Bio: Lysidia was born on the planet of Fenris to some of the small non-Space Marine population of Fenris to two guardsmen. As a child on the icy planet of Fenris, he always idolized the Space Marines he saw flying off the planet to protect Mankind and kill Xenos and he wanted to be one of them. He took all the measures he possibly could to be chosen as one and despite his parents asking for him to settle for the guard knowing he wasn't going to be chosen he pushed onward and when the time came he was expectedly rejected and so he joined the guard as was expected of someone of his devotion to the Imperium. He was adopted into the Fenris 678th and sent to an Ork infested planet and ended up holed up in a cabe with a few other guardsmen hearing the orks assemble outside. He rallied the men who were ready for their deaths and held the line for 2 days until Space Marines arrived to the area and rescued them. The planet was hit with an Exterminatus later on.

The majority of his regiment was wiped out as well with the commanding officer. He was promoted to officer due to his leadership skills shown in the cave and he was among one of the last left. Now with a rejuvenated regiment, he leads the men of the Imperium with pride.

Just a friendly note that I got the "Over the Hills and Far Away" reference. Fitting, since we're fighting pseudo-French in pseudo-Portugal, and we're all supposed to have North British accents.
I use my NationStates stats, because a population of billions/trillions and an economy of hundreds of trillions is totally viable, trust me.

Regimental Bio:

Formed some millennia ago, the 109th Harkoni were formed as a reinforcement unit for the better known 101st Harkoni. Originally going on as a rather unknown and barely called upon, the unit became famed in their sector when the rather small unit of Harkoni aided a Ordo Hereticus slow and ultimately stop a major rebellion, thus leading to the Units prominence as counter-heretic force among hive worlds, as many of its sister regiments are.

Currently the 350 members of the 109th are enjoying a small furlough allowance in order to rest and re coup their losses.



The 109th Harkoni are organized as such:

The 350 man Regiment are considered a "Short action/Quick Action force" (A rather uncommon term among the Astra Militarum) Meaning they are expected to be inserted in to a combat zone and are supplied with no more then 3 weeks of rations, ammo, and medical supplies. This means that unlike most other Astra militarum Units, the 109th does not deploy with a support company, meaning they should and would have to be resupplied and re-armed as needed by allied units.

The 350 man unit breaks down in to Two (2) 150 man Companies, 1st and 2nd Company each being comprised of 15 10 man squads, with each squad breaking down in to two 4 man Fire teams with a NCO leading. While weapons tend to vary, the Harkoni make use of Folding Stock Lasscarbine, Hellguns, Heavy bolters, Heavy stubbers and Auto pistols as their primary armament.

Along side their standard issue Lasscarbine, Auto-pistol and combat knife, Every man in a infantry squad (refereed to from here on out as a Rifle squad) are issued 2 Frag Grenades, 1 krak grenade, and one smoke grenade. In each company there are 10 Rifle Squads. Out of each squad, 2 men are selected to replace their Lascarbine with a Hellgun, often sacrificing his grenades and field pack with the back pack mounted power cell for the weapon. On top of the two Hellguns, a single man in each team carries a pair of single use Krack Missile launchers (think an AT-4 style weapon)

The Five remaining teams are comprised of 3 Fire support Squads and 2 Heavy Support Squads. Still consisting of 10 men, 6 men out of each Squad operate a pair Heavy Bolters, with one gunner, Assistant gunner and am ammo carrier, the 4 remaining men operate a pair of lighter, more portable heavy stubbers. The 2 remaining 10 man squads each operate a trio of reusable, guided Rocket launchers with both High explosive fragmentation and Guided Krak missiles, with three more men acting as ammo carriers. the 4 remaining men in each squad all operate, along side their Lascarbines, a repeating grenade launcher with a multitude of grenades, normally a mix between short range fragmentation, and extended range "Mortar" rounds meant to be used in a indirect fire fashion.(


Attached to the 109th is a Squadron of Valkyrie Gunship/transports.

16 birds per ship, 12 birds are of the transport version, fitted with a standard troop bay, pair of heavy bolter/Multi-lass/Twin linked heavy stubber door guns. The remaining 4 birds are fitted out for Heavy fire support and Gunship missions, fitting extra armor, a trio of Twin linked lass Canons and 4 Hellfury missiles, and other added weapon systems.

Personality: A bit of a weathered Stone, Johanna is a rather laid back and chill women, some might describe her as a book work and historian. This laud back demeanor is rendered much sharper and much more cold as when on a mission Johanna is a cold, ruthless soldier, often described as "The ice queen." Being a part of Squad 13, a Heavy fire support squad, she has a keen eye for the most effective use of her Squads Heavy weapons and assets.

Bio: Being born on the coastal city of One of Horkon's few large bodies of water, Johanna learned early on how to best use the Gravity of her world to hunt and earning a keen sense of altitude, direction, and the wind. Joining the PDF at an early age, she would later go on to serve in the 109th proper as a junior Trooper, a Corporal, and later a Sargent, having earned her NCO stripes and command of Squad 13 during their last deployment to a Feral world along side the Heretic Hunters of the Inquisition and the Adeptus Soritas, even meeting up with a childhood friend among the Battle Sisters.

Early years of Kainen's life are deeply embedded into his subconscious thoughts and simply done away with by the endless toils of training regimen imposed by the Akuma Korps and tenants of the Cult of Sacrifice, hiding it from the tangible reaches of his mindscape. Childhood concepts were never prevalent on Acerbez IV and as soon as one is able to walk and talk, they become indicted into the Acerbi way of life. Brought into the Korps as early as possible, Kainen was 16 when the planet was assailed by renegades attempting to snatch a foothold in "The Gauntlet". Vigilus was the nearest planet to Acerbez and already a gaping hell hole for imperials due to xenos and heretics constantly attempting to usurp the planet.

As much as the tempests of the death world made life difficult, they also made defence easier. The hell scape was a labrynth of desolation only familiar to the Native Akuma forces. In the event of enemies penetrating the atmosphere past the orbital defenses, they'd be greeted by the hundreds of thousands of bunker and trench mazes that sprouted along the surface of the planet and defended by their hosts. Teenagers to senior veterans rolled out on call to give the emperor's fury to any that trespassed. This was a bi-annual occurrence to Kainen in his early years, at the least. Coming of age and volunteered as tithe to Terra, he'd been 18 years of age as an infantry of the 118th Akuma and sent off to aid Vigilus in repelling an Ork Invasion... And then an Eldar... And then the heretics...

14 years were ceded to Vigilus, and the campaign only brought 2 years of calm at its conclusion before excursions resumed on the Gauntlet's North end. Elevated to Division commander, superiors would order the 118th deployed within the Ultima segmentum to make war and defend against the Tau as supplements to the Ultramarine. Kainen's aptitude for siege and defence proved fruitful against the technologically capable Tau xenos and earned him merit beyond the Akuma sphere. Holding his own offworld, in a campaign to retake planets from the Tau, cut off from reinforcements, the last vestiges of his division broke from their trenches in a charge that would break the Tau fire warrior line and bring glory to the armies of the imperium.

The onset of the Tyranid encroachment meant that the 118th Akuma Korps would volunteer itself to aid the Ultra Marines in repelling this threat. Solidifying defensive posturings on world's in the hives trajectory. Kainen Daesh's ability to survive and strategize on defensive warfare and the seemingly excessive use of artillery saw great successes against the endless waves of the Tyranid menace. At one point, being identified by a Tyranid Lictor, Kainen had his trachea crushed by one the beasts claws and lost his right forearm before slaying the creature and taken off planet to be healed. Replacing his trachea with a genetically engineered replacement leading to his voice becoming iconically raspy and his forearm with a bionic appendage.

The 118th has acquired many victories in the name of the imperium across many campaigns, almost always volunteering itself as to never stop their war and struggle. Knowledge of siege warfare and desire to fight on for the Emperor being Kainen's largest assets, has once again been elevated to Visari Marshal of the 118th and volunteered them to yet another front.

Acerbez IV is a Death World planet orbited by 2 moons in the Ultima Segmentum region of the galaxy along the closest point of the Nachmund Gauntlet and Segmentum Solar. Similarly to many other instances in the imperium's history, the planet was at a time a highly prosperous hive world that had extensive mining and energy productions from the geothermal tectonic shifting of the 2 moons gravitational pull and the gigantic lightning storms at its poles. Deploying orbital stations to manage the production and harnessing of the storms, the planet made exceptional profits from supplying passing fleets and also massive industrial outputs and capacity to repair and deliver raw material to the imperium.

In its beginnings, the ecosystem and environment was terraformed and manipulated to support extravagantly comfortable living by the syphoning of the lightning storm's fury into power conduits and plethora of orbital arrays designed to minimize and keep ithe storms cordial and at bay. As time had passed however, the High-Autocrats of the planetary governance became full of hubris and mal content. Similarly to so many other planets that momentarily fell from the emperor's light, a civil war occurred that sparked the new beginning of the planet. Deployment of massive weapons and countless rebel and counter rebel forces meant that total destruction was inevitable. A final gambit of the dwindling and losing Loyalist forces saw that the orbital arrays surrounding the planet's storms would be weaponized and sabotaged in a chain reaction that would cause the storm's harness to be broken down and invoked to retake the planet it once dominated.

Thousands of surface facilities and and hives imploded from the catastrophe ushering a 2nd phase of nuclear winter and widespread deterioration of the environment bringing Acerbez IV to death world levels and forced combatants to continue their fight in barren City scrapes and underground bunkering. This self destructive gambit was perhaps the saving grace that kept the planet from reaching Exterminatus status via the High Lords of Terra and gave it a second penitant chance to persist in its duties to the God Emperor.

Similar to few other known planets, Krieg in particular, Acerbez IV has been ordered by the High Lords of Terra to solely produce new regiments and is tithed at the highest capacity to serve this endeavor. The hazardous and inhospitable factors of the dead planet means it is one of the very select few privy to the use of Vitae wombs and various eugenic policies to ensure these tithes are met. The 118th Akuma Korps is no different than any other regiment produced by the planetary system. Recruitment begins almost immediately from birth and a collage of military tradition mixed with tenants from the eclesiarchy's cult of sacrifice work in tandem with the brutal living conditions and lack of basic amenities of the planet.


Honor, Bravery, and Sacrifice are the foundations of mental conditioning and are merely expectations of their duty and the primary reason medals and awards are rarely given for such acts and are almost entirely unheard of. The resulting Guardsman is a highly disciplined and self-sufficient soldier, proficient in all basic Imperial Guard weaponry types, with exemplary hand-to-hand skills and expertise in the construction of trench works. Accuracy is desirable but ultimately secondary to the importance of the fire discipline and the ability to maintain continuous fire en masse as part of a larger formation.

Identical to their Krieg counterparts, Acerbi Guardsmen are identified not by name but by numerical identification in order to more easily follow their records and death while maintaining collective cohesion and miniscule levels of individuality. Their cultural history and shame of their past discretion against the imperium reinforced with their unwavering and absolute devotion to the emperor, living and dying in his name, expresses itself in ways non-Acerbi persons can find unsettling, such as refusing to take off his rebreather even when not in combat.

Compared to other worlds with an aristocratic military tradition, Acerbi officers are drawn from the rank and file, achieving promotion through skill, seniority, and in many cases simple survival. If selected during basic training, potential officers must complete an additional training course, In the field new officers are promoted from the ranks, typically having Officers right up to the regimental level typically fight on the front lines and equip themselves as such, an expression of the overly zealous mentality that all Guardsmen must fight and die for the Emperor. Also in keeping with this mentality, these officers regard their men in the same way other commanders regard ammunition, a mentality which has caused problems in cases where non-Acerbi units are placed under the command of Akuma officers.

In the Akuma Korps way of warfare, any battle in which their capacity to wage war and willingness to die exceeds that of the enemy's is considered a battle already won - everything else is a matter of time and attrition. This is best exemplified by their famous Siege Regiments, dedicated trench warfare formations operating on the fundamental principle of advancing forward at any cost until the enemy is eradicated. Sustained artillery barrages precede massive infantry attacks, human waves of Guardsmen led by squads of grenadiers, advancing in dispersed formation before closing ranks to unleash disciplined volleys of las-fire and storm the enemy's defensive emplacements.

Heavy Weapons Squads are concentrated in separate detachments so that their deployment will not stagger the advance of infantry units, and are used to support and protect their flanks as well as shore up defenses around important strategic locations. Specailised combat engineer units also assist in undermining the enemy's defenses and conducting subterranean warfare.

Vehicles used by Akuma siege regiments are either purpose-built or heavily modified for use on difficult terrain and prolonged exposure to environmental damage, with relatively light vehicles such as the Chimera replaced in favour of more robust transport.

Tanks in siege regiments are not fielded en masse but partitioned out to support the infantry assault, with individual companies and squadrons attached to infantry platoons to provide physical cover and supporting fire as they cross no man's land. While others regard this as backwards and unsophisticated use of armour, Akuma commanders regard the high loss rate of these vehicles with the same callousness they show toward human casualties.

Field artillery and heavy artillery companies feature heavily in Akuma siege regiments, the former providing direct support to the infantry while the latter concentrate on tasks such as box barrages, counter-battery, harassing and destructive firing. When operating as part of a larger siege army the regiment's artillery can be further supported by the bombardment korps, large concentrations of artillery to back up the attacking regiment during major offensives.

Unless explicitly ordered to do so, an Akuma unit will continue to fight against an overwhelming foe until destroyed, even when retreat would be more tactically sound. The typical Akuma 'zeal' for engaging and destroying the enemy at any cost can sometimes earn short-term victories at the expense of long-term strategic goals, and their unique outlook on life has been known to cause friction between themselves and other non-Acerbi units. For this reason Commissars, the only non-Acerbi members of an Akuma Korps regiment, are present less to enforce the law and improve morale than to reign in the excesses of their unit and act as a tactical adviser to its officers, reminding them of the larger strategic picture, as well as providing liaison duties between regimental commands when needed.

Designed purely for close range assaults and infamous bayonet charges of the Akuma, this gun is heavily reinforced and has a bayonet lug built into its short and heavy frame. Slots for two power packs are included so the gun can switch to a fresh pack with no reloading. Since the firefights it’s designed for are typically over long before two packs are exhausted, it serves its design perfectly.

Akuma Korps Infrantry load out always includes Leather webbing with carrying straps and pouches allowing infantryman to carry additional gear including maintenance kits, replacement filters, and antidote vials. A leather backpack buckles to the webbing shoulder straps and provides additional carrying capacity, including a bedroll/waterproof shelter-half and dry-tin canister for storing perishables against the environment. A small entrenching tool is also issued to all Akuma guardsmen and worn on the belt, with larger mattocks and shovels provided as needed. Plasteel shoulder pads are buckled to the greatcoat and embossed with rank insignia in the case of Watchmasters and higher ranks. When worn together with his respirator an Akuma Korps soldier in full uniform is completely sealed against any contaminated environment.

Infantry squad typically consists of ten Guardsmen, including a Watchmaster who leads them. He is assisted by the senior-most Guardsman, who is entrusted with the squad's Vox-caster, while another soldier is armed with the squad's special weapon. It is commonplace for 2 additional guardsmen to be equipped with Merovech Model 481 "Persuader" rifles, replacing their standard issue rifle.

Infantry platoons consist of 5 infantry squads led by Lieutenant and his Platoon Command Squad, which in many cases will also contain a single heavy weapon crewed by two of the command squad's members.

Heavy weapons squads consist of six Guardsmen in three two-man teams, a gunner and loader for each heavy weapon, and are led by a senior Guardsmen appointed by their platoon's commander. Heavy weapons platoons are also led by a similarly-armed command squad but composed instead of nine heavy weapons squads; these platoons are rarely fielded as a single unit but instead parceled out as needed, often at the direction of their company's commander.

Grenadier squads are also ten-man units, veterans hand-picked by their Watchmasters to serve as heavy infantry. Although technically the same rank as other Guardsmen they are regarded as above them in seniority, and should they survive their stint as shock troops Grenadiers will be returned to the regular infantry as Watchmasters themselves.

At full strength an infantry company will consist of ten infantry platoons and one heavy weapons platoons, led by a company HQ and include a varying number of Grenadier squads mounted on mechanized transports, for a total of just over 2 hundred Guardsmen. The company command squad includes a staff of aides and messengers to advise the Captain along with an Ensign, a junior officer tasked with carrying the company's standard in battle.

Artillery plays a large role in Akuma Korps siege regiments as well, which use several different types of artillery companies.

Field artillery companies consist of three batteries of four light towable artillery pieces such as Heavy Mortars or Heavy Quad-Launchers and a command squad, each with their own Centaur vehicle. The company headquarters is also mounted on Centaurs, one of which functions as a communications vehicle, and includes an Atlas recovery vehicle. Organic to the company is a supply column of Trojan ammunition carriers.

Artillery companies contain the same command and support elements, but consist of three batteries of three heavier pieces such as Earthshakers or Medusa Siege Guns towed by Trojans.

Heavy artillery companies will use massive self-propelled artillery such as Bombards, basilisk, and hydra.

Tank companies consist of three squadrons of three tanks each, with the company headquarters consisting of a command tank and Centaur, along with a supply column of Trojans and maintenance and recovery section of Atlas vehicles.

Acerbez IV is a Death World planet orbited by 2 moons in the Ultima Segmentum region of the galaxy along the closest point of the Nachmund Gauntlet and Segmentum Solar. Similarly to many other instances in the imperium's history, the planet was at a time a highly prosperous hive world that had extensive mining and energy productions from the geothermal tectonic shifting of the 2 moons gravitational pull and the gigantic lightning storms at its poles. Deploying orbital stations to manage the production and harnessing of the storms, the planet made exceptional profits from supplying passing fleets and also massive industrial outputs and capacity to repair and deliver raw material to the imperium.

In its beginnings, the ecosystem and environment was terraformed and manipulated to support extravagantly comfortable living by the syphoning of the lightning storm's fury into power conduits and plethora of orbital arrays designed to minimize and keep ithe storms cordial and at bay. As time had passed however, the High-Autocrats of the planetary governance became full of hubris and mal content. Similarly to so many other planets that momentarily fell from the emperor's light, a civil war occurred that sparked the new beginning of the planet. Deployment of massive weapons and countless rebel and counter rebel forces meant that total destruction was inevitable. A final gambit of the dwindling and losing Loyalist forces saw that the orbital arrays surrounding the planet's storms would be weaponized and sabotaged in a chain reaction that would cause the storm's harness to be broken down and invoked to retake the planet it once dominated.

Thousands of surface facilities and and hives imploded from the catastrophe ushering a 2nd phase of nuclear winter and widespread deterioration of the environment bringing Acerbez IV to death world levels and forced combatants to continue their fight in barren City scrapes and underground bunkering. This self destructive gambit was perhaps the saving grace that kept the planet from reaching Exterminatus status via the High Lords of Terra and gave it a second penitant chance to persist in its duties to the God Emperor.

Similar to other known planets, Krieg in particular, Acerbez IV has been ordered by the High Lords of Terra to solely produce new regiments and is tithed at the highest capacity to serve this endeavor. The hazardous and inhospitable factors of the dead planet means it is one of the very select few privy to the use of Vitae wombs and various eugenic policies to ensure these tithes are met. The 118th Akuma Korps is no different than any other regiment produced by the planetary system. Recruitment begins almost immediately from birth and a collage of military tradition mixed with tenants from the eclesiarchy's cult of sacrifice work in tandem with the brutal living conditions and lack of basic amenities of the planet.

Honor, Bravery, and Sacrifice are the foundations of mental conditioning and are merely expectations of their duty and the primary reason medals and awards are rarely given for such acts and are almost entirely unheard of. The resulting Guardsman is a highly disciplined and self-sufficient soldier, proficient in all basic Imperial Guard weaponry types, with exemplary hand-to-hand skills and expertise in the construction of trench works. Accuracy is desirable but ultimately secondary to the importance of the fire discipline and the ability to maintain continuous fire en masse as part of a larger formation. Identical to their Krieg counterparts, Acerbi Guardsmen are identified not by name but by numerical identification in order to more easily follow their records and death while maintaining collective cohesion and miniscule levels of individuality. Their cultural history and shame of their past reinforced with their unwavering and absolute devotion to the emperor, living and dying in his name, expresses itself in ways non-Acerbi persons can find unsettling, such as refusing to take off his rebreather even when not in combat. Compared to other worlds with an aristocratic military tradition, Acerbi officers are drawn from the rank and file, achieving promotion through skill, seniority, and in many cases simple survival. If selected during basic training, potential officers must complete an additional training course, In the field new officers are promoted from the ranks, typically having Officers right up to the regimental level typically fight on the front lines and equip themselves as such, an expression of the overly zealous mentality that all Guardsmen must fight and die for the Emperor. Also in keeping with this mentality, these officers regard their men in the same way other commanders regard ammunition, a mentality which has caused problems in cases where non-Acerbi units are placed under the command of Acerbi officers.

In the Akuma Korps way of warfare, any battle in which their capacity to wage war and willingness to die exceeds that of the enemy's is considered a battle already won - everything else is a matter of time and attrition. This is best exemplified by their famous Siege Regiments, dedicated trench warfare formations operating on the fundamental principle of advancing forward at any cost until the enemy is eradicated. Sustained artillery barrages precede massive infantry attacks, human waves of Guardsmen led by squads of grenadiers, advancing in dispersed formation before closing ranks to unleash disciplined volleys of las-fire and storm the enemy's defensive emplacements. Heavy Weapons Squads are concentrated in separate detachments so that their deployment will not stagger the advance of infantry units, and are used to support and protect their flanks as well as shore up defenses around important strategic locations. Specailised combat engineer units also assist in undermining the enemy's defenses and conducting subterranean warfare.

Unless explicitly ordered to do so, an Akuma unit will continue to fight against an overwhelming foe until destroyed, even when retreat would be more tactically sound. The typical Akuma 'zeal' for engaging and destroying the enemy at any cost can sometimes earn short-term victories at the expense of long-term strategic goals, and their unique outlook on life has been known to cause friction between themselves and other non-Acerbi units. For this reason Commissars, the only non-Acerbi members of an Akuma Korps regiment, are present less to enforce the law and improve morale than to reign in the excesses of their unit and act as a tactical adviser to its officers, reminding them of the larger strategic picture, as well as providing liaison duties between regimental commands when needed.

Formed some millennia ago, the 109th Harkoni were formed as a reinforcement unit for the better known 101st Harkoni. Originally going on as a rather unknown and barely called upon, the unit became famed in their sector when the rather small unit of Harkoni aided a Ordo Hereticus slow and ultimately stop a major rebellion, thus leading to the Units prominence as counter-heretic force among hive worlds, as many of its sister regiments are.

Currently the 350 members of the 109th are enjoying a small furlough allowance in order to rest and re coup their losses.



The 109th Harkoni are organized as such:

The 350 man Regiment are considered a "Short action/Quick Action force" (A rather uncommon term among the Astra Militarum) Meaning they are expected to be inserted in to a combat zone and are supplied with no more then 3 weeks of rations, ammo, and medical supplies. This means that unlike most other Astra militarum Units, the 109th does not deploy with a support company, meaning they should and would have to be resupplied and re-armed as needed by allied units.

The 350 man unit breaks down in to Two (2) 150 man Companies, 1st and 2nd Company each being comprised of 15 10 man squads, with each squad breaking down in to two 4 man Fire teams with a NCO leading. While weapons tend to vary, the Harkoni make use of Folding Stock Lasscarbine, Hellguns, Heavy bolters, Heavy stubbers and Auto pistols as their primary armament.

Along side their standard issue Lasscarbine, Auto-pistol and combat knife, Every man in a infantry squad (refereed to from here on out as a Rifle squad) are issued 2 Frag Grenades, 1 krak grenade, and one smoke grenade. In each company there are 10 Rifle Squads. Out of each squad, 2 men are selected to replace their Lascarbine with a Hellgun, often sacrificing his grenades and field pack with the back pack mounted power cell for the weapon. On top of the two Hellguns, a single man in each team carries a pair of single use Krack Missile launchers (think an AT-4 style weapon)

The Five remaining teams are comprised of 3 Fire support Squads and 2 Heavy Support Squads. Still consisting of 10 men, 6 men out of each Squad operate a pair Heavy Bolters, with one gunner, Assistant gunner and am ammo carrier, the 4 remaining men operate a pair of lighter, more portable heavy stubbers. The 2 remaining 10 man squads each operate a trio of reusable, guided Rocket launchers with both High explosive fragmentation and Guided Krak missiles, with three more men acting as ammo carriers. the 4 remaining men in each squad all operate, along side their Lascarbines, a repeating grenade launcher with a multitude of grenades, normally a mix between short range fragmentation, and extended range "Mortar" rounds meant to be used in a indirect fire fashion.(


Attached to the 109th is a Squadron of Valkyrie Gunship/transports.

16 birds per ship, 12 birds are of the transport version, fitted with a standard troop bay, pair of heavy bolter/Multi-lass/Twin linked heavy stubber door guns. The remaining 4 birds are fitted out for Heavy fire support and Gunship missions, fitting extra armor, a trio of Twin linked lass Canons and 4 Hellfury missiles, and other added weapon systems.

Bio: Being born on the coastal city of One of Horkon's few large bodies of water, Johanna learned early on how to best use the Gravity of her world to hunt and earning a keen sense of altitude, direction, and the wind. Joining the PDF at an early age, she would later go on to serve in the 109th proper as a junior Trooper, a Corporal, and later a Sargent, having earned her NCO stripes and command of Squad 13 during their last deployment to a Feral world along side the Heretic Hunters of the Inquisition and the Adeptus Soritas, even meeting up with a childhood friend among the Battle Sisters.

Enter a Tallan recce regiment, run into the ground from continuous fighting. Enter an Elysian grav-chute regiment, deemed expendable in the heat of an operation. Add those that slipped through the Munitorum's records - sole survivors, squads accidentally erased from existence by an adept's mistake, and even the odd Storm Trooper from the Schola, and you have the 161st.

According to records, the 161st was born out of the Munitorum's merger of the survivors of Lt. Col. Vela's Elysian regiment with those of Col. Tanan's Tallarn regiment. However, the idea behind the regiment came from a dream Tanan had, for a very special kind of regiment. A firey, faithful man of action, he used his experience in reconnaissance and guerrilla operations, things he had read in the histories of the Imperium, and talk between other regimental commanders, to come up with his vision of a perfect guerrilla regiment. Many sleepless nights were spent planning out the structure of such a regiment, its tasks, the training, and even the logistics required to keep it fighting.

Despite being trained for different roles and coming from different planets, both Tanan and Vela realized that there was still a lot of overlap between the Tallarns and the Elysians, and so Tanan found a kindred spirit in his second-in-command. With some effort, they even managed to rope in the new regimental commissar, helped by Tanan's unusually strong faith and the regimental priest. All that was left was to convince the brass that it was a good idea.

Guerrilla regiments weren't unheard of by any means, but it - as this was an idea from out of nowhere! - met with resistance from his superiors in Segmentum Command and the Munitorum. Many favors were pulled to get the concept even acknowledged, and Tanan and Vela spent several more years finding the right soldiers to fill out the ranks, and jumping through Munitorum hoops to scavenge the appropriate gear. Their labors (and Thrones) ended up paying off in the end, and the 161st Combat Group was officially recognized by Segmentum Command.

Now up to strength and geared up, the 161st will leave behind the training fields of their voidships, and finally be thrown into their first battle. Safe to say that the existence of the 161st, and the fates of its officers, will all be decided by their performance here.

Regimental Bio: Tet is a relatively non-deadly tropical world that is constantly stricken by lightning-fast Eldar Exodites. The Xenos conceal themselves in the jungle only to leap out, strike a human settlement, and withdraw faster than conventional forces can respond. For this reason, Tet’s defense forces have become highly specialized fast attack specialists, using Valkyries in lieu of heavier mechanized transports to swiftly search and destroy any opposition. A sort of “trade secret” of Tet’s Air Cavalry units is Wipeet, a material that combusts into a white smoke that burns all that it touches- flora, cloth, and flesh alike.

The 84th was formed in M40 by the merger of the “Lucky 8th” AirCav Regiment and the survivors of the 4th AirCav Regiment in the wake of the disastrous Thamau Offensive, when Eldar Exodites launched a devastating military campaign that Imperial analysts had insisted they did not have the strength to conduct. The 4th AirCav was all but annihilated as a fighting unit, while the 8th repelled the attack aimed at their fort. This tied in with deep-seated superstition that the number 4 was unlucky, while 8 was lucky, thus the nickname of the newly-formed 84th. This service record would prove to be emblematic- they serve well, but always seem to get rotten turns of luck. 700 years, more-or-less, have passed since the 84th was formed. The current soldiery of the 84th have mostly only seen asymmetrical fighting against irregular Xeno or traitor forces, until now.

Personality: Those who support her call her an inspiration to her men. Those who dislike her call her a glory hound. Both of these things are true. She lives both for the blood-rushing excitement of battle and the glory and recognition that come achieving victory. She greatly anticipates her regiment's baptism by fire in conventional warfare.
Bio: Tien Nu Marrlow was born the youngest daughter of a wealthy landlord in the Binh District, and as lived a spoiled, but utterly dull existence until she went to attend the Cadet School in the capital, Tho Del, at age 16. Four years later, she graduated the school and joined up with the Imperial Guard. She has been in the 84th for her entire military career, Initially being shifted in as the new CO for a troop. She quickly established herself as a risk taker, directing her troops' pilots to land practically on top of enemy forces. This obviously led to higher casualties than other units, but tended to let less enemy guerrillas slip away from retribution. Her habit of volunteering herself and her units for missions led to her promotion to Captain and appointment as commander of a Squadron. It was around this time that the 84th was deployed to the planet of Kataba. Her troop was posted to an obscure and isolated outpost, where it was unexpectedly besieged by several thousand traitors. A brutal little parody of a siege ensued. Several attempted relief efforts were repelled by determined resistance. A week into the supporting armored regiment finally achieved a breakthrough and reached the desperate troop, who had ran out of ammunition and had repelled the last attack through explosive traps and bayonet charges. For their steadfast resistance even when power packs ran dry, the troop was decorated, and Marrlow promoted to Major. Her ascent would have become far less exciting at this point as she was assigned command of a battalion of troops, had she not insisted on tossing herself into the fray with the argument that she ought to be able to do anything she ordered her men to do. This attitude led to several shiny new rewards- including a bionic arm after an Eldar Ranger blew her organic one off. Her constant desire to throw herself and her men in harm's way paid off again and again, until eventually she ended up commanding the entire Regiment. Marrlow's excitement for the chance to finally fight in a conventional war and liberate an entire planet from traitors can almost not be understated.

Regimental Bio: Tet is a relatively non-deadly tropical world that is constantly stricken by lightning-fast Eldar Exodites. The Xenos conceal themselves in the jungle only to leap out, strike a human settlement, and withdraw faster than conventional forces can respond. For this reason, Tet’s defense forces have become highly specialized fast attack specialists, using Valkyries in lieu of heavier mechanized transports to swiftly search and destroy any opposition. A sort of “trade secret” of Tet’s Air Cavalry units is Wipeet, a material that combusts into a white smoke that burns all that it touches- flora, cloth, and flesh alike.

The 84th was formed in M40 by the merger of the “Lucky 8th” AirCav Regiment and the survivors of the 4th AirCav Regiment in the wake of the disastrous Thamau Offensive, when Eldar Exodites launched a devastating military campaign that Imperial analysts had insisted they did not have the strength to conduct. The 4th AirCav was all but annihilated as a fighting unit, while the 8th repelled the attack aimed at their fort. This tied in with deep-seated superstition that the number 4 was unlucky, while 8 was lucky, thus the nickname of the newly-formed 84th. This service record would prove to be emblematic- they serve well, but always seem to get rotten turns of luck. 700 years, more-or-less, have passed since the 84th was formed. The current soldiery of the 84th have mostly only seen asymmetrical fighting against irregular Xeno or traitor forces, until now.

Personality: Those who support her call her an inspiration to her men. Those who dislike her call her a glory hound. Both of these things are true. She lives both for the blood-rushing excitement of battle and the glory and recognition that come achieving victory. She greatly anticipates her regiment's baptism by fire in conventional warfare.
Bio: Tien Nu Marrlow was born the youngest daughter of a wealthy landlord in the Binh District, and as lived a spoiled, but utterly dull existence until she went to attend the Cadet School in the capital, Tho Del, at age 16. Four years later, she graduated the school and joined up with the Imperial Guard. She has been in the 84th for her entire military career, Initially being shifted in as the new CO for a troop. She quickly established herself as a risk taker, directing her troops' pilots to land practically on top of enemy forces. This obviously led to higher casualties than other units, but tended to let less enemy guerrillas slip away from retribution. Her habit of volunteering herself and her units for missions led to her promotion to Captain and appointment as commander of a Squadron. It was around this time that the 84th was deployed to the planet of Kataba. Her troop was posted to an obscure and isolated outpost, where it was unexpectedly besieged by several thousand traitors. A brutal little parody of a siege ensued. Several attempted relief efforts were repelled by determined resistance. A week into the supporting armored regiment finally achieved a breakthrough and reached the desperate troop, who had ran out of ammunition and had repelled the last attack through explosive traps and bayonet charges. For their steadfast resistance even when power packs ran dry, the troop was decorated, and Marrlow promoted to Major. Her ascent would have become far less exciting at this point as she was assigned command of a battalion of troops, had she not insisted on tossing herself into the fray with the argument that she ought to be able to do anything she ordered her men to do. This attitude led to several shiny new rewards- including a bionic arm after an Eldar Ranger blew her organic one off. Her constant desire to throw herself and her men in harm's way paid off again and again, until eventually she ended up commanding the entire Regiment. Marrlow's excitement for the chance to finally fight in a conventional war and liberate an entire planet from traitors can almost not be understated.

The Second Chalderan Armoured hails from the developed agri-world of Chaldera Tertiam, a world known mainly for the pleasant decorations on its food packet labels. Despite their poverty relative to other solar systems in the region, Chaldera prides itself in the formation of several detachments of good repute, most prominent of which is the 2nd Armoured. Founded in 989.M37 from elements of the local PDF, the 2nd Armoured has seen much combat in the Chaldera region, particularly suppressing guerilla actions in the Berengland bush and fighting against marauding Ork warbands in later rotations to the neighbouring Amorhius System.
Unfortunately, the regiment found its area of operations shifting quickly as they were sent back to the world of Chaldera Secundam due to a typo in a Munitorum decree. Unlike their homeworld, Chaldera Secundam’s strategic locations had shifted to built-up areas after a period of quick urbanisation. This proved to be extremely deadly after the “Winter of Thorns” (828.M39), a string of coups which forced the regiment into high-intensity urban conflict. The regiment suffered terribly, but secured an evident victory. As such, its doctrine has shifted dramatically from the simplistic Deep Battle and low-intensity handbooks to put an emphasis on flexibility and close quarters action.

Personality: Alencaster is a flexible man, adhering somewhat well to his social environment. At a first glance, he is an average nobleman, if a bit on the reserved side. But beneath this crust is a meticulous, calculating man working with the coldness and precision of the machines he commands. Every word, every move is thought, over-thought. For better or worse.
Bio:
Charles was born in a rural estate in Chaldera Secundam to a family of landed gentry. During his uneventful childhood he was much more interested by the heavy machines he saw working in the fields than court etiquette. Therefore, when he entered an officer’s school as per family traditions, he chose the armoured branch. His studies benefited from the return of the 2nd Chalderan Armoured, where he was assigned as a lowly platoon commander.
His career was helped by the political intrigue brewing at the time. The mysterious death of a financier linked to the planetary governor revealed a secessionist plot, and on the winter of 828.M39, local Guard companies backed up by PDF elements seized power. For his loyalty to the Imperium, he was awarded with the post of battalion commander, filling a vacancy left after some purges. Unfortunately, the civilian elements in the coup proved to be too revolutionary for the guardsmen’s taste, and, while their ideas were not treasonous, they weren't very traditional. Thus, Alencaster found himself backing another coup, this time to restore a proper, monarchic government. After a few months of political and armoured maneuvers, Alencaster found himself in favor with the new dynasty. He gained the position of brigadier, and would later climb to the tank of regimental commander, after his predecessor passed away due to a severe case of lead poisoning three years ago. After a handful of campaigns in the backwaters, Alencaster yearns for a proper fight, and Calmora seems like a good battlefield.

Personality: Amendorra is generally reserved and tacit in her mannerisms. She is a veterans of the horrors in the Galaxy and thus devoid of the sometimes haughty attitudes of her junior Sisters. However, she is a zealous believer in the Saviour Emperor and suffers not the heretic to live at the first sign of it's taint. To those that she has spoken with many times, however, they would learn of a woman who is quite sociable.

Bio: Sister Amendorra was born into a household of utter poverty in the Golden Hives of Holy Terra. Her father working as an Administratum adept and her mother working as an Ecclesiarchy functionary. Both of whome would perish by an outbreak of Purple Fever, one of the numerous diseases endemic to the squalor of the lower reaches of Terra's hives, below the glistening spires that jut up from the centuries of pollution. Being servants of the Imperium this allowed her to be placed within the Schola Progenium. Her faith reinforced by the Imperial Education she was beginning to undertake. At least until she was seconded to the Adepta Sororitas. There, she began a life of intense combat training, prayer, and further education in how to be a valiant defender of Mankind's immortal souls. To be a bulwark against the depravity of the Galaxy that would lay Man low. That would dim the Light of the God-Emperor.

Her first combat mission as a full Battle-Sister was on Pradis XI. An Industrial world where the a Preceptory was dispatched to assist in the defense of a Cathedral bearing the bones of Saint Procopianus from an Ork WAAGH. As the orks assaulted the world and savage fighting spilled out across every street, block, and spire. Sisters fighting with jump packs among even the towering smoke stacks of the planet's manufactorums. The Orks were defeated but at tremendous cost. Many Sisters fell stemming the green tide, many maimed, and many more wounded.

Amendorra would then see a dozen campaigns across the stars as her order crusaded, defended, and reclaimed worlds for the God-Emperor. Often in conjunction with Imperial Guard and Space Marine forces. It was on the world of Alpharon V that she defended a grievously wounded Space Marine Captain from the Exorcists Chapter. Shouting litanies praising the God-Emperor and the Final Victory of Mankind as she unleashed a torrent of Bolter fire upon the enemies of Man. This selfless act earned her the respect of the Chapter and the gift of the Wings of Valdorus. A Relic that used advanced grav-tech to propel the wearer like a jump pack.

From there she earned the rank of Palatine and the honorific of Celestian. Her courage and fiery rhetoric emboldening the Imperial gun line. At the age of thirty she was conferred the rank of Canoness Commander.

Personality: Amendorra is generally reserved and tacit in her mannerisms. She is a veterans of the horrors in the Galaxy and thus devoid of the sometimes haughty attitudes of her junior Sisters. However, she is a zealous believer in the Saviour Emperor and suffers not the heretic to live at the first sign of it's taint. To those that she has spoken with many times, however, they would learn of a woman who is quite sociable.

Bio: Sister Amendorra was born into a household of utter poverty in the Golden Hives of Holy Terra. Her father working as an Administratum adept and her mother working as an Ecclesiarchy functionary. Both of whome would perish by an outbreak of Purple Fever, one of the numerous diseases endemic to the squalor of the lower reaches of Terra's hives, below the glistening spires that jut up from the centuries of pollution. Being servants of the Imperium this allowed her to be placed within the Schola Progenium. Her faith reinforced by the Imperial Education she was beginning to undertake. At least until she was seconded to the Adepta Sororitas. There, she began a life of intense combat training, prayer, and further education in how to be a valiant defender of Mankind's immortal souls. To be a bulwark against the depravity of the Galaxy that would lay Man low. That would dim the Light of the God-Emperor.

Her first combat mission as a full Battle-Sister was on Pradis XI. An Industrial world where the a Preceptory was dispatched to assist in the defense of a Cathedral bearing the bones of Saint Procopianus from an Ork WAAGH. As the orks assaulted the world and savage fighting spilled out across every street, block, and spire. Sisters fighting with jump packs among even the towering smoke stacks of the planet's manufactorums. The Orks were defeated but at tremendous cost. Many Sisters fell stemming the green tide, many maimed, and many more wounded.

Amendorra would then see a dozen campaigns across the stars as her order crusaded, defended, and reclaimed worlds for the God-Emperor. Often in conjunction with Imperial Guard and Space Marine forces. It was on the world of Alpharon V that she defended a grievously wounded Space Marine Captain from the Exorcists Chapter. Shouting litanies praising the God-Emperor and the Final Victory of Mankind as she unleashed a torrent of Bolter fire upon the enemies of Man. This selfless act earned her the respect of the Chapter and the gift of the Wings of Valdorus. A Relic that used advanced grav-tech to propel the wearer like a jump pack.

From there she earned the rank of Palatine and the honorific of Celestian. Her courage and fiery rhetoric emboldening the Imperial gun line. At the age of thirty she was conferred the rank of Canoness Commander.

Personality: Jaina is a fierce woman, her rage and stubbornness only outdone by the fires of her faith and zealotry. She can be impulsive, and arrogant, and often looks down on "inferior" branches of the Imperium's military arm. She has a defined hate for Xenos and Daemonic influences, which can only be matched ber her complete and utter distaste for the Inquisition and working with them. Her life philosophy can be summed up with "I have been given a duty and BY THE EMPEROR'S WILL I WILL SEE IT THROUGH!"

Bio: Jaina's father was a prominent Imperial Navy officer, Solar Admiral Derick Novara, who was slain in a battle against an Ork Waagh! shortly after her birth. Taken in as barely an infant, she was raised by the Schola Progenium on Holy Terra itself. Even as a child, Jaina was shown to have faith and zealotry greater than only a select few. This made her desirable by several branches of the Ecclesiarchy as she grew older, however the Sororitas eventually took her in at the age of 8. She flew through her training, especially excelling in combat, and upon her selection day, she joined the ranks of the Order of the Sacred Rose.

Within the Sacred Rose, Jaina saw multiple combat operations, particularly fighting Orks and Daemonic Infestation. Her ferocity and zealousness in battle earned her a promotion to Palantine rather quickly, but afterwards her advancement stalled. This was due to Jaina's outspoken hatred towards the Inquisition. Shortly after her acceptance into the Sacred Rose, her Commandry was paired with one Inquisitor Gannel to investigate a small moon in the Gothic sector. There they discovered an infestation of Khornate demons. Though Jaina believed that the Daemons could be removed from the planet before they became a major threat and advised her Canoness to simply enact search and destroy tactics, Gannel disagreed. While the Sisters were rooting out Daemons, Gannel ordered an Exterminatus, planning to destroy the moon with his small fleet. Though Jaina and the majority of her Commandry escaped, some were still caught in the destruction and lost. Since then Jaina has been highly critical of ever working with the inquisition, much to the chagrin of her superiors.

In order to minimalize this, and to honor the young woman's skill in combat, the Order saw fit to promote Jaina to become a Seraphim. Taken away from her Commandry, Jaina was trained in the ancient ways of the Daughters of the Emperor, including the use of a jump pack in combat and how to wield the lost technology of Inferno Pistols. Along with her 9 new squadmates, Jaina joined the elite of the Sororitas. She has since completed several missions with her squad, though none were on the scale that their new assignment to Calmorra was...
