Aviontier, Inc is an Ibican based manufacturer of plans, trains and trams. Aviontier is most well known for their Aviontier Regional Jet (ARJ) series of aircraft, but are also the largest manufacturer of trains for light rail systems in major cities around Ibica. Aviontier is headquartered in Laffayette, where it was incorporated in 1965. Although it is most well known for its aviation division, Aviontier was originally just in the locomotive manufacturing industry, but saw an openning in the small plane market. Today, Aviontier employs over 35,000 people and has a domestic revenue of over $9 billion. The current CEO is Wilkie Beck

ARJ 200 - Unit Cost $28 Million

The Aviontier ARJ200 is a family of jet-propelled regional airliners, based upon the design of the Aviontier CL-600 business jet. Roughly, the CL-600 was stretched 5.92 metres (19 feet 5 inches), which was achieved using fuselage plugs fore and aft of the wing, and was matched with the adoption of a reinforced and modified wing, an expanded fuel capacity, improved landing gear to handle the higher weights, and an additional pair of emergency exit doors. When installed in a typical seating configuration, the ARJ200 would accommodate 50 passengers; while in a maximum configuration, 52 passengers could be accommodated. It was powered by a pair of General Electric CF34-3A1 turbofan engines, each of which was capable of generating up to 41.0 kN (4,180 kgp / 9,220 lbf) of thrust.

ARJ 500 - Unit Cost $42 Million

Seating ranges from 63 to 78. The ARJ500 comes in three versions: Series 500, Series 501, and Series 502. The Series 500 is limited to 68 passengers, the 501 to 70 passengers, and the 502 to 78 passengers. The ARJ500 also has three fuel/weight options: standard, ER, and LR. The ER version has an increase in fuel capacity as well as maximum weight, which in turn increases the range. The LR increases those values further. The early build aircraft were equipped with two General Electric CF34-8C1 engines. However, later-build aircraft are now equipped as standard with the -8C5 model, which is essentially an uprated 8C1. Most airlines have replaced the older engines with the newer model, while a few have kept the older -8C1 in their fleet. Maximum speed is Mach 0.85 (903 km/h; 488 kn) at a maximum altitude of 12,500 m (41,000 ft). Depending upon payload, the CRJ700 has a range of up to 3,620 km (2,250 mi) with original engines, and a new variant with CF34-8C5 engines will have a range of up to 4,660 km (2,900 mi).

AS100 - Unit Cost $84 Million

The AS100 is a family of narrow-body, twin-engine, medium-range jet airliners, that Aviontier designed specifically to fill the market spot left open between small and large commercial jets. The aircraft contains a high proportion of composite materials and features larger windows. The ASeries cabin features large, rotating overhead storage bins, allowing each passenger to stow a sizeable carry-on bag overhead. Aviontier claims that compared to the cabins of current in-service narrowbody aircraft, the ASeries provides airlines with the highest overhead bin volume per passenger and a wider aisle that allows for faster boarding and disembarkation of passengers. The ASeries aircraft contain 70% advanced materials comprising 46% composite materials and 24% aluminium-lithium. Bombardier claims an overall 15% lower seat-mile cost, 20% lower fuel burn and a CO2 emissions advantage, a 25% reduction in maintenance costs and four-fold reduction in the noise footprint compared to existing production aircraft.

AEJ100 - Unit Cost $30 Million

The baseline AEJ100 was launched at the 1999 Nevada Air Show as the Aviontier Continental. Its supercritical wings have a fixed leading-edge and a 27% sweep angle, its 1.15 m (3.8 ft) winglets reduce cruise lift-induced drag by 17%. It climbs to FL410 in 18 min with a 455 kg (1,003 lb) fuel burn at MTOW/ISA, where at a 14,330 kg (31,590 lb) weight it burns 680 kg (1,500 lb)/h at Mach 0.8 / 445 kn (824 km/h) tas, 875 kg (1,929 lb)/h at Mach 0.83 / 465 kn (861 km/h) tas. The fuselage and the wing are semi-monocoque aluminum structures, the winglets are composite. Outboard ailerons are manually actuated, elevators and rudder are hydraulic with a mechanical backup, fly-by-wire spoilers augment roll control, act as speedbrakes and dump lift on the ground, hydraulic single-slotted fowler flap have four positions : 0/10/20/30°. The Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics include four LCD displays, an EICAS and Maintenance Diagnostics Computer, an EGPWS, a TCAS II and an ELT.

AEJ200 - Unit Cost $35 Million

The AEJ200 was announced on 25 October 2001 and launched on 5 February 2002 with letters of intent for 15 aircraft with a 87,700 lb (39,800 kg) MTOW and a 4,800 nmi (8,900 km) range at Mach 0.85. The spec basic operating weight is 50,350 lb (22,840 kg) but are actually closer to 51,600 lb (23,400 kg). It can carry between eight and 19 passengers, the new seat converts to a full berth; there is an optional private room aft and the galley has room to prepare 16 five-course meals. It was priced at $40M in 2008, it has forward and aft lavatories, and has an optional crew rest area. The tail fuel tank is removed and fuel is limited in the wings, some avionics are rearranged to gain usable cabin length and the interior completions allowance is 3,200 kg. At high-speed cruise, it burns 5,000 lb (2,300 kg) of fuel in the first hour, then 4,000 lb (1,800 kg) the second hour and 3,000 lb (1,400 kg) for the third hour. In 2018, Early models with Honeywell avionics are sold for $10-20 million, while post-2012 aircraft with the modern Cockpit can fetch $22-36 million. Major inspection every 180 months cost $800,000-1.2 million and two 8,000h engine overhauls can run $4 million.

Light/Heavy Rail

Lenovia (AT-2)

Lenovia Metro is the current name given to an automated rapid transit system manufactured by Aviontier Transportation. Lenovia Metro systems run on conventional metal rails and pull power from a third rail, but are powered by a linear induction motor that provides traction by pulling on a "fourth rail" placed between the running rails. A new version of the technology being marketed by Aviontier is compatible with standard electric rotary propulsion.

AT-5

Cars are arranged as married pairs, where each car contains a complete set of controls for an engineer, conductor, or brakeman. However, the 'B' Cars (denoted by odd-numbered car designations) contain a handicapped accessible restroom, which is larger than the restroom provided on the "A" railcars and designed to accommodate a wheelchair, as well as an attendant and/or service animal (such as a guide dog, hearing dog or service dog) accompanying the passenger. The enlarged bathroom reduces the number of seats in the car.

AT-22

There are two types of cars: "A" (cab at one end) and "B" (no cabs). "A" cars are powered with four traction motors each, with the passenger doors opposite each other. The "B" cars are powered by two traction motors at the number-two end, and the passenger doors are staggered (car ends are numbered on the lower body just above the truck). The trains are linked up in 5-car, A-B-B-B-A sets, but also can be linked in sets of 4 cars (A-B-B-A), 6 cars (A-B-B-B-B-A), 9 cars (one 5-car set and one 4-car set), or 11 cars (one 5-car set and one 6-car set).
