A. Royalty in Medieval Europe was full of incest and genetic disorders (Half of the reason they're called Blue Bloods is because of rampant incest making them easier to bruise and having harder to heal wounds).
B. Almost no one got to experience those things because they were serfs and peasants who spent their entire 30 year life span tilling the land for the royal class, who only made up about 5-8% of the population and were the products of rampant incest.
C. Also way to forget the church and the massive stranglehold it had over culture and science back then.
D. No indoor plumbing, parasites, no internet, The Black Death, no cars or planes or trains, no electricity, no medicine, almost no spices, etc...
