As US-based news sites and channels become increasingly unpopular in The Pacific Ocean Islands, a gap in the market was created. Now, the Pacific News Corporation has emerged to fill that gap, giving Isleños news which is both relevant and independent. Unlike many US-based broadcasters, we try our hardest to give our viewers and readers pure, unadulterated facts. Not only this, but as the first nationwide, Pacific Ocean Islands - based news service, PNC is able to keep the entire coutry up to date with events in both Harrisburg and Fort Elizabeth. This will allow Isleños to hold their governments to account more effectively than ever before, and will connect the various regions of The Pacific Ocean Islands which would previously have receieved their news from services such as the Dragon City Gazette, Las Islas, Northern News, Noticias Andaluzes, and the Capital Bridge Times. This has led to fragmentation within our society, as people from different backgrounds, degrees of wealth, education, and birthplace have received very varied accounts of their country. However, we beleive that there is only one class of people in this country, and that is first. This is how we have derived our mantra: 'Putting the people first'. It is our view that as a news broadcaster our job is to serve our audience, sorting fact from fiction and presenting the truth in ways which all of our viewers will find both insightful and accessible.

PM agrees US trade deal

Number One has announced that Prime Minister Jeffery Godwin's visit to the United States has ended with a succesful trade deal. A statement released this morning also detailed that Mr Godwin had agreed with Presideent Trump to purchase $65bn (£47.5bn) of US-manufactured arms, with the option to expand this deal to around $180bn (£131.5bn) by 2025. The White House has said it is 'pleased' with the deal and that the two leaders would hold a joint press conference later today.

Felipe judge rules Gyratory Park Model Railway is 'unlawful transportation network'

A model railway in Felipe's Gyratory Park could be forced to close after a judge in the National Court has ruled that it is a 'transportation network'. Current regulations require that all passenger-carrying transportation networks require licenses from the Passenger Transport Safety Board (PTSB) and must be written to the relevant Region,Municipality, Borough, or County's Present and Future Infrastructure Planning Scheme (PFIPS). It also requires businesses to pay 5% tax, although some of this is invested in further expanding the infrastructure networks.

However, statute law does not specifically mention model railways, which have previously been considered as entertainment attractions. This means that they only require standard planning permission and public liability insurance, while as small businesses they are taxed at a rate of 0.5%

The Municipal Council of Felipe, which brought the case, argued that the size of the line and speed of the trains, which run on coal, meant that they were 'frequently used by commuters travelling through the park, including those transferring between Felipe Central and Isla del Lago [stations] which both border the park'. They also refferred to a PFIPS update request from Isla del Lago Station which proposed construction of a tunnel under the Felipe Central Gyratory into the Park 'to facilitate an easier transfer to Felipe Central'. The request was approved, despite the fact that the official transfer route at the time was the number 10 bus route, which runs around the gyratory and takes up to ten minutes longer than the model railway during rushhour. Another request from Metropolitano de Felipe, was rejected by the Council who deemed that 'there is not sufficient demand for services given the existing direct rail and road connections between the two stations,' while adding that the work required would cause excessive disruption to passengers.
