Personality: Completely and utterly ruthless, Strucker has no morality whatsoever and is willing to sacrifice many for his plans. In his days during the Second World War, Strucker had always been extremely prideful and arrogant, yet his experiences paired with his intelligence has made Strucker, not exactly humble, but much mellowed, now relying more on cold calculating logic and intellect. At the same time, Strucker can be somewhat charismatic and can even at times be kind and comforting (though the latter is mostly a farce to gain people's trust).

Backstory: Baron Wolfgang Von Strucker was born in 1895 as the heir to the Strucker Family; a long-spanning wealthy and powerful dynasty which all members had in common: members of the ancient organisation HYDRA. Having gone through HYDRA Preparatory Academy and some of the best education in Germany, von Strucker showed his extremely high intelligence at a young age and was said to display a large amount of potential for leadership. Despite this, Strucker was always somewhat at odds with his parents and other older more traditional members of HYDRA, seeing their continued worship of the "diety" known as the Hive to be outdated and useless; especially since this supposed "diety" has done nothing for HYDRA besides taking away good loyal members.
That was why when Johann Schmidt created his new public science-oriented sect of HYDRA in 1934, von Strucker (despite the wishes of his parents) was one of its first members. Rising through the ranks rapidly, von Strucker helped design many technological wonders and advancements; most notably the Satan Claw. His sheer intelligence and natural ability to lead soon caught the attention of Schmidt himself, at this point taking the moniker "Red Skull," who made him into one of his lieutenants. This effectively made Strucker one of the highest-ranking members of HYDRA and one of Red Skull's closest confidants; only after men like Arnim Zola and Werner Reinhardt, the latter of whom Strucker became friends with. He eagerly joined Schmidt when HYDRA broke off with Nazi Germany, finally seeing HYDRA's destiny for a New World Order begin coming to fruition. That was until Captain America came along.
Von Strucker faced the good Captain on several occasions, never able to destroy him yet always getting away. As Captain America and his Howling Commandos continued to destroy facility after facility, wiping out Strucker's good work, his power waned as did HYDRA's. In 1945, von Strucker was finally captured and held in an SSR Facility along with other members of HYDRA. After the defeat of HYDRA, the disappearance of Red Skull and Captain America, von Strucker broke out of the facility and escaped along with a small cell of loyal members. For years, von Strucker was on the run from the SSR (reformed into SHIELD), and for years von Strucker only barely made it. By the late 60s, von Strucker's resources had dwindled and soon during was diagnosed with terminal cancer. This, paired with his inability to join his HYDRA comrades in SHIELD because of his still wanted status, lead von Strucker to attempt one last desperate attempt at survival.
Using the very last of his resources, von Strucker performed an experiment that would transfer his mind into a completely new body. Unfortunately, though because of the sparseness of his resources, von Strucker could not transfer his mind into that of a conscious adult male as something fully developed already occupied that body. So instead von Strucker decided to do it on a baby, where the mind was barely developed and so would be easier to take over. Despite this, the chances of failure were still extremely high, and von Strucker barely survived the transfer. Von Strucker's aged and empty body was discovered by SHIELD Agents, with him being declared dead while his new body was shipped off in secret. Thus Baron von Strucker of the old HYDRA died that day and was reborn with a new face and a new chance at revenge.
Once again going through HYDRA Preparatory Academy, Strucker finally joined his HYDRA brothers in SHIELD, with only the computerised Arnim Zola and his old friend Werner Reinhardt knowing of his true origins. Rising once more through the ranks, Strucker grew to become the leader of HYDRA in Europe, as well as a high ranking scientist in SHIELD, where he performed many experiments on the Scepter and, unknowingly, the Mind Stone, as well as many of the alien weapons and technology from the Chitauri Invasion of New York. Upon the failure of Project Insight, Strucker knew that HYDRA had revealed itself too much and that it had to cut off some of its tentacles and once again submerge into the ocean if it wanted to survive. Furthermore, Strucker saw this new HYDRA as too divided and corrupted and wanted a new slate to operate from.
Intentionally revealing and giving away many of HYDRA's facilities across the world, Strucker finished it off with the final piece: his "capture". Spending some time in the UN Prison, Strucker was shortly afterwards secretly rescued by his remaining followers where he was replaced by a doppelganger (a good thing too, considering only a short bit afterwards the doppelganger was killed). Soon afterwards Strucker and his small hidden cell went to a place he hadn't visited since WWII; the Alps. During his time in SHIELD, Strucker (with his high authorisation) made sure to wipe out everything, even bare mentions, of the former HYDRA HQ in both SHIELD and across government records across the world. Soon, with most of the original members who participated in the attack either dead or senile, it was as if it had never existed in the first place. Hidden in the old mountain base was something only he, Arnim Zola and Red Skull knew about, a secret so well hidden that not even after scouring the whole base did the SSR find it; a contingency plan in case of HYDRA's failure.
Deep beneath the facility, within its separate compartment, were humongous rooms and compartments. And in them, filled to the brim, were caches of tesseract energy in the hundreds of tons, hidden collected throughout the war and left to gather dust over time. From here, Strucker would be allowed to continue his work and increase his power. Staying in the shadows with his secret cell of HYDRA, Strucker watched as the world fell into chaos, along with the remaining other cells of HYDRA being wiped out (including, to Strucker's satisfaction, his old rival Hale). When HYDRA was finally "finished" and the Avengers attention was directed towards other more major threats (eg: Thanos), Strucker began once more expanding HYDRA's influence once more, gaining new members from desperate youths to even leaders of countries.
However, problems began to arise for Strucker when he began ageing once more and started becoming more vulnerable to disease. This time, Strucker wanted to try out a new experiment based on the work of his old colleague, the now-dead Werner Reinhardt, and Project T.A.H.I.T.I. Called Operation Fountain, the experiment allowed for Strucker to return to his more youthful body, making Strucker think that he had unlocked the secret to eternal life. Yet something went wrong, as suddenly Strucker's body began to rapidly age. At first, Strucker only needed to go through the procedure once every few years. Then once a year. Then once every few months. The rapid ageing finally seemed to stop increasing in speed but at that point, Strucker needed to do it every month to survive and every few weeks to retain his peak youthful condition.
Having well established himself once more in Europe, Strucker seeks to expand HYDRA's influence once more into the New World, personally venturing into New York to oversee the beginnings of expansion, through several of his contacts and public faces, while at the same time finding a way to fix his condition before its too late.
Powers/Weapons/Tech:
- Monocle (Seemingly a simple monocle, at first sight, the truth was much farther from the truth. Hidden inside the monocle is an extremely advanced supercomputer that operates as a targeting system, a hacker and is connected to the HYDRA database, allowing him to identify targets quickly. It can also switch to various visions, such as infrared, night vision, and more, as well as the ability to zoom in and out.)
- Satan Claw (Officially designated the EG-201 Personal Weapon System "Stromschlag," the Satan Claw was originally designed during WW2 by Strucker. Now modernised, the claw has a multitude of abilities not initially available with the original design. Made of vibranium and powered by Tesseract Energy, the claw can fire repulsor like beams which contain similar properties to other tesseract weapons yet even more damaging. The claw can also generate an energy whip, as well as electricity which can shock to incapacitate or kill. The very obvious sharp claws of the...claw are not just for aesthetic, their energy reinforced and sharp nature allowing for them to slice through some of the toughest materials like butter.)
- Energy Pistol (A pistol equipped with Tesseract energy, it has the capabilities to easily destroy brick walls as well as disintegrate people.)

Personality: Unlike Strucker, Schlange is an extremely benevolent man; kind and polite to a fault as well as caring. He is a fair man and also very forgiving, yet also inspiring and charismatic. Despite his extremely high intelligence, he is also quite humble and amiable, making him a good friend to those who know him.

Backstory: Unlike before, Strucker wanted to be more hands-on for HYDRA's expansion as he was during the second world war. With HYDRA rebuilding, this was especially needed. Which was why he created a new persona. Using fake records, a high tech flesh-like mask and a voice adjuster, Strucker created Geheim Schlange. The official story is that Schlange was born to a rather lower-class family in Berlin, having lived in the more poverty-stricken areas of Germany. One day, his father and mother were killed in a car crash, whereupon Schlange received their life insurance funds. Schlange had to survive on his own, but his extremely high intelligence began to show as he started to teach himself. Despite his lack of formal schooling, Schlange was accepted into a Community College where he dominated most of his classes; most significantly science, engineering and math. A real turning point in his life was when he became an intern at Stark Industries. It was here that he learned much of what he knows and had mastered today.
After finishing his education and gathering enough money Schlange created the Armaments-Research-Energy Syndicate, better known as A.R.E.S. It was here that he began developing and creating great innovations and advancements in military armaments, energy development, medical technology and more as A.R.E.S quickly grew to become Europe's most advanced company. A.R.E.S began gathering a huge amount of support from the various European governments, with Schlange quickly becoming one of Europe's richest and most powerful men. His popularity only grew as his technological innovations in medicine and others helped improve European standards of living, not to mention the various charity campaigns where he gave away hundreds of millions of dollars. He started becoming so popular, that he even started entering the realm of politics, at one point being appointed the German Minister for Education and Research, and later the German Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development (though at this point he has retired from both).
Loved by the people and heavily respected by many intellectual circles, some are even calling him the "Next Tony Stark" or "Tony Stark's German Brother."
Declaring his intentions to expand A.R.E.S into the Americas, Schlange decides to personally oversee operations in the US. It was time for the Americans to see true European Technology in action.

Personality: A bit of a blank slate at times, Adler could at times be called semi-sociopathic. He takes no pleasure in his work and outwardly shows little to no emotions. He is an efficient man, he never overkills or overcomplicates his work, only what is necessary. Despite this, he does have somewhat conscious of his actions at times, one that makes him hesitate when having to kill something as innocent as a child or a puppy. Hesitates.

Backstory: Hermann doesn't remember much of his past before he was taken. From what he could recover, he was born in 2007 to a middle-class family somewhere in Germany; most likely around Berlin. He wasn't particularly special in any way, but it appeared he and his family just happened to be the target of circumstances. One night, he was kidnapped from his home, from his family, from everything he once knew. His kidnappers put him in some place he knew not where and the experiments began. Day and night, he went through some of the worst pain he'd suffered in his life. Agony wracked through his mind and body as he was cut open and stitched back together, engulfed in chemicals and more. It was fairly early on in the experimentations that his mind broke and he truly lost himself, what he was. Yet despite this, he felt himself become....stronger. Not necessarily physically but mentally, his mind began thinking faster. He processed everything he saw, smelled, touched at a pace he never thought possible. Everything around him seemed to....slow down. One day the experiments stopped. The pain, the agony, all of it ceased. He couldn't believe at first, the shadows of what had happened to him continued to follow him for some time.
It was then that new sessions began. Now he would meet a strange man every day, and the man would simply talk to him. Strangely it...soothed him, having someone to talk to. The man was kind and friendly, he never pushed too much and always tried to keep him comfortable. All the while other sessions took up his day, ones filled with strange noises and images, all putting messages into his head. Humanity cannot be trusted with its own freedom. The current world is weak and corrupt. A New World Order must rise for the protection of humanity. These goals must be reached by any means necessary. He never did consciously accept them, but slowly they just began to seem...right. Many days passed as more messages were put in his head and more conversations with the strange man. Soon enough, he began seeing the strange man in an extremely positive light, like the father he never knew. Well, the father he forgot would be apter. It was a long time before it all finally changed. One day, the strange man came into the room and brought him out of his room in what felt like forever. There, he was dressed in a black uniform and, in front of a massive crowd of people, told to say words the strange man had told him of before. After he finished, the strange man loudly declared the "joining of our newest brother!" The response was resounding, as the crowd shouted two words: "Hail HYDRA!" "Hail HYDRA!"
It was only then at that moment, where he had unknowingly sworn allegiance to the organisation that kidnapped him, that the strange man revealed his name, his monocle still shining. Wolfgang von Strucker.
Apparently, he had been taken along with several other children to participate in Strucker's experiments to create metahumans, "miracles" he called them. Out of all the years and hundreds of people (perhaps even thousands) Strucker had experimented on, he was among the only 3 successful test subjects that survived (unfortunately, according to Strucker, the other 2 went rogue). A miracle, the future of HYDRA was what Strucker called him. The prodigal son. It was then that Strucker gave him a name: Hermann Adler. Hermann for his status a foot soldier in the wars to come, and Adler as he had soared up above expectations and into the proverbial air like an eagle might. He should've hated Strucker, hate HYDRA as a whole. For stealing him from his family. From taking away his life. From the years of torture they put upon him only to serve as a pawn in their long term game. He knew he should've despised them.
But he couldn't, because Strucker was all he had left; there was no other alternative, only HYDRA could be expected to help him now. So with that, he accepted his new name and his place in the ranks of HYDRA.
He was given a new room and access to all facilities across the base. It was then he discovered was his power was. His brain could process thoughts, senses and everything else at superhuman speeds. He could learn anything, see everything around him, process information in less than a second. Which was why in just two years he was at college-level education. He mastered almost every type of weapon in the world in just a few weeks. He could replicate in a month what a master martial artist trained his entire life to reach. And it only got faster as he aged.
Along with this, he went through extremely intense training, his body reaching peak human condition. His first mission came at age 14, where he went undercover as a high school student and seduced the daughter of a rich oil tycoon. She went into Adler's hands within days, and the amount of scandal and blackmail material she revealed sent the tycoon into HYDRA's hands within a week. More missions followed including more seduction, infiltration, assassination, etc. One of his most major missions came only a year after he began where he met a man he would consistently meet: Drostan McCullen. At first, the relationship was simple; Adler would often be leased to serve under Drostan. But Drostan provided something that no other person at HYDRA provided; genuine friendliness and kindness. Though Adler wasn't too unfamiliar with close bonds and relationships, seeing Strucker as his father and having been showered with it by the various targets of seduction he made, Drostan treated him with a level of respect and casual friendliness that was rather foreign to Adler.
Adler and Drostan would work together many times, usually with Adler helping Drostan on his criminal business. It was during this time that his interactions with Drostan began changing him. Soon enough he began having some semblance of genuine feelings again; humour, happiness and more. Adler, though to be frank he still wasn't exactly sure what it truly meant, would probably designate Drostan as the closest thing to a friend he had.
Years would pass, with he and Drostan finding themselves constantly paired together in missions to expand HYDRA's influence. When A.R.E.S would rise into a position of power, Adler would become the director of the AGS and would be accountable for training all members, which he would do extremely well. Soon enough, Adler would find himself being sent to the US to begin HYDRA's expansion into the New World.
Powers/Weapons/Tech:
- Equipment
- 2x Überpistolen Mark IIs (modified from the Beretta M9 pistols, the Überpistolen have been modified to have significantly greater accuracy and ranger than its normal counterpart. Having full-auto along with semi-auto capabilities, the pistols each have a standard round capacity of 25 and, with the greater muzzle velocity from the pistol design and the special rounds it uses, has a stopping power equivalent to .50 BMG rounds while still allowing for minimal recoil. It can use a variety of rounds from, explosive to corrosive to even shotgun shells. It can also be armed with several attachments, such as flashlights, laser sights, scopes and suppressors. This is not the end of its capabilities, as the Überpistolen also can switch between normal conventional ammunition and Tesseract Energy ammunition, allowing it to fire the same deadly energy bolts as other Tesseract powered weapons.)
- 2x Foldable Katanas (made from a lightweight titanium-tungsten alloy and reinforced with vibranium, these foldable katanas are extremely durable. Powered by Tesseract energy, the katanas can form blades of energy which give them the ability to cut through almost everything. The katanas, however, do not rely completely on Tesseract energy to operate, as their blades are already extremely sharp and so still very deadly.)
- Carbon-Fibre Chord
- Special Steroid Serum (based on Captain America's super-soldier serum, these steroids give Adler enhanced agility, speed, strength, stamina, etc, which allow him to catch up with his superhuman processing power and reflexes. The abilities are further amplified the more doses Adler takes. However, each dose only lasts one hour, and its potency means that to take more than 5 per day can lead to some damaging side effects, as well as taking more than one within one hour apart from the other.)
- Bullet Proof Outfit (Adler's suit and assassin outfit is made of a special fabric that makes it fire-proof and bulletproof up to stopping power below .50 BMG.)
- Chord Launcher (the size of a pen, this device launches a long strong chord using compressed gas that, with a metal hook or pointed arrowhead, can stick to objects and lift a person up towards it despite its small size. Alternatively, the chord can be drawn out and used in a similar fashion to rope.)
Powers - Superhuman Processing Power (Adler's brain can process incoming information and thoughts SIGNIFICANTLY faster than the ordinary human. This allows him to learn things and process his surroundings extremely quickly, as well as predictions. Though this does not necessarily make him the smartest, though it does help a lot, it does make him one of the quickest learning, thinking and reacting people out there.)
- Superhuman Reflexes (A byproduct of his superhuman processing power, Adler's ability to process his surroundings and incoming information extremely quickly allows him to react almost as fast.)
- Superhuman Awareness (A byproduct of his superhuman processing power, this allows Adler to notice and be aware of his surroundings, able to process every detail surrounding him; from noise to smell (sort of like a Spidey Sense). This, paired with his reflexes, means that he is rarely caught by surprise. It would also make him a very good detective if he decided to change jobs.)
- Dead Eye (Named after the ability from his favourite Western Game of all time, Adler's processing power allows him to process everything in front of him. The force of the wind, the trajectory of a thrown object, the distance of a target, all of that. As a consequence, he practically never misses his target, no matter the conditions, no matter the weapon, his mind always calculates a way to hit it. In a sense, he almost sees everything as slow motion.)
- Steroid Enhancements (Despite his peak condition, there are times where Adler's body can't catch up with his reflexes and the commands his mind gives him during extremely intense physical situations. Acknowledging this, HYDRA provided him with a special steroid serum. The steroid allows him to perform incredible feats of acrobatics and athletics, giving him: Superhuman/Enhanced Agility, Superhuman/Enhanced Stamina, Enhanced Speed and Enhanced Strength. Not to mention it does not have the problems of normal steroids, such as addiction, muscle degradation, infertility, etc.)
- Non-threat Recognition (Adler's sense of awareness and reflexes means little can surprise or ambush him if considered intentionally hostile. Yet despite this, Adler's use of said reflexes and awareness relies entirely on whether he considers the object or person in question as a threat. For example, Reinhardt will obviously consider a bullet speeding towards him as a threat and act accordingly, but if an object that seemed non-threatening to Adler (say a flower) sped towards him, Adler may not consider this a threat, and therefore won't act accordingly. This process of recognition could be easily exploited with things such as trap disguised objects. And though Adler's processing power means that he could decipher whether an object was hostile or not extremely quickly when the signs become clear, it still provides an opening of which someone could use to harm him.)
- Body Outpaceage (Despite Adler's mind being superhuman, his body is not. There can be times in scenarios of particular extreme intensity that pushes his body to the limit, to the point where it can't react as fast as his mind wants it to, and could ultimately, potentially, fail. Though his steroids almost nullify this worry and his aforementioned peak condition minimises this, it's still a major threat, especially if Adler runs out of steroids.)
- Time Limit (Adler's Steroids generally last for about an hour. However, the steroid's effects can run out sooner if Reinhardt is in a particularly physically intense situation, which he almost always is.)
- Steroid Overdose (Though Reinhardt's Special Steroids allow him to do incredible feats, they're also extremely potent. Using too many of them in a short amount of time can lead to internal damage and could be potentially lethal. It is recommended that Reinhardt only take 5 at most per day, and using more than one in any less time than an hour apart can lead to discomfort. Anymore could lead to dire effects.)

Personality: A suave and rather eccentric man, with a large sense of humour and a sarcastic streak to meet it

Backstory: Drostan was raised in the Scottish highlands by his father; George McCullen. His father, then, had been the leader of the McCullen Crime Family, one that had spanned for hundreds of years, which in itself was the leader of the "Caledonian Syndicate;" a joint union between all the major crime families in Scotland. Together they dominated the criminal underworld of Scotland and were one of the most powerful criminal organisations on the isles. Despite the fact Drostan was set to be the heir to the Crime Family, his father hated him intensely when Drostan's mother died in childbirth-- giving birth to him. George did as any patriarch of the family did and educated Drostan. He taught him all the works and all the ropes; from simpler things like pickpocketing to larger things like smuggling and intimidation. However, he also treated Drostan cruelly, often beating him for even the slightest mistakes.
Despite this constant abuse, Drostan grew up thoroughly absorbing the teachings his father was passing down and grew to have quite the potential as a criminal. Along with these personal teachings, Drostan would often attend meetings and transactions between his father and various other powerful men of the criminal underworld. It was during this time at a rather young age he met another influential figure in his life: Ulysses Klaue. The two had quickly developed a bond as Klaue spoke with and taught Drostan at the various times they would meet. It was from Klaue that Drostan not only learned more about how to operate in the criminal underworld as well as combat training but also many of the personality traits that Drostan would adopt. Drostan's sense of suave appearance, rather eccentric and carefree personality all came from Klaue. Drostan came to look up to Klaue much more than his own father, seeing him as more of a father to himself than George ever was. However, there was a problem in which Klaue and George were rather staunch rivals, with George's often serious and unfriendly personality clashed with Klaue's. As Drostan became more and more influenced by him, the more tensions between his father and him grew.
This didn't stop Drostan as he began earning his pay in his father's criminal organisation; even at a young age he effectively oversaw and ran various criminal operations; from gun running to drug smuggling. He began to rise through the ranks as more and more "employees" of the organisation grew to respect the teen. But all of that changed in 2016 when his father, intoxicated and under stress, told Drostan of Klaue's death. George gloated over and insulted Klaue, leading to an argument between Drostan and George. It was at this moment that George's hatred of Drostan finally boiled over, with George drawing his pistol gunning his own son down. Bleeding out, Drostan blacked out.
When he woke up, he found himself in some sort of hyper-advanced medical room. It was here that a man entered his room; Wolfgang von Strucker. Apparently HYDRA had a hidden presence within the Caledonian Syndicate, who decided to save Drostan and bring him to Strucker. Strucker's offer was simple: swear loyalty to HYDRA and he could not only get revenge but also gain powers he'd only seen in dreams. In this moment of emotional instability and extreme hatred of his father, Drostan agreed. He volunteered to be a part of Strucker's Experiments and for two agonising years, they continued. That was until Drostan finally became the fourth successful miracle experiment, gaining the ability to manipulate all forms of plasma. Though it takes some getting used to, Drostan eventually grows into his new power; his favourite being fire, followed by electricity.
It was in 2018 that Drostan was secretly deployed into the criminal underworld. Using his newfound powers, support from HYDRA and education in the art of organised crime, Drostan begins creating his own power base throughout Europe. Though unknown, as to avoid getting too much attention from his father or the various hero organisation, Drostan begins becoming a quickly rising star in criminal politics as his string of connections begin to grow, mostly recruiting various smaller criminal gangs and organisations with promises of power. His power only increases as he begins actively recruiting different criminal organisations into his cause, either convincing them or using force. By 2022, Drostan's power had begun to rival that of the other more major European Crime Lords. It was in 2022 that Drostan finally went to strike at his father. Expanding his influence on the British Isles, Drostan gave the major crime families two choices; either join him willingly and profit, or don't and be crushed. Several refused, including his father; as Drostan knew he would.
Drostan crushed the Adams Crime Family within a week and had taken over the criminal underworlds in England and Wales within a month, whereafter he turned his attention on Scotland, and on his father. Fighting was fierce as the Scottish Crime Families fought tooth and nail to keep their influence and their territory, But soon enough they were on the backfoot.
As they continued their push, Drostan found out that his father and the other members of the Caledonian Syndicate were setting up a meeting to talk about the situation; so he saw the opportunity to strike. Infiltrating and attacking the compound, Drostan entered the room the family heads were meeting. After a brief firefight, Drostan succeeded in killing all the heads of the Caledonian Syndicate. Except one: George himself.
After revelling in the shock and terror that permeated George's face, Drostan left the room and the compound, sealing it all shut. And with all the remaining family members of the Caledonian Crime Families and his father inside, Drostan used his powers to burn it down; collapsing the building on their heads and either suffocating or burning the rest to death.
It was this moment that Drostan earned the nickname that he would be eternally feared for across the European Criminal Underworld and finally be noticed in the rest of the world: Little Lucifer. In the wake of this moment that countless other criminal organisations across Europe began joining Drostan, either seeing the opportunity for power or fearing his wrath. It was here that Drostan established The Syndicate; a somewhat secret criminal organisation which connected the many powerful heads of Europe's Crime Bosses.
By 2033, Drostan basically ruled the European Criminal Underworld with an iron fist; all secretly in the name of HYDRA. Now he is sent to the Americas to begin establishing the Syndicate there.
It was time for the criminal Old World to re-colonise the New.
Powers/Weapons/Tech:

- Cane (a cane with a knob-like handle and various intricate decorations along the shaft made of ivory, the shaft itself is made from Australian Buloke-the strongest wood in the world. The handle is made from a silver-tungsten alloy as is the ending tip of the cane; which has been sharpened to the point where it could easily cut through flesh.)
- Lucy (a double-barreled Desert Eagle commissioned by Drostan from A.R.E.S. Its inner design and machinations allow for less recoil and less weight for equal firepower.)

Powers - Plasma Manipulation (Drostan can generate, absorb and manipulate any form of plasma. This includes electricity, fire, or even pure plasma energy. This means he also has a natural resistance to it.)
- Only Plasma Resistant (Drostan is only resistant to plasma, not immune. If forcefully given too much at drastic mass and speeds, it could overwhelm both his absorption and his resistance.)
- Water (funnily enough, large amounts of water can pacify Drostan, mainly regarding his two primary abilities; electricity and fire. Fire can be extinguished if enough is dumped, and water can backfire Drostan's electric abilities as the conductive liquid and lead him to electrify himself. Though this weakness in fire can be overcome by simply increasing the potency in it, that still comes with its own problems as seen below.)
- Generation Overextension (the stronger or more massive of any form of plasma he generates, the more it takes out of him. Particularly massive or extremely potent generations will lead Drostan exhausted and therefore vulnerable.)

Goals:

This culminated during the interwar period where one of the organisation's members, Johann Schmidt, would be recruited into the SS and create HYDRA-Abteilung (the first time the organisation was named as such) or simply HYDRA; which abandoned the old traditions and worship of the Hive and instead favoured a militant and scientific stance to try and create a New World Order. Upon the discovery of the Tesseract, HYDRA's power grew exponentially as its influence spread across all of Europe, producing extremely advanced weapons never seen before in human history. Upon breaking away from Nazi Germany, HYDRA pursued its path of world domination, believing that humanity could not be trusted with its own freedom. What they had not considered, however, was when they attempted to take that freedom, humanity fought back. This was learned the hard way as Captain America and the SSR defeated HYDRA in 1945, seemingly destroying the organisation as Johann Schmidt or the Red Skull would go MIA, and its other major leaders either scattered, dead or captured.
But this was not to be the case as HYDRA scientist Arnim Zola was recruited during America's Operation Paperclip as a top scientist in S.H.I.E.L.D. From there, Zola began rebuilding HYDRA; the new HYDRA grew, a beautiful parasite inside S.H.I.E.L.D. Soon enough, large swaths of S.H.I.E.L.D began being secretly taken over by members of HYDRA as, using S.H.I.E.L.D's resources, HYDRA began expanding its influence across the world. The war taught HYDRA that humanity needed to surrender its freedom willingly. So for 70 years, HYDRA secretly fed crisis and reaped war across the world. And by 2014, HYDRA created a world so chaotic that humanity was finally ready to sacrifice its freedom to gain its security. Project Insight, an operation to build three advanced Helicarriers to help world security, would make sure to eliminate all those who would give major opposition to HYDRA. And once the purification process had been completed, HYDRA's New World Order would arise. However, so close on the edge of victory, HYDRA was given a death blow as Captain America returned; destroying Project Insight and revealing HYDRA's true nature to the world.
Recognising the fact that HYDRA's plan had failed, and to be so exposed would ultimately mean defeat, the de facto leader of HYDRA Wolfgang von Strucker began systematically allowing the remnants of S.H.I.E.L.D and the Avengers to destroy HYDRA facilities across Europe and the world. Strucker recognised that HYDRA needed to once more submerge into the ocean to survive and to do that it would need to cut off some limbs. As Strucker's HYDRA finally shattered and fell apart after Strucker's "death," other factions of HYDRA began rising. From Werner Reinhardt's faction to even the old worshippers of the Hive once again rising to prominence and even bringing back their diety, all were eventually defeated. The final public defeat of HYDRA came when the last known HYDRA cell, led by General Hale, was destroyed and Hale herself killed.
Many thought this to be the end of HYDRA, as the only remaining known elements of HYDRA remaining were mostly reduced to small gangs, some fanatical sympathisers who have sought to "continue the legacy," and at most some regional organisations. Overall, nothing that could be considered a serious threat to the world like how the HYDRA of before was.
But they were deceived. As Strucker and a cell of his most loyal followers continued HYDRA in secret; now able to operate without the threat of SHIELD or the Avengers bearing down on them. Despite the destruction of their facilities, Strucker was able to keep large hidden caches and stockpiles of advanced technology (both earth and alien) in hidden safehouses across the world. Perhaps the most important of these caches was the one he made during WWII in HYDRA's old Alpine HQ; where hundreds of tons of tesseract energy were stored during the war as a contingency plan. All of these newly re-dug up resources allowed HYDRA the power it needed to get back on its feet. Within 18 years, HYDRA's influence was restored to prominence as it soon began to secretly infiltrate and dominate the internal politics of Europe. Via its various public facade organisations, from The Syndicate in the criminal underworld to A.R.E.S in the economic sector, HYDRA has begun to become the de facto masters of Europe as the criminal underworld, economy and political scenes of the continent fell under HYDRA's secret dominance.
Now, with an established stronghold, HYDRA was ready to re-expand. Now HYDRA seeks to spread its influence on the global scale; further east into Asia, further south into Africa and the Middle East. And perhaps most importantly: further west, across the Atlantic and into the US.
With advanced technology and vast resources behind them, lead by powerful members, the goals of HYDRA are coming to reality. And soon, HYDRA's New World Order will arise.

Faction Name: The Syndicate/European Syndicate of Associated Criminal Organisations (ESACO)

Goals: Dominate the global criminal underworld, expand criminal operations into the Americas, serve HYDRA in any capacity needed (secretly)
History: The organisation was started by Drostan McCullen with the secret support of HYDRA and therefore its facade in the public realm A.R.E.S. With Drostan's powers, HYDRA's resources and weapons secretly provided by A.R.E.S, Drostan began quickly expanding his criminal empire in Europe. At first, simply drawing in several of the smaller organisations, Drostan's rise to prominence came in what came to be called the "Caledonia Massacre," where Drostan massacred all the major crime families of the Caledonian Syndicate. Though Drostan's own original criminal organisation, the McCullen Consortium, officially ended its expansion at the take over of the British Isles (as well as some more minor expansions across the European Northern Seaboard), unofficially Drostan continued expanding into mainland Europe, subjugating gang after gang and creating his own puppets across the continent.
Though the Caledonia Massacre brought his name to prominence, perhaps Drostan's greatest triumph came when he expanded into Italy and crushed the Sicilian Mafia, replacing its leadership with collaborators and effectively turning Europe's oldest, most infamous and one of her most powerful criminal organisations into his own puppet. After this, the leaders of the various major criminal organisations in Europe began taking him as the greatest threat to their operations, some even more so than hero organisations like the Young Avengers or The Champions. It was at this height of fear that Drostan gave all the major criminal organisations in Europe a choice. Join him and profit, or refuse and die. Most chose the former, those who did not were reduced to ash.
Soon a new organisation was created: The European Syndicate of Associated Criminal Organisations (ESACO) or simply The Syndicate. A secret organisation connecting most of the major crime bosses and organisations across Europe. At the top, there's a council composed of the heads of them: the Sicilian Mafia, the 'Ndrangheta, the Milieu, the Russian Mafia and more, all with Drostan at the head of the organisation; effectively giving Drostan total control of a Criminal Empire spanning and dominating all of Europe, perhaps the greatest one of its kind. Yet despite its massive size and influence, its existence is mostly a mystery to the public, with only rumours of some sort of organisation uniting some of the major crime bosses of Europe.
Unknowingly serving the interests of HYDRA, the Syndicate now works to expand its criminal empire to other areas of the world; most significantly the US. It was time for the American Criminal Underworld to know how it's really done.

Goals: Secretly expand HYDRA's influence, Dominate the technological race against other corporations (public)
History: As Strucker's HYDRA began to secretly re-establish itself once more, it needed to spread its influence while not revealing themselves. It needed a face. The Syndicate provided one for the Criminal Underworld, yet HYDRA still needed one to interact with the public one. Luckily, they had the perfect opportunity in the form of technological desperation. Ever since WWII up to the modern age, various titans of the technological industry and corporations such as Stark Industries and Oscorp helped advance human society. However, there was only one problem; almost all of these great men, advanced corporations and influential high tech organisations were predominantly centred in the US. Even if nations outside of the Americas still benefitted from them because of their global market and objectives, the US would usually always be the first to receive.
Europe especially was desperate economically and technologically as nations like China and India advanced at a close second because of their pure industry and population, and even Africa had close access relationships to the resources of Wakanda. European Powers needed their own advanced tech company close to home to catch up, and HYDRA was all too happy to exploit this. In 2023, a private company named A.R.E.S was formed in the heart of Germany, specialising in armaments, scientific and energy research. Despite being young, A.R.E.S soon began pumping out various advanced technological marvels and innovations, unmatched by anything made by any other European Corporation or government. With desperation still in their hearts, the nations of Europe seized upon this opportunity and began both funding and purchasing from the company. By 2033, A.R.E.S had become the dominant tech and weapons development corporation in Europe, its power and advanced technological prowess closely rivalling those of Oscorp and Stark Industries. Of course, this was easy considering A.R.E.S had access to the advancements of HYDRA, which itself had the advantage of both Tesseract energy and alien technology.
Though much of the lower-ranked members of the organisation know not who they truly work for, most of the higher-ranked members of A.R.E.S are almost all secretly members of HYDRA, with the CEO of A.R.E.S, Geheim Schlange, at the organisation's head. Now with Europe under its influence, A.R.E.S moves to expand into the US. Publically, to began entering the profitable American market and to compete with the other major corporations. Secretly, to begin the first stages of HYDRA's expansion into the US.
Extra Notes: A.R.E.S is split into 4 different branches; M.A.R.S (Military Armaments Research Syndicate), E.R.A.T.O (Energy Research for the Advancement of Technology Organisation), G.R.S.T (pronounced Gerst) (General Research of Science and Technology) and the A.G.S (A.R.E.S Global Security). As the main security and militant arm of the organisation, the AGS is often armed with the advanced weapon products of ARES and are usually the first ones to receive weapons just released; even receiving some prototype weapons.
