Myrth isn’t engaged in decisions on leadership level, even if the RO status names him an honorary Senator. He has a strong record of good service to us, but he has not been involved in the Senate for some time, nor sought to be. If the three of us aren’t around, we have more perfectly good Senators and even several native candidates who aren’t any less earnest to improve the NPO in wholesome ways. They may not be as known as Ivan, Elegarth, and me, but they do just fine.

The mistake that could be made would be choosing successors who would hasten to undo everything. After all the work put into this, there's no way anyone who plans to completely unravel what has been accomplished thus far will soon (unlikely to ever) be a face of NPO itself. As for Myrth's comment, it's fairly harmless and it's rather absurd to turn that kind of statement into a testament to how nothing has changed. The entire single sentence establishes that there is a platform that enables people in the Senate position to show their abilities, not some declaration that nothing ever changes.

Gosh, we are testy, aren't we? The NPO acts to serve the best interests of the Pacific, with strong government and stability, as was intended by our great and wise founder Francos Spain. Some in the past have sought to use their positions as a platform to interfere in the affairs of other regions, which was indeed counter to our founding principles. Those involved were dealt with. Either way, your approval is neither sought nor desired, and the NPO will continue to act in the best interests of the nations of the Pacific and this includes maintaining good relations with our fellow GCRs.

New Pacific Order Statement on Recent Events in The East Pacific

In January 2019, Delegate Fedele requested that the New Pacific Order accept modifications to the TEP-NPO standing pact. The New Pacific Order, out of respect to the Delegate’s stated wishes and to our ally's desire to streamline their existing Foreign Affairs agreements, accepted the changes and the treaty was modified. However, this change did not alter the signatories recognized by the initial treaty: The New Pacific Order, legal government of The Pacific, and the Concordat-legitimized Confederated East Pacific.

The Concordat of The East Pacific states that elections for Delegate are to be held three times a year and an elected Delegate serve for four-month terms before the next elections. These elections are now over. The result finalization has left Marrabuk as the Delegate-elect. As such, Marrabuk is recognized as the legitimate voice of the region unless the Conclave rules that an election complaint filed by second-place candidate Davelands is valid and re-doing the elections is the next step.

The meat of the situation is that at Major update of October 13th, The East Pacific saw the illegal banjection of Vizier Bachtendekuppen and the ejection of Vizier Todd McCloud by Fedele and Funkadelia. Minor update of October 14th saw the banjection of Delegate-elect Marrabuk, and the attempted ejection of Vizier Aelitia by Fedele. These actions are against the law of the Concordat. They also coincide with multiple deliberate law violations committed by Fedele and his friends, namely in this instance Davelands and Funkadelia.

These law violations include:

• The unlawful ejections of Todd McCloud and Aelitia.
• The unlawful banjections of Marrabuk and Bachtendekuppen.
• Removing the endorsement cap from the World Factbook Entry.
• Removal of the Viziers from the Regional Officer positions (ruled illegal by the Conclave).
• Encouraging multiple people in The East Pacific to break the endorsement cap to provoke the Viziers.

Other actions taken that should be condemned are:

• The deliberate endotarting of Davelands, who violated the endorsement cap under the orders of Fedele.
• Fedele forcing Todd McCloud to eject Davelands to drain his influence purposefully.
• Planning to undermine multiple members of the region to consolidate a hold on power.

The New Pacific Order strongly condemns these actions that undermine the legitimacy of the Delegate seat of The East Pacific and violate the spirit of the laws by which the region has operated since the formation of the current government after the coup by Empire in 2008. Marrabuk as Delegate-elect is recognized by the Senate of the New Pacific Order as the legitimate intended Delegate of The East Pacific.

The New Pacific Order has been asked and answered the call to deploy our troops to combat the unlawful coup orchestrated by Fedele and his companions and support the Delegate-elect, Marrabuk. These actions to support The East Pacific when called by the Viziers and Delegate-elect are wholly supported by The East Pacific’s own laws and are thus, contrary to Funkadelia’s claims, not indicative of anything resembling a hostile foreign takeover of The East Pacific. Requested by Viziers and the Delegate-elect, support of the legitimate law-abiding government is entirely legal by The East Pacific’s laws.

We have chosen to respond to the call of our allies in a time of need rather than sit back and watch the region burned by a rogue Delegate and his couper allies. The New Pacific Order committed to the course of recognizing regional sovereignty after the events of last year. While actions taken by Fedele up until last night were recognized by us purely an internal matter and no support had been requested at the time, we respected that sovereignty. Now the sovereignty is threatened by a rogue Delegate and we respond to the call to preserve The East Pacific against a coup.

The New Pacific Order wishes to announce the launch of its new foreign affairs Discord server, a centralized location for our diplomatic operations. This server will be home to our Discord embassies as well as communication channels between NPO government and government officials from other regions. Ambassadors and officials from regions with which we do not share diplomatic relations are welcome to join too.

For some time now the New Pacific Order has militarily targeted regions of fascist nature, and many of them have been connected to the Confederation of Corrupt Dictators. This was purely an aspect of the military tradition of The Pacific and aside from extreme aversion to fascism, it was not because the Confederation has ever posed any sort of threat. That stance as to the nature of the Confederation has changed given the recent revelations that the Confederation had infiltrated The North Pacific with multiple members of their region. This is an unforgivable violation of sovereignty and an act of aggression and war against The North Pacific.

The New Pacific Order condemns all allies of the Confederation as well as the Confederation itself, both because of this gross violation of the sovereignty of our sister Feeder and for their vile fascist and Nazi ties and members who promote the ideology. We extend our support to The North Pacific and their allies in opposing the Confederation. Though the New Pacific Order and The North Pacific do not have formal relations, an act of this nature against The North Pacific is an act that should be condemned by all, no matter their relation to the region in question. The individual who exposed the full situation to The North Pacific is commended for their honesty.

The Legio Pacifica will consider any region holding an embassy or supporting diplomatic relations with the Confederation of Corrupt Dictators as targets for military action following these revelations.

Imperial Statement on New Changes

The New Pacific Order has recently undergone some alterations in government structure and membership that were necessitated by various events and plans. Due to reasons related to time, the title of Praetor, the Senator of Military Affairs, has passed to Marinas Island, the former Praefectus (acting second-in-command) of the Legio Pacifica. Xoriet has reassumed the role of Legatus in the field of Foreign Affairs and works closely with Elegarth on all foreign affairs matters. In other significant Senate news, the biannual Vox Populi elections concluded within the last several days. Samasbhi, Overseer of the RMB Roleplay world and a former Governor of the New Pacific Order, is the newest addition to the Senate, winning the majority of votes from the Body Republic.

The biggest change is an overhaul to the existing system of governmental structure in the New Pacific Order, which had previously been lacking in a more even balance between leadership and members. This lack has led to the creation of a middle-management level of the Order, known as the Exarchate. The Exarchate replaces the defunct Governor role and includes those with extensive work dedicated to their various departmental specialties. The Pacificans appointed to the Exarchate are among the most dedicated, experienced, and high-performing members of the New Pacific Order. The members of the Exarchate bring to the table fresh voices with valuable insights to internal regional direction while still holding to the New Pacific Order’s principles of meritocracy. This provides us with a functional and still-meritocratic system where there is far less of a stark contrast between the levels that consist of Senate and Body Republic.

Further new changes and additions to the region are under works and are intended to further develop the community of the New Pacific Order. The current projects which are now underway include new ways to contribute to the region and participate in regional direction by the member base.
