For the second time, thousands greeted our new beloved queen as she landed in splendor befitting the new young monarch. Queen Émérente, her new official regnal title that has been adopted arrived aboard the yacht, the Aurelians with her dashingly handsome husband, Prince Christopher of Gênes and their son, the adorable new Crown Prince Célestin in her arms as they disembarked and were greeted by a crowd of cheering thousands. Césaire Toussainte, Head the new National Assembly organized by the Queen formally welcomed the young Queen to the Kingdom on behalf of the Makonian people.

“Not since Jelena the Great has a Queen been so loved” declared Toussainte, “And now we are graced with Émérente the Liberator!”

The humble Queen Émérente, with her son in her arms recounted her great honor at being elected to the duty of serving as Queen of Makonia, promising that under her rule that Makonia would enter a new golden age, riding from the ashes of the tyrannical reigns of her predecessors and into a glittering celestial future. This is embodied in both the Queen’s new personal dynastic motto, Tout pou Makonia, All for Makonia! As well as in her chosen regnal name. Émérente, unique and distance from the names of the previous dynasty is one of Makonian Creole origin, meaning “Chosen Daughter”. That is the truth. The Makonian people have chosen their Queen, and we have chosen wisely!

Today, the nation was blown away by, what many at first believed to be an uprising, however, what has turned out to be a carefully planned, and approved course of actions. Today, Twenty-Three Corrandmian based corporations, including national giants such as Honan Electronics, Vick Engineering and Hora Aviation, attended a massive commercial conference in the capital city, and began debates over a pressing issue, the frontier. The Dominion itself had currently made little to no effort to create a national space agency, neither having the funds to sustain a stranding fleet, nor the incentive to do so. However, the corporations present agreed that while the nation did not have much to gain from active participation in offworld activities, they did. With this agreement, they set to vote several options, most of which were voted down, however, Jisona Vick of Vick Engineering put forward the idea of a united conglomerate, where all of the member corporations would put forward their full cooperation, and an equal share of profits, towards the goal of exploration and exploitation of offworld resources and assets.With this proposal on the floor, the vote came in, 21-2, and Witt this, the fateful decision was made in earnest. At 19:00 Hours, the final draft of the Founding Pact was signed, bringing the Merchat Naval Conglomerste into existence. With that in order, the conference, now named the Conglomerate Board of Directors, or CBD, set to work voting in a CEO, and this was carried out swiftly and efficiently, with Jisona Vick being given the position, and his son taking his place in his old company. This action has made Jisona among the wealthiest and most powerful men within the entire Dominion, rivaling even the Imperial Family itself in wealth. What he will do with this new found power and wealth is yet to be seen, and many are eager to see where this will go

Crown Prince Baudouin and Princess Sofia welcomed a second child into the world today with the birth of their son, Prince Leopold Philippe of Beliany, named in honor of his paternal and maternal grandfathers, King Leopold and Prince Philippe of Genes respectively. The labor of the birth began early this morning at the palace, and at the request of the Crown Princess, the birth took place there, with the attendants and royal doctors coming to the palace. The Crown Princess gave birth to a boy at 10:46 am today. At 11:00 am it was announced that child is named Leopold Philippe. As the second child of the Duke of Brabant the new prince is third-in-line to the throne of Beliany after his father and older sister, Princess Marie-Sofie.

The Holy Imperial Army Marches

Today in celebration of the Holy Emperor Andreas' seventh birthday in the holy month of January, the Holy Imperial Army marched through the streets of the capital city Reykjavik , where the First Estate quietly moved the political capital to earlier this year, adorning it in scarlet and white that the Holy Empire is known for. The entire Holy Imperial family could be seen there as well as the two young lords guardians and their family. Even Princess Clementina was seen a publicly, playing with Andreas and Erik as well as the young Feynarn children Arin and Quinn who seem to be getting along quite well with the Aeylgarn children, which is well and good as they are currently fostering in the imperial household.

The Holy Imperial Army was wearing their black dress uniforms complete with parade covers and all, the music played the swift war drums of ancient Aellyria as they once had in real battles as the army drilled with their new rifles. It was quite spectacular and the common people were thrilled with the spectacle.

The Holiday season is upon us!

Happy Holidays to the people of Aellyria! As all good Aellyrians know the traditional holiday season starts in mid winter in our culture, unlike the Catholic holiday season which has been introduced and extends our own holiday season quite early. However the traditional holiday of Koliada in which we celebrate the god Oth whom many also call Father Winter brings us into the colder months and gifts us with the knowledge of hot cider and the roast ham a common staple of the Aellyrian diet.

This is celebrated through a local festival wherein the festival goers drink hot mulled cider and wine and drink roasted ham, wear masks and dance around bonfires to keep away the World Eater Jormangandur.

Eberhan Train Disaster!

A de facto state of national emergency has been declared as the fate of the nation hangs in the balance following a train disaster in the mountain village of Eberhan. In the midst of them disaster of the Kaiser and his Family. The imperial family was en route from Dietenhan to Berlin. The route of the imperial train took them from the southern summer estate in Dietenhan north into the Scharfkantig Mountains which were still covered in snow. The high speed rail network that cuts through the mountains is a private one for the use of the imperial family. As the imperial train was passing around a bend near the mountain village of Eberhan with an avalanche, believed to have been caused by inadequate clearly by local authorities allowing for snow to build up and then become sensitive to the high speed vibrations of the train.

The avalanche caught up to the train and crashed into it, resulting in a derailment off the tracks and down the side of the mountain. The first four cars of the train were unfortunately obliterated as they crumbled against rocks at the bottom of the mountain, whilst several other cars are thrown and overturned. Onboard the train were Kaiser Wilhelm III, his wife Empress Marianne, their three daughters, Prince Ludwig and Princess Alexandria, and their three daughters, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Walsrode and their family. Twenty-six people were killed instantly. According to the official report, at the moment of the crash the royal family was in the dining car. Its roof collapsed in the crash, and Ludwig held the remains of the roof on his shoulders as the children fled outdoors.

Whilst the daughters of both the Kaiser and Prince Ludwig were unharmed, escaping the wreckage with the Empress and the Duchess of Walsrode, the Duke suffered an broken leg and Princess Alexandria and the Kaiser are in critical condition, believed to have suffered internal injuries do to blunt force trauma from being thrown during the the crash. The Kaiser’s condition has been deemed critical and potentially life threatening. The Kaiser has been flown via emergency helicopter to Berlin in order to have a team of doctors save his life. Princess Alexandria is expected to arrive in Berlin soon as well. The total numbered injured is not yet clear. A national diet has been called in Berlin, presumably to follow emergency protocol whilst the monarch’s life hangs on the balance. We across the nation, we assure you, are praying for his health.

Breaking news! The two Princesa of Xentiak are in trouble again, while on their college tour around the world, trying to decide which country they will study in the two Princesa ended up at a fraternity party in the country of Polonge last night after slipping their security detail. Things started going downhill from there where the party was interrupted by the local police when there was a report of underage drinking and illegal drug use. The two Princesa were taken into custody when the two were not identified properly, where they then called their legal team and posted bail. It is not yet unknown if the two Princesa tested positive for drugs or alcohol however one could assume they weren't just saying hello at this party.

It is not yet known what punishment, if any, the Princesa will face but we at the Public Eye can only assume how furious their mother, Queen of our wonderful and just land feels about her law breaking daughters.

Shocking announcement from the Zentrumpalast as Prince Ludwig, younger brother of the injured Kaiser Wilhelm III, announced that the Kaiser before being put into a medically induced comatose state, signed a new law of succession. The law of succession, which has been one of Salic Law, in which only male line descendants may ascend the throne has been one questioned for years. As the eldest three sons of the late Taylor III all lack sons, instead having only daughters, there has been pressure to allow for women to ascend the throne. The sudden death of Frederick V in 2075 meant that he had not the time to change the law, whilst the current Kaiser has dragged his feet, hoping for a son.

Now however, as every effort is made to save the Kaiser’s life, he has finally changed the laws of succession for the empire. These Wilhelmine Laws, as they have declared, state as follows:

These Wilhelmine Laws the current law of succession is not changed in order, but rather added on to, with Augusta, Princess Imperial, only child and daughter of the late Frederick V of Riessany as 7th in line to the throne after her cousin Prince Ansgar. She is followed by Wilhelm III’s daughters, so on and so forth. This adoption of semi-Salic law has been regarded as a radical change in Riessen policy. The law also however for many confirms that the Kaiser is on his death bed. The Kaiser’s mother, Empress Mother Auguste has returned to Berlin, and it is believed that he is not long for this world. Prince Ludwig has promised to keep the public updated hourly on the Kaiser’s condition.

The Death of the Kaiser

It is with the most profound regret that we have to announce the death of His Imperial Majesty, Kaiser William III of Riessany, which occured at 4:40 this morning. The bulletin announcing the end was in the following terms:

William III of Riessany's injuries come just two days after the 29th anniversary of his father, Taylor III's death, after having suffered major trauma and other injuries after the Eberhan train disaster on 20 January. William III was frown via emergency helicopter to Berlin and went into emergency surgery. Whilst briefly stabilised, repeated bouts of internal bleeding and ruptured vital organs resulted in him being put into a medically induced coma. Sadly, despite doctors' efforts, William III eventually was, at the request of the Empress, peacefully assisted to rest. He reigned for less than 13 years. He was just 35.

The nation is in a period of mourning for the loss of the Kaiser, as well as the other lives lost from the Eberhan disaster. The Imperial Family ask that their privacy be respected in this time of loss. The state funeral of William III is set for the second of February. Till then the late kaiser shall be laid in state at the Zentrumpalast for visitors to pay their respects.

The Privy Council has convened today to bring forth the issue of the Atmoran Interregnum, HRH the Count of Westmorland the Prime Minister and the President of the Council Lady Ravenswood brought forth that the Atmoran throne lays unoccupied for too long. The Privy Council has come to terms with the fact that the Katherinian line is dead, and that they put to rest the hope that one day that the Katherinian line will return. Atmora cannot remain stuck in limbo for any longer, it must move forward. And because of this, the Privy Council has proclaimed Princess Zoë, Duchess of Tecklenburg as the new Empress of Atmora, Queen of Lieseltania, etc., etc., etc. Who henceforth will be now known as Empress Henrietta II, in honour of Henrietta the Great, the woman we all owe for setting into motion the formation of the Atmoran Empire as we know it. While Henrietta II's accession to the throne puts an end to the six-year Atmoran Interregnum it does end the current Atmoran Civil War, however, with the accession of a new Empress the Privy Council believes it bring a quicker end to this civil conflict.

After sitting on the Aogaian Throne for 16 years, the now eighteen-year-old Queen Sa'ea has officially been coronated by her people in the port city of Wallatua. This crowning of our beloved queen was unlike anything in the outside world, ring true of our proud Aogaian identity.

Queen Sa'ea of Aogau was born to King Iosefa VIII in 2071, and was his only child, and so, when he died prematurely, she ascended the throne at the age of two years old. The Queen, by Aogaian tradition, was put into isolation, cared for by her attendees and priests, who tended to her every need. Whilst there is no 'religion', as outsiders call it, the members of the Aoga Dynasty are recognized as demigods, divine, with the monarch being on par to what outsiders call a god or goddess. As such their lives in this world are filled with rituals and ceremonies. Meanwhile the Queen's uncle, Prince ‘Etuate served as Regent. The Queen became the first Aogaian monarch to personally embark on a state visit, visiting Derita and Genes in 2081 and in 2083.

The Queen then, less glamorously, became the first monarch to hold the mantle as the nation plunged into war in over a century. During the Dutch Invasion of Aogau, the Queen was forced to flee the capital and then the country itself along with hundreds of thousands of other refugees. With the help of the Duke of Alencon, the Queen joined fellow royal-in-exile, Nalla of Kegara. Spending the next two years bouncing around the Aesian continent, visiting Genes, Derita, Beliany and Great Hyruke, the Queen eventually lead a counter-invasion of Aogau. However, the Aogaian independence would be won politically, not militarily as the Dutch took to the negotiation table, granting Aogau territorial expansion in exchange for Dutch Hegemony over the Eacusian continent.

Finally, after being away for three years, the Queen returned to Aogau, though found it a changed land. Her regent was dead, murdered by the Dutch Occupiers alongside thousands upon thousands of other Aogaians who had suffered under the occupation directed by the Dutch Empress herself. Many of the cities in the interior were, and still are, ghostly shells or smoking craters of what they once were, and culturally, the kingdom had been raped by the Dutch Fury. Countless articles of items of Aogaian life, traditions, and beliefs were destroyed by the Dutch Empress, or stolen and shipped to Amsterdam by Princess Ariane, whilst priests, and those unwilling to conform to the Dutch ways were butchered by Prince Arthur.

Many artifacts that had existed for centuries, in some cases thousands of years, were destroyed by the Dutch or now sit on display in Tropenmuseum in Amsterdam. The sheer scale of this cultural robbery has lead to a breakdown and even loss of many Aogaian traditions in a matter of just a few short years, and has yet to be remedied. The famously soft-spoken queen has demanded that the millions of "artifacts" be returned, and compensation paid by the Dutch, to no avail. Meanwhile, the Queen has worked with the Deritain and Genoise companies Martin and Rocheforte to rebuild much of the infrastructure of the nation, with many reconstruction projects ongoing as apart of the Alencon Plan.

The introduction of Dutch ideas have further shaken the nation as now 1/8 of Aogaians now identified as atheists and have started to question the absolutist powers of the monarchy. Queen Sa'ea herself has attempted to distance herself from the divine traditions of her ancestors, reportedly telling people that she is not a goddess, though these statements are not confirmed. The biggest step in this new type of monarch is one that may seem small to outsiders but is a great change to Aogaians. The Queen has taking to walking, and in public. No Aogaian Monarch has ever walked on the earth before, as for part of their divine status, they are carried by a litter everywhere. The Queen, however, has abandoned her litter and has even been known to walk among the common people.

Whilst the old families and nobles, and even the Queen's Privy Council have voiced their disapproval of this new connection with the common people, it has made the Queen the most popular monarch in living memory. And thus lead to the grand ceremony in Wallatua in which the people. The Queen and a few members of her entourage were transversing the seaside streets of Wallatua, near the same spot were the Queen had both left for and returned from exile with a crowd of thousands advanced upon her. The Queen's guards advised her to seek safety, mistaking the crowd for a mob, but the young queen, recently turned eighteen, refused. Instead, she chose to greet her people.

The people, for the first time in Aogaian history, spoke directly to the monarch, expressing their love and gratitude of her, for her work and seeking to follow her into a hopeful future, and thus, wished to present her with a crown of her people. A crown of flowers, including the national flower, the yellow hibiscus was presented to the Queen which she accepted, declaring that she was not simply the queen of Aogau, sovereign of land, but she was instead sovereign of all of her people, at home and abroad, Queen of the Aogaians.

President Eevi Hyvärinen marched into Oskan, the capital city of Nukasta early they morning at the head of Nukastan-Espanard Forces after the city, after being besieged for three months, finally was forced to surrender under heavy bombardment and internal sabotage. The massive battle and siege of Oskan is estimated to have killed upwards up to 81,000 combatant and potentially tens of thousands of civilians, with much of the western and northern sections of the city being destroyed through urban engagement and strategic atmospheric missile strikes.

With the Capitulation of Oskan to Hyvärinen Forces, and Niskanen having been forced to flee into exile abroad, victory has been declared for the newly proclaimed President Eevi Hyvärinen. Hyvärinen Has promised that she shall lead Nukasta, indefinitely, till the nation has been rebuilt and its own national identity strength in the wake of this civil conflict. As such, Hyvärinen has declared martial law over the entire Republic, and ordered a deportation of all foreign private citizens and for all journalists foreigner or domestic to be arrested and taken to Kaarai, for reasons unknown.

With this development, I, along with thousands of others, have been forced to feel further south towards the coast were pockets of the Cabinet, though in shambles, exist. The displacement of so many is feared to cause a refugee crisis on the scale of the Aogaian one in the wake of the Eacusian War, but this time, it is our own government that we must fear.

In light of the Prince Erik Aeylgarns recent DNA test, it has been decreed by the Imperial House that from this day forth the oppression and ignorance of the Aellyrian government towards the first people of Aellyria be put to an end. The first people of Aellyria often called the Inuae people's have been ground down by the thumb of the empire for centuries, forced to hide their culture and ignore many aspects of their lives, not wishing to do this to those who share blood with his cousin, the Holy Emperor has instead recognized the Inuae people as a group equal to Aellyrians and seen as Aellyrians. Charlotte Overthrown in Geneva!

Smoke and revolution are in the air over Lake Geneva as the Grand Council, the legislative council of the principality of Geneva, a small but technically independent state bordered by Connuriste on all sides, overthrow their sovereign, Charlotte, Empress of Connuriste. This comes after years of Charlotte’s plummeting popularity in the principality. Charlotte, who had ruled Geneva since the 2050’s, has become hated in her own home town for her utter neglect and incompetence in regards to governing the principality, leaving most of the weight of governance to the Grand Council. As such, after over thirty years of such a situation, it can no longer be tolerated. The Grand Council have accused Charlotte of neglect of her nation, with the queen having not spent more than a night in the principality in the last six years; of embezzling Genevois funds in order to keep up her extravagant and exceedingly eccentric lifestyle; and worst of all of attempting to erode the rights of the people of the principality.

The Grand Council, with members from mostly aristocratic backgrounds, like Charles LeCastle, and with interests in several powerful banks, arms manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies like TCG and Hollande Banks voted on the issue. They decided to remove Charlotte from the throne, and to meet again to elect a new monarch, and to banish Charlotte from Geneva, forever, on pain of execution should she return. The motion was passed by a single vote. With this motion, the Grand Council has absorbed the executive powers of the monarch, and decided to send soldiers to protect the borders. Less than an hour after the vote Empress Charlotte herself attempted to enter Geneva in order to speak with the Grand Council, but was refused entry. When she attempted to drive through a barricade, the tires of her wheels were shot out and she was forced to retreat.

In the Hall of Peace, the administrative building in Geneva ad location of the signing of numerous peace agreements, the marble bust of Charlotte, seats next to that of Jonathan LeCastle, was smashed, and her name scratched out of the records of leaders of the compact metropolis.the Grand Council’s schedule for future sessions are as of yet unknown. Shortly after this, Dreyfus House, home of the illustrious Dreyfus Family and lakeside childhood home of Empress Charlotte was seen ablaze, set on fire by an unknown individual. Dreyfus House was infamously involved in a ownership dispute for three years from 2085 to 2088 between Charlotte and her distant cousin, the Dreyfus Family heir Tristan Dreyfus. It was eventually decided that Dreyfus House did in fact belong to Tristan, but Charlotte bought the house for a quarter of a billion pounds. And now that beautiful house is for the second time consumed by flames (the first occurring in 2058 when there was an assassination attempt on Charlotte).

The Holy Emperor expresses distress for the Principality of Geneva

Our most Holy Emperor has expressed his distress for the Principality of Geneva, he is most alarmed by the neglect they have endured and while he recognizes that Charlotte is the true ruler of the region he also desires to ease the regions pain. Our most Holy Emperor has thus offered to allow the Holy Priests of Freyi to operate soup kitchens and shelters within the Principality. The Holy Priests are a relief organization dedicated to providing relief for the poor and homeless, and have petitioned the Holy Emperor himself to request entry into the Principality on a mission of Holy aid. So in light of this the Holy Emperor has extended the offer to the esteemed judgement of the Grand Council to allow this most holy order into their borders.

King Enríkos II announced in royal decree the changing in the line of succession as he attended the christening of his son, the new Crown Prince and heir apparent to the throne of Cinyras.

The King of Cinyras, who infamously has expressed his disdain for children, and has been rumored to behind the assassination of his nephews, has shocked everyone with the grand reveal of his legitimized son, who he had baptized in the grandest ceremony to grace Cinyras since the Kong’s coronation. According to the law of succession set by the king upon his ascension to the throne, the senior most heirs are his own children, as he is the only surviving son of King Loudovíkos (who in turn is the only child of the late King Enríkos). This however was an issue that was mostly considered mute. The King married Prince Christaan of the Netherlands and had showed no interest in producing heirs. That doesn’t mean he didn’t have children however.

The King is confirmed to have ten children by seven different women, eight daughters and two sons, though most have wished to remain private citizens and have not had their names released to the public record. Officially acknowledged is the King’s eldest illegitimate child and daughter, Lady Calliope , whose mother was rumored to have been a gardener’s daughter. Also known is one of the King’s sons, who is now set to become the next monarch after him: Enríkos d’Aurelians.

Enríkos d’Aurelians was born 10 January of 2088 to Princess Elisabeth d’Aurelians, who’d had engaged in a three month long affair with the Cinyroite monarch, though had refused to become his official mistress. When the unmarried Princess found herself pregnant she quietly went to Gênes to stay with her sister. Here she gave birth to a son, who remained under the care of her sister and Gênoise nannies till Elisabeth married Prince Claude of Aurann & Naterasse. The infant Enríkos was made a Count by his maternal grandfather, the King-Emperor of Derita, and sent to live with his grandparents, the Duke and Duchess of Aurelians. The King then began to pursue a relationship with his young son earlier this year and returned him home to Nikosia. Having done so, he decided to legitimize him in secret, organizing his grand debut into the royal court with a christening.

For the occasion the entire Royal Family of Cinyras travelled to the Cathedral of Saint Andreas, where the King was coronated.

King Enríkos II wore a stunning white and cerulean blue suit and cloak, riding boots and silk gloves and personally carried his son, wrapped in the Milanese Royal Christening gown, which all Kings of Cinyras have been baptized in. Alongside him was naturally his husband, King Christiaan and they were followed, surprisingly, by the former king and queen, the retired king Loudovíkos and queen Sara. Princesses Adeline and Daphne were also in attendance. However the trail of royal guests didn’t end there, as the event coincided with a visit from the Makonian Royal Family. Queen Émérente and Prince consort Christopher and Crown Prince Célestin joined the event. As did Crown Prince Claude of Aurann and Princess Elisabeth of Aurann, (A.K.A of Aurelians), the child’s mother; The Petite Dauphiné of Gênes and Grand Duke Nukai were also familial guests, aunt and uncle of the new crown prince. The Duke and Duchess of Aurelians stood next to the former king and queen during the ceremony, the two sets of grandparents looking regal and happy, as did all the guests.

The christening was performed by the Primate of the Synod, the holy council that answers to the sovereign alone. By special royal decree, it was declared before God that the new Crown Prince of Cinyras shall be named, Enríkos Ioannis Loudovíkos d’Aurelians. This comes as a mild shock as this means that the future king and his heirs will be apart of the House of Aurelians rather than the House of Milanes. However as the former heir presumptive was from the House of Valois, this change has been considered mild to most. The King bestowed upon his son, the titles of His Royal Highness Crown Prince of Cinyras, Duke of Gusatàllar and Count of Adoia.

Named as his god parents were his aunt Queen Émérente of Makonia, Princess Adeline of Cinyras, Cece Blackthorn, Prince Karolòs of Valois, J.J. Aurelians and Grand Duke Nukai of Russlande. Crown Prince Enríkos’ christening however would not have been complete without a flare of the dramatic from the King. Often parading as the embodiment of the gods of old Cinyroite mythology and beliefs, the King took things a step further as he proclaimed that his blood itself was divine, heavenly in nature. If one noticed, in the Cathedral of Saint Andreas, the statues and images of saints, angels, and even Jesus Christ and God had all been replaced with images and icons of the King with a heavenly corona around his head. To show off his divine blood, the King then pricked both his and his son till they bled, but they did not bleed red, but gold. How this was accomplished is as of yet unknown to the public, was it a trick of the light? Or genetic design? Or is the King of Cinyras truly divine. In any case, already rumors swirl of a cult forming around Enríkos, God of Love, Beauty and the Sun, around which the universe revolves around.

With a new adorable little biological heir apparent to the throne, and a new religious cult forming, the monarchy has enjoyed a sharp spike in popularity not seen since just after the King’s coronation. Thousands of well wishers have flocked to the streets of the capital to simply catch a glimpse of their newly beloved king and king-to-be. Long live King Enríkos II! Long live Crown Prince Enríkos!

Just twenty-four hours after attending the christening of her nephew, Queen Émérente of Makonia and King Enríkos II of Cinyras sat down and signed the Nikosia Treaty, or, more formally, the Treaty on Cinyroite-Makonian Cooperation and Integration, which has be in the process of creation sense King Enríkos visited three Queen earlier this year in Bagata. Cinyras and Makonia has been friends for years under the Zgela Dynasty, but sense the death of the tyrants last year, tensions have been high for months, sparking a food crisis in Cinyras as Makonia is the biggest exporter to Cinyras. Queen Émérente, unlike her predecessor was not swayed to sacrificing Makonian goods for little national benefiting exchange for having an affair with the King.

Instead Queen Émérente demanded a partnership of equals between the two kingdoms, proposing a formal treaty. Though there is no evidence of such, it is also believed that Queen Émérente had used her nephew, Crown Prince Enríkos, as a form of quid pro quo, demanding he be made heir to the Cinyroite throne in exchange for Makonian food shipments. The Crown of both nations have denied that any such quid pro quo occurred and the two events are unrelated. Thus, with Russen diplomat Grand Duke Nukai as an observer and mediator, negotiations began between the two monarchs. Eventually the Nikosia Treaty was the result. The Nikosia Treaty consists of a total of 28 articles. The six main chapters of the treaty are labeled:

1. Dytician affairs
2. Peace, security and development
3. Culture, education, research and mobility
4. Regional and transnational cooperation
5. Sustainable development, agricultural, environmental and economic affairs
6. Organizations

Among other topics the aim of the contract is to strengthen the cultural diversity as well as to align security interests of both countries. In addition, the contract aims to intensify the cooperation of the defense politics of both countries, including the mutual assistance in potential crisis situations. Perhaps most importantly is the treaty opens up agricultural exports back to Cinyras and plans for joint stellar economic development and recovery projects. Whilst Cinyras is wealthier and militarily stronger than Makonia, Makonia is larger in size and population and the breadbasket of the continent. Together then, it is seen that they can create a strong team with converging interests and strengths. Some critics have claimed that the treaty is lopsided, with it seeming as if Queen Émérente is the greatest benefactor, but in truth she has leveled the playing field, getting Makonia to be treated as an equal rather than the personal farm of foreigners. The Nikosia Treaty marks a triumphant change in the geopolitics of Dyticia, as Makonia is no longer the junior partner in its relationship with Cinyras, but now equal, if not senior.

While some have questioned having two equally forgeign women such high amounts of prestige in the Holy Empire, the First Estate reminds us all that the real power is still in the hands of both the Holy Empire and the seat of the First Estate.

Margaux Viaene, external auditor from the League of Harmony’s Board of Auditors, tasked with inspecting and checking the financial accounts of the League, and to serve as a neutral independent party in times of financial murkiness such as the state of funds in Geneva in the last few days, has arrived in the prince-less principality. Following the overthrow of Charlotte of Geneva, who’d ruled the wealthy city-state for 31 years, there was immediate international concern over the events unfolding in one of the capitals of peace. Seeing the events unfolding in the principality as more politically driven than militarily, and noting the cause of the events was the claim of neglect and fraudulent activity by the sovereign princes, Secretary-General Babajide appealed to the Board of Auditors to take lead in resolving the situation. With the agreement of the Grand Council, Margaux Viaene is serving as overseeing of an audit of the government finances of the Principality of Geneva and the personal and business accounts of the princess of Geneva over the last six years. The process is expected to take no more than two to three months. After which Viaene shall release a report that will potentially either clear the name of Charlotte of Geneva, or condemn her. From there an advisory team will proceed in assisting the situation come to a swift resolution peacefully.

As the Grand Council Margaux Viaene start their investigation into the state funds and personal accounts of the Empress of Connuriste, a shocking development has taken place. Charlotte of Geneva has disappeared. Not taken flight mind you. But disappeared. The Empress of Connuriste and fellow lawyer, Karoline Schachtler were last seen walking together down the waterfront in Culley, just several miles east of the imperial residence. Fittingly the waterfront with it beautiful well manicured lawns, ornamental trees and statue of Connor II and Charlotte is one of countless community infrastructure projects that Charlotte directed in the 2070’s, which according to some may have been funded by unknowingly by Genevois taxpayers.

The Empress and Schachtler have been seen together around Lausanne recently, suspected that Schachtler will help defend Charlotte against any legal problems that occur from the Viaene Investigation in Geneva. The Empress and Schachtler have reported taken strolls through the greenways around Lake Geneva before with few, usually two attendants with them. Following a dinner at the Les Cullayes Botanical Garden, of which the Empress is president of the board of directors of, an botanist herself; at around 6 PM, the Empress asked Schachtler to accompany her on a further walk, this time through the Culley Royal Waterfront parkland along the shore of Lake Geneva. Schachtler agreed; the walk may even have been her suggestion, and she told the aides not to join them. Her words were ambiguous ("No attendant may come with [us]") and whether they were meant to follow at a discreet distance is not clear. The Empress herself has tended to travel with light security in favor of blending in. The two women were last seen at about 6:30 PM; they were due back at 8 PM but never returned. After searches were made for more than two hours by the entire castle staff in a gale with heavy rain, at 10:30 PM last night Schachtler’s body was discovered by the lake shore in Grandvaux, .8 miles west of Culley, floating face down in a few feet of water. Rain has made gathering evidence difficult but investigators believe the two women walked down into the water. From there events are unclear. Empress Charlotte’s earrings and diamond crown were found near the shore with a note addressed to the Emperor.
