NCTV handled this by shutting down its signals, at least until the end of hostilities. This is low quality because it's taken from a DX from Aeprelh, so expect oddities.

Yugoterra decided that it would be a good idea to put red-white-blue flashing colors to EXREMELY loud EAS Tones, with text simply reading "NUCLEAR WAR INCOMING" in each of Yugoterra's languages. Of course, this has caused SEIZURES on top of paranoia.

At all started simple at first. It all began with a simple message across every electronic device in our nation reading:

Sometimes that message came through an e-mail. Other times, it was received through text or pop-up message. More often than not though, it was received through multiple means with different formats to more suitably fit the method it was received. Oddly enough, there was never a panic. Only a constant feeling of anticipation or some sense of nostalgia, like when you finally graduate from a school and visit years later or looking around your home for the very last time before you move away. For some, that's exactly what they did. Almost nobody went into denial. How could they? The evidence was surrounding them everywhere they looked. Many responded with skepticism or used it as some form of denial. "Perhaps it's a glitch," they thought. "Maybe something is just giving the predictive warning software false flags. It's happened before long ago in the past."

As the nation held its breath, a sense of caution loomed over its populace. However, the thought of nothingness wasn't able to be kept from nagging in the back of their heads. A day went by without any formal announcement by the government and the possibility of the event only being a false alarm was an idea that began to spread out of hope. People continued to go to work but went home early to spend more time with family and explore the sights their island had to offer. By the end of the day, everything was more or less the same; only that people were more consciously clinging onto the hope that the end of everything they knew was something they would never see within their lifetime. People everywhere regardless of boy and girl, young and old, and, for the most part, their occupation, went to bed and awoke at their normal times. With a whole day gone by and no announcements being given, people figured that nothing was to happen. Yet, at the same time, paradoxically knew that it was the fact that there was no announcements that they should be afraid.

People, once again resumed living their daily lives as if the alert had never been given but began to start tensing up as if their subconsciousness was the trigger to a starting gun for a race that started wherever they stood and ended wherever was a viable shelter. Then it had happened. Around noon everyone received a second notification message reading:

For some, the message was received during work on a computer through an e-mail that came with a special pop-up notification. For children, it came in the form of a message that interrupted what they viewed on tablets or whatever was being displayed during a lecture or educational video. For anybody listening, it came in the form of classic EAS warnings through television, radio, and sirens. While the sirens only wailed for a short burst of time—only a few minutes at most—it was clear enough to get the message across to anyone. Within 60 seconds, groups of people that were exceptionally trained for the end of days to come made themselves known and began to help prevent a chaotic scene from unfolding by calmly organizing everyone into emergency evacuation procedures. Within minutes, people were well on their way to their island nation's Massive Underground Evacuation Superstructure or making last minute preparations before heading deep into the Earth such as harvesting genetically modified wheat crops. Within hours, the streets and buildings in cities were not occupied by even a single soul. Everything had finished long ago and what extra that was done was completely optional if need be.

The bunker's blast doors had shut leaving millions of people inside of concrete catacombs only to open if their anticipated fears were proven wrong or the worst would quickly come to pass. Unfortunately, neither of which seemed like a possibility as the looming sense of doom grew ever heavier.

At 18:00, seven hours behind UTC, a third notification was received and everyone's fears were confirmed that the end of the world they knew was nigh.

Not even half an hour passed before they all received the next message.

And with that, the world they knew was dead.
