I am making this forum because I have never seen a coffee discussion forum... I know a lot of people who like coffee (including me) and im just shocked there's not a forum on NationStates... so NationStates coffee enthusiasts what is your favorite coffee to drink? Mine is a chocolate chip cookie dough iced latte that I get from my local coffee shop!

Right now I'm drinking some Cuvee El Salvador medium roast. It's a little brighter than I like but once the initial acid hit wanes it's delicious.

If y'all want to buy a random stranger something from his registry, may I direct you to this beauty? I already have an awesome burr grinder.

why are you not a fan of iced?

Always drank it hot, and if it starts to get cold I throw it in the microwave and give it a warm up or dump it. I've tried iced a few times here and there, just doesn't trip my trigger.

maybe i should try hot.. but its like burns my tongue you know... thats the only time i tried hot coffee... how do you drink it and not burn your tongue?

I love Iced Caramel Coffee or, during the winter, hot minty coffee. I usually put 3 spoonfuls of sugar and a tiny bit of creamer in my coffee.

I have an old espresso machine, so usually I'll have a double shot of espresso in the morning, then a single shot every few hours throughout the day. If I'm not in a rush, I'll make homemade lattes w coconut milk outta it.

I've had coffee that's been way too hot to drink, I just let it sit for a bit to cool, which kills me, because of that sweet coffee aroma tickling the nose.
I have the temp set on my coffee machine at 192F which is just perfect for me to start drinking right a way.

Ginseng coffee.

It has been invented by a Thailandese who studied cooking in Italy: the Thailandese was disgusted by Thai coffee, that is the same as French coffee. He thought that Italian coffee was much better but still lacking something, so he added ginseng: it's basically a double Italian coffee + a lot of ginseng extract.
The right way to consume it it's with honey, not sugar.

Probably just because coffee is a common stimulant. Gets the mind flowing. And it's nice to have something to casually sip on while thinking.

Had to belt down gas station coffee today.

My preference is a Sumatran medium-dark roast ground fine in a french press. I like the subtle fruit tones and hint of chocolate in the aroma.

Despite that, when I can get it, I'll default to medium organic Yirgachefe from Ethiopia that my local source gets in the summer. Brighter and not as roasty, but there's red fruit, pecan, and a little cocoa in its profile.

No milk. No cream. No sugar. Enjoy the bean as naturally as you can.

my main issue with coffee is that it's just too bitter for me. smells amazing, but in terms of taste, it just doesn't translate.

Honestly, I cant taste bitterness the same way most people can. I lack the gene or something. So when I drink an IPA, all i get are fruit and botanical flavors. So a low bitterness coffee doesn't do anything for me. Still, I'm always up to try something new.
