Insane boosts on ranks.

I have a question. I saw a nation that had an enormous boost in black market for example. And I ask myself, how can that happen? Here is an example: https://www.nationstates.net/nation=tup ... ensusid=79 I've seen other nations with similiar effects on other ranks, like taxes or a certain public spending that exploded out of nowhere. For example, foreign aid with this nation: https://www.nationstates.net/nation=gyn ... ensusid=78, where the numbers almost doubled in one day. How can such an enormous boost happen?

To be honest, I have no idea. I've always been eluded by that, myself.

I am still curious how a nation can gain more foreign aid in one day then I did in 2 years of gameplay.

Can anyone explain this and bring some transparency into the game? Thanks.

Seriously dude, the game's workings are non-transparent by intention. Unless we get Word of God from the game's creators that this intention has changed, you'll have to be content with that.

On that note, 2 years is a very short length. Hell, even my 4 years (since Nov 2015) is a short stay!

The nation from your screenshot I see seems to be Gynostan, that nation who has been around for... 9 years. I am not an IE, but they probably have many, many factors that are contributing to them. And that big boost is from 2016, so.... I think at this point, I don't think anyone knows or keeps track of what in goodness' name Gynostan did to get that much.

This is just how the rankings were recalculated. Basically every nation is negatively affected in some way or another.
