You are a young wealthy noblewoman living in the countryside. You are peaceful and whimsical and you keep cheerful.
A very powerful and very vicious gang preys on the people.
One day while you're travelling around in a carriage (and admire your surroundings while singing)... your carriage is suddenly stopped by a small army of gang members (over a dozen of them).
Your guards were supposed to protect you but they run away after being threatened by the mob. They decide "you know what, this isn't worth it."
You attempt to buy off the gang members but this only serves to antagonise them because they are less interested in being rich themselves than in destroying the rich to make a political statement. In fact, they are offended that you would "patronise" them in this way.
As you scream out for mercy and help... the gang attacks you, and quite violently assaults, batters and kills you. There are many bystanders but they do absolutely nothing, some of them even watch from a distance.

As a result of a magical red ruby necklace that you were wearing being combined with your noble and pure blood and the power of a rare "crimson sun" (an occult event once every century), you are resurrected as a vampire.
In this new form, you have super speed, super strength, enhanced senses, and limited feats of telekinesis and pyrokinesis. However, you are cursed to have an eternal thirst for human blood and to have an insatiable urge not just for human blood, but to kill for human blood. Sunlight will destroy you instantly.
When you return to your mansion, you find that it has been burned down by the gang (who have started a revolution against the decaying feudal society) and that they have murdered everyone inside it, including all the servants and what's left of your household.
You are filled with rage and you decide to take revenge.
As a vampire, you go around and stalk and kill the members of the gang. Every night, you target the gang members one by one.
The gang soon realises that something dark and sinister is hunting them and they decide to look for a reanimated corpse. The gang figures out who you are and try to find your resting place and burn your corpse during the day but you have allies who move you around the town during daylight hours to evade them.
You are eventually able to destroy the gang and achieve your revenge.
However, you find that revenge has not brought you the peace that you thought it would bring.
At this point you realise that you have become a threat to humankind because of your insatiable urge to kill for human blood. However, your survival instincts are up and you may not have the strength to end your existence.
You also question whether or not there is a moral duty to end your existence given your threat to humanity.
There is also the possibility of using your powers for "good" and act as a sort of vampiric vigilante.
Please discuss what you would do and provide a moral justification. Remember, you have an urge for human blood that is tied to the act of murder, it can never be satiated to any acceptable degree unless you're actively killing... so as long as you exist, you are a literal danger to bystanders.
Your options:
1. There IS a moral duty to destroy myself (for the good of humanity). I would destroy myself to protect the innocent.
2. There IS a moral duty to destroy myself but I do not have the strength to carry it out, I will continue to live (wrongfully) but I will try my best to use my powers for "good."
3. There is NO moral duty to destroy myself because I have no responsibility over my actions (it's just vampire biology) and everyone has a right to life, I will continue to live, be a witness to history, and use my powers for "good."
