King Kresimir V of Makonia dies at 38 in double suicide with wife, 28 year old Queen Charlotte.

King Kresimir V, 38-year-old ruler of Makonia was found dead of epidermal poison yesterday in Bagata palace alongside his wife, Charlotte of Lüneburg, 28, also dead from the same mysterious poison and 8 hours later the Makonian royal privy council named his son, Crown Prince Kresimir, 7, as the new King.

The Makonian police director-general told an emergency session of the royal privy council last night that the King's and Queen's deaths were self-inflicted, a double suicide via poison that the two gave to one another.

The relatively young King, whose death occurred on the eve of a projected trip to the newly established Makonian colonies, had been dealing personally with protests in the city for the last two days. He arose yesterday and took some medicine and communicated with the capital city's chief of police before suddenly canceling his schedule. Nothing was known of his actions from that time until his and his wife's bodies were found by a servant in the bedroom about 3 p.m.

The entire nation was stunned by his death. The King had gained little popularity, being conferred the title of Kresimir the Tyrant for his authoritarian policies and brutal crushing of the constitutionalists two years ago, whilst his wife Queen Charlotte has been called the Evil Queen for being the chief architect in the creation of concentration camps and deportation of millions, sparking a massive refugee crisis. The royal privy council unanimously affirmed Kresimir and Charlotte's son, Crown Prince Kresimir as the new king, selecting the regnal name of Kresimir VI, rising together to signal his succession with a chant.

Kresimir VI, the new king is seven years old and currently attends a private elementary academy. The royal privy council also appointed a three-person council of regency to guide the new king in matters of state. Prince Sunjia Zgela, grandfather of the new child king, told the legislature he would recommend a premier to the new regency, but legislative sources said there was little doubt that the former business mogul himself would receive the post.

Instead, heading the regency council is 48 year old Princess Vasnja, daughter of Princess Jagoda and first-cousin of the late Kresimir V, who is to be the chief executive figure in this new regime of the kingdom. Princess Regent Vasnja's young, attractive daughter, Princess Vasnja Đurđević, was prostrate with grief as she joined her mother at the palace in these grim times for the royal family.

King Kresimir was born the grandson of the late Queen Jelena III, the only child of Princess Elena of Makonia and Sunjia Zgela, and made history marrying Polongian princess, Charlotte of Lüneburg, granddaughter of then Empress Josephine of Polonge, with whom he had two children, Kresimir and Elena. Kresimir rapidly ascended the throne following the tragic deaths of his mother, grandmother and his aunt, Queen Mateja who was assassinated shortly after ascending the throne herself. Disaster dotted his reign as Bagata burned in a devasting fire, and a massive displacement crisis was brutally mismanaged by the Queen.

King Kresimir and Queen Charlotte's private lives were mostly confined to the royal palaces of Makonia, his fellow monarchs, notably neighbors Cinyras and Racraigua as the king existed aloof to the lives of his subjects, instead, bending to the interests of the wealthy and powerful both domestically and abroad. The double suicide of the King and Queen is a mysterious one, with the poison believed to have been the same substance found in the mysterious deaths of the late Queen and King of Aellyria and there has been some speculation of a connection to the death of Prince Arthur of the Netherlands.

At this time there is no evidence of foul play in the death of the monarchs. Mourners were far and few in between as many had little love for the pair, especially with the massacre of yesterday done on their orders still fresh in the memories of the citizens, with hundreds still fighting for their lives. It is hoped that the new reign of this new child king, Kresimir VI shall mark a change in the relationship between the monarchy and the people with the popular Princess Vasnja leading as Regent of Makonia

This morning at 9:00 A.M homeland time, the First Estate announced that it would be accepting more applications for residency within the nation and colonies of the Holy Empire for those who meet the criteria. As a traditionally isolationist nation, this comes as unprecedented to the people and government of Aellyria. This has resulted in a host of varying opinions from the common people, resulting in a massive political debate never before seen in the typically unified nation. One wonders what might come of this new interest in political policy within the culture of Aellyria.

In other news the First Estate has announced that it will be providing an employment program for those newly emancipated by the Emperor and the Holy house of Aeylgarn. This will be further backed by the Vedic Church of Aeyllria, which has slowly coming back into the good graces of the Emperor and the Imperial Regent. Furthermore the Emperor Andreas Aeylgarn and the Prince Erik Aeylgarns birthdays are coming up in the month of Janurary, which has been named a holy month by the Vedic Church and in turn will be celebrated by the nation with a nationally declared holiday, along with the Aellyrian New Year which is coming up around the same time in reference to the old calendar, this announcement is accompanied by the government required message that the old calendar is not to be used for official purposes and will only be used in reference to holidays as to not confuse the international community.

Today at long last Crown Princess Emily and Prince Rafaël of the Netherlands were married in a relatively small and private affair, away from the public and without the grandiosity that some might have expected.

The couple, engaged to one another since 2086 and having been an item since 2081, became husband and wife in front of their families, including the Emperor and Empress of Connuriste, the Empress and the Emperor of the Dutch, the many siblings of the bride and groom and indeed their partners too, such as King Enrikos of Cinyras, Princess Josephine, Prince Roderic and Princess Margaret. Some wider members of the family were also invited, such as King Leopold of Beliany and his partner the famed musical talent Archduke Maximilian, as well as the Grand Duchess of Selesburge. There were a select few guests who didn’t quite fall into the category of family members or their plus ones, such as Zoë, the Duchess of Tecklenburg from Atmora.

Emily’s sister Princess Charlotte acted as the maid of honour, and Rafaël’s brother King Antonio of Spain acted as the best man. After the wedding it is understood that there was a celebration attended by many of the guests invited, which more likely than not will continue into the night. The newlyweds are expected to depart on their honeymoon at some time in the next couple of days.

Given the private nature of the event, we regret to announce that we do not have the surely beautiful pictures from the day, but the royal photographer is due to release a selection of images in the coming days.

King Enríkos’ popularity has hit its lowest point since May of last year when the country was faced with a food shortage, and now once again a food shortage crisis looms over the kingdom following the death of the King and Queen of Makonia. Thanks to the alliance and friendship between King Enríkos and the Queen of Makonia, Makonia became the breadbasket of Cinyras, with its becoming the host of the majority of Cinyroite imports. However, with the sudden placement of a child on the Makonian throne, the Regency of Makonia has decided to renegotiate with King Enríkos over trade, cutting off the flow of food into the kingdom.

Thus, not for the first time, food shortages strike citizens across the nation as imports from other countries fall short of feeding everyone. And with local produce production at an all time low, there is little relief set to come from within the nation’s borders. Action however has been put in place on the orders of King Christaan to began a nationwide rationing of food from the remains of the country’s food reserves, with more food being delegated to those most in need. However reportedly this has been undermined as food has instead been syphoned off to employees in TCG plantains in order to maintain work production of TCG products.

In the eyes of many, this is the fault of King Enríkos and his competence as a monarch. Enríkos as a person has been praised for his good intentions and open mindedness, yet the fact that his entire reign, born in a usurping coup of his own father has been plagued with food shortages and international controversy, many are doubting his abilities as King. The strict reinforcements of the Lèse Majéste laws last year and up to know also only brought more criticism against him, as proof that the young king isn’t up to snuff and can only hold onto power through brute force in the form of his husband’s armies.

The general neglect that the King has shown has only further exasperated many’s opinion, with the kings foreign trips being seen as ways for them to escape the struggles of millions of everyday citizens in Nikosia and in the countryside. The King’s jet was even forced to be redirected in order to avoid the sheer number of protestors. As the Crown continues to host parties whilst TCG plantains continue harvesting Enrikosvilla, one must be forced to ponder if the throne has turned the once beloved people’s prince into a monarch most monstrous.

More bloodshed in the kingdom as Princess Regent Vasnja was found dead in Mauricette Palace

The Palace of Mauricette was the home of treachery and attempted murdered today as Princess Regent Vasnja was horrifyingly discovered murdered in the Emerald Room of the palace, and in the ornate corridors of the royal residence Grand Duke Nukai, grandson of the Tsarina was discovered assaulted and poisoned, but alive. The Grand Duke was rushed to the nearest hospital, where it was discovered that he was struck it seems with the same mysterious poison that was found at the scene of the late King and Queen’s supposed suicide, as well as linked to deaths in Hyruke and Aellyria. This latest event of royal death seems to be just the latest in a saga of a serial killer on the international stage. The murder attacked the Princess regent and then the Grand Duke, who was visiting the kingdom as a peaceful observer of the transition of power following the death of King Kresimir V. Whilst Princess Vasnja died at her assassin’s hands, the Grand Duke attempted to escape and get help, only to bludgeoned with a heavy vase before the assassin escaped out of a window, jumping into the sea.

The greatest twist? The assassin was none other than Princess Vasnja’s own daughter, the lovely younger Vasnja. The younger Princess, who had recently gained some flack for her trip to the Nikosia fashion week, so soon after the death of her cousin and in a country were the common people are faced with a food shortage do to difficult negotiations between our government and theirs, has been revealed to be a murderess. The princess poisoned her own mother and the Grand Duke, hoping to kill them both. And when she was unable to ensure the Grand Duke’s death by poison, she hoped to dashed his brains open with an antique, but when that too failed she panicked and fled out of the palace, perhaps hoping to kill herself or to escape, the answer is not clear. And horrifyingly this was catch on camera. Whilst the security system was found damaged, no doubt the murderess Princess, but a video from the security camera showing the Princess fleeing the emerald room and then attacking the grand duke and leaping presumably to her death has been released.

Grand Duke Nukai is currently still in recovery, but is alive and well and under guard. With the discovery of the method of how the young princess looked to kill her mother and the Russen royal, and taking into account the over dramatic display she gave following the death of the king that she was behind the death of the King and Queen, poisoning the couple and framing it as a suicide, all in a quest to gain the throne of Makonia herself. There is now theories that Vasnja may have been connected to mysterious deaths abroad as well, with flight logs noting that the Princess was in Londres for the preparation of the spring fashion week at the same time as the death of Prince Arthur, a friend of the Grand Duke. It is believe that fearing the Grand Duke, looking to find justice for his friend, might connect the dots, she attempted to silence him.

The death of the regent has lead to a state of panic in Makonia, and rights have broken out as many resort to looting and pillaging in these uncertain times. The King’s royal guard has dissolved, collapsing in on itself whilst the two remaining members of the regency council have taken the child King and Princess to Kresimir the Great Hospital, where the the Grand Duke is recovering as it has become one of the last strongholds in the nation as the rest of the kingdom falls into chaos. An investigation has been opened up, but with the regency council and the king rapidly losing control little is known of what can be accomplished. The last rémanents of the royal family have fled the nation, followed by many nobles and other members of the ultra-rich, abandoning their multi-million or in some case billion dollar homes to fall into the hands of destructive mobs. Princess Vasnja’s body has not been found and this her whereabouts are unclear, as experts say there is a chance she may still be alive. If she is, who knows what horrors she may inflict upon the world next.

As followers of the Pearson Dynasty remains on a high from the wedding of Crown Prince Emily and Prince Rafie, commemorative tea sets and souvenirs reaching spiked highs from online sales, and with the happy pair ready to go on their honeymoon, we here at Royals Life are happy to know that we have plenty more relationships to get to follow as we recently got introduced to Prince Jonathan, sixth son of Emperor Connor and Empress Charlotte, and his new girlfriend, Isabella de Tarancón. Jonathan, just eighteen year old and nicknamed affectionately as Prince Jona, has followed in the footsteps of several of his older siblings by going into the modeling industry though he has had a more affectionate dream towards becoming a musician. It has been as a model however that Jona met his new love interest. Meet Infanta Doña Isabelle de Borbòn Tarancón y Verhone, fellow model and noble. Going by the far shorter and easier to say, Izzie, she is as lovely in her personality as she is in her appearance according to the no doubt love struck Jona.

Jona is the sixth son and twelfth child of the Emperor and Empress of Connuriste, the ultimate middle child. Born on a tropical island that his mother was marooned on at the time with his twin sister Elizabeth Hippolyta “Lyta”, Jona has mostly escaped public attention as he tended to his studies at the prestigious academies frequented by the royals. A skilled guitar player he debuted earlier this fall at the Fashion Week circuit in Vanessa—thankfully avoiding against Makonian assassins— sharing the runway with Izzie. Digging into Izzie, despite her humble lifestyle, she comes from nobility, her mother having a Cinderella-story of her own, marrying a Duke which who she had three children, the eldest being Izzie. A mixed breed, Izzie has family from the Netherlands, Connuriste and Espana, though she herself was born in Gênes, where she lives. After leaving university with a degree in economics, she took to the catwalk in Gênes before meeting Jona.

According to their social media accounts, the adorable couple meet earlier this year, but chose not to get together until after the wedding of Jona’s sister, the fore mentioned Crown Princess Emily, whose wedding Izzie was not in attendance. Afterwards however, the couple launched themselves into a perfect vision of an international tour, flying to the picturesque Racraiguan coast. Here they made a debut at a party not hosted by fellow royals, but by instead by socialite Victòria Estopiña. Here the couple was captivating. But upper class parties nor royal duties would not come to dominate Jona and Izzie’s trip, as they leapt into touring the coast, posting live videos of them riding a motor scooter through the winding streets of the villages built into the cliff sides.

The two are “madly in love” one of their captions says beneath a photo of them posting in front of a Racraiguan harbor. Their views have skyrocketed since their trip began, and whilst they ask for privacy, keeping the next stop on their tour a secret, Jona and Izzie haves thanked their fans for their love and support.

As Anglo-Dutch talks over the fate of Princess Cece and Julian Blackthorn continue, the sword of execution looming over their heads, it is feared that fate might intervene, the two high profile prisoners dying before they can face execution. Both the Princess and Blackthorn have taken ill, but whilst Blackthorn’s State is caught on camera, the Queen intervened on behalf of her imprisoned niece to be shield, state that it is a matter of national affairs that the condition of the Princess’ health not be used to effect the nation’s opinion on her crimes. Apparently however, the Princess’ condition has become exasperated enough that an emergency medical team had to be rushed to the tower to presumably insure that the Princess doesn’t die. The Dutch Empress wants a live criminal to be executed after all.

Following revelations in Makonia regarding the scandalous serial killer Lady Vasnja the Anglo Dutch investigators have fallen into two camps. On the Hyrukian side, the lawyers have been quick to assign the blame to Lady Vasnja, sitting evidence from Makonia that Vasnja had the means and skill to assassinate the Prince of Éirea and Princess Cece’s claim for innocence has been the truth this entire time. On the Dutch side, the lawyers agree that Vasnja had the means, but not the opportunity, how would she have gained access to the home of the Prince and Princess without one of the access keys that only the couple owns and have on their person? Instead, one Dutch lawyer asserts, Lady Vasnja being a murderer in her own country only further proves Princess Cece and Julian Blackthorn’s guilt.

Considering the social circles of the Princess and Lady Vasnja overlap, it is not impossible to think that the later gave the former the poison to which she struck down her own husband. Vasnja frequented the fashion capitals of the globe, one of which is in Gênes, to where Julian Blackthorn was found after fleeing Hyruke, perhaps to meet up with Vasnja in order to seen the lady after the Russen Grand Duke in an attempt to cover their tracks. And finally, it was argued, even if Vasnja murdered Arthur herself, Princess Cece and Julian Blackthorn admitted to having an extramarital affair, who is to say they did not still conspire, Vasnja behind the gun, but Cece and Julian surely being the ones who pulled the trigger.

Naterasse has a new Queen! In a beautiful marital ceremony, King Christian II married Princess Alizia de Astiz, a princess of Garianlles in the capital. The wedding comes as a great marking of history, starting a new chapter in the Royal Family of Naterasse. It comes thirteen years after King Christian ascended the throne upon the death of his father, the late King Emmanuel VIII, during which many were interested in the future of the dynasty. There was for years much talk about the idea of the king taking a bride from Catorana, potentially his cousin, Princess Ingeborg, but such talk proved to be false. There was some concern that the King taking a wife from outside of Nerae, though thankful he chose from among the continent's acceptable women. His new queen is Alizia Astiz, great-great-great-great-granddaughter of King Maxentzio II of Garianlles through his second son, Prince Ametzi. In notables in attendance to the wedding was the King's younger brother, his cousins: the Crown Prince and Crown Princess of Aurann; the King and Queen of Garianlles; Prince Mikael and Princess Ingeborg of Catorana. Upon their marriage, Alizia was officially made Queen of Naterasse in a small ceremony. We all send our congratulations to the new King Christian II and Queen Alizia of Naterasse.

Disasterous Fire off of Coast of Northern Island, Dominion Navy Destroyer Saves Thousands

Cruise Liner Sivarius Burning after explosion in aft section

The peaceful calm of the chilly waters of the Island of Socavia, just north of the Corrandmian mainland, was suddenly broken, as a loud boom filled the air, and a hollow of smoke erupted from the liner. It was at this point that the ship went out a standard automated distress call, requesting aid from any ships nearby. Fortunately, help was nearby, as the Dominion Navy Destroyer D.N.S Hicivarius recieved this message, and made for the doomed ship at her maximum speed of fourty-eight knots, and arrived swiftly, and began providing aid and attempting to provide limited fire fighting assistance, while recovering as many passengers as the ship could fit, even going as far as to empty its cargo bay and mess hall to make room for survivors. It was here when a story of heroism arose, as Chief Petty Officer Banciracus rushed into a burning section of the ship, and preceded to pull out, one by one, thirty-eight trapped survivors, while aided by at least twelve other members of the crew of the destroyer. This effort continued for the next hour, with additional vessels, both military and civilian, rushed to the aid of the burning vessel, managing to recover four thousand, five hundred sixty eight passengers and crew of the burning ship. However this effort had been with a degree of failure, as at least fourty-two deaths have been confirmed, and another thirteen people are still missing. Among the casualties were two Navy personnel, Seaman Vasilia Noris and Farin Havic, both of whom died after suffering severe burns when flames rushed out of a room when they attempted to rescue trapped passengers. The two dead crewmen are planned to be given a memorial service by the Imperial Family itself in honor of their selfless actions.

The ship is currently floating twenty miles off the coast, where fire control efforts continue, and the flames have been brought under a degree of control, however a dark pillar of smoke still rises from the ship, and the Dominion Navy and Dominion Internal Security Service are already planning an investigation to find the cause of the explosion. The DISS has opened the investigation to foreign security services, as the passengers composed of the citizens of multiple nations, and while the likelihood is low, a bomb has been considered as the possible cause of the explosion, though an official cause is still not released, and will likely not be given until the fire is extinguished.

King Antonio approves military operations in Nukasta!

Despite mixed opinions in Parliament and the general public, it was announced today that the King has in the advise of his ministers decided to approve of military action being taken in future operations in the neighboring country of Nukasta on behave of Hyvärinen and the forces of the Supreme General Committee. The actions ones after an unexpected change in the stance on the issue from Aranjuez as King Antonio, who over the last two months has been relatively silent on the conflict in Nukasta decided that the time has come for the Spanish Army to intervene.

However the operation is not without its opposers. In the south, especially in Cadíz, which is always host to the greatest opposition of the King’s government, and even in Córdoba the move is highly unpopular. Most southerners in Espana, many still Carlists at heart, do not wish to be involved in the Nukastan Civil War. King Antonio’s reign’s greatest appeal so far has been that it has been peaceful. There is doubt on if the young architect monarch can conduct a war, and more on why should Espana is intervening on the Nukastan issue.

The force, set to be of 100,000 soldiers, a significant amount considering the army’s many losses and reduction from the Carnage and by the peaceful anti militaristic policies of Antonio, with some snidely dubbing it El Ultimo Ejercito, is to be under the command of General Benjamín Berganza Montreal, a relative unknown, but friend of the Crown. The timeline of the expendition into Nukasta is set to be a matter of only five weeks, with Oskan expected to surrender to allied forces by the end of November.

The King-Emperor of the Celestial Empire was, after playing host to millions of Makonian Refugees, finally approached directly by those refugees, colloquially known as the Makonian Creoles on account of many of the refugees or their children having had married and had children with Deritains on behalf of saving their country. Lead by refugee Césaire Toussainte, the Makonian Creoles came before the court of the King-Emperor at his new, under-construction complex, the new Palace of Tajiyagitte in the Aukussa Bay Area, the fastest-growing urban area in the Celestial Empire and host of majority of Makonian Creoles in the Empire. Toussainte lead a diplomatic mission on the behalf of the Makonian Creoles of nine men and three women who together spoke on the behalf of their people, both those in Makonia and the Makonian Diaspora for the maintenance of peace and stability, wishing for the Celestial Empire to intervene in the chaos of civil unrest and general chaos that had spread throughout Makonia since the death of King Kresimir V and Princess Regent Vasnja. In a letter addressed to the friends of the Diaspora, the twelve diplomats said:

We have great reason to believe, we shall be every day in a worse condition than we are, and less able to defend ourselves, and therefore we do earnestly wish we might be so happy as to find a remedy before it be too late for us to contribute to our own deliverance without the greatest of assistance, the people are so generally dissatisfied with the present conduct of the government, in relation to their socio-economic status, liberties, and properties (all which have been greatly invaded), and they are in such expectation of their prospects being daily worse, that your Highness may be assured, there are nineteen parts of twenty of the people throughout the kingdom, who are desirous of a change; and who, we believe, would willingly contribute to it, if they had such a protection to countenance their rising, as would secure them from being destroyed

The King-Emperor, famous for his great concern for the affairs of the Celestial Empire and with a preference for gentle but distant guidance to outside nations, was himself, not moved by the efforts of Toussainte and his mission. However, before the King-Emperor could officially reject the call to aide the Makonian Creoles, there was an intervention of a unique kind in the Palace of Tajiyagitte. The King-Emperor's granddaughter, Princess Marie-Thérèse d'Aurelians, moved to tears by the plight of the Makonian Creoles, and having lead many campaign projects in Derita to improve their living conditions, implored her grandfather to assist them in the name of restoring peace to the region. The elderly and wise King-Emperor, moved by the tears of his granddaughter and with the call to maintain peace in the world, came to an agreement. Whilst refusing to have Deritains intervene directly, he agreed to allow for Deritain ships to carry Makonian Creoles and advisors and medical volunteers, lead by Princess Marie-Thérèse in order to help Toussainte and the Makonians restore order and peace in Makonia under King Kresimir VI.

Princess Amalia, younger sister of the Empress of Polonge has announced that she shall be leading a humanitarian effort into Makonia with a voluntary force of a thousand people in order to help the Makonian people in the midst of the ongoing crisis of chaos in the kingdom. Organization of this mission was done by the International Committee of the Viridian Crystal, founded by the Princess and her great-grandmother, former Empress Alanna, whose own missionary efforts have aided in elevating hunger for millions over the years. Viridian Crystal when asked about any efforts to Cinyras assures that they are in the midst of organizing a mission there, though with the lawlessness that is spreading across Makonia is of worrying concern for fear of many getting hurt in the anarchy. The Imperial Charter!

It's a great era of the Holy Empire of Aellyria for the Emperor has mandated the chartering of the Aellyrian Merchant Marine Corps or the A.M.M. The A.M.M is a force dedicated to keeping the trade routes of the known universe safe. In conjunction with keeping Aellyrian ships safe, other nations will also be able to benefit from the protection of the A.M.M and indeed one country already has co-signed the Imperial Charter, the great nation of Polonge, who the Holy Emperor considers to be upstanding members of the international community and is indeed the birthplace of the late Brigitta Aeylgarn, who was the first wife of Maelyx Aeylgarn the glorious late leader of Aellyria. The Imperial Household has expressed the hope that other nations will sign the charter, allowing the trade lanes to become safer in the future.

In other news the First Estate and Lord Regent have announced the betrothal of Princess Clementina of Ungarberg to our own Holy Emperor Andreas Aeylgarn, the two will be married when they are deemed of the age of adulthood by the First Estate, it will naturally be a long engagement however it is one that the Lord Regent and the First Estate believe will have much benefit to the Imperial House and the greater Holy Aellyrian Empire.

The Holy Empire strikes it rich!

In todays breaking news, the Aeylgarn Industrial Conglomerate has opened three worlds for it's private mining operations, worlds rich in Palladium, Silver, Gold and other precious metals. Though the Holy Empire is mainly concerned with Palladium it is suggested that access to these materials will disrupt the market and there is even talk of a limiter being put in place as to not disrupt the prices drastically. However in light of this the Holy Emperor has announced that he will commission a treasure fleet to carry the precious metals from the planets they originate from to the Imperial Treasury. A portion of the profits made from the selling of such metals will be used to improve the life of the poor as the Emperor believes that the peoples needs are the responsibility of the Holy Imperial Family as well as the lords of his court.

In other news the Holy Emperor and his regent have called for an increase in colonial population, even setting a stipend for couples who have seven or more children within the colonies, as well as the increase in conscription into the Holy Imperial Army it seems the interests of the Holy Empire are turning towards the colonies.

President Niskanen Flees to Kegara!

Officials had claimed Niskanen was in an operations room heading his forces' response to the Houthi offensive, but the Associated Press reported today that he has now left the country by boat.

The Hyvärinens have been pushing south since the beginning of the week, but the president's dramatic flight appears to be the end of his attempt to cling to power.

Fighting had continued on at least five different fronts on Wednesday, but military officials cited by the AP said pro-Niskanen troops and militia had "fragmented" in the face of the Hyvärinen assault. The rebels also captured Defense Minister Maj. Gen. Jalo Jaakkola in Rainola, around only a few miles from Oskan, and Hyvärinen spokesman Henrikki Nurmi said on a television channel the group controls that they'd reach Oskan in "few days." Another announcement on the channel that aired today offered nearly $100,000 for Niskanen's capture.

Niskanen's flight increases the chances of Nukasta descending into an all out armed conflict with regional repercussions. Neighboring Eacusian states, including socialist northern power Espana, have been backing militias loyal to Hyvärinen.

Tragedy strikes in the heart of the home of the family of the Milanes Dynasty as a most gruesome attack have played out this night at the home of former Queen Marie-Anne. The cliffside palace that serves as the home of the former queen, as well as her daughter-in-laws and grandsons, Prince Dmitri and King Constantine of the Helaides, was breached by a pair of assassins, who murdered a team of guards as they entered the estate grounds, snuck into the palace and broke into the chambers of Grand Duchess Anna Ivanovna, mother of the Prince Dmitri and seized the seven year old boy, and strangling him as his mother was captured and held in place, unable to stop the wretched act. The two men then smashed their way into the chambers of Queen Mother Josephine, assaulting her husband, Prince Mihalio before snatching up the five year old king Constantine and at once strangled him.

With the two young royals assassinated, the two men left the distraught women of the house and fled into the night. This gruesome, even if it was bloodless regicide has left the client kingdom of the Helaides without a king and the royal family and the populace shocked and disgusted. It was done in such a way, strangulation, that it did not spill any royal blood, thus leaving some to believe it was ordered by a fellow royal. And considering that only Constantine and Dmitri were murdered as opposed to their mothers or even Constantine's half-sister Lady Alanna, it believed that only one person could have called for their deaths. Their uncle, King Enrikos II of Cinyras. The two boys had been the sons of Enrikos' older half brothers George and Nikolaos who had both died the year before Enrikos' ascension to the throne, killed in a terrorist attack.

However this assassination of children and the only other members of the King of Cinyras' family aside from his younger sister is believed to be one with dynastic interests. Could it be that the increasingly unpopular King wished to eliminate potential candidates for his replacement? The king has famously said that he cares little for children, and at his birthday party last week it is said that when asked about his extended family, the King scoffed, responding "I have no need for nephews". Was this a coded order to assassinate his nephews with whom he has no need for? The Crown of Cinyras, of course, denies having plotted against the two royals. Nonetheless, Prince Karolos, cousin and heir of the King, has, with his wife and family escaped to Scotland, officially on a visit to his sister, yet perhaps in truth to flee his potentially homicidal cousin.

Following the murders of her grandsons, the tragedy continues as this morning the body of Princess Marie-Anne of Great Hyruke, the former Queen of the Helaides was found dead on the shores of Nafpilo after the nearly seventy-year-old woman supposedly threw herself off the cliffs of her bloodstained palace, apparently with nothing to live for with all her children and grandchildren now dead. The princess, once a Queen who was over thrown in the year of Revolutions of 2059 and the lifelong love of King Loudovikos of Cinyras, and the last in line to the throne of Great Hyruke through her mother, Chloe, the Duchesse de Montmorency. The death of the princess is a hard blow, for she had regain some of her popularity since her abdication. The Parker-Lee government in Londres has arranged to a triple state funeral for Princess Marie-Anne and her grandsons in Nafpilo. A state of interregnum has been declared over the cilent kingdom whilst the Queen of Great Hyruke consults with the mourning elderly Duchesse de Montmorency on what to do with the vacant throne.

Césaire Toussainte, alongside Princess Ariane, Princess Marie-Therese, and the Empress of the Dutch arrived in Bagata, the capital city of the kingdom today greeted by thousands of cheering Makonians welcoming them. It was soon discovered that a grim darkest existed in the heart of the city as it became apparent that the Regency Council, fearing reprisal for their regimes many crimes against the millions who they displaced and ruined, decided that death was better than defeat, and thus chose to commit mass suicide rather than face the justice that might be brought upon them for their crimes. In this they took the seven-year-old King Kresimir VI with them, not wishing for the monarch to fall into the hands of the Creoles, killing him. Princess Elena, by the grace of God and Grand Duke was saved as the two were forced to hid for their lives as the carnage unfolded around them.

As Toussainte and the others came upon this sight, their constitutions were tested. Princess Marie-Therese, having the misfortune of discovering the small body of the late king, was reduced to sobs over the death of such a small and innocent child. Princess Ariane quickly became a nurse to the Grand Duke and the princess whilst Toussainte and Marie-Therese went to explain their findings. The royals and Creoles alike, as seen from footage from drones presents were all visibly distraught by the grotesque and horrible scene that had been left for them to discover. With the king dead and the rest of the Makonia equally dead or shattered into the wind over the last several months, Toussainte realized that the throne was vacant and sensing the general consensus of the Makonian people, had no desire to see another Zgela child monarch given the throne.

Thus, to the surprise of everyone, including Marie-Therese herself, Toussainte offered her the crown. The princess, however, refused, wishing for the Makonian people to decide their own feet. Toussainte and the Creoles thus then called a general assembly of the citizens of the kingdom of several thousand people in order to hold a referendum of the future of the monarchy. Perhaps taking in the inspiration of the Belian head of state referendum of 2073, which saw King Leopold of Beliany selected as the new monarch of the kingdom, 350,000 votes were reported from this impromptu plebiscite of which, 95% were cast in favor of electing Marie-Therese, in honor of her role in aiding so many who had gone into exile in Derita. Only upon seeing the results of so many in favor of her election of monarch did the twenty-six-year-old princess accept the crown. Empress Anna Charlotte has been the first foreign head of state to recognize the election.

The holiday season is sprinkled with love as the wedding of Lady Tatiana Montagu, Viscountess Mandeville and Prince Jean d’Aurelians, Hereditary Duke of Aurelians took place at Saint Anne’s Cathedral in a dazzling occasion. As snow fell over the capital of Hyruke, the inside of the cathedral’s dome was turned into an oasis of spring time for the beautiful couple’s wedding. Lady Tatiana Montagu, only daughter and heir to the dukedom of Manchester and Prince Jean d’Aurelians, (affectionately known as J.J.) is the eldest son of Prince Jean, Duke of Aurelians and younger brother of the new Queen of Makonia were engaged in October of this year have a nearly year long courtship. The pair defied the traditional notion of princes marrying princesses, as J.J. was allowed to find love where it may be.

Though Lady Tatiana isn’t the first of her family to fall in love with royalty, with her older brother Lord Alexander Montagu having married Princess Susanna of Sverge, a daughter of the illustrious Grand Duchess Auguste of Selesburge. J.J. has said that regardless of titles, Tatiana will always be the queen of his heart. The wedding ceremony was a simple one, at least by royal standards, as it was mostly a private ceremony, though people were able to watch it on livestream if not be there in person. In attendance were the families of both Tatiana and J.J., including the Dukes and Duchesses of Aurelians and Manchester, Tatiana’s aforementioned brother and sister-in-law, J.J.’s three older sisters, recently elected Queen Marie-Thérèse of Makonia, the Petite Dauphiné and her husband, and Crown Princess Elisabeth of Aurann and her husband.

To many surprised viewers Empress Anna Charlotte was in attendance, and her daughter Princess Ariane was as well, seen on the arm of J.J.’s younger brother Grand Duke Nukai. Even the buffoon-ish Prince Philip and Princess Mary, uncle and aunt of the bride were in attendance. Lord Amadau Ardales, Francine Blackthorn and Anna Lee were also guests of the wedding. With the wedding ceremony over, the happily wed pair are set to honeymoon in Russlande, sure to keep each other warm in the Russen Winter. They have announced that their official residence with be Rockstead Farm in Great Hyruke. Tatiana, has been officially styled as Her Highness Princess Tatiana, Viscountess Mandeville, Hereditary Duchess of Aurelians.

A Close Call, As Inheritor Jack Nor and bride Corina Nor Narrowly Avoid Assasination Attempt

Today, tragedy nearly struck the Imperial Family, as, while returning from the wedding, which had been held in the Grand Governmental Hall, a loud explosion ripped through the city, as the lead escort protecting the new couple was consumed a large explosion. This resulted in an immediate withdrawal of both the Inheritor and his newly wed into a nearby building until reinforcements arrived, in the form of two armored Personel carriers, with the Inheritor being put into one, and the newly wed Corina placed in the other. The two APCs were then escorted away to unknown locations, and are assumed to have met back up at a later point. The area where explosion occurred is now being search by Dominion Guardsmen, Intelligence Service Agents and Local and Provincial Policemen, whom have also begun searching every building within four blocks, searching for the individual whom set off the explosive. The southern end of the city has been placed under complete martial law and lockdown, and citizens are to expect questioning and possible searching of property, and businesses are to expect the same treatment. The four Guard Grenadiers in the forward car will be given a formal memorial service, however for security reasons the Imperial Family will be unable to attend in person, however they will make a Holographic appearance.

In light of this verdict, we solemnly devest Our once dear niece of all her rights, lands, titles and honors once due to her as a Princess of Great Hyruke and a member of the House of Caister. Henceforth she is to be a private citizen, with none of the rights due to a royal to be given to her or any children she may further produce. All rights to the Throne of Great Hyruke once held by Princess Caroline of Great Hyruke, Princess of Éirea are hereby forfeit. Hence forth, the guilty party shall be known, as Caroline Blackthorn.

In the event of his ascension to the throne of these realms before his eighteenth birthday, a regency shall be put in place of his maternal uncle the Duke if Wexford and his paternal aunt, the Princess Ariane of the Netherlands, or their chosen representatives. In consideration of the state of health of Caroline Blackthorn, the official sentencing of Caroline and Julian Blackthorn is hereby scheduled for the 15th of January 2089.
