It has been the fifth time Shanghai, home to one of the largest economic hubs in the world being cut off. The timing between a simple action such as sanctioning not too long ago to the Afghan border bombings and now the Academy's important gateway operations is excessively swift. Though Seski and the boys are lucky to be alive being in the lowest floor of the Command Center served as a bunker, the loss of electricity and the upper floors didn't. Since the A.I. divisions doesn't like the effects of acid as one of its three key weaknesses apart from shock and water, it takes up the excessive radiation as noble sacrifices for the sake of self-defense, acting like a kill-switch. Acid rain from stormy clouds exaggerate the problem over the region due to a wet monsoon season.
