Jesus Christ, Peragus takes a long time to complete. Taris at least had a lot of character to it with a lot of side stuff, Peragus is just a mindless, almost linear killfest with no real, worthwhile lore at all. What an absolutely awful first "planet".

Skip Peragus mod is on the workshop and it gives you all the xp and items you would have gotten there.

Besides Peragus is better than Telos. Not better than Taris though.

I know I'm in the minority, but I actually enjoy Peragus. It helps that I know it like the back of my hand though. I think I can do everything in it in under 2 hours at this point.

The new movies have not really given us any new or interesting stories or gave us any new insight on the universe.

Hopefully the next movie will fix that.

Hopefully we'll get to finally see what the Knights of Ren are about, and that could be interesting.

Granted I have zero hope in Abram's ability to follow through on anything in a satisfying way.

It's because of money mystery box storytelling.

The basis is that you come up with really good idea and hook, but instead of writing something out and planning on how that idea/hook will work, you just write whatever comes to mind or any idea you have to keep the audience from actually figuring out the reasons. This fails because you're going to have to come up with an answer eventually, and those who do usually either come up with something that doesn't live up to the hype or makes no sense because they have a deadline and need to come up with anything. (See Lost, Battlestar Galactica, etc...)

Gotta plan carefully from beginning to end. I know I'll be ass slapped to death for saying this, but even the prequels had a coherent plan despite how much they sucked on toes.

Yep. The worldbuilding/setup in the prequels was solid indeed.

The sequels feel like a "reboot" of the OT. Episode 7 drew many parallels with Episode 4 and wasn't afraid to show it. Episode 8 also did that to a lesser degree, especially with Kylo Ren betraying Snoke. Episode 9's trailer also reminded me of Episode 6 in the sense that Rey was portrayed as a dark side user, just like Luke seemed to fall in the dark side towards the end of the OT.

The prequels are by far the best movies in terms of world-building. Horrible movies nonetheless.

With that being said, Disney has actually changed a few things in the SW universe, such as how kyber crystals work.

Question: do people like Rogue One?

And TLJ did give you new things... you just don't like the casino and weapons dealers. Doesn't mean they're not a new facet of the world. (As opposed to wealthy figures who are crime bosses. Had lots of those before.)

Perhaps the only solid part of those films, even if it feels inconsistent with the OT.

It's taken until the end of today's session for me to realize that I'm not going to be getting a lightsaber for quite a long time. This makes me extremely agitated. I think this is how it feels for a sex addict to go too long without a fix. How is a Star Wars game like this allowed to deprive of you of a lightsaber for so long? This is a grave injustice.

It's true, Kotor 2 takes awhile to give you a lightsaber. I seem to recall building mine after Nar Shaddaa (always my first planet), but I could be mistaken. But, on the flip side, non-lightsaber weapons are way more useful than in the first game. And you get Force powers right from the get go. No trying to best Starkiller at level 2 here. Out of curiosity, what order are you doing the planets?

I think its the worst of the new movies. 2/3rds boring, awesome last third, only 2 memorable characters, bland as fuck acting, horrible fucking timing.

It's the least 'offensive' of the new movies because even if you're a huge Kyle Katarn fan like me you're not going to grumbling about how it fucked up the lore or did this or that wrong.

Honestly there should have been like a few weeks gap between R1 and 4. Makes the Star Wars feel claustrophobic. Should have had the plans taken from the fleet and moved around until eventually ending up on Leia's ship. Having Leia be at that suicide mission makes no sense.

It certainly makes the crew’s protests a little nonsensical in retrospect.

Probably Dantooine first. Makes sense to go there for lightsaber and Jedi stuff, I think. After that, I have no idea.

Makes sense they'd hold off on giving you one since even a low upgrade lightsaber makes the game trivial.
