Uh, no, the crippled die and the sick get bloodletted until they die of blood loss. (As was the case until the 1800's)

That is why I planned to pay all her medical bills, as long as I could use the her in promotional materials. Maybe wheel her around a few rallies where -- due to unfortunately heavy sedation -- she'd be unable to give any speeches (she seems likely to remind people that... you know, my character let her fall), but my character would be able to do all the talking:
"People of France, look at this woman! Look at what this corrupt country has done to her! If Leblanc could only talk, she would urge you to rise up against our oppressors, against the people whose system perpetuates these heinous crimes!"

it was actually inspired by the NS Mascot Issue (where Option 1 I think was to use a disabled mascot)
it came up in Issues for me today
then I decided to weave it into the Annie verse for a Generals discussion/moral dilemma
We are proud of the Leblanc Battalion,
And the stand against kings that they made,
For they fought like true sons and daughters.
As part of the People's Brigade.

LeBlanc's flag is deepest red
It's shrouded oft our martyred dead
Our banner bright, our symbol plain
Of human right and human gain
Then raise LeBlanc's red standard high
Beneath its shade, we'll never die
Though some may flinch and others fear
We'll keep her red flag flying here!

I hate monarchies, or anything of the sort, however this is medieval times, it’s really to be expected. Besides that, I see nothing wrong with it. I don’t really find it to personally be exploitation, as I’m being quite handsomely rewarded, and given the possibility of being able to walk again. I can’t say I see a downside to this.

I don't find the situation in the OP entirely disagreeable
it's not a great situation for sure
but not as hellish as others make it out to be
at the same time, I'd go for the option with the treatment probability because of course, I'd rather be able to walk

Your OP is not even historically accurate. Or even accurate to reality for that matter, what with the literal magic and all.
I’m sure being Jew during World War 2 would have been a whale of a time if I also happened to be able to shoot lasers from my eyes and had an army of flying monkeys.

it's set in an alternate universe (as are all IM hypotheticals)
100% historical accuracy is never claimed

I was going for a more optimistic Disney vibe.
If you are The Annie... then you would be positively transformed/rehabilitated by this process. You would discover Love and Responsibility. Later on, you may discover that you were the Witch Queen but you realize that you’re in a happier place now and decide not to return to war making. You have a new life and you decide to stick to this for the sake of your loved ones and you are happier for it.
This is like a spin on Sleeping Beauty. Instead of a commoner finding out later that they are an innocent princess, they find out that they were a magical mass murderer. There’s a period of coping but eventually they re-adjust.

... Okay, this does change a lot, for the worse. If I learned I was a genocidal maniac, it would be Suicide time. Also, you're putting emotions and feelings in my head. This is like a spin on Sleeping Beauty.
