Valentijn prepared himself once again, making sure that his suit does not have any openings on it. The last thing he wanted, he thought, was to give his guests the unintended radiation. Sure enough, after thorough checks on himself, he was pleased to hear that the suit was working at 100% efficiency, taking in the radiation to give off as healing energy, the opposite of harming someone whenever they are near him. He would then check on Clarissa beside him, who stands at an amazingly tall 58 meters in order to be the same height as her husband. She’s sporting a black pixie haircut, along with a blue dress, and many other fashion accessories that she might find herself fancy wearing.
Clarissa Alanis Star Coraline Taissa: How do I look, my dear?
Valentijn Samantha Maxwell Constantine: You look… you look stunning, and amazing! It’s so breathtaking.
Clarissa Alanis Star Coraline Taissa: Hm hm, thank you very much! Ahh, Vallie… it’s so good to meet you and talk to you again after this long while, you know? NSSCRA has been fun, but I miss you all these time!
Valentijn Samantha Maxwell Constantine: Same here, my dear… same here.
As they held hands and just hug it out with one another in front of their dressing table, a doorbell was rung from outside of their room. Knocking would have sufficed for a normal situation, but this is not a normal household, and Valentijn would be living in a giant’s house, while the others are sized like small insects and ants. The telecom rang loudly with a beep, followed by Gwen’s voice.
Gwen Tracer Allison Fate Hepburn: Hi, Val! Hi, Clarissa! Are you guys ready yet? We have already prepared the food as you guys said! You might want to check that out.
Valentijn Samantha Maxwell Constantine: Awesome, thanks, Gwen! Yeah… yeah, we are ready! We are coming, give us a moment. [He then turned back at Clarissa and touched gently on her cheeks] Time to go, dear. This is going to be amazing!
This dinner is slated to be much more significant than the others, Valentijn thought to himself. The dinner was not just a normal celebration like they had previously; this time, there was also NSSCRA to celebrate, whereby Clarissa and Jolyn have won a few races, while Gwen herself did not perform as shabby and managed to hold a few good places for the races. Gwen, Charmaine, and some other Valentians handled the catering, coming up with many, many types of food that they can find – Chinese cuisine, Indian, Muslim, European, Vegetarian, Kosher, every single thing that they can find, it will end up on the menu. There is, however, a line drawn on exotic food, so there will be no shark fins, whales, or anything too weird like that. Snake meat does not make an appearance this time, mainly because it irked most of the Valentians when it was first introduced – even Marcus disliked it after trying it out, and he’s supposed to be that one Valentian that likes all kinds of food.
The cake, this time, once again measures up 30 meters in radius, and around 15 meters in height. The cake was enormous, with a generous helping of icing on it, and it is mostly vanilla with chocolate and strawberry inside.
Charmaine Marissa Hannah Vera Teresa: Don’t worry, Val! You can’t go wrong with this cake flavour combination! Oh and yeah, we did the wording like you said.
The wordings, that took a while, Charmaine and the rest thought. They have the pleasure of hovering around or tying ropes and doing daredevil aerobatics just to get a few words and decorations on the face of the cake. They tried their very best with it, but it was too difficult. They gave up on the classic icing method, and instead went with the edible paper that one would see on birthdays. The Valentians printed out an enlarged picture of the four Valentians’ cars, as well as some writings on it that says: “CONGRATULATIONS AND WELCOME HOME, VALENTIAN RACERS! A toast to Clarissa, Jolyn, Gwen, and Marcus.”
Charmaine Marissa Hannah Vera Teresa: And there, that was done!
Carissa Beatrice Sammi Trina Natana: Haha, we could have went with this idea a long time ago. I thought the icing would help.
Angela Stella Trista Tan Fang Ling: Trust me, Carissa… nothing good comes out of the icing thing.
Augustine Lorenzo Terry Vinto Stefano: At least it’s not an ice-cream cake… goodness knows that it will melt!
Valentijn Samantha Maxwell Constantine: Haha, this is all looking very fantastic! Excellent, excellent. So…. What do you guys think?
Clarissa Alanis Star Coraline Taissa: Woo-hoo, thanks Vallie! I love it so much, haha! ^^
Jolyn Helen Maxine Caulfield Ceeta: Pretty damn neat! I love that you printed the cars on the cake.
Gwen Tracer Allison Fate Hepburn: Oh shoot wait, I forgot about the car decoration. Anddd here you go!
Gwen placed the 4 replica cars on the top of the cake, making sure that they won’t sink. In the middle is a confetti popper that is filled with edible streamers, in case they land back onto the cake.
Marcus Alan Ariel Baptiste Reynolds: Very nice, thank you, guys! I mean, I only raced once, but I am glad for all these things. I really, really appreciate that.
Valentijn Samantha Maxwell Constantine: No problem, my friends! Well, here’s to hoping that this event will be normal for once-
Just then, an alarm rang inside his helmet.
Valentijn Samantha Maxwell Constantine: Ahh, would you look at the time! I think it’s time for the guests to start pouring in!
The Valentians would be waiting outside of the large White House (Valentijn and the Sixty official’s residence), with some of the Valentians residing inside and either guarding and eyeing the cake, or testing out the music system, or checking that the pinatas are stuffed to the brim with candy. Most importantly, the Valentians were busy checking and auditing that the ADFs are working – Active Defense Systems that would dispense out whatever is necessary to quell off offensives – bullet stoppers, fire extinguishers, anti-magic devices, you name it. Though, the latter is only used sparingly due to the nature of aesthetic magic that the guests could fancy themselves using.
Upon arriving in front and entering the White House, one would find the following amenities:
- The Front – Entering from the front door, the guests would be treated to the statue of a globe, with a plaque at the bottom of it. It reads: “Dedicated to the billions of lives lost to a meaningless war. The war, by nature, has caused deaths, but at the same time, it has brought about the rise of Valentine Z – A self-proclaimed Beacon of Hope for many. However, we must not take this for granted, and safeguard this safety that we all enjoy.”
- After passing through the statue and turning left, one would find themselves at the living room – a large 200 m x 200 m x 150 m room with the cake in the middle, with a generous amount of chairs, home threatre systems, and the like. There is also a bar, tended by Lead Ambassador Germaine, who is there to nurse up people that has drank too much, but primarily to let people enjoy a drink and to let themselves go now and then.
- Exiting through the side of the living room, is a backyard that is around 60 m x 40 m. It is mostly for outdoor functions such as BBQ and the like, as well as launching low-powered fireworks. Pyrotechnics are limited due to the nature of grass and gardens having the potential to catch fire. 3rd Sgt. Tracie will be tending the DJ booth, with requests accepted and fulfillable, though might be rejected if she is not in a mood.
And with that, the Valentians wait eagerly for the guests to arrive, with Valentijn, Valentina, and Clarissa standing outside at the front yard.
