You'd need to research it first I'm afraid.

I hope I didn't take too many liberties with my post. Let me know if I did.
I use my NationStates stats, because a population of billions/trillions and an economy of hundreds of trillions is totally viable, trust me.
But seriously, aside from the population and GDP, just assume that my NS stats are roughly accurate.

I'll make the Heavy MA one of the damaged components (It'll be very, very hard to fix) and place one missile lancher and one light MA in the operational category if that's alright. Will decrease crew down to 40 (literal skeleton crew, that). I'll make those changes in a bit as I have no PC access atm.

Is that acceptable?

EDIT: Application has been fixed as above.

Stat Rankings: Brawn 10/Brain 30/Heart 15/Guile 25
Traits: Psionic
Other: Kasath are a race of 4 armed bipedal humanids originating from the Planet Kasath on the outer edges of the galactic spiral. A tribal, tradition based race, the Kasath seem too rarely associate with the other races of the Intergalactic Community, at times at the expense of their own well being. Generations ago, due to unforeseen events, the ecosystem on Kasath completely collapsed. With the rapid degeneration of the planet's life and it growing increasingly inhospitable, the Kasath people hastily had to initiate a full scale evacuation of their entire civilization. The ensuing panic, along with the planet wide collapse led too an 85% loss of population. The remaining 15% fled to Heisen, a small desert world in a neighboring system and began mining the rich resources located within, with a portion of the population turning to moisture farming to attempt to yield Kasathian crops in the harsh world. Its tough living, but they are a tough people.

Name: Sakol Linyako
Gender: Male
Species: Emyaar
Background: Explorer
Bio: Sakol Linyako was only a teenager when his parents brought him to Sathas. His parents were serving as diplomats to the Sathanni, they reinforced in Sakol the values of virtue and loyalty to the Yaaric Union as his father lost his brother to the whims of the galaxy where Sakol's father blame his lack of loyalty to the Union for his death. His parents were deployed to a settlement in a remote region deep in Sathanni territory as their loyalty to the Union outweigh their fear of Sathanni. Despite not being born in one of the higher castes, Sakol lived a pretty happy life as the move allowed him directly apply his skills for the betterment of the Union while sated his innate curiosity as exploring the planetside of Sathas learned some of the Sathanni culture and the environment of Sathas. Sakol was known in the settlement for going off adventures with clean clothes only to return back home dusty and dirty to the point where one can't see his facial features anymore. However, despite his uppity personality, he was alone for the most part as few Emyaar brought anybody close to his age and those who did leave to safer regions of Sathas to avoid common raids of Sathanni in settlements in remote areas.
However while off on one of his expeditions, he received a radio attack of a Sathanni raid on one of the settlements which caused him to stop his exploration only to turn pale as the report named his settlement as the one being raided. He races back home only to come back in time to see the Sathanni executing the civilians of the settlement in which case he saw the death of his parents. He knew he couldn't help them in his current state and can only sit on and watch as the radio buzzed with the arrival times of the Steel Caste. This event solidifies his loyalty to the Union as the attack was from a disloyal species and the Union was only trying to enlighten the backward Sathanni to their entrance for the galactic theatre. He blamed the raid on the inefficiency of the Union as they found themselves unable to form a proper response to a military threat in which Sakol turned to the galactic world to find the remedies to improve the Union which led to his discovery of the rumors of the Builders possessing ancient technology surpassing current technology. He waited his time to reach adulthood in order to leave the planet but in the meantime was discovering any information he can about the Builders and when he wasn't researching he served as a scout for the Steel Caste locating Sathanni insurgencies and providing tactical advice, on environments, to the Steel Caste Commanders as Sakol was very familiar with the environment of Sathas having explored it during his early teenage years. He realized that this trip won't be possible to do alone and moved to more populated settlements to find a crew to help him on his journey to understand Builder technology which he didn't have to look far as two of his friends: Margon Tojoru and Akuske Qugiri, his scout protection detail, joined him as the first members of his crew and directed him to the proper authorities to request supplies to become an official explorer of the Union where the Union supplied the 7 members where the most notable recruit was Krel Nekrimat who was Sakol's old friend from the homeworld and was a famed ruffian against the Caste System but loyal to idea of the Union.
Equipment: 300 Credits/Senemarys C32/Space Suit/Light Armor
Crew:
  • Margon Tojoru, Head of Security
  • Akuske Qugiri, Comms Officer
  • Krel Nekrimat, Pilot
  • Nisuri Velark, Chief Engineer
  • Ifele Safi, Chief of Staff
  • 4 others
Ship: Brigantine
Stat Rankings: Brawn 10/Brain 30/Heart 25/Guile 10
Traits: N/A
Other: Despite having a unique personality, Sakol resembling the average Emyaar. He stands at 5'9" and has a black fringe hairstyle with noticeable ears being 6" big and a modest body built from all of his exploration and his years of service as a scout. Sakol usually wears his light armor as a precaution to always be prepared for anything at a notice, but when he's not wearing his armor he wears a lab coat with a plain red shirt, black cargo pants, and black combat boots.

You guys ready for really obscure space opera pics? Descriptions to follow, just wanted to get these out before work.

Frigate: Nasledniki Mass-Producible Expeditionary Frigate (NMPEF) as a class is hailed as the single deciding economic decision of the Kopernik-Naslednik War. Naslednik was so successful in its production that millions of the variant were sold off, keeping the Nasledniki economy afloat for decades. The NMPEF will hold out against a few ships its size, and most smaller. It fires a large payload and hopes to survive long enough to fire another. That’s what the crew are for, eh? Smaller ships usually can’t survive two volleys, but the ship is maneuverable and repairable enough to get out if needed. It’s large, it’s cheap, it’s got a great first salvo.

Cargo: 10 units
Weapons: 2 Large Railgun Turrets - 2 Large Gunpowder Turrets
Utilities: Med-Bay.
Utility Slots Available: None
Crew Capacity: 30
Price: 40,000 Credits

Image

Gunship: The A'aru-aru'u Asymmetric Gunship (AAAG) was the result of millions of computer simulations by Welkworp. Using their surplus of resources, in set ratios as mandated by supply and demand, they tried to figure out the design with the best maneuverability and strength in combat. It was by no means the best ship on the market; the surplus materials (not to mention mildly hazardous waste) left over by Welkworp were by no means mainstream combat material. However, given enough computer simulations, they found a tanky, medium-weapon variant to surpass all others they tried. Early responders found the tank too slow for their liking, so Welkworp tacked on an additional engine. Publicly, it has a reputation of being adequate, but the use of hazardous materials makes it a turn-off for most in the inner worlds. Slow? Maybe. Reliable? Occasionally. But it's the best bang for Welkworp's buck, and they can prove it!

Cargo: 50 units
Weapons: 1 Missile Launch System - 2 Medium Gunpowder Turrets
Utilities: EMP, Cloaking Device, Deflector
Utility Slots Available: 3
Crew Capacity: 5
Price: 20,000 Credits

I'm currently about to assault a pirate corvette to liberate some slaves. Same price of credits plus maybe some small amount of fame, maybe.

I'd invest some of the starting cash in gear for your mercs, maybe an assault rifle or two to arm them a bit more heavily or some SMG's for those tight spaceship hallways.

The assault rifle is 160 credits, which is more than what I have. But do I know when the Wicked Grin is going to leave or its location?

Hmm, all right, let's try it and see how it goes. Accepted, welcome aboard. Will add you to the roster.

Bio:Gurku has lived a tough life. Growing up on a cramped, tight-knit clanship, he grew up amongst his large extended family, who migrated across the harsh Outer Rim. The life of him and his fellows was full of hardship, struggle, experience, and hard work.

Gurku's great strength, stamina, and charisma over many years have greatly served his clan, and his fellow Ürtüks, and for his fortitude and steadfastness against the people that may threaten his fellows, and the sins that may ruin them.

For his virtues and his achievements, he became Chief of the Rotõr Clan. But great threats and things are on the horizon for not just the Rotõr, but all Ürtüks.
Equipment: (See background)
Crew:25 fellow Ürtük clansmen and women.
Ship:The Old Sloop.
Stat Rankings:Brawn:10 Brain:10 Heart:35 Guile:20

Other: The Ürtük people are a nomadic splinter group of humans, whose culture, faith, history and resultant anatomy and physiology have resulted in them becoming a separate, exotic subspecies.

Under the leadership of the Prophet Tüktürta(shortened to Tük), his followers, brutally persecuted by angered elites, and rallied commoners alike, they adopted a frugal, nomadic life amongst the stars, which reinforced their already extreme beliefs.

These incredibly tight-knit clans and tribes scattered across space, and were pushed towards the Outer Rim, where their fleets have waxed and waned, their populations grown and shrunk, drawn and scattered, and their culture has morphed and changed. But their immense fortitude and unbreakable faith and spirit have seen them through the toughest of times.

Ürtüks are shorter, stouter, and hardier than normal humans by way of their hard lives and strength-based culture, as well as inhabiting a variety of harsh planets and environments. Ürtüks however do vary much due to their wide diaspora.

PS: Can I have a bigger starting crew?

Accepted, welcome aboard. Hmm, let's keep it standard for now.

Yeah you do, it's in one of the dock-spires that extended vertically from the asteroid, creating Noctis´ jellyfish-like silhouette and you know when they leave, giving you some time to prepare the attack and gather intel.

I have edited my post. I have TGed a concern to the OP, and I may modify my starting gear based on the response. For now, however, I am ready to receive judgement.

For clarification, the edited portion is in bold.
I use my NationStates stats, because a population of billions/trillions and an economy of hundreds of trillions is totally viable, trust me.
But seriously, aside from the population and GDP, just assume that my NS stats are roughly accurate.

Support: Paleo-imperialism, conservatism, libertarianism, Christianity.
