I have a funny idea.

So the Free French State is effectively becoming a state-in exile at this moment. But they might be useful to the Royalist cause. I have French troops at my disposal, warranted they serve a Bonaparte as opposed to a mindless people’s committee. Perhaps a temporary alliance between the Free French and the Royalists under condition that it is French troops commanding them? This would allow the Royalists access to French manpower and equipment and also a monarchist influence on the French Socialists resulting in perhaps immigration to France or maybe even a peaceful reintegration into the Grand Duchy.

Hmm, I don't know. The French government is pretty desperate at this point, but I don't think the Royalists have been humbled enough to even recognize the French (and by extension the Dutch) as anything more than rebels.

Honestly, that makes sense. I think since we are going for realism here a ceasefire or alliance is not a viable option at this point. We'll see later. I should have a post up by the end of tomorrow ill prolly just continue to fortify Roappe/train the French and start moving the third army group overseas.

Yes, I did, although I believe I am still missing some details as to the commanders of certain units. All the information has been archived and will be added to the ORBAT this Sunday.

Honestly, that makes sense. I think since we are going for realism here a ceasefire or alliance is not a viable option at this point. We'll see later. I'm glad you understand, because realism was my chief concern.

I think eventually, if the Royalists keep getting bashed down, then they will become more open to the prospect of opening a new front against the Reich or BSU.

Well i mean no job can be done entirely alone. And most of my attention will be fighting the fascist. I am after all a monarchist Germany that despises fascists as the greatest evil of the world due to the horrors the Nazi’s perpetrated (Similar to my personal view but since i had relatives live through both the Nazi’s and the DDR I don’t harken to either Communists or Fascists).

So some of Capile’s other allies may have to shoulder some of the fighting with the BSU

Not necessarily. You're an ally of their ally. It'd be appreciated, but you're not going to get internationally lambasted for breaking a treaty or anything like that.

However, the Dutch will take it as a betrayal and will be much more hesitant to send you or the French aid in the future. And even the French might become concerned that you are going to pull out of the war entirely.

So what should I know about Rochefurt since my troops are landing there. Also, how should I and Capile interact in the post?

Rochefurt is the acting capital of the Duchy so it is bustling with governmental activity. There is also a constant choke of ships going in and out: barges bringing supplies, food, and war materiel from Capile's allies; transports loaded with foreign troops ready to fight in the war; and refugees flying (fleeing) to other lands.

Your troops are supposed to be peacekeepers, but are also under some scrutiny for your supposed Communist sympathies, so appearing as neutral as possible would help. You should introduce yourself to the local government and ask permission to head out to the location of your peace-keeping activities.

Just a radio communication is fine. And if you want you can even write about an inspection checking out your cargo during your next post.

I more meant that you could just write about a Capilean inspector coming onboard or of a Capilean telling you over the radio that your cargo will have to be inspected. But for something this minor, especially since it's outside of combat, it doesn't really matter.

Sincere apologies for my inactivity.

I fell very ill last weekend, and am only now beginning to recover.

Unfortunately, I also have a rowing event this coming weekend, and will not be back home until late Sunday night. As such, my next post will sadly not come until Tuesday at the earliest (I also have quite a bit of other things I need to catch up on due to my sickness, and unfortunately NS isn't exactly at the top of my priorities).
