Whether this is by complete reshuffling of the government, or waiting for the members of the government to recover from what has afflicted them. Although the Designated Successor is never made public, for obvious reasons, rumors have circled that former politicians and even the heir to the Grand Duchy of Wumoria have been on the shortlist.

If the head of government, the Prime Minister, is temporarily unable to lead, then the Royal Speaker of the National Council and Parliament takes over. If the Royal Speaker of the National Council and Parliament is also unavailable, then the role drops down to the Royal Speaker of the Upper Chamber of Parliament.

The Minister of the Provinces is the de facto Deputy Prime Minister.

Parliamentary confidence still applies here, and it is custom for the Acting PM to inform the Speaker of the Grand Council, Deputy President-General, and President-General of assuming temporary command of the government.
