Because wording is inportant

So sorry I didn't say anything on Sunday guys. Just read through everything in the OOC (Although I'm not up to date IC at this moment). So Ah-eh-ioh-uh let's have Minerva "manipulate" the missiles with magic as you said. If they have a problem with the specific term "Hack" then we'll just remove that.

As far as the robotic demons, thinking about it, that probably doesn't make sense. So remove the robotic part and we'll be solid.

Robotic implies electronic. My parts are completely mechanical in nature, would inclusion of some non-electric moving parts be fine?

I personally don't have THAT big a problem with it, I just needed to make a point because I was feeling like I was being picked on despite others having powers way more powerful than everything she has. I was just using that as an example because people were saying that Minerva's powers are too broad and were OP. So I was just using the robots as an example because robots have no correlation to that god's theming. If the demon lord can have magitek which is outside of his theming, then how is Minerva too well rounded? That's what I was trying to argue.

Make it so that they're a combination of flesh and clockwork. And by flesh of course I mean a constantly moving, twitching and twisting bundle of sickly colored muscles with metal and bone spikes sticking out of them which is layed over a framework of rusted and partially broken clockwork with plenty of black grease oozing out of it.

Juohith the Deva of Contracts and Defilement

Powers and Abilities
  • Absolute Contract: Juohith can make absolute contracts (almost, titans can overpower contracts made directly with them) with and for other entities, the parties involved have to agree to the contract, but after agreeing, there is no backing out. The contract's power is limited by it needing to be a contract and the source of power, however beyond that it can bestow all sorts of powers and boons. Juohith can give contracts to mortals on the behalf of the Beyond/Malum to trade power for their own immortal souls.
  • Defilement: Juohith can twist things that are into impure versions and sow corruption into the fabric of the worlds. This ability will only work on another god if Jouhith has a contract with them, and is severely restricted in Unera, but in the beyond it can be used to spawn wretched demons and fell things beyond the imagination of any sane mortal.
Appearance(image if possible): WIP (probably part male, part female, half lawyer looking, half monstrosity looking thing)
Short Bio: Somehow, very recently, the deva of contracts accidentally made a contract with the deva of defilement (on earth and Defilement was hiding their true nature very well) which ended up creating a new entity with power over both after the defilement one managed to twist the contract in such a way that that they were one.
(Thinking that basically Deva of Contracts decided to live a mortal life, ended up falling in love and marrying, upon the marriage vows being said, their two natures made a permanent, twisted perversion of their wedding vows, turning them into one being)

Just FYI, I'd recommend you link the pics directly (via the img tag, probably also good to use the spoiler tag around it so the OOC isn't too cluttered), rather than leaving a messy URL like that. Probably best to reupload whatever pics you use to Imgur (and upload them as hidden rather than public, so random downvotes don't start flooding in). Links to pics often end up dead if you randomly take them from various parts of the internet.

Not sure if you knew how to do that already, but like this:

rock and roll

Name: Inanis
God of: the unknown, curiosity, hidden things, Patron of Oracles
Titan or Deva? Deva

Powers and abilities:

Passive: Has knowledge of everything humanity does not, past, present, and future, and loses this knowledge as man discovers it. Further, he cannot act on this knowledge himself, but can leave clues and cryptic hints to mortals who may. Radiates an aura of curiosity, mortals and some immortals in his presence are compelled to find out more about him or something he suggests.

Non-passive: Can hide anything from the reach of anything else, save for the abilities of other immortals. Can go completely undetected by mortals and by most immortals.

Appearance(image if possible):
To Mortals:
Appears as a large group of people surrounded in fog, with no discernible features, always just slightly too far away to see clearly. Communicates to mortals through vague cacophonous whispers and shouts which seem to form words and sentences. Can also choose to manifest as a single, clearly seen human composed of marble or stone, with a blank, expressionless face.

To Immortals:
When not hidden completely, Inanis is difficult to look at, as if its image is always shifting in and out of focus. He stands at about six or so feet tall, has smooth, marble-white skin and a face reminiscent of a greek or roman statue. He is cold to the touch.

Short Bio: Inanis is Deva of Curiosity, the Unknown, Hidden things, and Patron of Oracles. He knows all unknowns, past, present, and future, and is notoriously difficult to contact or find. He is often prayed to in genocides, prayers from scared victims hoping to be hidden away from genocidal soldiers. Many governments and organizations also pray to him, not only to hide their secrets from the views of enemies but to reveal what great advancements are yet unknown to them. It is in this last regard that he often does not answer, but will always hide someone in need. He often appears to great scientists, whistle blowers, or explorers, anyone who could make a life-changing discovery for mankind, and guides them to the answer. His knowledge is a burden, and he seeks to unload it onto humanity as quickly as possible. Since he cannot just simply tell mankind all of unknown knowledge, he created curiosity, a force to guide and drive them to discover it on their own.

So basically like the blacksmith god and the one that I had made (but rescinded) where one was leaning way heavily towards advancing technology (and really more a a god of industry and engineering rather than a blacksmithing god at this point) and fire and the other one was way more about the simple art of smithing (more of a hobby for the god really) and focused much more towards raw material creation.

If we are having gods with similar domains but drastically different executions, then I kind of want to play Okomephis in this. His forge aspect is more of a hobby thing that suits his actual aspects than anything.
Raktio wrote:Name: Okomephis
God of: Ore, Fire, Forging and Artistry.
Titan or Deva? Deva
Powers and abilities:
  • Okomephis has command over heat and fire. His fires generally will feel (to mortals) like a hearth fire, warm and welcoming, or a blacksmith's fire, hot (but not scorching) and filled with determination, pride and intent.
  • He is able to conjure, shape and modify ores (though actually going through the action of crafting is much easier and produces better results then simply willing stuff to happen.
  • He is able to create all sorts of celestial artifacts, though any using powers not within him are significantly diminished unless he gets help from someone who's powers correlate with what he is trying to make.
Appearance(image if possible): Will find something later, Basically a roughly humanoid person made of ore in various states of being smelted and forged into usable metals, competed parts fall off whenever they are competed and unrefined ore takes their place. The pieces are usually tossed onto his volcano's side where he may retrieve them some time later to forge holy / celestial artifacts.
Short Bio: Was born a minor Deva of ore originally, and an incredibly bored one. In his boredom, he took to wandering the worlds. It wasn't until he discovered a small, primitive, tribe of man upon the planet Earth, chipping away at the very ores he represented. Having his interest piqued, he observed them for an uncounted amount of time, and watched as they shaped the stones into tools and weapons. He began to mimic them, taking and shaping the ores into new shapes, and after placing one of his creations where a human would find it, he found the reaction satisfying. Thus, for many millennia after that, he disguised himself as a human and went around carving stones and taking pride in sharing his creations as well as sharing his knowledge. And then in one of the larger tribes he discovered something else, they would fire to soften the metals into something they could work much more easily, and suddenly they could do a whole lot of things. Using a little guile, he managed to become an apprentice to one of the crafters, and began learning the art of forging. Naturally, being a god, he was quickly able to outstrip his master, and in short order became a legendary smith in the region. After spending a human's lifetime smithing, and teaching a few apprentices the art, he decided to was time to leave. Leaving a few of his best works to his mortal friends and explaining who he truly was, he left for the Spiritual World.

In the spiritual world, he beseeched Gonz for a volcanic mountain which he could use as his forge. Getting the mountain, he began to forge things of all sorts of metals, tossing unsatisfactory work back into the mountain o melt down once more. It took him a while to realize that something didn't feel right, and when he looked around, he realized he hadn't kept a single item. Thus he returned to the mortal world and repeated the process. This took nearly seven times for him to realize what he was missing in the spiritual world. Upon returning to his forge volcano, instead of crafting only for himself, he created items for the various denizens of the spiritual world, and he finally felt satisfied in his work. He knew that those he made things for felt gratified for the item and the work he put into crafting them. He still goes down to the mortal world on the occasion and has made a legend for himself of a traveling master smith who's work is peerless.

Short Bio: Hepakatos isn’t as old as most Gods. Created when the first humans got ahold of the first metals, he gave them the knowledge to do so. Hepakatos has been known to make Divine Weapons. he can often be seen at his forge making new inventions for humankind. He is usually there most of the day. When he is not he likes to interact with other Gods.

I don't know about you guys but to me the distinction between the two is very clear. One guy is all about fire, innovation and industry, the other guy likes to make things out of his rocks that other people can appreciate. Okomephis will never go about trying to advance technology, industrialize, or otherwise use robotics, he will however be frequently found hammering away at whatever metals he happens to make or get his hands on to make superb works of craftsmanship, never making the same thing twice.

(I could also easily edit Okomephis to clarify that aside from the ore aspect, that his aspects are much more minor)
Broadside dead ahead!
