Applause turns to silence, as the head of the IRB approaches the podium.

"This is to all the rugby fans all around the world. This is the moment you have all been waiting for. the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Vidoria - the first in Rennekka. This is the moment that the IRB, the host cities and so many Vidorian people have been working so hard for, to give you all this moment. This is to the players that will play fiercely in stadiums across this wonderful nation. This is to Vidoria Rugby president Marco Lludaira, who has worked for hours to allow for such a moment to happen. Over the next few weeks, you can all feel very proud for what you have contributed, and experience the very best the greatest sport in the world - rugby - has to offer.

The IRB and the nation of Vidoria proudly present to you the 2019 Rugby World Cup."

Silence turns to applause, as the teams of Vidoria and Liberimery enter the stadium.

Vidoria 20 - 3 Liberimery

0' - Kick off at Estadio Dieguas in Sejoria! Conditions are perfect today, with 25°C and minimal wind.

12' - Try! Vidoria scores the first try at this World Cup! An offload pass from Vidorian hooker Alex Navarro results in a try from Eliseo Nieves in the 12th minute, as the Liberimerian team simply was not present during Nieves' run to the try line. Vidoria 5 - 0 Liberimery.

14' - Conversion! What a start for the hosts! Roberto Cajigas kicks it right through the posts to give Vidoria an extra 2 points! Vidoria 7 - 0 Liberimery.

29' - Yellow card. A terrible high tackle from Liberimerian Vinicius Nakata Câmara at Vidorian Marcelo Orantes leads to a blood injury, a penalty and a 10 minute suspension to the Liberimerian player. A terrible beginning for the opposition.

30' - Miss! As Roberto Cajigas went for another drop kick - this time being a penalty - his foot misses the target, shooting the ball miles past the goal.

32' - Blood replacement. Vidorian Marcelo Orantes swaps out for Silvo Villaverde as he is being treated for a highly visible cut on his head.

40' - Half time. Vidoria 7 - 0 Liberimery.

40' - The second half of the game begins!

41' - Blood replacement. Marcelo Orantes returns after being treated for an injury.

48' - Drop goal! As the Liberimerian offence pushes into the Vidorian half, the Vidorian defence successfully fends off the Liberimerian offence. After a great pass, Felipe Cardoso Nunes manages to kick the ball into the goal from a distance, giving Liberimery 3 points. Is this the 3 points the Liberimerian team will need to motivate them to defeat the hosts? Vidoria 7 - 3 Liberimery.

59' - Try! After a successful attempt at the 'crash ball' technique, Alex Navarro is faced with an open try line. He sprints as fast as he can to avoid Liberimerian fullback Felipe Cardoso Nunes, one of the fastest rugby players of this era, and scores a wonderful try. Vidoria 12 - 3 Liberimery.

68' - Drop goal! After another one of many runs at the Liberimerian try line, the Vidorians finally succeed - however, they are faced by the entirety of the Libeirmerian defence. The Vidorians try to push through and score a try, but after 2 failed attempts, they pass the ball to Adrián d'Alba who kicks the ball inbetween the posts. Vidoria 15 - 5 Liberimery.

72' - Try! A very unfortunate Liberimerian side has been viciously attacked by their Vidorian opponents. After a failed pass by the Liberimerians, loosehead prop Diego Llanas sprints directly to the try line and overpowers the Liberimerian wings and fullback to score another try. Vidoria 20 - 3 Liberimery.

80' - And that is it! The hosts have defeated Liberimery 20-3!

Veleaz 34 - 23 Vaellenia

0' - Kickoff at Arena PFV in Vinazia! Despite incoming heat, conditions are more-or-less fine today, with 29°C and a light breeze coming from the east.

12' - Try! As the Veleazan number 5 approaches the try line, the Vaellenian team rushes to defend; but it is too late. A great beginning for the Veleazans as the Vaellenian team completely collapses!

13' Missed conversion.

16' - Try! The Vaellenians seem to not be able to defend at all, despite their defensive strategy. A frighteningly fast run from Veleaz's number 3 reassures Veleaz's lead: at least, for now.

17' - Missed conversion.

23' - Try! A fantastic beginning for Veleaz! Another fantastic, unexpected run from Veleaz's number 3 startles the opposition and provides Veleaz with an even greater advantage over the Vaellenians.

24' - Missed conversion.

37' - Try! An aggressive tackle by the Vaellenian number 2 gives possession to the Vaellenian hooker, who turns the chance into a beautiful try. Is it a breath of life for the Vaellenians?

38' - Missed conversion.

40' - Half time. Veleaz 15 - 5 Vaellenia.

40' - The second half of the game begins.

49' - Try! Vaellenia's number 11 pushes through the Veleazan team clinch another try for the Vaellenians! Will the Vaellenian team create a lead after their disastrous first half?

50' - Missed conversion.

57' - Drop goal! An unexpected drop goal from Vaellenia's number 13 makes the gap between Veleaz and Vaellenia even smaller, at only 2 points difference!

62' - Try! As the Veleazans get back to shape after a drastic change in power in the beginning of the second half, they find an opportunity to score - and they do! The Veleazan hooker outruns the Vaellenians, who have a huge, gaping hole in their defence.

63' - Conversion scored!

69' - Try! The Vaellenians have dug a very deep hole for themselves at the moment, but after some motivation from their manager they are up on their feet. An amazing try by the Vaellenian number 8 gives the Vaellenian team some hope against the Veleazans, who currently hold a great advantage.

70' - Conversion scored!

72' - Drop goal! For the first time in the game, after a drop goal from the Vaellenian fullback, the Vaellenians have given themselves a lead! Will they hold on to it, though?

76' - Try! The Veleazan number 2 has scored an amazing try; a try of the likes of Conti! This puts the Veleazans back where they started - with a lead!

77' - Conversion scored!

80' - Try! A last minute try by the Veleazan hooker. guarantees Veleaz's place in the semi-finals, together with Vidoria.

80' - Conversion missed.

80' - And that is it! Veleaz has secured their place in the semi-finals, together with Vidoria! On Sunday, their opponents will be announced in the second round of the quarter-finals.

Newrey 29 - 32 Atresca

0' - Kickoff at Estadio Fernando Juderías in Adrogué! The weather is looking good today, unlike the weather in Haválla during the Cuirpthe - Liiduria game, which is perfect for this game. This game is expected to be the biggest of this tournament, with the two best-ranked teams playing each-other in the quarterfinals, so lets hope this will be a great game to watch!

4' - Try! The Newreyan team easily pushes through the Atrescan team, allowing Newreyan Peter South to score an early try! Newrey get an early lead, something necessary as they face what is expected to be their most difficult opponent in this tournament!

5' - Conversion scored!

11' - Try! As expected, the Newreyans dominate the entirety of the field. A weak tackle on Simon Jenkins allows an easy pass to Alan Jones to turn into another try! A great start for Newrey, and a terrible beginning for Atresca.

12' - Conversion missed.

17' - Try! A third for the Newreyans! Taft Clinton, after a devastating tackle by Ernesto Gallo just seconds earlier, manages to receive the ball and run straight at the try line. This run is successful, and it gives Newrey the perfect beginning of the knockout stages - not so perfect for Atresca, though.

18' - Conversion missed.

28' - Try! After a disastrous beginning of the game, the Rams seem to have risen. The Atrescan captain Ernesto Gallo has given what the Atrescan fans all wanted - hope. Despite the clear domination, Atrescan fans on platforms like Chirper clearly have not lost hopes yet!

29' - Conversion scored!

35' - Drop goal! Not enough to level the score, but enough to raise the hopes of the Rams. Atrescan Savino Rossano drop kicks the ball far into the distance in his half of the field, right through the bars and slowly diminishing Newrey's lead.

40' - Half time. Newrey 17 - 10 Atresca.

40' - The second half of the game begins.

48' - Try - exactly what the Atrescans needed! Atresca's hooker Melanio Desio scores a beautiful try, as expected of a man like him. The Rams are closing the gap, and the Newreyans will need to act fast before it is too late.

49' - Conversion scored!

55' - Try! Newrey is back at it with another try to get back to a lead after a levelled score. Newrey's number 8, Adam Docker, scores an important try to the Newreyans as the Rams threatened to overcome last year's champions.

56' - Conversion scored!

62' - Try! Newrey's Frank Baird goes back to basics and scores a very simple try against a seemingly unorganised Atresca. Newrey returns to their expected domination!

63' - Conversion missed.

68' - Try! Atresca's Arcibaldo Subino, after some motivation from his manager, kickstarts Atresca's final attempt of victory. He does this by creating the perfect opportunity for a try, which he clearly took!

69' - Conversion scored!

75' - Try! Atresca's Bacco Martino levels the score once again in the final minutes of the game! A try that was arguably rushed, but successful nonetheless.

76' - Conversion missed.

79' - Drop goal! In the last minute of the game, Atrescan Giancarlo Pieroni along with his team run up to the try line - after an unsuccessful attempt at a try, Pieroni kicks the ball in between the two posts and scores a drop goal that will dictate the entire game. Newrey has only ONE minute to return!

80' - And that is it! For the first time in history, Atresca beat Newrey - in this case, knocking the champions out of the competition! As the Newreyans fall to the ground in despair, the Atrescans celebrate as they beat their rivals for the first time in history!

Cuirpthe 10 - 22 Vidoria

0' - Kickoff at Estadio Dieguas! The weather today is great, and the stadium atmosphere is amazing - this is a semifinal, after all! Today, the teams of Vidoria and Cuirpthe will fight out for a spot in the final! Both have been playing spectacularly recently, so lets hope for a great game today!

8' - Try! Another early try in this tournament, this time by the Cuirptheans. An amazing set of passes and a strategy that just seems to work against the offensive Vidorians completely dismantles the back. The only person that could catch up to the Cuirpthean hooker is Vidorian Calino Armas, but to no avail, as the Cuirpthean reaches the try line just before contact.

9' - Conversion scored!

27' - Drop goal! Another 3 points for the Cuirptheans as the two teams face eachother with equal strength. After a series of rucks that lasted 15 minutes, the Cuirptheans eventually came out on top with a drop goal by the full-back.

36' - Try! After a painful beginning of the game, the Vidorians score a try minutes before the end of the first half of the game. A slightly tired Cuirpthean side were not difficult to get past by the Vidorian offence, who score a try with hopes to push the score to their lead.

37' - Conversion scored!

40' - Half time. Cuirpthe 10 - 7 Vidoria.

40' - The second half of the game begins!

48' - Try! This time by Vidorian star hooker Alex Navarro, it's a beautiful try that absolutely shocks the Cuirptheans! 3 passes in quick succession by the Vidorian front line cleared the space for Navarro, who knew what he had to do - sprint at the try line at full speed.

49' - Conversion missed.

63' - Try! In a complete change of events, Vidoria now hold a lead by 7 points! A powerful kick by Adrián d'Alba lands straight into the Cuirpthean full-back's arms, who came into contact with Vidorian Lucio Marciel - an attempt at an offload pass is intercepted by Diego Llanas, who scores his first try of the tournament.

64' - Conversion missed.

77' - Try! Unfortunately, no hope for the Cuirptheans now as the Vidorian front line powers through the tired, yet still energetic, Cuirpthean team. A beautiful try by Marcio Devera guarantees Vidoria a spot in the finals for the first time in years!

80' - And that is it! In an unbelievable turn of events, the Jaguars turned a painful beginning into an amazing ending as they, for the first time in many years, have a spot in the finals of the Rugby World Cup!

Veleaz 14 - 3 Atresca

0' - Kickoff at Parque Verde! The second semifinal today, hopefully another great one! The weather is quite poor today, with slight rain. However, there is no noticeable wind, the temperature is bearable and the rain is predicted to end into the second half, so there will be no noticeable issues! Let's hope this will be an amazing game to watch!

26' - Drop goal! After an uneventful beginning, Atrescan Gastone Pizzino kicks the ball between the poles, pushing Atresca into the lead - very beneficial for a game of such importance!

35' - Try! Veleaz's offence pushes strong to change the score in the first half, and they succeeded! An arguably messy try, but still successful! Veleaz has the lead!

36' - Conversion scored!

40' - Half time. Veleaz 7 - 3 Atresca.

40' - The second half of the game begins!

62' - Drop goal! An amazing drop goal by Veleaz's number 9 pushes Veleaz further into the lead! Absolutely fantastic play by the Veleazan backs!

63' - Disallowed! The referee, after a few conversations with the sideline assistants, came to the conclusion that the drop goal was preceded by a forward pass.

71' - Yellow card! A very rough tackle by Atrescan captain Ernesto Gallo was a breach of foul play rules. It is 14 men against 15 - this could be catastrophic for the rams.

73' - Try! And, as we expected, it is catastrophic! The Veleazans have scored another try, this time more elegant - due to the fact that there is an lack in men, the Atrescan back collapsed, allowing the Veleazan number 4 to score an easy try.

74' - Conversion scored!

80' - And that is it! Veleaz will face the hosts, Vidoria, in the final of this year's Rugby World Cup! A very unexpected result indeed - however, seeing as there have been many surprises this World Cup, this score is overshadowed by other events. The Rams, who were expected to reach the finals this year, have failed to do so against an upcoming threat to other top rugby teams, such as Newrey. The Rams are to face Cuirpthe next Friday in the Bronze Final.

Atresca 13 - 8 Cuirpthe

0' - Kickoff at Parque Verde in Sejoria! As expected, the stadium has an amazing atmosphere, with an attendance of 61,000! The weather here is fine, and we are expected to see a great game as some great teams battle each other out for 3rd place - the final guaranteed spot in the next year's World Cup.

18' - Try! Cuirpthe gain the lead as they push through a very strong Atrescan team. Both teams seem to try and show their maximum potential, and Cuirpthe came out on top in the beginning.

19' - Conversion missed.

34' - Try! Atrescan Ernesto Gallo, who had a terrible game against Veleaz that cost them the cup, returns to his outstanding form as he and his team show the way they dominate. After an outstanding tackle, the Rams gained possession, which they quickly converted into a try chance - which they obviously took. It is now level.

35' - Conversion scored!

40' - Half time. Atresca 7 - 5 Cuirpthe.

40' - The second half of the game begins!

43' - Drop goal! And the Cuirptheans are quick to gain back their lead! After an unsuccessful attempt at a try by the Cuirpthean hooker, the ball was offloaded to their number 8 who kicked it through the posts with ease.

67' - Drop goal! After a long period of back and forth possession with a few unsuccessful attempts on both sides, the Rams finally get an opportunity to gain their lead. Both teams are neck and neck now, and if the Cuirptheans don't act now, the Rams will attempt to get another few points to make that gap larger and larger.

74' - Drop goal! Another for the Atrescans! As the Cuirpthean defence collapses, the Rams use the opportunity to widen the gap - and they did! Though Cuirpthe are only one try away from levelling the score, a try is unlikely now that the game is coming to a close... or is it?

80' - And it is too late! Atresca come out as 3rd place and bronze medalists! This was a game of a lot of back-and-forth leads, and I don't think the scoreline represents that - the Cuirptheans were in the lead for a majority of the game. Congratulations Atresca as well as Cuirpthe, for coming this far this year. Now, there is only one game left of this tournament - the final! Veleaz, the team that defeated the champions, are to face Vidoria, the host that surprised us all, tomorrow!

Veleaz 21 - 16 Vidoria

0' - This is it! The grand final! This is the Arena Nacional in Aljuá, one of the largest stadiums in Aeia, with an amazing atmosphere full of passionate fans! Today, Veleaz - a team that has beaten the best of the best - will face against Vidoria - the tournament hosts, that have surprised everyone with their outstanding performances. This will certainly be an amazing game, with strong rivalries between the two nations. The conditions are perfect for this game, with only a light breeze - may the best get hold of the trophy!

5' - Try! Vidorian Marcelo Orantes scores the first try of this final - the first of many. Orantes utilises his strength advantage to get hold of the ball from Veleazan possession, and runs down the left side of the pitch along with Diego Llanas. The sidekick proved helpful, as the Veleazan fullback came close to contact - however, he was put to the ground by Llanas as Orantes scored wonderful try.

6' - Conversion scored!

22' - Drop goal! As the Veleazans push up further and further into the Veleazan half, they find a possibility for a try - a possibility to level the game. The Veleazan hooker gives an attempt, before getting tackled to the ground by Isandro Llanos. He offloaded the ball into the hands of the Veleazan number 10, who takes no chances and kicks it through the posts.

31' - Try! The Veleazans take the lead now, with a fantastic try from the Veleazan hooker. A dozen passes was enough to dismantle the Vidorian back and allow for a genius try - another fantastic try this final, and a contender for the try of the tournament!

32' - Conversion missed.

40' - Half time. Veleaz 8 - 7 Vidoria.

40' -The second half of the game begins.

49' - Drop goal! After a very eventful first half that led Vidoria into a 1 point deficit, the Jaguars show strong promise to beat Veleaz and hold the World Cup Trophy for the first time in many years. As this is the case, a very determined Vidorian side push through the Veleazan defence with a very sturdy attack. The Veleazans resisted strongly, but lost in the end - however, a last second tackle by the Veleazan number 9 left Vidoria with a drop goal rather than a try, as the Veleazans put their defence back in shape after a gaping hole was formed. The Vidorian Roberto Cajigas resorted to a drop goal, that still pushes Vidoria into the lead.

55' - Try! As always, the Veleazans bring their usual comeback with a huge one-up to the Vidorians: in this case, a successful try. Another beautiful one, in fact! The Jaguars loosened up a little bit, which was a huge mistake - their rivals are as determined as they are, if not more. The powerful, devastating Veleazan offence - the one that obliterated the Rams - pushed hard on the Vidorians, who could not keep them out. In the end, the Veleazans gained back their lead, as the Veleazan number 7 smashed the ball to the ground, with another possible 2 points added to the lead.

56' - Conversion missed.

60' - Drop goal! And it is level again, with another fantastic offensive move by the Vidorians. The Jaguars do not seem to focus on tries anymore, instead looking into earning as much drop goals as possible. This amazing long-distance kick was made by Óscar Ortolano, a player notorious for his kicks - this levels the score, and allows both teams to make their moves to get the trophy into their hands.

67' - Drop goal! The Vidorians have made their goal clear, and it's working! Another offensive move, this time a counterattack after an unsuccessful Veleazan move, allowed the Jaguars to kick the ball between the posts with relative ease. With 13 minutes of play left, the Vidorians have a lead - will this be the final move, or will the entire game change?

72' - Try! AGAIN, another one-up by the Veleazans! After a supposedly comfortable lead, the Veleazans score another try to put themselves in the lead! A beautiful try by the Veleazan number 1 - an absolute success for the Veleazans! However, will they keep that lead? We only have 8 minutes let, but the landscape of the game can still change with only one drop goal!

79' - Drop goal! And the Veleazans cement their victory with another semi-successful offensive move - not as perfect as the try they aimed for, but enough to emerge victorious. With only 1 minute left, there is almost no hope for the Vidorians, unless it's going to be a miracle! A beautiful kick by the Veleazan number 3 is sure to cement their victory!

80' - And that is it! As this fantastic tournament comes to a close, for the first time in many years...

Veleaz lifts the trophy and wins this year's Rugby World Cup!

The Veleazans are busy celebrating such an amazing success. However, a man's success is another man's failure. For the first time in 5 years, the Vidorians lost in the Arena Nacional, and this time in such a moment - the final of the Rugby World Cup. Congratulations Veleaz for such an amazing performance as well as Vidoria for putting up an amazing fight, as well as every other nation that participated for showing the best you can and giving your best shot at proving you are truly the best of the best! See you all next time in the next year's Rugby World Cup!
