After the first event at Watkins Glen, we got our first taste of who's potentially the shining stars of this season.

-Arren Tharshebloze (NIM) blew the local competition out of the water with the win, overcoming a 41 second deficit in just 4 laps.

-Forza Faenza pulled off an impressive 2nd and 4th finish, putting them in command of the teams' standings.

-Elio Aaron, famed stock car driver, proved he's got it in other types of machines with a fifth place.

-Meanwhile, last year's powerhouses of Erin Wakeford and the Monster Rehab duo were almost nowhere to be found, scoring a total of only 4 points between them.

-Rachael Lyndroem was fighting for fourth when she went just a bit too far wide at Turn 1 entering the thirteenth lap, becoming the only retirement of the race. She's not let this get to her, and will be happy to be racing again in Saint-Pie.

Now, we've come to the old Sanair Circuit in Quebec, Canada. It's not held a major event in a long time, not since the IndyCars of the 80s ran around the field and the hot rods thundered down the drag strip in the early 90s. We'll soon see if its old fame can keep going when twenty modern open-wheel masterpieces put it to the test.

The second event of the season has come and gone, and things might be settling in... or they might not.

-The win went to Jennifer Smythe, who before this season few had ever heard of, let alone expected to win, especially driving for Brunswick-Daniels, the team who runs the entire operation out of a single hangar in Bayview. Expectations aren't too high for her to continue to impress, but they have certainly gone up.

-The other finishers on the podium were Rehab's Koenigin and DiHydro's Tharshebloze, the former finally getting last year's champion team off the ground and the latter holding on to the top spot in the drivers' standings.

-Sarian Richmond of the Red Leafs was uncannily jubilant about his sixth place finish. He hopes this and his exploits in future races will let him step out of his uncle's shadow. It was actually just last week his uncle, Charles Richmond, also known as the Chancellor of Esmerel, commented on him in an interview. "To be blunt, we've not seen each other in a long, long time," he said. "He was always an energetic one. I'm proud of him for following his dreams and trying to make it big, but... I wonder how long it'll be before he does something too reckless. Besides, it's difficult to step out of the shadow of a Chancellor of 42 years."

-Atherton Engineering continued to struggle to maintain the reputation of its past incarnation (which we all know did as well as it did by fluke alone) with driver Kerry Louis only securing eighth. Defending champion Wakefield is still yet to score a single point after two races.

-Cygnus Atlantic still seem to be easing into it all, though they aren't discouraged. "It's definitely fun to drive, I'll say that much," Elio Aaron said after finishing tenth. "Not much like the stock cars I've driven over the years. it's a different form of challenge altogether. Me? I'd say the stock car's better. But this is still great." Meanwhile, Rachael Lyndroem was the car in last place out of all race finishers, struggling with what seemed to be handling issues all session, which were also rumored to be the specific cause of her retirement at Watkins Glen. The team say they have found a workaround for this race, coming in at just the right time.

-Non-finishers for the race included Cole Raiden, Dan Poncite, Natalie Altwood, and Ryan Mundy.

Now we continue on to event number three, a 63 lap race around the Dover oval in where else but Dover, Delaware. Open wheel enthusiasts were quick to question bringing the cars to a high speed left-turn-a-thon, but defenders of the move cited the challenge of maintaining speed while keeping it out of the wall would more than make up for it. Simulations so far have proven to be good, and with this being the first of three oval races in the season, it'd better be a good first impression.

NEXT RACE: Grand Prix of Rainier, Forest Cross Raceway (Bridge Circuit), Vertress, Rainier, Esmerel - Thursday, 21 November 2019

With roughly a quarter of the season gone, we might finally, no joke, be seeing the pecking order of it all.

-Last time out in Delaware saw one interesting race, seeing just three of the thirteen finishers on the lead lap. It was once-nobody Julian Paul who won by a margin of +0'06"071, with also once-nobody Jon Kilroy in second.

-Rachael Lyndroem threw aside all of her errors in the season so far and came home with third, with the race resulting in both Cygnus and Rehab getting a serious kickstart to their points tallies. Whether they can keep it up is unclear.

-Despite racing on the East Coast, many points were snagged by Redwood Racing, scoring fourth and fifth.

-Atherton's season continued to crash and burn with Kerry Louis only scoring ninth.

-Erin Wakeford was running as high as sixth when a collision on lap 51 put both him and points leader Tharshebloze out of the session.

-The Red Leafs didn't fare much better, as Marcy Cykes only made it to lap 47 and Sarian Richmond spun his tires on the rolling start, colliding with the wall and putting him out at Turn 2 of the first lap.

And with that out of the way, we head for unique territory. The Forest Cross Raceway's Bridge Circuit will play host to the fourth round. Hosting a spectacular debut WGPC race in season 16, it underwent numerous renovations for its next appearance only to be relegated to testing in favor of Grands Prix in Mytanja and Joushiki Nante Iranai, which many are still not over.

Regardless of salty feelings, there's no doubt this race has got a great chance at being a classic.

Well that's another one down. So what happened last time?

-Arren Tharshebloze (NIM) was the first to make it two wins in the season, absolutely dominating the race by over a minute over second-placed Meredith Cruz (AUS).

-Cygnus Atlantic did the best they've done yet, with third and fifth going to Elio Aaron and Rachael Lyndroem, respectively.

-Atherton Engineering came home with seventh and eighth, normally unassuming accomplishments, however taking into consideration their season so far it's better comparable to winning the lottery. Or going to college debt-free. Or spending less than half an hour in downtown Lapiz Point traffic.

-Moving on, Wanda Allister of Redwood Racing was the only retirement after going too fast around the Centrifuge on the very first lap and colliding with both Marcy Cykes and the outside wall.

-Aside from that, there was plenty of jostling for position, but it was outside the points, so who cares? Well, many do care. But it's not all that important.

Anyways, the next race will be at the simple Atlantic Motorsport Park in Nova Scotia. What's to see? We'll find out.

And now for the news about the previous event.

-Marcy Cykes (NZE) started fourth, took the lead at 1/3rd distance and never looked back. Her victory in the event more than doubled The Red Leafs' point total, and everyone will be watching to see if they can keep it going after a rocky start.

-Alongside Cykes on the podium were two other femme fatales, Katja Koenigin and Natalie Altwood, the latter scoring their first points of the season having started from eighth. It's not been enough for Q H₂ to hold on to the teams' lead, as Monster Rehab have been on the charge, with Koenigin in 2nd and Paul in eighth at Altantic Motorsport Park.

-Kerry Louis started the race from his second pole of the season, but faltered after the race start to come home in fourth.

-Themis scored a back-to-back double points finish, something that in this grid seems all too rare, with Dallara in sixth and Mundy in seventh.

-Points leader Tharshebloze (NIM) had a mediocre event, hanging around 13th place for almost every lap. He still holds the lead, however, by 10 points.

-It was no sunshine for Cygnus Atlantic, who couldn't do any better than two laps down on the leader in 15th and 17th. Currently they're tied for third with Brunswick-Daniels, both at 34 points, and with Lyndroem and Aaron each contributing 17.

-After the events of this race, Cole Raiden (USA) remains the only driver to have no points on the board. More than that, his season has been an utter nightmare the likes of which a Darkrai couldn't cause, placing no higher than twelfth in any event, and failing to finish twice. Obviously, he'll be hoping to "get good" sooner rather than later.

With that said and done, it's now time to move to a track already proven to be a hit with formula racing (at least the dimension we do not speak of says so), the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal. With intense straight sections combined via a series of left-right turns without much runoff, it'll be down to the bravest and not just the fastest to determine the best of the field this time around.

Decided to take one off. But we're back now.



Last time out was a time of upsets.

-Normally stagnant drivers Erin Wakeford (Atherton) and Cole Raiden (Pine Tree) performed dominantly all race long, scoring second and third respectively. The win went to Dan Poncite (Redwood), who'd also come off a string of poor finishes in the previous races. All drivers have now scored at least one point (in technicality, at least five).

-Rachael Lyndroem kept up her midseason shape by finishing 4th.

-Lucua Boullin brought Faenza back into shape, possible, with fifth. After starting their season well they've since hit a slump.

-Katja Koenigin (Rehab) continued her assault on the top points spot still held by Arren Tharshebloze (Q H₂) and now sits within 5 points. Tharshebloze did not score this round, finishing only 17th.

-A heavy incident involving car 19 brought the race to an end under the safety car.

Now for the second and final trip to Esmerelian soil with the first of the Dual Rounds of the championship- the first race at Raleigh Hill Circuit's West layout and the second at its oval Raceway layout. Double the points in a weekend are on offer, but it'll take multiple disciplines of effort to claim them.

After everything that's happened so far, the season's coming to a close faster than most have expected. What's in store for the last few rounds?

-Last time out, Cygnus Atlantic decided it was their time to shine. Their drivers, Lyndroem and Aaron, performed admirably, placing at least second in qualifying 1 and securing the pole in qualifying 2. In the races, the results were a pair of 3-5s, with Lyndroem leading in the first and Aaron leading in the second. All of these antics have pushed Lyndroem to take the lead of the drivers' table by a single point (and the first driver to take it away from Arren Tharshebloze), and Cygnus Atlantic to the top of the teams' table by eight points.

-The individual winners of the day's two races were Marcy Cykes (Red Leafs) on the West Circuit, and Kerry Louis (Atherton) on the Raceway.

-In the first race specifically, drivers of note included Marcus Danforth (Faenza) and Natalie Altwood (Q H₂), both pulling out of a dry spell from the previous events of the season.

-The second race was a much different result to the first, with Jon Kilroy (Brunswick-Daniels), Erin Wakeford (Atherton) and Julian Paul (Rehab) doing well.

-However, troubles befell Arren Tharshebloze and Katja Koenigin in both races, with both failing to score in each and making no headway on the points battle, which allowed former outsider Lyndroem to steal the lead away in just one weekend after being 15 points back.

Only four events remain. Two of them are dual rounds, so there's a total of ninety-six points up for grabs. As the points leaders are only on 41 and 75 points respectively for the drivers' and teams' standings, there's still plenty of chances for anyone to win.

The first of the triplet of US races coming up brings the series to the simple Lime Rock Park in Connecticut. Let's go ahead and begin.

Where it's all to play for.

-Last time out at Lime Rock, Marcy Cykes (Red Leafs) rocketed to the front and finished there to tie Rachael Lyndroem for the points lead. Cykes has won three of the last five races, easily turning her from a championship outsider to a serious contender- though her poor consistency leaves much to be desired. Aside from race two, which she finished in ninth, she's either won the race, or scored no points at all. Lyndroem, meanwhile, has won no races, but has a clean streak of good finishes to keep her points position, having finished in the top 5 6 of 9 times. Whichever approach will be the winning one is, of course, not yet known.

-Aside from the victor, other strong finishers included Julian Paul and Kerry Louis, who rounded out the podium, Louis especially coming within two points of the drivers' lead, and Wanda Allister, who scored her third fourth place finish in a row. Lyndroem rounded out the top five. Katja Koenigin, having held a decent points total for much of the season, hadn't yet had a breakout moment, and didn't do so at Lime Rock, either, with sixth.

-Arren Tharshebloze's season hasn't crashed and burned, but it has come to a screeching halt, having scored no points in the past five races. He's still easily in the championship hunt at a four-way joint fourth place, but he'll need a strong drive this time around to really get back into it.

The penultimate penultimate round brings us to the New Jersey Motorsports Park for the second of the three Dual Rounds, first on the Lightning Circuit, then on the Thunderbolt Circuit.

Round 6: New Nexus Tower Run

Going into the final race of the season, nine competitors have the ability to take the WGPi Drivers’ Championship through victory in the New Nexus Tower Run, a double-length event worth double points. Racers will first qualify with a single, pedal to the metal lap around a tricky circuit in Sunray Community, marked by two hairpins on either side of a long, long back straight. After lapping that circuit through most of the race, they’ll then leave the track to sprint through the First City with the finish before the shining beacon of the Imagination Nexus itself; the first to the home of the Wardship will take the win.

Where real life can go suck it.

-In New Jersey, two of the final five points opportunities were dealt with. Here's what we're looking at heading into the last section of the season.

-In Race 1 Rachael Lyndroem (Cygnus) took her first win of the season with a sixteen second margin over Kerry Louis, seemingly capping off an incredibly strong run of top 5 points finishes. That is, before she also finished in third in Race 2, continuing to hold a remarkable run. She now sits well in the lead of the drivers' standings with 72 points, 12 clear of second-placed Wanda Allister (Redwood) and 13 clear of Kerry Louis (Atherton).

-Other championship hopefuls are Julian Paul (Rehab), Marcy Cykes (Red Leafs), Arren Tharshebloze (Q H₂), and Katja Koenigin (Rehab), holding positions 4 through 7 in that order. Koenigin, the lowest of those, sits on 44 points, 28 back from Lyndroem. Just about everyone behind that is only in the championship due to math.

-Additionally, last time out we saw our first few drivers be eliminated altogether due to having too few opportunities to catch up in points before the end of the season. Natalie Altwood (Q H₂), Sarian Richmond (Red Leafs) and Ryan Mundy (Themis) all fell beyond the 48 point cutoff in New Jersey. Erin Wakeford (Atherton) and Marcus Danforth (Faenza) remain exactly on the cutoff line, which to still win the championship would require winning both the pole and the first prize for the final three races without anyone ahead of them reaching beyond 72 points, in which case the driver that did so would win against Lyndroem on countback. To put it mildly, it's a tall order.

-Back to the races itself, Jennifer Smythe qualified on pole for the first event on the Lightning Circuit, and came home with a decent sixth. Kerry Louis qualified in second, and almost won except for a blinding charge by Lyndroem in the closing laps. Rounding out the podium in Race 1 was former dunce Cole Raiden, having started his season off horribly before coming back with a couple of podiums.

-Having been tied with the lead before the event, Marcy Cykes was under pressure to do well. Instead, she didn't score in either race, putting her much further back from the top of the order.

-Other notable finishers included both Dan Poncite and Wanda Allister, who rocketed Redwood Racing five points back of the teams' lead in comparison to Cygnus. The plucky team from the West Coast may just dominate against the series around the East.

-In the second race, Julian Paul took home the gold, followed by Allister, Lyndroem, Boullin, and Kilroy.

-It was unfortunately a round to forget for Elio Aaron. Finishing no higher than seventeenth in either race, he'll be facing pressure to help the team effort out in the last couple of chance he has.

Now, with just two rounds to go, we head for the final Dual Round and the final oval track, at the infamous New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon. The first race will take the drivers around the road course, the second the oval, the track's second Dual appearance in two seasons.

It's time for everyone to lick and send. 48 points remain.

Christmas happened and I got burnt out. But (by my time zone at least) I'm still finishing this before the end of 2019.



To be honest, looking back each time is getting boring, and the end is near anyways. Instead, let's just look ahead at our final event.

-While it originally wasn't to happen, when the GP in Huntington was removed the Esterlonians demanded a race be held somewhere. Eventually, with so few at spec circuits available, the race ended up at a location barely in the realm of Esterlon. Instead, it's in the Victorian Isles, an island chain linking Esterlon and Esmerel, in the town of Bridget Hills.

-After a hotly contested championship, we're down to just three drivers and teams each eligible for their respective championships.
--Representing the drivers' table we have leader Rachael Lyndroem on 82 points, second place Julian Paul on 76 points, 6 back, and third place Wanda Allister on 69, 13 back.
--In the teams' race we have the three teams also competing for the drivers' title, albeit in a different order. Redwood Racing holds the lead on 134, Team Monster Rehab has second place with 130, four back, and Cygnus Atlantic has 126 points, eight back in third place.

Drivers' Possibilities (You like stats? Here you go.)
-Should Lyndroem finish first or second, she wins the drivers' title by default.
-If she scores third place, Paul must both win pole and the race to break on countback.
-If she scores fourth place, Paul must win at least the race. If she scores fourth and the pole, Paul will win if he finishes first.
-If she scores fifth place, Paul must finish second or higher. If she scores fifth and the pole, Paul cannot finish second to win.
-If she scores sixth place, Paul must finish third with the pole or higher.
-if she scores seventh place, Paul must finish third or higher. If she scores seventh and the pole, Paul cannot finish third to win.
-If she scores eighth place, Paul must finish fourth with the pole or higher.
-If she scores ninth place, Paul must finish fourth or higher.

-If she scores out of the points, Paul must finish fifth or higher, assuming Allister does not win.

-Allister must win to have a chance at the title. It will be denied if Lyndroem finishes eighth or higher or if Paul finishes fourth or higher. If Lyndroem finishes in ninth and Paul fifth or lower, and Allister wins, Allister would win on second place countback (both have 1 win, Allister has 1 2nd to Lyndroem's 0)

WGP3 ENZ Championship Official Intro Music

Togonistani Motorsport Association (TMA), in association with Kalmarlundiska Motorsportförbund (KMF) and Federacija Avtomobil na Kassegrochia (FAK) is proud to announce the creation of WGP3 ENZ Championship. The series have been created in order to provide young drivers a chance to compete in open-seater series which would act as a stepping stone to WGP2 and, eventually, WGPC. WGP3 ENZ Championship operates in three different nations consecutively, all of which belong to Eastern Novapax Zone.

Technical Regulations:

All teams are using the KM-T150 chassis along with KM 2.5l Kaieke-1 engine provided by Kaylan Motors, in order to ensure a level playing field for all the drivers and teams. Also, all the tyres will be provided by Diamant, with drivers having a chance to use 2 different dry tire compounds (soft and hard) along with intern and wet tyres.

Race structure and scoring:

For WGP3 ENZ Championship, race weekends last for two days instead of the usual three, with practice sessions on Friday and both Qualifying as well as Race sessions on Saturday. Drivers go through a 3-shot qualification session, followed shortly by a full race session. Points are awarded for finishing in the top ten, using the following formula:

1st - 20 points
2nd - 15 points
3rd - 10 points
4th - 7 points
5th - 6 points
6th - 5 points
7th - 4 points
8th - 3 points
9th - 2 points
10th - 1point
+ an additional 2 points for the fastest lap of the race

Calendar:

The series last from January to March and contain 7 races across the nations of Togonistan, Kalmarlund and Kassegrochia.

Teams & Drivers:

6 teams from 3 nations are competing in the 2020 season, with drivers from 5 different nations.

Drassen Military Airfield
Race distance: 30 laps
Conditions: Dry

The season started off with Drassen GP hosted in Drassen Military Airfield. The airbase, normally used by Togonistani Air Force, had been turned into a temporary 3.2km-long racing circuit, leading through the airstrip runaways and runoffs on the banks of beautiful Gulf of Drassen. The morning qualification saw Kaylan Junior Team drivers Lui Tamatuna, Darian Vilau and Miles Tulau making a clean sweep with all 3 cars taking the top 3 spots. This however did not leave any room to breath for them, as the competition during race proved to be fierce. The whole race turned out to be a spectacular event with lot of battles involved. The first incident happened during lap 2, where Enrico Palamo collided with Arona Fuga, thus making the latter spin out into a wall and force him to retire. The crash did have an impact on both sides though, as Palamo had to retire later on due to a suspension failure. Another incident happened during lap 28, when Miles Tulau, having just driven a lap which turned out to be the fastest one of the race, suffered a tyre puncture while fighting Sasha Thornsk for the top spot, causing him to spin out and bring a safety car out on the track. The race eventually saw Natanyan driver Sasha Thornsk winning the first event of the season, a hard-fought victory putting him on top of the standings for now.

Event 2: Koldovstorez Gran Pri
Koldovstorez Street Circuit

Conditions: Light Rain

The second race of the season was held at Kolsovstorez Street Circuit in Kassegrochia. The 2.3-km long street circuit with it's many tricky corners and tight straights, a challenging course on it's own, was made even more difficult with the light rain going on throughout the whole race day. The conditions on track put drivers and teams in front of a dilemma of picking between dry and intermediate tyre compounds. First incident happened during qualification, where Linus GP driver Tavita Fualema crashed into a wall on his second attempt, thus ending the qualification for him. Although the team did their best to get the car back into acceptable condition for the race, Fualema still had to quit the race in early stages due to a suspension failure.

Speaking of rest of the race, it proved to be another marvelous event with weather and team strategy playing a huge part in the outcome. Multiple incidents happened during the race, with turn 2 proving to be a ''death corner'' for drivers such as Petrov (Team Mirkov), Afakasi (Domerton Motorsport) and Gudjonsen (Bergren GP Team) who all lost grip and ended up in a wall while taking the curve. Also, several collisions happened during the race, one of the more notable ones being Arona Fuga's attempt to overtake Kevin Iklasson during lap 33, resulting in the two touching wheels and the latter spinning out into a wall.

Eventually, the race was won by Kaylan Junior Team driver Miles Tulau, followed by teammate Lui Tamatuna. A surprise final podium place was acquired by Xelarate Racing Academy driver Fili Faraimo, who opted for a late pit-stop strategy during the race, allowing her to raise all the way up from 17th grid spot to 3rd place.

With this result, Sasha Thornsk (Linus GP) retains his 1st spot in the driver standings, although opponents are not too far away. Miles Tulau (Kaylan Junior Team) makes his way up to 2nd place with teammate Lui Tamatuna taking the 3rd spot for now. The series continue on February 8th at Nachekovring Avtodrom.

Event 3: Nachekov Gran Pri
Nachekovring Avtodrom
Race distance: 30 laps
Conditions:Heavy rain

Third race of the season at Nachekovring Avtodrom. The 3.5-km long racing circuit is one of the fastest tracks on the calendar which, under normal circumstances, would give drivers a chance to push their cars to the max on it's long straights and simple corners. However, the race day in Nachekov saw a heavy rainfall accompanied with a temperature of mere +2C, causing the drivers to be way more conservative in their approach and punishing those who went for too big of a risk.

With qualification seeing Kaylan Junior Team's Lui Tamatuna picking the pole, followed shortly by Sasha Thornsk and Darian Vilau, the race was set to begin. Indeed, the event turned out to be a test of drivers patience and consistency, with first incidents happening in the early stages of the race. Marius Afakasi, after having a great start and raising all the way up from P8 to P5, lost control of the car at lap 2, causing the Domerton driver to crash into Miles Tulau in front, resulting in an early retirement for both of them.

The next retirement happened for Bergren GP Team driver Kevin Iklasson, who misjudged a corner while attempting an overtake on teammate Martin Eklund. Iklasson spun out and ended up in a barrier. Various similar incidents happened during the race, with Losi Fanaafi suffering a similar fate on lap 20, as well as Team Mirkov drivers Maxim Petrov and Timur Apuhtin losing their guard in late stages of the race, colliding into each other and, despite being able to continue, losing a lot of valuable time and finding themselves in the back of the remaining grid. Perhaps the most unfortunate incident, however, happened to Bergren's driver Martin Eklund who, having managed to raise all the way to the top and into the lead, lost control of his car at the very last lap of the race right before the finish line and slid himself into a pit wall, mere few meters before the finish.

Thus, the race at Nachekov was won by Kaylan Junior Team driver Darian Vilau, followed by teammate Lui Tamatuna and Domerton driver Timoti Aiani. The result sees previous leader Thornsk dropping in the drivers standing to 3rd place, with Vilau and Tamatuna taking the 1st and 2nd for now. The series continue on February 22nd at Race24 Bana in Virkestad, Kalmarlund.

Event 4: Virkestad Grand Prix

The fourth race of the season took us to Rece24 Bana in Virkestad, Kalmarlund. The nice dry weather, although a bit cloudy provided a relatively simple race for the drivers there, who truly floored the pedal and showed us some spectacular performances. Starting with the qualification round, we saw Lui Tamatuna taking the pole position, followed by Sasha Thornsk and Darian Vilau.

The race however turned a lot upside down, as Bergren driver Martin Eklund shuffled the cards completely. Having placed p15 in the qualifying, the Kalmarlundian driver kept a cold nerve and raced to the very last moment of the GP, taking revenge for his last lap retirement during the previous race and eventually climbed the ranks all the way to the 2nd step on the podium.

Another surprise podium got achieved by Marius Afakasi (Domerton Motorsport) whose race strategy and great tyre management allowed him to climb from P10 to P3. The race win, however, still went to the Kaylan team driver, who this time turned out to be Darian Vilau. Solid performance throughout the race allowed the Togonistani driver to take that top spot.

With this result, we have a new leader in the drivers standings with Darian Vilau moving to the top spot. Also, Sasha Thornsk lowers the gap with Lui Tamatuna to mere 2 points. With half of the season over, we are sure to see an interesting battle for the drivers title during the remaining 3 events. Also, looking at the team standings, both Bergren as well as Domerton have moved up on the table. While there are doubts anyone is able to push the manufacturer team from the throne with this gap, nothing is certain lower in the standings and it will be interesting to keep an eye on these results as well.

Event 5: Anderstad Grand Prix
Anderstad Raceway

The fifth race of the season took place in Anderstad, Kalmarlund. Another dry weekend provided perfect conditions for drivers. In qualification, we saw Kaylan Junior Team driver Lui Tamatuna set a lap time of 2:32.042, which proved to be enough to secure P1 on the starting grid, followed by teammate Darian Vilau and Bergren GP Team driver Martin Eklund.

The race gave us a lot of fierce fighting for the top positions, with lead constantly changing throughout the race. Despite overall clean racing though, the race did have a few incidents, one of which happened after Domerton driver Enrico Palamo suddenly lost power from his engine, thus making the car be stuck standing in the middle of a corner. Unluckily, Bergren driver Kevin Iklasson collided with the standing car, thus causing a DNF for himself.

Another incident happened during lap 22, where Linus GP driver Páivi Estevão had a run-in with his teammate Tavita Fualema. The duo was fighting each other on the back of the grid, while Fualema closed the door on the Tödlichebujoki driver in a corner, causing the latter to collide into a wall and break his car's front left wheel in the process.

Meanwhile, a curse seems to still be stalking Bergren GP Team driver Martin Eklund, who suffered a tyre puncture on lap 24. The Kalmarlundian driver was contender for a top 3 finish, until his front left tyre let him down, causing Eklund to pit and put himself out of the game.

The race victory went to Linus GP driver Sasha Thornks, making it 2nd victory of the season for the Natanyan driver. The strong result puts him in a great situation before the final 2 rounds of the championship, keeping Thornsk as a solid title contender. Thornsk was followed by Kaylan Junior Team drivers Darian Vilau and Miles Tulau.

The series continue on March 21st in Edrana Race Park, Togonistan. Nothing is clear in the championship yet and the final two rounds are promising to be interesting.

Event 6: Edrana GP
Edrana Race Park

The penultimate round took us to Edrana Race Park in Togonistan. A small, 3.2-km long circuit with it's many tricky bends requires some good patience and control over their car from the drivers. Qualification saw Linus GP driver Sasha Thornsk taking the pole, followed by Lui Tamatuna and Miles Tulau.

Moving on to the race, it turned out to be one of the calmest races of the season, with no major incidents. Although, we did see some great racing with multiple overtakes and some great team strategy once again. Arguably, Fili Faraimo could be considered driver of the day here, as her pace, great driving and amazing team strategy brought her all the way from P17 to a very solid P5 finish.

With the Sasha Thornsk having secured P1 in the qualification round, the Natanyan driver managed to hold this position for the duration of the race, bringing in another victory for him. Followed by his championship rival Darian Vilau and another Kaylan Junior Team driver Lui Tamatuna.

With this result, the gap between the two drivers has been reduced to 5 points and it is all to be decided in the final round of the season. Stay tuned for the final round in Hwoarang Racing Circuit, where we will see the first WGP3 ENZ Champion being crowned.

Event 7: Hwoarang GP
Hwoarang Racing Circuit

The final round of the championship took us to Hwoarang Racing Circuit in Togonistan. The 4.025 km-long track is one of the fastest tracks in the whole Novapax region. Built on top of the old military airbase, the surface is generally very flat and the elevation changes during the course are really abysmal. With multiple airstrips integrated to the circuit, the wide straights allow for great overtaking opportunities with the use of slipstreaming, accompanied with some sharp corners at the end to truly pull of some spectacular maneuvers. The long runoffs on the either side of the track can encourage the drivers to truly go for risks during the race.

Qualification was topped by Lui Tamatuna, followed by Darian Vilau and Sasha Thornsk.

Moving on to the race, the final round turned out to be an exciting race with the championship rivals battling it out to the last breath. An overall clean race, with only one major incident happening during the early stages of the race. During lap 6, Domerton driver Timoti Aiani suffered an engine failure, leaving him stranded in the middle of the road and resulting in his teammate Marius Afakasi crashing into him, shorly followed by Linus GP driver Tavita Fualema also getting stuck in the middle of rubble. The 3-way DNF brought out a safety car for 4 laps, after which the race went on.

Following a tight battle, the race was eventually won by Kaylan Junior Team driver Darian Vilau, who also secured the drivers championship title with this result and, thus, was crowned WGP3 ENZ Champion. Following Vilau in the standings were Sasha Thornsk and Lui Tamatuna.

Thus, the WGP3 ENZ Championship has come to an end, with another season already being planned for the next year. Meanwhile, we are eager to see what will happen to drivers who participated this season. Will we see some of them again next year? Will some of them make a move to WGP2 or, perhaps, even WGPC? With these young prospects, nothing is certain and we might very well have witnessed the first chapter of a possible future racing legend.

Meanwhile, we would like to thank all the fans who kept an eye on the championship. With a current season of WGP2 still ongoing and the upcoming WGPC season already in sight, the world of motorsports sure has a lot else on offer for enthusiasts to keep an eye on.
