Country Name: République Phénicienne
Head of State/Government: Bachir Gemayel
Type of Government:Republic, Democracy
Capital: Beirut, Liban
Map/location (an actual map or description is fine here) Lebanon, Syria
Population: 13.5 Million

History: After securing independence from France, an effort arose to unite Syria and Lebanon under one flag. Initially, issues around the idea of race as well as cultural differences between Syrians and Lebanese people were a concern, but those concerns were very quickly quelled as time went on and the nation found more success. Initial resistance was met with a new vision for the country quite quickly. On disagreements over language, the country instituted a policy that all official government communications as well as public schools would use French, English, and Arabic. Educationally, the new regime quickly propelled its universities to new heights. The American University of Beirut received new, revised budgets with a new goal in mind: to educate the entire world, not just the Levant. New highways and daily bus services between Damascus and Beirut served to further interests in oil and gas as well as iron, with daily shipments coming into the port of Tripoli and the port of Beirut destined for further destinations. In Syria, Latakia and Tartus were ushered into mass tourism projects, with the best European designers being hired to build lavish resorts targeted at Eastern and Western diplomats. The target for this new nation wasn’t simply to sit idle, it was to become the Paris of the Middle East.Rest is the same as IRL.

Country Name: Democratic People's Republic of Korea
Head of State/Government: Kim Il-Sung
Type of Government: Unitary one-party republic
Capital: Pyongyang
Map/location (an actual map or description is fine here)
Population: 9,500,000
Faction:
History: is a country in East Asia constituting the northern part of the Korean Peninsula, with Pyongyang the capital and the largest city in the country. To the north and northwest, the country is bordered by China and by Russiaalong the Amnok (known as the Yalu in Chinese) and Tumen rivers[14] and to the south it is bordered by South Korea.
In 1910, Korea was annexed by Imperial Japan. At the Japanese surrender at the end of World War II in 1945, Korea was divided into two zones, with the north occupied by the Soviet Union and the south occupied by the United States. Negotiations on reunificationfailed, and in 1948, separate governments were formed: the socialist Democratic People's Republic of Korea in the north, and the capitalist Republic of Korea in the south.
At the end of World War II in 1945, the Korean Peninsula was divided into two zones along the 38th parallel, with the northern half of the peninsula occupied by the Soviet Union and the southern half by the United States. The drawing of the division was assigned to two American officers, diplomat Dean Rusk and Army officer Charles Bonesteel, who chose the 38th parallel because it divided the country approximately in half but would place the capital Seoul under U.S. control (no experts on Korea were consulted)
Nevertheless, the division was immediately accepted by the Soviet Union. The agreement was incorporated into the U.S.'s General Order No. 1 for the surrender of Japan. Initial hopes for a unified, independent Korea had evaporated as the politics of the Cold Warresulted in the establishment of two separate states with diametrically opposed political, economic, and social systems.

Country Name: People's Republic of Korea
Head of State/Government: Syngman Rhee
Type of Government: constitutional republic
Capital: Seoul
Map/location (an actual map or description is fine here)
Population: 19,500,000
Faction:
History: The history of Korea begins with the founding of Joseon (also known as "Gojoseon", or Old Joseon, to differentiate it with the 14th century dynasty) in 2333 BCE by Dangun, according to Korea's foundation mythology.
Despite the initial plan of a unified Korea in the 1943 Cairo Declaration, escalating Cold War antagonism between the Soviet Unionand the United States eventually led to the establishment of separate governments, each with its own ideology, leading to the division of Korea into two political entities in 1948: North Korea and South Korea. In the South, Syngman Rhee, an opponent of communism, who had been backed and appointed by the United States as head of the provisional government, won the first presidential elections of the newly declared Republic of Korea in May. In the North, however, a former anti-Japanese guerrilla and communist activist, Kim Il-sung was appointed premier of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in September.
In October, the Soviet Union declared Kim Il-sung's government as sovereign over both parts. The UN declared Rhee's government as "a lawful government having effective control and jurisdiction over that part of Korea where the UN Temporary Commission on Korea was able to observe and consult" and the Government "based on elections which was observed by the Temporary Commission" in addition to a statement that "this is the only such government in Korea."
Both leaders began an authoritarian repression of their political opponents inside their region, seeking for a unification of Korea under their control. While South Korea's request for military support was denied by the United States, North Korea's military was heavily reinforced by the Soviet Union.

It seems you guys don't really like the events too much, but I'm not entirely sure. I'll set up yet another poll to gauge interest, but for now, events will be strictly limited to requests. For India, my questions are aimed at the period right after partition up until now. Did the 47-48 war with Pakistan happen? How different was the chaos of the migrations from the historical timeline?

It was mentioned in my historical point the 47-48 War with Pakistan was averted. The Migrations were chaotic but not approaching the level of ethnic violence in OTL.

History: Modern Czechoslovakia came into existence in 1918, with the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The nation prospered after the war, having inherited the most industrialized areas of the former empire, and becoming one of the few functioning democracies in central Europe. All this changed in 1938, however, when Hitler demanded to be given the Sudetenland, an area with many ethnic Germans. Without consulting Czechoslovakia, the allies capitulated, and the young republic was stripped of much of its territory, being formally annexed by Germany a year later. After WW2 ended, Czechoslovakia was restored, although the Soviets helped install a powerful Communist Party within the country, which gained more influence as time went on. In 1948, they demanded that the sitting president install a Communist cabinet. Fearing civil war, the president complied. A few months later, a new Constitution was adopted, turning the country socialist. Once the Communists gained power, they began a series of purges aimed at removing opposition members and Titoist sympathizers. In 1949, the nation's first Five Year Plan was adopted, beginning the nationalization of industry.
