displaced, rebellious, and discontent with the present circumstances; lingering fires of her mother's teachings in stark opposition to what she learned in the imperial facility. As a result, her tutor Delvaro, who doubled as a spy for the republic, networked with those aware of the new jedi order's inception and insisted that they would be the ones most capable of providing her with a purpose and direction.

Skills: Not your ordinary Miraluka: Naturally force sensitive impart of her species. However, the force manifests in her quite potently for a Miraluka and in comparison to others of her kind she would be notable in her passive force presence. This in turn makes her aware of other's force aura but aids in her ability to manipulate or craft the force's direction, (such as her fighting technique, force skills, or other related expressions of the force).

Dedicated: Khaza takes conditioning whether its physically or mentally, very serious. These traits collectively make her task oriented and she is not easily satisfied with sub par results. Her intuition is also supplemented by the previous skill of force sensitivity.

Life force: Her connection to the force doesn't wane when she expresses her martial skills but is most emphasized (out of love of life) in her compassion and those consciously living and breathing. When others (especially those dear to her) are in duress or injured, she actively makes efforts to aid or subvert their pain or stress. If there was a healer type sub category for force powers, she would fit the bill. She is well disposed to life force midichlorians and ofted uses this ability to stabalize or heal if possible.

Weaknesses: Force Sensory Overload: despite perceiving the universe through the force and her inclination to repress emotions, Khaza is deeply inclined to be overwhelmed in excessively stressful situations and "boil over". This translates into her either completely shutting down or exploding in times of grief, misery, rage or suffering. She is a people pleaser and adheres to standard etiquette and expectations, so much so that she is more prone to sabotaging her own efforts than anybody else. She feels highly accountable for circumstances around her. On the worst occasions, she becomes privy to other's pain or disposition and must actively focus on removing the sensation- rare situations have occurred when this is projected onto someone/something else.

Black and White: She is a binary individual, 0 and 1, do or don't, will or won't, can or can't type person. Life is present and death is final. She will not rush to violence and avoid it by mediating the event as much as possible if not removing herself from it but when words solve nothing and actions translate into intensions- she refuses to be the victim of the ratio. It is not in anger nor malice, simply the natural truth of her survival and the lot of Miraluka in the present galaxy.

How advanced of a power is Force Healing anyway? I imagine it's not something you can become "Doctor" level at until you're a Master or something.

I'd imagine the first few levels would be rather weak, more so stabilizing some one until they can get actual medical attention.

As the user would grow in power, they should be able to heal more critical wounds over a shorter period of time.


Personally I might stick to Niman.

I'm looking at keywords such as" meditate" vs "greater aptitude". I don't expect to be making people whole, but at the very least helping them help themselves and later down the road being well versed in the practice.

I just figured, perceiving the world through the force would make the role easier, haha.

Personality: Faela is a lighthearted but calculating person. She finds herself perfectly at home in conversations but also in the heat of combat, and constantly seeks one or the other (though sometimes she prefers both). She will joke about how her best feature is her silver tongue, which has saved her life many more times than her fighting prowess ever had.

Background: When the Old Republic transitioned to the Empire Mirial was relatively untouched for the first few years, as it was far away from the core worlds. This did not last however. Mirial soon saw massive crackdowns on it's religion and any practices of the force, or force like worship in general. Many Mirialans fled their planet to look for ways to fight back with many joining the fledgling rebellion. Faela was born to two of the rebel soldiers, with her mother moving out of combat duties to more support roles so she could raise and protect her new daughter from the ever growing war. Faela would move around constantly for the first few years, following wherever the Rebel Alliance went. After Yavin her mother and her settled down in a small farming town on a colonial planet, trying to avoid notice from the Empire while they hunted down the shattered alliance. It is here that her mother began to teach her about the force, combat, and their culture. The first two Faela was a quick learner on, finding that she was force sensitive and that she had a decently powerful connection to it, and her natural agility mixed with basic force abilities made her a natural at fighting. The Mirialan culture and customs was a different story. Faela found that she loved hearing the stories, but that she disagreed with some of the teachings, or didn't understand why she would follow them. After the Galactic Concordance finally ended the war Faela and her mother left and started traveling the New Republic to find old comrades and help the new government rebuild.

In the following years she discovered her father had been killed in a heroic sacrifice which left her feeling much at odds with the versions of the force that her mother held versus what others told her and what she read about. Her training would continue for the next few years until she ventured out on her own, taking odd jobs around the Republic, where she tested and enhanced her skills in real combat against thugs and wildlife. She was still young, but her knack for hand-to-hand combat gave her a reputation, which in turn got her more jobs. The jobs started getting harder and more dangerous, she found herself barely escaping with her life many times. On one of these jobs she was hired as a personal bodyguard for a well known senator during a strenuous situation in the outer rim. The two conversed regularly and the senator began to help Faela bring out her charismatic side, which she hadn't realized she had. She found that talking, just like fighting, was second nature to her. She and the senator were ambushed and attacked, and the fighting was brutal. Eventually the senator was killed and the remaining bandits fled leaving a battered and shaken Faela lost in despair. She dropped out of her line of work and questioned who she was and what she was doing with her life. Conveniently around this time she was approached by one of the new Jedi Knights asking her to come and train at the Jedi temple on Yavin, to teach her how to become a true Jedi. Faela saw this as a grand opportunity for her to find her place, and to reconnect with the force like her ancestors had done before.

Skills: Naturally fast and agile boosted with aid from the force, a naturally charismatic speaker, a born fighter adept at both hand to hand and melee weapon fighting.
Weaknesses: She may have a strong connection to the force but she only really knows how to use it as an enhancement for her abilities and not as a stand alone tool outside of the basics. Her aim is terrible and she has done little to fix this problem, preferring close range. Has anxiety about losing those around her, and may freeze up if her allies lives are in danger.
