Hmm, the poll is interesting: I picked Buttigieg but I would also pick Sanders too. It seems Warren is on the slight decline right now.

I said Sanders, but no one tbh. Anything could happen in Iowa, and I don't think anything will change until then.

Anywho, Bloomberg is a laughably bad candidate who much of the country can't stand, he already has a successful personal brand so he only has everything to lose.

Plus Warren and Sanders might give him a heart attack from their anti-billionaire rhetoric. I'm concerned for his health, see.

Why is it everything that happens is some sort of magical establishment conspiracy to keep Sanders from winning?

Also if you need more reasons to hate Bloomberg he's the reason the Central Park Five were unable to get compensation from the city after being acquitted.

Actually not a bad idea. If they'd picked one of the 2016 republican primary candidates they'd have had an excellent chance.

Not a "homogeneous working class" but a considerable amount of people at least question capitalism. I wasn't claiming that anyone is a monolith of a particular belief.

Serious question - how does Kamala keep qualifying for these debates? She's hated in California, puts her foot in her mouth almost as much as Joe, and is such a partisan hack that even the DNC wants her to cool it. It boggles the mind!

She barely musters enough donors and still has 4%+ support in several polls here and there. It's not a sign that her campaign is still strong, more a sign that she's still managing to meet the bare minimums for a candidate to last until Iowa.

Emphasis on might :p

But for real, if Biden for whatever reason does end up falling out, who would take up his mantle? Bloomberg? Buttigieg? Klobuchar?

Well, if Buttigieg's Iowa gambit pays off, him. But Biden will never be in so much trouble that he's out that early. Even if he has a disappointing early state showing it will just mean that Super Tuesday might not lock him in and he'll have to campaign the rest of the way against Warren and/or Sanders.

It is unclear because nearly half of all Biden supporters have no definitive 2nd choice candidate, but a plurality of those who do would go evenly to Warren & Sanders (about 20% each) and the remaining to Buttigieg. Voters who don't have a 2nd choice are generally those who don't pay as much attention to politics and will likely move on to one of the other top-tier. So the race would simply become more of a two-way race between Sanders and Warren.

I don't see Bloomberg going anywhere, to be honest.
He's not exactly mister popular in general, and the optics of him literally buying his way in to the race are not going to sit well with people.
Everyone already knows money will get you far in politics, but there does seem to be a limit to how blatantly you can abuse that.

I think whoever emerges from the current Dem field (minus late entries by Bloomberg & Patrick) will eventually beat Trump. The American public are tired of the sideshow antics, the incompetence & the corruption that have defined the Trump Administration.

The childish name calling and the drunk tweeting were all so cute in 2016 cycle, but it's no substitute for a President that actually does his job.
